I really wanted to love this story but I did like some parts. I hate writing a bad review on one of my favorite authors. The story is single father and nanny romance. Raine is a sweet girl. She is in need of a job to pay bills so she answers an nanny ad. Raine is nice, pretty, caring and easy to love. I just hate how she becomes fearless then all of the sudden she is terrified. She is supposed to be a strong heroine. Leo is looking for a nanny for his daughter. He is cold, short answering, handsome and good father. I love that he cares even though he doesn't want to with his ex. He was this bada$$ then all of the sudden he's not. Leo is supposed to be a big guy that is almost scary because of his cold demeanor. These are supposed to be strong characters but ended up being too unrealistic at times. I do like how Claire talks about domestic violence and how to notice the red flags. The writing was actually really good and flows throughout the book. I have zero issues with that. I recieved this ARC through Bookfunnel for my honest opinion.

Wow! What can I say? I absolutely loved reading this book. Riane is going for a job as a nanny and her boyfriend Mel tells her no. She leaves for the interview and afterwards is offered the job. Leo is a single father after his ex wife abandoned him and their daughter Skyler. Riane and Leo start getting along really well and then Mel steps in and brings danger to their lives. Suddenly Riane ends up in hospital. The excitement of the story held me enthralled to the wee hours of the morning because I couldn’t put the book down until the very last page. There is a HEA for this family and a baby on the way.

Riane connects with 4 year old Skyler the moment she met her, and makes it hard for her sexy grumpy Dad (Leo), to do anything but offer the charming Riane a job as Skyler's Nanny. Unfortunately Riane's boyfriend Mel, doesn't want her to take the job, and lose his control over her. Will she take the job? Can they resist the attraction between them? What will happen if Leo's Ex needs help too? I enjoyed this drama filled romance, Leo is protective and easy to like, and Riane has a protective spark and caring nature (she was also was easy to like). I enjoyed a good laugh at the ending, it was entertaining.

Blind read
So, I went into this without reading the synopsis. I figured the title painted a pretty clear picture, right? No. Not really, no.
It was good, I won't lie. It had a spunky, sarcastic Female lead with a growly, overprotective Male counter; a definitive villain that stayed true to character to the end; and a decent plot. I was not prepared for the heavy triggers in the first sixty pages, but they made an impact, and I am glad I didn't end up hating the ex wife.
I would definitely read another book from the author.

Wowsa this book was good but twisted in parts but that's what makes you hooked in to it more. Raine is going for interview for nanny job and her ex Mel doesn't want her too. Raine connects with 4 yrs old Skye and has found herself having feelings for her boss Leo but when his ex wife shows up Brigitte who is pregnant with another man's baby it's a big mess but Raine and Brigitte are friendly but when her ex Mel comes after her will she walk away to protect Leo and his daughter?
