Army Ranger #1

Ranger's Destiny

Rate this book
These U.S. Army Rangers fought for their country. Are they willing to fight for the women they love?

Wounded bodies, wounded hearts…

U.S. Army Ranger Cory Foster may be a battle-hardened warrior who enjoys playing the field with all the ladies, but nothing in his Army training prepared him for his little sister’s unexpected pregnancy or its tragic consequences. But his sister isn’t the only woman who blindsides the commitment-phobic soldier.

Doctor Madeline Wright has good reasons for not trusting military men. But when Cory needs her help, which will win: her aversion to soldiers or her compassion? Cory is accustomed to being in command on the battlefield. But is Maddy willing to let him take command of her heart?

His best friend’s sister...

Ella Foster keeps looking for love in all the wrong places. Even her adored big brother couldn’t fill the empty places inside her. Maybe that’s why she gave her heart to a dirtbag who knocked her up and dumped her. His abandonment hadn’t hurt half as much as the miscarriage that followed. What she really needs is a man like Chase Richards. But her brother’s best friend is so far out of her league, why would he want someone like her?

The Bro Code says you shouldn’t fall in love with your best friend’s kid sister. But the Bro Code never anticipated a woman like Ella. When Cory asks him to watch over his little sister, Chase is determined to do the right thing. He may be the quintessential nice guy, but even nice guys have their limits. Chase knows what to do on the battlefield. But how can he battle his heart when it comes to the woman who’s heated up his dreams for years?

Tracey’s writing has been described as “vivid” and “gut-wrenchingly beautiful” and has been accused of making readers cry. All of which makes her heart feel ten times bigger because (despite having the appearance of a got-it-together business owner) she’s a hopeless romantic who believes that love—in all its many forms—truly makes the world go round.

Get swept away by wounded, flawed and vulnerable heroes (and the women who love them).

Join strong heroines on their riveting journeys through loss, forgiveness and self-realization.

Hang onto the edge of your seat through action-packed adventure and drama.

And most of all, escape into the combustible combination of ‘slow burn’ sensual pleasure and true love!

Tracey is a former Army combat medic and EMT. When not writing (or working part-time to support her writing habit), Tracey enjoys riding her motorcycle (which she affectionately calls ‘Black Widow’); spending time at the lake with family; and watching her favorite soccer teams (which include her kids’).

She lives on a 3-acre oasis in small-town Minnesota with a small menagerie of critters, an infinitesimally understanding hubby, and two almost-grown children who put up with the ‘embarrassment’ of a motorcycle-riding, romance writing mom!

***ARC received in exchange for an honest review***

After reading the first book in this series, I couldn't wait to read more about Chase and Ella! I really enjoyed this short story. It was fast paced and easy to read, and I am enjoying the storyline. I would recommend to all that love to read a good military romance. I can't wait to see what happens next in book 3 now.

I read the first book in the series and I enjoyed it a lot and could not wait to read Ella and Chase’s story. So I was over the moon when the author offered me a complimentary copy of Ranger’s Destiny in exchange for an honest review.

The story picked up where the first book ended. Information from the first book was included in this installment. It’s advisable that you read the first book before proceeding to Ranger’s Destiny. As stated earlier, this Ella and Chases’ story.

Chase Richards has been in love with his best friend’s sister for three years. However, he hid his feelings out of his respect for his friend. Ella felt the same way about Chase but she had no idea that her feelings were reciprocated. As a result, she got mixed up with a low life who used her and then discarded her. She finds herself struggling to deal with both the physical and emotional scars that she received as a result. When her brother was injured and couldn’t be there for her Chase took up the mantle. However, he found himself in a constant battle with his feelings for Ella. Will they continue to fight their feelings or will they surrender?

The characters were well developed. There was sufficient information about them to help me understand their behaviour what motivates them. This was a quick, engaging and exciting read. The love between Ella and Chase was believable as it did not happen suddenly.

Overall, I enjoyed this installment and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

~ 4.5 STARS ~

After reading Ranger's Luck, the first installment in the ARMY RANGER SERIES, I could not wait to start this one. Ranger's Destiny starts off in a scene we didn't quite see in book 1, but we 'knew' about it - when Chase and Brett pick up Cory after he had gotten hurt. And let me just say that I LOVED THAT! I felt like I got the whole picture now and made me feel even more invested in the general story line behind this series. I love these characters! The guys are all Army Strong but yet, easy to relate to.

Ella. Ella was very much off-limits. She was Cory's little sister and one of the secondary characters from book 1 whom I could not help but really like (and at times, feel sad for). Chase was Cory's best friend and he was always there for him, come hell or high water, he was there. So when he had to go and be there for Ella, he did not think twice. Boy was he in for a ride...

Ella didn't make it easy for him to "stay away" from her. Suffice it to say, he didn't stay away long! He couldn't. He'd fought it long enough.

When Ella's life is threatened (Rolando is still causing trouble), Chase goes into full-on protective mode. Cue my swooning! :)

Another wonderful and at times steamy quick read you should pick up if you're sucker for a guy in uniform. ;) Book 3 will follow Maddy and Cory's story and Book 4 will continue Ella and Chase's. This kind of serial is new for me, but I must say, I'm a fan of this style and this author!

I read both of these books one right after another so the story from Ranger's Luck was fresh in my head. That being said,I didn’t care for this book because I already knew the storyline before it even got part of the way into the book. It was just a continuation of the book one with a little bit of rewording and additional dialogue of Chase and Ella’s story. I was hoping for more in depth story or even a different part of the story. The mission the Ranger team goes on makes me happy knowing that everyone will be safe now. Even with all of that I will still read the next books from this author because I liked the story as a whole.

Ranger 's Destiny. This book was an enjoyable read giving me insight into the world of Army Rangers. The story dwells on two couples trying to make relationships work even though they live in different types of worlds. Cory and Chase are dedicated Army Rangers married to their jobs. Cory stumbles into Maddie's life and turns it upside-down when he gets beaten up and needs a nurse. Chase can't get Ella out of his system even though she is off limits because she is Cory's sister. You got to read what brings them together. This is a must read series!

Ranger's Destiny (Army Ranger #1) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is an emotion packed very good read. A book that focuses on two couples Cory And Maddy & Chase and Ella. Cory is Ella's older brother and is a Army Ranger with Chase so their stories are entwined together. Well written, has interesting plots and compelling characters. Book ends on a HEA for now and will continue in book #2. A enjoyable and entertaining read. I'm posting a voluntary review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

I LOVED this trilogy – it was absolutely brilliant!

To experience the situation that these Army guys go through is humbling.

The detail is amazing, the love, romance and honour shines through and it was a completely additive read – I loved each book (this is book one in the trilogy) and I certainly did not want to put them down.

I have no hesitation in giving this book 5 stars - well done Tracey!

Just when you think well ok this is going to give you the meat and potatoes of each of the couple's relationships it ends in a cliffhanger. Grrr. I hate cliffhangers! Now, trilogies I get but wrap up at least something in the many unresolved things left dangling. Does not make me want to continue reading. On kindle unlimited or not.

Love can endure…

Chase Richards has been attracted to his best friend’s sister for years. Warned off, he knew Ella Foster should not even be on his radar. With what she has had to deal with recently, Ella is struggling just to keep herself together. When her brother is injured and unable to help, Chase steps up to provide the support and love she needs. She has had feelings for Chases for as long as she can remember. Will this be a chance for the two of them to explore those feelings?

Chase is an Army Ranger and is used to dealing with tense, life and death situations. When Ella is threatened, however, his protective instincts are sky-high. Love doesn’t care about obstacles and when it comes to her health and happiness, Chase knows what he has to do.

Wow, did Chase just crawl into my heart with how he deals with, and loves on, Ella. Ella is young and dealing with past decisions and troubles as best she can. A bit immature still, she definitely is getting a crash course on adult struggles and choices. Chase is finally admitting his feelings for Ella are worth risking his friendship with Cory for and, at the heart of it, his life to ensure she is safe and protected. Yup, his feelings and actions definitely rang a bing, bing, bing on the love-o-meter.

This was another quick read in the series with good writing, natural dialogue and honest emotions that had me cheering and hoping for a happy ending for them both.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, abuse, suspense, twists & turns, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Ranger's Luck: a Novella

This is Ella and Chase’s story. Chase is helping Ella as her brother in injured. When danger comes to her door he will protect her with his life. He has wanted her for years but Cory warned him off before. Ella needs him now more than ever to get through her horrible ordeal. Can Chase help her heal and get Cory to understand he needs her for himself? Does Ella want Chase as much as she needs his protection or is she just using him?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I received this book from HEA Book Tours, PR & More in return for a fair and honest review.

Going along in the same style as Ranger's Luck, this novella runs along a similar timeline as the first, so that you get to see what was happening outside of Maddy's bungalow. You also find out more about Chase and Ella (obviously, considering it's their book!) but it also continues on for a short while after the timeline of the first finishes so it gives you a good roundup to that side of the story.

Once again, you get a good backstory to the novella whilst still wanting more, which is a good thing because there are two more novellas to come apparently.

One steamy scene again to get you hot and bothered. Definitely a short but hot novella series to keep and re-read back to back. Definitely recommended.

Army Ranger Chase has been attracted to Ella since the first time they were introduced to each other. The only problem is that Ella is his best friend’s sister and Cory is a fellow Army Ranger on his Team which makes Ella off limits.

When she comes to him and needs saving from her crazy ex-boyfriend, Chase becomes her knight in shining armour but he gets more than he bargains for and is not only fighting her ex-boyfriend but is also fighting his feelings for her.

Reading about this Army Ranger navigating through unchartered territory was a fun and humorous ride filled with suspense and action.

Ranger's Destiny picks up in the middle of Ranger's Luck, but this time from Chase and Ella side of the story. Chase and Ella met 3 yrs ago for the first time when Chase stepped in to prevent something terrible from happening to Ella. But because Cory, Ella's brother, requested that his sister to be "off limits" to his fellow Army Rangers, Chase has never acted on his feelings for Ella. Good paced story, fun to see the same situations from a different angle. I for one can't wait for the next part of the story!
