Mason Creek #20

Perfect Problem

Rate this book
Growing up, I spent my summers in Mason Creek.
From chasing fireflies to falling in love, it holds a lot of firsts for me.

Including Jase Jackson.
My first kiss.
And my first taste of heartbreak.
The cowboy next door stole my heart that first summer, and he’s had it all this time.

We made a pact to stay in touch, but like all best laid plans, they fell apart. By the time I made it back, he was long gone traveling the world, and I was left picking up the pieces.

Now, we’re both back to say goodbye to my beloved aunt. And in true, Aunt Shirley fashion, she goes out with a bang and plays Cupid from the grave. I need his help to fix up my aunt’s place. And he needs answers. If we can play nice long enough to forgive, maybe we can work together and both get the closure we came for.

If home is where the heart is, being back in Mason Creek with Jase isn’t just a coincidence, it’s the perfect problem.

Cary Hart

Cary Hart hails from the Midwest. A sassy, coffee drinking, sometimes sailor swearing, Spotify addict, lover of all things books!

When not pushing women down the stairs in the fictional world, Cary has her hands full. Soccer mom in all sense of the word to two wild and crazy, spoiled kiddos, and wife to the most supportive husband. In addition to writing full time, she enjoys binge watching Netflix, laying around in her hammock and baking up cookies for her family and friends.

Cary writes real, raw romance! In her stories the characters deal with life's everyday struggles and unwanted drama, they talk about the ugly and they become the broken. Everyone deserves a happy ending, but sometimes before you can appreciate the light, there has to be darkness.

Growing up, if someone would have told her she would become a writer, she wouldn't have believed them. It wasn't until she got her hands on her first romance novel, that the passion grew. Now she couldn't imagine her life any other way - she's living her dream.

We are back in Mason Creek, more hearts are on the line. Will Jase and Savannah get their second chance?

After eight years, Savannah has returned to Mason Creek to mourn her Aunt Shirley and settle her estate. She has not been back since Jase broke her heart. We are treated to a full circle of love with hurt and growth.

For the last eight years, Jase has not stayed in town long between his world travels in search of extreme adventures, but he too has returned to celebrate the life of Aunt Shirley. Will they take the time to talk about what happened all those years ago? Will they reconnect?

We do get caught up on the lives of our friends living in Mason Creek, laughing with them and their antics, hearing about all the latest gossip, and of course, the meddling of some sort is mandatory.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

OMG!! Jase and Savannah's story was so emotional, sweet, and passionate!

This second chance romance is what loves stories are made of. I absolutely adore Jase and Vanny. My heart broke for their past and was so full with their present. The love they have for one another is so strong. Seeing them come back to each other and them being stronger and better was absolutely awe-inspiring. They are the perfect addition to Mason Creek! An absolute must read! 5 easy stars!

Perfect Problem is the most irresistible blend of small town heart and larger than life personality. Hart takes a stroll down memory lane with all the heartwarming emotion that entails. From past mistakes to lessons learned, Savannah and Jase charm their way under the skin and into the heart.

What an emotional but heartwarming read this is. I love a good second chance romance and Jase and Savannah's story fits the bill of that. It's full of tension, chemistry, angst and all the feels.

They promised to be together after they finally admitted their feelings for each other. However, a misunderstanding had destroyed what they had before it even began. Savannah's back in Mason Creek to deal with things after her aunt's passing and Jase is also back in town.

It's definitely heartwrenching to read Savannah's reaction and feelings to seeing Jase again. They were dealt with so much heartache then and now they are thrust back together. They know they still have feelings for each other. It's up to them if they're going to take their second chance or not. I really enjoyed reading their story.

What an adorable but emotional read this was! Savannah used to spend Summers with her dear Aunt Shirley. While there she met amazing friends and what she thought was the love of her life. Jase loves his small town of Mason Creek but he also loves being adventurous. When Jase and Savannah broke each other’s hearts they tried moving on. When they come together to morn Aunt Shirley they learn that they missed each other more than they thought they did. Can these two reconnect? Can they get to the bottom of what really happened all those years ago? This was a great quick read with an amazing story. I loved Being back in the adorable quaint town of Mason Creek. I live for the small town gossip and meddling friends. The same friends that had me laughing out loud from their banter. I love how supportive they are and how they don’t hesitate to give each other a hard time. l enjoy getting updates on previous characters and meets new ones. I swear With each new book in the series it turns into my favorite one! I already Look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Another fantastic addition to the Mason Creek Series . Cary Hart has taken two of my very favorite tropes in romance Small Town and Second Chance and entwined them in the most wonderfully written storyline . Jase and Savannah both so likable, so relatable and extremely multi layered . It was not long before I found myself becoming more and more invested in their love story . Angsty , emotional, intriguing, second chance , humor, witty banter , off the charts chemistry, heartbreaking , heartfelt, unexpected surprises and some of the most wonderful characters you will ever meet . I guarantee that once you start you will have a very hard time putting it down . Unforgettable and unputdownable with all the feels . Perfect problem has all of the above and more

Summers in Mason Creek were meant to fall in love, and in Jase and Savannah's case not only did they fall in love but they both promised that they would be together forever. But when time and circumstances rip them apart the two go from soulmates to enemies in the blink of an eye. So when the death of Savannah's beloved aunt causes her to come back to Mason Creek the two are destined to cross paths. But will they remain enemies? Or when the truths they both have hidden come to the surface and reunite the soulmates once again? Hearts are on the line and emotions run high with this great addition to the series.

This book will have your heart in a vise. Jase and Savannah met when they were young and became true friends during the summers when Savannah visited Mason Creek. When their relationship turns to love these two make promises to the future. However, somewhere along the way, something happened, and the promises that were made were broken. Now Savannah is back in Mason Creek to settle things, but will Jase allow her to leave without finding out exactly what happened? Savannah is so hurt and upset but one thing that hasn't changed is her attraction to Jase and how he makes her feel. Can they put their past behind them and move on to the future?

I feel like I say this every time I leave a review for one of these books but... my god, I love Mason Creek and all who live there!

This is another fantastic story.
Young love, distance, misunderstandings and going back to the beautiful Mason Creek, lead to a beautiful story of, once again falling into the arms of your one true love and soul mate.
Savannah and Jase were made for each other, time and distance won't change that.
All they need is a chance to show the other that the love never left them.

Definitely recommend 👌

This is Savannah and Jase’s story. These two have a history. Broken hearts and misunderstands lead to more heartbreak. But coming back to town should bring closure, but does it? What happens when you gave your heart away and never ever got it back. They were supposed to stay in touch but that never happened and each of them tried to move on. But when they come back to each other all the feels are still there can they have a second chance? Or is this the final goodbye?

I recommend this book.

Savannah has been coming to Mason Creek to spend time with her aunt every summer and she may have had her eye on an older cowboy there when she was visiting. One summer she said screw it and let him know exactly how she felt and he just happened to fell the same way about her. Their summer romance lasted as long as they could let it but it was time for Savannah to go back home to get ready for college and 8 years later they still had those feelings they had for one another but they was too much hurt there or so they thought. When Jase starts to fight for his girl and Vanny slowly starts to lower her walls will their fire start to burn with passion that they had all those year ago or will it fall off a cliff and they go their separate ways. There are so many ups and downs, happy and sad moments you felt it all. And i mean Cole is still stealing the show but Jase with his essential oil knowledge woah, cowboy ta

Being new to Ms.Hart's work i've been wanting to pick up her books for quite some time now. As soon as i found out about this Mason Creek book i knew i had to read it first! I've been looking so forward to it! I picked it up as soon as i could and got right back into Mason Creek! I so enjoyed this story!

Right from the prologue, Savannah and Jase's journey pulled me in! As they come back into each other's lives i couldn't wait to see how they'd tackle the past as well as the present. I loved how i felt so much with these two throughout! They had such great chemistry!

With Perfect Problem, Ms.Hart has created such a good read with emotion that you won't want to turn away from! It was so awesome being back in Mason Creek! I can't wait to pick up more of her books in the near future!

I love when first loves work out for people fictional or real its so cute and awesome. While Vanny and Jase may have got lost along the way they still loved each other fiercely. When the woman that brought them together has passed they find themselves in contact again. They both want answers but both are cautious. Vanny has been living her life while Jase has been out on adventures because Mason Creek isn't home with her. They navigate the waters and find themselves back to each other.

I really like this series and seeing past Mason Creek families was like coming home. There is just the right amount of drama and sexy times and a girl who tries to get in the way. Another comfort read from Cary Hart.

Cary Hart is back for another round in the infamous and highly addicting Mason Creek Series and y'all, what a book. I loved the first of hers in this series and she stole my heart all over again with this new beauty.

Perfect Problem was all kinds of good y'all.. sweet, steamy swoony, loaded down with all of the feels. A second chance romance you won't want to stop once your start it. Savannah and Jase, well these two stole my heart somewhere along the way of their journey, and I.. never want it back.

I can't wait for the next release in this series.. this one was crazy good, and I can't wait to revisit Mason Creek all over again. What a dream...

I can recommend this book.

The town of Mason Creek is some of the happiest in Savannah’s life as well as where she got her heart broken. It’s been years since she has returned but when her beloved aunt passes away she returns to the honor the woman who had such an impact on her life even if it means seeing Jase again.

Jase too bears the emotional aftermath of his relationship with Savannah. He has travelled the world and moved forward with his life but when he and Savannah find themselves in Mason Creek will this be their second chance or are they destined for heartbreak once again?

This is a heartwarming story about a love that time, distance or misunderstanding could destroy and seeing them find their way back to each other is sure to leave a lasting impression.

I loved this love story. It was a great read. From young lovers lost to coming back together and rekindling the love.

Jase and Savannah have great chemistry when they were young and when they’ve grown up. The back and forth, hot and cold from the beginning, becomes sexy and hot over time. You can feel the love just from reading.

When these two finally come together… no pun intended, lol. They are steamy hot. They can’t get enough of each other!! I love their love story.

If you enjoyed the other books in this series, you’ll like that you get to catch up with the other characters and see where they’re at. I liked the banter they have when they’re all together.

This book is a winner for me! I’ll recommend it it my friends.

In Perfect Problem, we learn the heartbreaking backstory of Jase and Savannah. When outside forces separate the two for eight years, they have given up hope of ever being a forever couple as where their original plans.
Savannah must return to Mason Creek once again when her beloved Aunt Shirley has passed away. What she doesn't know is that Aunt Shirley also knew that Jase and Savannah were meant to be together and she sets into motion plans to bring these two back together for their forever after.
Author Cary Hart is sure to add some humor and silliness when past characters make appearances to help Jase and Savannah find their way.
Perfect Problem is the perfect second chance/feel good story!

Loved it!

Another great book in the Mason Creek series. Jase and Savanah's story was great. This one really got to me on a different level though. The love between Savanah and her aunt was touching and the feelings that were dealt with throughout the book were heart wrenching at times. If you haven't read any of the other Mason Creek books, I would highly recommend doing so. Not because you'd be lost reading this ine without the ithers, but because they are just that good!!!

Side note... there are a few seemingly incorrect word uses and a couple typos but they don't take anything away from the story.

Well I'm alone but I was a little disappointed in this book and I've loved Cary Hart's editions before this. It took way too long to get to what the conflict was and then it just was sort of a ridiculous reason for them to be apart. The plan was they would text etc. to stay in touch and it seems like it would have been pretty easy for her to make contact with him as soon as she got a new phone. Mason Creek is a small place and it wouldn't have been hard for her to find someone to track Jace down.

As always Cole made me laugh so I was glad to revisit with him. This was a cute story but just missing something that Hart's other books weren't. Still worth the read!

Perfect Problem is sweet and sentimental and hit me right in the feels. Jase is a sexy, restless cowboy that is as charming as he is broody. Vanny is a beautiful, hot mess with good reason but she’s also a stubborn spitfire. You need to read this book for the creek, Georgia, the rooster, the hoodie, rocky road, the wooden plaque, the papers and the ring alone. Plus, crazy Cole - enough said! Perfect problem had me swooning for Jase, hometown adventures and I love that Cinnamon Sundays are forever.

I loved the story itself , but the editing was not up to par with the rest of these books. I’m sure each author has their own editing team, but this one was a mess compared to all the others. I know no book is perfect and I can overlook a couple but this was way more than a couple… I just hate that it took away from the story so much for me, because I loved Jase and Vanny and I was so excited for their book…. It’s a good story , if you’re able to look over editing… unfortunately I’m not one of those that can…

Oh my heart strings! Hart delivers such a raw and beautiful second chance romance between Savannah and Jase. The connection that these two have is evident right from the start as these two spar verbally when they are thrown into each other's lives again. But the raw ache from the pain that these two caused because of things that were beyond their control and miscommunication. There are a lot of moments of pure love to real pain that flow through these pages and Hart made me fall right back in love with these characters again. I adored this story from start to finish and it is a stunning addition to the series!

3.5 stars! This is Jase and Savannah’s (Vanny) story continuing with the Jackson brothers. We don’t know whole lot about Jase because he travels a lot. But we find out why in this book! And Vanny we know about a little because of Charlee and Joey. I really enjoyed this second chance story about two kids who grew up together during summer vacations and they spend years apart due to a misunderstanding. Then they find each other again in a really sweet way!

I love a great second-chance story. It had to be quite the story for Jase and Savannah to be at odds - with the way they were over the moon with each other when they were young. It was a sweet, but bittersweet reason why they came together again. I loved that their friends and family helped put them together in close proximity. Loved the sweet and spicy story line, but the family and friends' antics made me giggle too. Gotta love Cole.

Mason Creek is the town of love!

Good story- good connection to the Mason Creek details and characters we have grow to love. Teenage summer romance hits a wrinkle and becomes adult romance years later. Canny and Jase are a cute couple with a endearing story. Their connection the Vanny’s great-Aunt is key to their relationship.
