Add Max to the Book Boyfriend Rooster!!!!! He is the type of man ever girl wishes to meet in college! Jennifer did an amazing job building up this "insta love" between Max and Irelynn, while the start of their relationship wasn't the best "meet-cute", it was perfect. It truly highlights the man Max is. I LOVED the back-and-forth banter between all the characters, it had me rolling in laughter several times.

This book does leave you on a cliffhanger that is going to leave you speechless....but have no worries..Book 2 is out: Riding the Aftershocks (Fractured Series Book 2) and the completion of the series Book 3 Casualty of Devotion (Fractured Series Book 3) is set to be released July 20, 2022.

I have had the Luxury to be a beta reader for this book .. and I can’t say to much because you need to go into this book blind in order to understand how amazing it is for a first book .. it has every thing you could ever need suspense love and everything in between .. This story. Gosh, I had no idea what I was in store for! Jennifer Rose, you my dear have found your calling! This is by far one of the best debut novels from a new author that I have ever read! And the ending! OMG! It had me frantically opening up book two so I could see where the story was going! Bravo! Bravo!

This is the debut book by this new and upcoming author. This book is part of a trilogy so you will get a epic cliffhanger with this book. Get ready to dive into a unique storyline of both the main characters of Max and Irelynn.
The main characters have tragic events that have taken place in their pasts and has left them a bit jaded to the ideas of a real relationship. With Irelynn you will get a sweet, sassy, fun loving, and feisty girl next door. She has struggled with a terrible experience from high school and has a past that seems to come back to haunt her once again. Max is a private guy who has lived through something so tragic and awful that it makes him stay away from relationships. He's a sweet, romantic, and dirty talking quintessential perfect boyfriend type though.
This story is unique by the way the author approaches both main characters pasts and the new threat to Irelynn’s safety. You will get glimpses of of William, who is a very obsessed and narcissistic character from Irelynn’s past. You can expect stalking, threatening, and physical altercations with this moral grey anti-herio character. There is a strong bond/instant connection between Max and Irelynn from their first encounter, which will have you want more of these two.
I loved the intensity and suspense that the author builds throughout the story and of course you can't have a romance without some extra steamy moments mixed in. You will get to see a lot of different sides to both main characters when they give in and cross the line to forge an unbreakable bond. There are amazing side characters that bring the light and fun moments but also that amazing friendship bonds.
I had the extreme pleasure to beta read this book and when I started I was hooked in by the premise of the story. But as I read each chapter I got a real sense of all these characters emotions and the storyline was addictive if you love angst and suspense. This is definitely the author's wheelhouse because she excelled at bring out so many emotions within this book. I will say the cliffhanger is extreme and will make you want to scream and possibly curse her name, but it is pivotal to the storyline and will have you wanting more that's for sure. I'm excited for more of these amazing characters and what else she will bring in the future also. Jennifer Rose, is a name you will want to be on the lookout for in the future and will be synonymous with angst and suspenseful stories. Highly recommend this book for anyone who likes a unique angsty/suspenseful story with heart and spicy hot moments mixed in. It's a Must Read with all the Feels.

I'm gonna be really honest and say that I was just not vibing with this book for probably the first half. It felt like there was needless repetition (telling a story with inner monolog and then telling it again to another character) and trying to oversell the instant chemistry between these two characters with their inner monolog over and over and over. 86 pages of 244 took place within the first 24 hours of the characters meeting and there was not enough actually happening for it to draw out that long.
With that out of the way, I will say that I'm glad I pushed through this one. This book gets progressively better the farther into it you get, both in the writing and things not being repeated. The characters can be incredibly frustrating at times, both keeping things to themselves they should just come out and say but don't. Then Irelynn does something overly dumb that made me want to throw the book. Girl, you should know better!
If you want spice, it's in here! You can look forward to give separate scenes of varying duration. I'll warn you that if the word 🐓 bothers you, you'll struggle, just to give you a heads up since tiktok has taught me people can hate it!
Towards the end there's a jump in the timeline of just over a month. I felt like hashing that out a bit more and removing some of the fluff and repetition from those first 88 pages would make a dramatic difference in this book. Also, beware the cliff hanger. It's a tough one and you'll want to dive into the next book to find out what happens right away!

It's very hard to believe this is the author's debut novel. She really has a way with words and knows how to make you want to continue the story and get invested in the H and h. I was warned that this was going to be a trilogy and it would end in a cliffhanger, so I usually wait until the series is done. But the author promised the wait for books 2 and 3 wouldn't be too long.
From the prologue, it already builds up a mystery of some kind of tragedy. Both of the main characters have a broken, trauma filled past. I don't want to say too much as I feel this is a book best to just go in blind. The couple is definitely worth rooting for and even though both have suffered pain in their pasts, they seem to bring about healing in each other. They also have 2 funny, amazing best friends as support. I recieved an advanced copy of this book to give my honest review of it. I cannot wait until the next book!

Wow, this is Jennifer Rose's debut novel? I am overly impressed by that fact! This book honestly had me immersed in the story from the very first paragraph of the prologue, and continued until the very last page! It was just so well-written, and the story was so well-thought-out. Very impressive!
Max's heartache was palpable. I fell in love with his gentleness, and he and Irelynn were absolutely perfect for one another! True soul mates! A semi-slow burn, but once the action started, the steam level was a 10 out of 10! I could practically feel the sparks coming off the pages! It also has a suspenseful story within the romance story, which always grabs my attention. I honestly loved everything about this story, and absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series! I highly recommend it with more than five stars!

Max and Irelynn meet in a way that no one wants to meet the love of their life. Max quickly becomes Irelynns hero because he was simply in the right place at the right time. Thank goodness!
These two are so cute I just love how their relationship grows, and how protective Max is.

Let me first say if you don’t like profanity, or sex scenes, this book isn’t for you. Also, this has physical abuse in it, so there is your trigger warning. Add in the cliffhanger, but the other books will be out soon.
Having said that.
Knock my socks off, what did I just read?? This is unbelievable that it is a debut novel. Jennifer Rose has a way with words that make this a turn pager for sure. Between the characters, the sex scenes, the ending..really the whole plot. You have a hard time putting this book down.
I am excited to see where this goes. To see how Jennifer develops the characters even more. And if the first book was that risqué, let me plan a date night with my husband before I start book two.

This is a MUST read. The emotions, love, chemistry, suspense, just everything about this story pulls you in. There were twists and turns and so many suspenseful amazing moments that I just wasn’t expecting that I couldn’t put the book down!
I don’t want to say too much & give away any spoilers but this book is absolutely incredible! I read every moment I could get! I can’t wait for the second book in this series!

Jennifer really knows what she’s doing! She hooked me in with the prologue, and I could not stop until I was finished! Max and Irelynn’s story will have you guessing, hoping, and swooning. The love between Irelynn and her best friend Vanessa is palpable. And the brotherhood between Max and his best friend Darin will make you crack up, tear up, and beg for more! Tremors of desire is not a standalone, but book one in a trilogy, and you’ll be BEGGING for books two and three by the end!

What a great start for Ms. Rose! I enjoyed this story and loved the characters. Irelynn and Max felt super relatable and always kept me wanting to know more. I felt their attraction and relationship progressed pretty realistically and I'm loving the spicy scenes. I read this book in literally a day, so it's not overly long but does end on a major cliffhanger. I'm not usually crazy about cliffhangers but I felt that this was well done, and I'm absolutely loving the suspense buildup for books 2 & 3!

What s magnificent book. Without causing spoilers this was a raw gut wrenching emotional story. Max and Irelynn have had their share of heartbreak. Their first meet was not under the best circumstances. A well written story that I highly recommend.

It’s Irelynn and Maxs and it’s an amazing story. It’s a great story with action suspense angst secrets friendships romance with a great storyline and the characters have wonderful chemistry. It kept my interest and wanting to know what happened next. It ends on a cliff hanger that leaves you wanting more.

Tremors of Desire by Jennifer Rose is a good, and enjoyable small town college age romantic suspense read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

What a read!! Debut novel for this amazing author. Max and Irelynn meet under the most unexpected circumstances but it was the best thing that could have happened to the both of them. The story of Max and Irelynn will sweep you up into memories of young love, the passion and lust you feel when you meet your person and it will leave you begging for more. I was hooked on their story immediately and was strangely captivated by their individual trauma and what has shaped them into who they are. This book is intriguing and quite steamy once they FINALLY realize there is a passion there that neither of them can deny. By the end of the book, I was left hanging...I need to know what happens! There is so much more to their story and I can't wait to dive into book two! Thank you for giving me a wonderful excuse to read in my hammock this week...onto the next!

This story of Max and Irelynn meeting is the story of a true hero that leaves you with more questions unanswered than not! They are two college students with troubled pasts whose paths cross at the perfect time, when neither one is looking or expects it. They quickly find that they are exactly what each other needs! Jennifer Rose does such a great job telling this story and setting up the series, leaving you begging for more! You will HAVE to read the whole series because you want to know more about where these characters are coming from!

How can we resist the old school chivalry and protective way Max treats Irelynn and goes above and beyond to show her she is special, and no harm with come to her even as a crazy stalker from her past keeps appearing. But throughout their story they are both hiding something big from their past. We get glimpses of their past stories but even as the reader I feel like there is more to each of their stories of the past, stories that we don't completely know all of.the details. I didn’t know what to expect from a blind read from a new author but when I tell you that she hits the wheelhouse of hooking and reeling you she really does. The details and emotions were so good. I love the strong bond you can sense from Max and Irelynn and see how much it truly strengths. The glimpses you get of the narcissistic obsessive stalker William brings you threatening, stalking, physical violence, and a morally dark villain. The heat, passion, and tension you can cut through is phenomenal and the smut is so so good. The side characters Darin and Vanessa especially Vanessa are great because Vanessa and Irelynn friendship reminds me of one of mine. The main characters are great don’t get me wrong but the side characters really help draw you in and keep the light-hearted. I am looking forward to start the second book and read the development to Max and Irelynns relationship. if you want a read that’s a suspenseful and down right hot well look no further.

for this story. First of all, Jennifer Rose you have found your calling here and i need more. An amazing debut novel from Jennifer Rose! I was captivated from the first page.
Learning about Irelynn’s and Max’s respective pasts in snippets kept me wanting more. I could feel the love that was growing between them. It even brought back nostalgia from my college days and when I met my husband!
That cliffhanger though! Hang on and try to enjoy the ride!

I am so glad I found Jennifer Rose as a new author!!! I f***ing loved this book, it is amazing and so addictive!!! Once I started this book I absolutely could not put it down and now I can’t wait to get the other two in my hands!!! This story between Irelynn and Max had me sucked in from the first chapter!!! This story had my emotions all over the place. The chemistry between them is amazing and I love their flirtatious banter. I also really loved Vanessa and Darin as the side characters. William on the other hand is just plain psychotic. But all of these characters together makes for a wonderful story. I loved the storyline and I am going to go nuts until I get the other two books in my hands and find out what happens. I need those other two books now please, lol!! I absolutely recommend this book!!!!

I might not have started with this series before reading Jennifer's Fated Vengeance series, but even still knowing what happens/takes places after this series, this book was amazing. I absolutely loved getting to know Max and Irelynn more and still feeling the pit in my stomach with William. The instant connection that Max and Irelynn have and his protectiveness for her is so *swoon*. This book had the spice and it was perfect, not over or under done. The emotions jumping out of the pages. The ending still left my stomach in knots needing to jump right into book 2!

Oh my gosh, can't heart this story enough. It pulls all the heartstrings and has your attention through the whole story, cheering for out hero and heroine. Anxiously waiting for another journey in the Fractures Series.

One of the very best debut books I have ever read. It does leave on a huge omg cliffhanger. It checks all the boxes with a whole lot of angst, heat, suspense, and edge of your seat nail biting as to what is to come next. Truly a gifted new author.
