Mike Good’s ship was about to come in! Literally.

All he had to do was cash out the twelve tons of Thai weed aboard and a remote tropical Paradise, complete with a sunken treasure, would be his.

But when a vengeful competitor turns snitch, all hell breaks loose. And when snoopy Customs inspectors, an obsessed DEA agent, an award-losing investigative journalist, a senile new president, a team of mysterious mercenaries, and the LAPD get involved, getting arrested or shot seems more likely than retiring young.

Ripped Off, Book #13 of the Senor Bueno Travel Adventure Series, is a hilarious adventure full of political satire, snappy dialogue, irreverent humor, quirky characters, vivid locations, high risks, and even higher rewards.

With plenty of action, plenty of drama, plenty of laughs, and even some romance, Ripped Off has something for every reader.

If you like reading and laughing out loud, you’ll love Ripped Off. Grab it now!

Ripped Off - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Mike, aka Senor Bueno, Lily, his luscious girlfriend and the others are plagued by the glue-addicted, fanatical Gerardo - the roving reporter with a hard-on to expose Mike as the infamous Senior Bueno - and Mike's sister, the dreaded DEA Agent Bonnie B. Good, who are willing to do anything to accomplish the latter's Mission Buzzkill. She impounds Mike's pakalolo cargo...that gets stolen by a nemesis of Heavy Chevy's.
Recovery's imperative, as Mike's in big trouble with Lily's parents, the General and Mrs Chen, (for very different reasons) should he fail!

Ripped Off has it all for those looking for adventure, humor, satire, and crazy characters. Entrepreneur Mike Gold has reaped his harvest and found a low-risk method to get his wares into the states and to become a person of means. Unfortunately, the US government has a dim view of this enterprise. The president is doing everything to stop the flow of this traffic. When MIke's sister gets a tip about the shipment, she and her glue-sniffing reporter compatriot jump into the story and begin to muck up the works. Not to be outdone, a rival of Mike's wants the product and has a plan to ruin the adventure. Mike and his news reporter girlfriend Lily learn of an island for sale and need funds to buy the place. Rescuing the product from the government and his rival involves working with Lily's family, never a good thing. The risks are high and the plots are complicated. The result is hilarious, laugh-out-loud action. The story is clearly written and the characters are wacky and consistent with previous stories. Definitely an enjoyable addition to the series. A definite must.

Ripped Off is Mike Good's best book ever! The characters are always fun and the adventures hilarious.

I have enjoyed all the books and I hesitate to say this without sounding like I am putting the others down, but this one seemed to flow seamlessly. I didn't have to look back to see who some of the characters were or remind myself of a plot line. But that meant it was over way too soon!

This book should rival Lily's as a best seller!

This book was hilarious! Mikey has to get his Thai weed to the US. Between arch enemy Dick Bigley, DEA sister Bonnie , award losing reporter Geraldo and Reagan he has some misstep’s. We see what a tough negotiator Mrs. Chen is. We meet her assistant Oddball! Skipper, Mike ,Dee and company find and buy an island which may or may not have treasure. This is the best book in the series! I couldn’t stop laughing! I highly recommend this book and series.

The fruits of all of poor Senor Bueno's labor get ripped off and that's when the fun begins. The characters are very well-drawn, and the dialogue/conversations between them is clever and fun to read. The story moves along at a good pace and the plot is well-crafted. I actually think this book would make a great movie. My favorite of the Sr. Bueno series so far!

Zany adventure

Further exploits of Senor Bueno, as he parties and battles his way through a twisted labyrinth of smugglers, snitches, government agents, ruthless bankers and more or less drug-addled compatriots in his quest to improve the world one puff at a time

Does Philanthropy Ever Go Smoothly?

Like all of Señor Bueno's adventures, Ripped Off was fun and full of action. It flowed well, and the climactic moments were both exciting and funny.

The light tone the author achieves with his writing helps to elevate the characters above the dangerous and grim realities they're involved in, much like "Hogan's Heroes" depicted a WWII prison camp we could all laugh at. That's not easy!

Mike Good is truly a good guy who only wants to grow his crop, chill, and help people along the way. To do this he encounters some seriously bad people as well as some deluded, misguided, and petty people. As I see it, Mike is always the White Hat in those situations. That's why people love him!

I lived through that era, but even so, I'm always further enlightened while being thoroughly entertained. And I loved the last line, a clear suggestion that there'll be a "next book!"

I received an advanced reader's copy of Ripped Off for free in order to give feedback to the author. I'm pleased to finally be able to freely share my experience. The latest Señor Bueno adventure is a fabulous read!

Read as ARC. The usual Señor Bueno hi-jinx and snappy, laugh out loud dialogue in enjoyable double cross caper. Old and new ever more crazy characters enhance the fun.
