This was a fine ending to what was an epic journey for Sophia Beaufont and her Dragon, Lunis.
As usual, she spent half of her time doing tasks, that resulted in the help she needed to get other tasks done and, on the way, she tightened the bonds of love and friendship with all of the people she knew - sometimes even ones not do keen on to that kind of closeness!
The final fight to free the Rogue Dragons from their evil Leader was really cool, and I just loved what Sophia had to do to get there in the first place.
All along the story in this last book, I was aware that it was the final one - well, the final one focused on Sophia, anyway as, in the last book's Author's Notes, Sarah assured us faithful readers that Sophia and Lunis will have a place within the next series - and I'm very much looking forwards to that one, now I know a bit more about it!
The final scenes in this book soothed my romantic heart, I must admit, and it was a wonderful place to end this series.
So, now I'm going on to the next series, which is: The Inscrutable Paris Beaufont, and book one of this new series is: The Unexpected Fairy Godmother..
I'm really happy that I'm actually going to start this story at a reasonable time, for me, so that I can really get into the story before sleep catches me up. So, I'll.go on, now, and I'll see you on the flip side, when I can let you know what I think of this new series!
The emotional rollercoaster of this series is enough to keep an adult enthralled. The characters are relatable, witty, and have just the right amount of snark. Lunis offering his brand of comic relief to keep Sofia sane when the stress of her world bore down on her offered a beautiful insight into the love and friendship that defined their relationship. It was great to see the return of characters from the Liz series, especially King Rudolph. I could not get enough of Cat and Lee. My only criticism of the entire series was it stopped at 24. 😊 I wanted to know what happened next to Lunis and Sophia. The issues and resolutions as leader of the Rogue Riders while also seeing as second in the elite. All I can say is more please. 🥺
It has taken me a while to complete this Series, I seem to alternate between genres when on a reading kick, which is now daily since Retirement. I’m glad and sad that Sophia has moved on and anxious to see how that works out for her, hopefully Sarah will delve into that someday.
