This is an excellent read! It is very informative about Hoodoo and really opened my mind. It's good to see other religions besides what's always in our faces. Well written and entertaining. Truly a 5-star read!

Finished reading at 1:11am! This was very detailed and informative. There’s a ton of information here, and I really enjoyed it, even though I don’t practice Hoodoo. There was mention of using rune symbols in workings, and I’m not sure if that’s traditional Hoodoo, and so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars, but still an excellent read. Very well written

Reclaiming The Power of Hoodoo is one of the first books that I've read on Hoodoo and I'm so glad I got a chance to read it. I want to take the time to thank the author, Alisha J Brown, for taking the time to write the book. The Introduction really caught my attention initially. I'm not a hoodoo practitioner but I've been doing certain things that are outlined in the book and as I read the book some of the things that I do especially centering around my ancestor altar made more sense. The book is written as an introduction but in my opinion, this book can be used by anyone. It's very clear and concise and everything is explained to you.
I think that's really important especially if you've been taught a certain thing and never understood the full meaning behind, for example, the different colors of candles and their specific meanings.
I recommend this book to anyy black person that wants to delve deep into ancestral magic or someone that wants to get closer to their roots
