I was lucky to read an advanced copy, and whilst the subject matter is definitely not my usual kind of read, I enjoyed the storyline very much and found the book to be very well written. I didn't enjoy Fifty Shades at all and was slightly reluctant to delve into this, but... My opinions of the book itself;
It was very risque in places, and that is putting it mildly, and whilst I consider myself a man of the world, there were things I read in there I would never consider doing with my other half.
The author is very brave putting this out there, but it isn't your usual smut by numbers. This is a story of what can happen if a person crosses that line and strays, but I won't spoil anything. Besides, all is not resolved and I believe this is part of a trilogy. Not sure my nerves can take it, but I will most definitely be reading, if only to find out if Mr Michaelson still has his 'bits' in tact.
Very well done! Nobody was more surprised than me that I liked this.

This might have worked if it had undergone a few more rewrites and the "based on a true story" was left off
Don't get me wrong, I love me some kink and I'll read just about anything but this just lacked the fantasy/romance angle that makes tropes like cheating and conflicted sexuality work.

Fantastic start to this series. I haven’t really read many M/M romantic erotica, so I can’t really compare to be fair, however this was really well written and a hell of a lot hot.
Zane is married to the love of his life but recently felt their relationship lacked something. By chance he happens across his college friend and one time lover and decides to meet for a beer. Suffice it to say, things get hot really quickly. What is not planned is the wife finding out and getting off on it. It’s quite the triangle really.
It’s a very short story, I think I read it in an hour but it’s really well written, the characters are engaging and the storyline is easy to follow. There’s tension and attitude, chemistry and sexiness. It does end quite abruptly but the author has left it so there’s more to come. (No pun intended)
I think some or all of it has true to life elements, so the character is Zane and the author is Zane. For a debut author, this is quite a risk, however the author can bloody write romantic erotica really well and I find myself needing the next instalment and I’m intrigued as to where he takes it next.

Super Hot!
I was worried going in how I was going to feel emotionally reading this book because the subject matter hit very close to home, but there was a twist I didn't see coming. The book pulled me in from page one. I couldn't put it down. It was so well written that it pulled me out of my own emotions and allowed me to feel the emotions of the characters. The fact that it's based on true events gave it that much more effect. Not many people would open their world in the way this Author has. I'm glad I was given a glimpse and can't wait for part 2.

I love to read M/M both romance and erotica so that was a big plus for this book, but there was an element of this books storyline that I was very cautious about and would not normally choose to read. I was offered an Arc copy kindly for an honest review so here we go!
This book was incredibly well written, it was very descriptive and engaging and one of the draws of this book has to be it's real life element. The author is incredibly brave in allowing us a glimpse into his life and that makes me feel quite honoured. I was engaged enough to worry about all the characters...Zane who had a very happy marriage but felt a little lost... his wife who had to dig deep to find out what her husband was possibly hiding... the old flame of Zane's who perhaps still held a torch for him. It was a complex plot that was as enticing as it was engaging and it held a few shocks and a scene or two, that at the time I thought WTH as so not my thing but despite that it's definitely a 5 star book because the writing was THAT good.
So I will sit here and wait for the follow up Zane so get writing sir!

I am not good at putting my feelings into words, and I had a ton load of them.. So I hope I have at least showed some.
So where to begin, this is only my second M/M book that I have read.
But I really absolutely loved it.
Zane is a new Author and this is based on real life, I think he was very brave to write his story and share it with us. But I'm so glad he did.
This is a short read (far to short!!)
But it is full of emotions which you can feel as you read every turn of the page.
It as Hot sexual scenes and I mean HOT!!
I found It was well written and had me from the start and held me there till the end, which left me wanting more. I can't wait for book 2.

OMG what and amazing book, right from the start it wasn't what I was expecting (and yes you will have to read it to find out why), I couldn't put it down
This is based on real events which make the book that more thrilling and makes you more invested in the story and characters, there are some very hot and steamy chapters which will definitely have you hot and flustered while reading

Wow, this book left me hot and bothered and shocked but most of all impressed. I would never have guessed this was a debut novella. I would describe it as an emotional, tense, romantic, shocking and extremely hot rollercoaster of a ride. Zane did such a wonderful job with this story. He has such a way with words, and how he tells the story. You immediately feel what he feels, whether it was a struggle to decide, guilt over the decision, to the extreme desire to absolute love. It is a rare ability and Zane has it mastered already. Yes there is a bit of a cliffhanger that totally leaves you wanting more. I have no doubt that it will be worth the wait. This book has a little something for both romance readers as well as erotica readers. I really encourage you to take a chance and give it a try. Zane thank you for taking the risk and putting this out there and sharing a little piece of you with everyone.

I don't even know where to start with this review, except to say... WOW! I don't typically read a lot of M/M romance/erotica. Some, but not a lot. But, holy hell!! This one is amazing!
The book is a short and quick read, but it is packed with emotion, inner turmoil, hot steamy scenes, and new discoveries. There's a void in their marriage, but it doesn't involve the love they feel for one another. That's solid. What happens next fills the void for each of them but in very different ways. Both finding excitement, arousal, and a renewed passion for each other.
I'm not going to put any spoilers, but I will say this. I need to buy a wardrobe.
Based on real-life events, the bravery it took for this author to put pen to paper is astounding. And to do it with such heart and skill is doubly so.
Can't wait for Part II!!

Great read if....you enjoy romance novel, quick reads, complicated situations, and the first in a series.
Side note: The start to this was so hard to walk away from. It gave me that intense, can't look away, can't stop until everything crashes feeling and I loved it. The writing was easy to read and different in the sense, it felt more like I was being told a story from a friend than a writer telling a narrative. I know for some people that's not a good thing, but I personally enjoyed it.

Ok....so this was a little outside of my Erotica bubble, but I thought hey why not give it a shot. I am glad that I did. I haven't read much M/M. However, I really did like this novella. It was very well written. Most definitely HOT. I would recommend this to anyone with an open mind. I look forward to reading the next in the series!

WOW!!!! This book blew me away. Its well written and the Author pulls you into the story. As you start reading this book you will feel like its you wanting, watching and getting turned on. This is a HOT and SEXY book..

I am not going to tell, you need to to get this book, I promise you will love it. The author will have you hooked from the first page and have you craving the words that remain unread till you reach the end... This book deserves more than 5 stars and I would recommend this book to all my friends..

I was a bit skeptical when I read that this was based on real life events. Thinking it would be a completely exaggerated re telling of said events. I was pleasantly surprised that that was not the case. It turned out to be so very well written that I actually felt Jenna's arousal as she watched Zane play. I'm eagerly awaiting for part two! Bravo!!

This is a book and series that everyone should read. A real life story in the life of Zane and Jenna. I loved the original version as well. They are an amazing in sharing a part of their lives that touches us in so many ways. To see the love between them is priceless. In reading She Loves To Watch Me Play you will have high emotions: The love, the passion that just burns off the pages and so much more. I cannot recommend or say enough about this. A must, must captivating, heartfelt and sensational story.

Just finishing this new revised version of She Loves to Watch Me Play and Hearing what both Zane and Jenna were thinking at the time, gave me a better understanding of the turmoil, confusion and heartbreak that they were both going through. I loved this version so much more, even though it still broke my heart, because I could feel how much Zane loved, cared for and respected Jenna but I could also understand the connection that he had with Chad and how those feelings were never resolved…he was torn. This was not an easy time for Zane as he broke his vowels and hurt the people he loved most in the world. BUT!!! People are too quick to judge others at times, until you walk in someone else’s shoes, I really don’t think you can honestly say how you’d react if you were in the same situation.
Hearing Jenna’s desperation as she tried to fight for her marriage and how this desperation made her act out in a way that made her over step boundaries, was also very real and I could totally understand her every move.
This is a truly heartbreaking read and not as black and white as you’d think this situation should be.

I've read a lot of erotic M/M fiction, but I can honestly say I was a bit nervous reading She Loves to Watch Me Play. Based on true life events, Zane takes us on a journey in his life. Where an old flame becomes a part of his life again and he finally realised what was missing from his. The love he feels for his wife is beyond anything I've ever read. The emotions and feelings of torment and betrayal he feels towards his wife are all laied bare for us to read. Amazing introduction and fantastic story. You really had me shocked in places and left me gobsmacked by how honest you have been telling your story. Now I'm intrigued how the story unfolds. You have an amazing wife in Jenna and I can't wait to read more about all of you. Now hurry up with part 2 please 😉 if you love hot erotic M/M with a twist this is a story you don't want to miss would highly recommend this book

I chose this rating because it had to take a lot of courage to tell a story like this. To tell your heart and soul to everyone. To fulfill part of your life that is missing risking all that you love near and dear to your heart. Absolutely beautifully written and I that is saying a lot coming from me this is the first book like this I have ever read. Love the emotion put in this story.

I was curious. Well I wasn't disappointed. Zane and his wife Janna love one another, but Zane feels like something is missing. When he sees an old friend on social media, who he had a relationship in college he feels a spark he hadn't felt in awhile.
This book has love, conflict and betrayal and I absolutely loved it.
Zane you wrote an amazing book and I can't wait for Book 2.

This is another first for me.
I read it in a single sitting and while M/M is not exactly my sort of thing, it was certainly interesting.
So, when most men go through a mid-life crises, they buy a sports car, leather trousers, take up gambling. Well, not this guy, he hooks up with an old flame in a steamy affair that blows in his face... In more ways than one.

Is too much honesty a good thing? In my opinion, no, not at all, and this book definitely flourishes all the more for the brutal honesty that unfolds on every page.
I had no idea what to expect from this novella, but what a read it was. I am still in shock!
I felt like I was watching the events unfold in person, the writing was so descriptive. And at times, I was left open mouthed at some of the antics our distinguished author got up to.
I have to say, and this doesn't happen often, my gob was well and truly smacked when I realised the twist. Jeez, I wasn't expecting that at all.
I didn't know about half of this stuff, and now I'm curious to know more.
Mr Michaelson is either very brave, or a glutton for punishment, but whatever we think about what he did, the love he feels for his family is blatantly obvious, and I hope as the story unfolds, he manages to keep what is most important to him, and the family can move on. After all, how many of us can say we have never made a mistake in our lives?

I have literally just finished this book and managed to pick my jaw off the Kindle screen.
Bloody hell - what did I just read?
As shocked as I still am, I haven't enjoyed a book so much in ages. I was on the edge of my seat wondering when the fall out would begin, and it isn't even my preferred horror genre. Saying that, I can't help but like and respect Zane. The guy has a big old set of balls writing this and putting himself in the firing line.

Bloody hell - what did I just read?
As shocked as I still am, I haven't enjoyed a book so much in ages. I was on the edge of my seat wondering when the fall out would begin, and it isn't even my preferred horror genre. I was given this book to read for an honest review, and ooh boy what a 5*****read, truly amazing story as this story was based on true life events your mote intrigued by the story that unfolds , I truly love this book and can’t wait for the sequel to it well done to this new author deserves the five stars I’ve given it
