Ye screw with this lass, ye get put on yer ass.

Welcome to the whacked and weird world of Fiona mac Cumhaill. If you’re new to Team Trouble, welcome. If you’re back for more—awesomesauce.

In the past two years, I leveled up as a kick-ass urban druid and became the leader of the Fianna Warriors my ancestor Fionn mac Cumhaill needed me to be.

The thing is—four months ago everything changed.

The veil between realms came down.

With dormant genes waking, the dominant races jockeying for their place in the hierarchy, and the world around us pulsing out of control with power, my position as the Fae Liaison of Toronto has gotten off to a chaotic start.

Is anyone really surprised?

In her second series, Case Files of an Urban Druid, Fiona brings you more druid adventure, family shenanigans, and mythical tales of magic and mystery.

What a whirlwind.

I was feeling a little down when I finished the final book in the Urban Druid series, and just happened to read the authors notes where they dropped the news that we hadn’t seen the last of Fi and the gang. So, when I picked up this book this morning, I thought I knew what I would get… and I did to some degree. However it is a more intense, and everyone is under more pressure - if you can believe it - now that the Veil has fallen and the sh!t has truely hit the fan in the real world.

I liked how this book just threw me back into a more intense version of the Urban Druids normal plot. Everything, and everyone, is heightened now that the fae prana is bringing out latent or dormant abilities in the general population, and Fi is being run ragged trying to plug each new hole in the dyke as magic spills firth. It’s a fast paced book with a lot of the old characters, plus some newbies, and I enjoyed the hell out of this. Can’t wait to see what happens in book two.

The journey continues

Warning...This is the second series with Fiona (so you really should read guilded cage first) luckily I have but sadly I read the series with Jules in first before fiona.
It's nice to see Jules in this and see where her journey starts, she gets a cameo in this the beginning of her taking on the supernatural. Sadly it makes me feel like a seer but even when I started the journey with Fiona I had read Jules elemental series first so I have felt like a seer watching over Fiona because she does have cameos in Jules series (season three really) then I guess season four is Emmet and Brendan story (only book one is out at the moment still releasing books)
As I said this is season two (personally a mistake should of listed this book 16 so readers gets a better read in order) also did I miss when Fiona asked slone to marry her? (I did stay up late reading book 15 last night) I don't remember that?
Sadly I have been giving this series three stars because at times it feels like two different writers (yeah I know there is) but when reading sometimes details or events are missed import details things get said like they haven't before when they have (showing different writers) also I notice things don't get commented on when they are family and close so really they should.
(Why don't any of this get noticed with the readers before releases) sometimes the mistakes are kind of gentle but some not so much time passing is also unclear at times.
That being said the storyline is original two great minds set up this world (would make a great tv series but would be hard with the magic and talking animals to do) the characters are great and interesting my only problem with Fiona is she is ment to be this very independent strong minded women who wears her heart out for all kind of girl with honour.but her relationship with slone don't totally match her character she don't put him first or think about feelings she is always telling the two Greeks she loves them and kissing them plus liam, I find it a little to flirty.I get she is loyal to slone and will not cheat there is a line.but she cheats him out of her time and hugs to busy kissing hugging and telling other guys she loves them (is she ment to be the goddess of love?) I get he trusts her and liked the guys as well but come on, if you truly love someone and even if you trust them there is still that 1% jealous worry you would lose them to another or its not love.he puts up with a lot.but her lack of respect to him gets to me isn't she ment to be all heart she hangs with the others more shows them love more mentally and with words? At the moment he is more because he is her bed buddy (but she has cuddled up with the others to just no sex)

I’ve never been this excited by a sequel

As I said above, while I LOVE it when a favored author creates a sequel to a much loved storyline, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to get my hands on one. And guess what? IT DOESN’T DISAPPOINT!

I “totes” “heart” the Clan Cumhaill HARD! (I hope I correctly stole Fiona’s use of language, lol) I mean I was enamored of Bethany Ann Reynolds, but even SHE cannot hold a candle to Fiona and her family. I was heartbroken when the first series came to an end.

But, now, here they are again. And this time they’re joining the game without that obnoxious learning curve. There is still tragedy and loss, but there also moments of real and great joy.

This book is nicely done and I cannot wait for the next to arrive. Until then… ENJOY!

*** Possible Spoilers ***

This book is okay but it didn't stand out for me in any way. I listened to the audio version. Perhaps I might have enjoyed it more in text. Also, the author wrote in first person but I think this particular book might have been better in third. That way the author could have brought more characters forward. The pacing is good and the book moves right along, from one danger to the next, but somehow the drama and excitement didn't come through. I'm sure you've heard of cozy mysteries. This one made me wonder if it was a new sub-genre, 'cozy fantasy'. Of course in cozy mysteries, the protagonist is generally older while here she is quite young; however there was the same cloying atmosphere you get in the cozy mysteries. I can't say I disliked it and I'm not ruling out reading other books by this author but I'm certainly not going looking for me.

Woot! Wonderful follow-up series

I seriously enjoyed the previous series where we were introduced to everyone and this wonderful world. I was so bummed when it ended, bit found out about this new extension quickly.
IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
Set a little bit after the previous books, it continues with flair and panache. Your favorite druid family is back along with the Greeks and shifters and some new faces.
This is a very good story and continues the wonderful world we have come to know and love.
Thank you Aunurn and Michael for these books. Helped me through some rough patches. I heart you both hard.

Excellent read. I just pulled my nose out of book two to jot down a few thoughts.
The Anderle - Tempest collaboration works extremely well.

If you are from a large family (3 sisters, 4 brothers for me) you will recognise the this families' "groove" if you are from a small family - here's a good indication of the interplay and nonsense that can happen when you have 'a sackful' of siblings ;-)

Case files of an Urban Druid follow the characters we met in the 15 book series Chronicles of an Urban Druid; if you haven't read that serries you're missing out! I strongly recommend it.

Back to book 2 - happy reading.

Fiona and family start world wide protection groups as the new others keep popping up

Fiona and Garrett and the family including the gathered ones are setting out to teach others how to protect those that have been outed. Trying to mix everyone and humans in the best ways to cover the greedy and evil as the rift keeps splitting and bringing even more evil into our world. Not as though there aren’t enough bad guys already stirring the mix.
Great story and just as exciting as the previous ones. You don’t have to know the old to enjoy the new but if you get the chance read some of the previous book and you will love them.

OMG but my happy is back! Now I am caught up and will have to wait other new stories but its okay. A sequel that lives up to the first...fifteen!

I loved the original series, and this new series is living up to its predecessor. Epic adventures, a great story of family love that extends to a wide variety of fun and fantastic friends. I abandoned my collection of library books while I binge read the first fifteen; what can I say, the library books are still calling from the corner, but I had to start the new Case Files series to avoid sudden withdrawal. two thumbs and two big toes up

It was nice to see the team work in another city, and I'm looking forward to their work in other cities as well.

Michael, just to let you know that I read the end notes by Auburn and the ones you write. I can prove it by mentioning the one you wrote in the last of the first series, by letting you know that I understand the DFW airport in Dallas being a PITA. I flew in on one airline and had to run to get to the other side to catch another airline. That is, unless things have changed since the middle 80s.

An Explosive New Start

Fiona and her group have to start dealing with the fallout of the veil coming down. Toronto is mostly under control, but everywhere else in Canada/the world is not.

Montreal is a hot spot and the mayor has asked for help. The chief of police is not helping.

Throw in vampire politics and and compulsion for a quick interesting read.

Eagerly awaiting the next book!

The adventures continue!

Excited to see the adventures with Clan Cumhaill and crew continue. Love the Interweaving storyline and the characters. Their interactions with each other and the world around them are perfect. Can't wait to see what is next for our hero's. Hopefully our favorite Greek God will be able to find his way through his troubles. He is missed. He needs to return to his family.

Great new series

I just love these books. I was so sad when the first series ended and I'm ecstatic about it not being an ending but a new beginning. The. Books just seem. To get better and better. Thank you for your clever writing, excellent plots which are full and fast paced. And for making me laugh and warming my heart, brightening my day. With how crazy the world is right now that is no easy task. Much thanks

Fi and friends are back

I love this series and am so glad the authors have continued it. Fi and her friends have a new form of crazy to deal with. Now that the veil is down people's latent powers are coming out and the bad paranormals are not happy with the new powers swirling around. Fi and friends will have to take one city at a time to try and get everything under control and hopefully figure out how to get the veil back up. Cannot wait for the next adventure.

another fun romp with Fiona

This is the first book of the second series featuring the sassy, funny Druid heroine and her band of brothers and other “empowered folks”. I am enjoying this take on “the veil” thinning and falling flooding the world with magic. There are mythical creatures, immortals, vampires, goblins, witches, vampires, shapeshifters and my personal favorite; telepathic dragons! What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

More crazy adventure

Jumping in at the beginning of the second set of this adventure is just amazing as the opening salvo!! You hit the ground running and don't stop! The same amazing characters with a few extras with action, adventure, mystery, family and friends....pulling together for everyone's benefit. Wonderful story at perfect pace...and a want for a continuation of the journey!

Fiona and Family

This book is a little different than the other ones that Michael Anderle typically co-writes. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, not to mention the familiar that belongs to each. I did enjoy this book, but even during the action, it seemed to be a little slow. Hopefully that changes in the next book. I did enjoy the story and became invested in the lead character, which is why I'll be reading the next book in the series.

Does Not Disappoint!!

Clap, clap, clap Mr Anderle and Ms Auburn for an extremely well written book that doesn’t take away from the previous series with Fi and her merry band. If this is the start to this new series, I certainly am excited to read more. It sucked me in from the first paragraph and held me until the very last word.
Bring on the next book!!!

I love this series! It's actually the continuation of Ms.Tempest's series, Chronicles of an Urban Druid. The characters are awesome, down to earth yet supernatural people but most importantly, they're family. Aided by dragons, animal familiars, Greek Gods and a wisecracking battle-bear, they keep their world safe from supernatural baddies while keeping each other safe as well. Excellent read.

Some things never change

Fiona and her family are back, yay. However trouble is never far from them. Different city, different adversary, but trouble always finds them. I hate when the book ends, I could read about the shenanigans they get up to all day every day. I love the humour, the family vibe and the love, family and adopted family, they’re awesome.

Fun characters continue!

Once again, Fi and her fantastically fun family and friends (couldn't resist) step up to provide an enjoyable, lighthearted adventure. For many of us, stories with well developed characters and magic are a wonderful escape from the usual. Ms Tempest stays true to her characters and is a delight to read.

Book 1 or Book 16? That is the Question.

Ok, the subject is a lousy twist / quote on Shakespeare.

As the author mentions this book is self contained but IMO if you haven't already ready the preceding 15 books of Fi you should go and do so.

You'll get both a great read and thorough foundation in the enchanted world of this brilliant and thankfully on going series.

Happy to have more

I read the first 15 book series and am happy to have more Clan Cumhaill. I did drop one star because the story had a little less developed feel than the previous series, but I am still excited to keep reading. These books are great, fun reads and I heart both Auburn Tempest and Michael Anderle hard for writing them.

An exciting and entertaining start to this series!!!!

Congratulations to Auburn Tempest and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and e,xciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.

a start to a. beautiful beginning!

When I finished book 15 of the first series, I was sad because I thought that was it! I wanted more, and when I saw book 1 of the new series, I was thrilled! The authors did a phenomenal job on the first series, read them, and this book did not fail me! Going on to book 2!

Mayhem in Montreal, book one of the Case Files of An Urban Druid series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). I'm not enjoying this offshoot of the Urban Druid series, but the story line was good. I think I just wanted more of the regular characters than the introduction of so many more. Can't fault the writing or action, as always, it was top shelf.

I listened to it on audiobook, I feel that I might have enjoyed it more had I physically read it. The narrator kept the same tone and pace throughout all the different scenes, whether it was conversation of action, and that is one of my biggest pet peeves with audiobooks. It just was not easy to follow.
