Allegiance by Gail Haris is a standalone of The Salvation Society world by Corinne Michaels.
I'm totally new to this world but I know now that I definitely need to catch up with it.
Allegiance is THE WONDERFUL love story of Luci and Wade!
OH MY GOODNESS! ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS AT ITS BEST!
They're absolutely like cats and dogs and... well... their first encounter wasn't like love at first sight.
Wade is an ex-military guy and still has to deal with heavy stuff from the past. So when he has to be Luci's bodyguard... let's say both aren't that happy about it.
This combination is explosive!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!
I CAN'T SAY IT OFTEN ENOUGH AND I WON'T STOP WITH THE CAPITALS! 😍😍😍😍

Allegiance is a standalone story in the Salvation Society World. Luci and Wade have both been burned by love in the past so it is extremely hard for them both to trust. You get a bodyguard/ Enemies to lovers romance with all the feels, witty banter and sexy chemistry. It's a fast paced book you won't be able to put down. 4 1/2 stars!

I loved this novel so much. The romance and heartbreak were EXTREMELY present throughout, but I’m so happy that the happy ending I wanted- came to be. A lot of extremes were brought up in this novel- drunk driving, death, military experiences, cheating, and much more. I definitely appreciated the bodyguard victim style trope. I loved this authors writing style and the way that the storyline played out. Definitely recommend this novel!

Such an amazing story.
Wade and Luci have both been hurt and find it hard to trust others, but when he is placed as her bodyguard things get heated quickly. Can they work through their past heartache or will they crash and burn. Read this amazing story to find out. I loved it so much.

4.5 stars for me!
Ahh what a ride! Gail you will always be one of my favorite authors. Your writing style is so fun! I enjoyed the suspense and bodyguard romance. Definitely a trope I need to look into more. Once I started this book, I got so lost in their world I couldn’t stop. Lucí and Wade were such a great, fun couple. I couldn’t get enough of their sexually charged back and forth banter and wit. Their chemistry was strong and I enjoyed every minute of this book.

Wade and Luci are unique but they complement each other quite well. Their silly antics and funny banter make you guessing what will come out of their mouths next. They always know the exact words to catch the other off guard.
The only thing with Wade and Luci is their quirky personalities. Luci’s mind drive a hundred miles a minute and then when you think she is on the straight and narrow, she cranks the wheel and you are drifting around a bend.
Wade wants to enjoy himself but doesn’t think he deserves it. You can feel the give and take and moments he slips up which made me smile. You either love these two or will shake your head at them. I for one, loved them!

Luci is freaking adorable I mean who becomes a professional bridesmaid? I never heard of that before and then I think of the movie 27 dresses where she is always a bridesmaid. Luci is just totally fun to read and her personality and aura just make you feel at peace. However, she's about to get more than she bargained for when someone tries to get her. Now the one man she doesn't want to see is her bodyguard. Wade would rather throttle Luci than watch her. Not only does she do something to him, but her mouth is out of control. He wants to tame her but knows he can't go there. Now, these two are thrown together on a farm where Wade knows he can keep her safe. But it is safe from the people who are after her or from him? Find out if they get out of this alive or if Wade ends up throttling Luci.

Wade is still trying to heal from his past both personally and professionally when he is recruited by Cole Security to keep Luci safe. It wouldn’t be such a problem is she wasn’t so infuriating, and she wasn’t the first woman to make him feel in quite a while.
Luci is fun, feisty and exactly what Wade needs in his life. Living in his family home and pretending to be in a relationship is starting to feel very real and as the chemistry escalates between them so does the danger.

We have yet another addition to the Salvation Society Novels and let me tell you it’s a good one. I was new to the author so as unsure of what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised by how funny and witty it was. Lucí is my spirit animal for sure and Wade sure he seemed grumpy at times but he had his reasoning for it. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to looking into more books by this author.

You can always count on Gail Haris’ books to have two things: humour and spice, and Allegiance brought all that. The chemistry between Wade and Luci was quite cute and of course really humorous in the beginning. Underlying it, there’s some serious topics, which was covered and handled quite appropriately, I must say. Overall, a cute and quick read that served as a comfortable weekend read.

Love and action. Jersey life is in danger, country swore to protect her. Both over coming heartache time will tell if they came over come and not let the past get in the way of there future.

I can't help but fall in love with everything Gail Haris writes, literally! And this book was no exception.
I pretty much read this book in one sitting! The suspense throughout the book kept me hooked the entire time; there was also drama, humor, emotions, and intrigue. This enemies-to-lovers was a very entertaining read.
Wade & Luci both haven't had the best experience in the past, but there was nothing more comforting than seeing them find the one in each other. Wade & Luci are perfect together! I enjoyed reading about their journey throughout the book, the chemistry between them, and how things turn out for them.

A small town military guy who has to protect a big city girl. The attraction is instant between them, but they fight it at the beginning. When they’re forced to be in the same room at his parents house, they give into temptation and it’s sweet bliss for them.
I really enjoyed the suspense that was given throughout the book, even though parts seemed were unrealistic, it kept me intrigued. I like more believability in the books I read although if you enjoy pure fiction, you’ll appreciate this Salvation Society story to read.

Gail Harris has done it again with Allegiance. I loved this story. I fell in love with the characters so much especially Luci and Wade. After what these two have been through they're more than deserving of having the kind of love that stays through thick and thin. These two could not be any more perfect for each other. It's one of those tough on the outside sweet on the inside type of swoon-worthy, fall head over heels in a love story.

Fantastic!!
I absolutely loved Luci and Wade. Such a hilarious couple. Luci's antics and personality was the best. Loved how strong willed she was. Wade was the best, he tried everything to keep a handle on Luci but no go he also tried to keep his heart in line but also no go. This storyline was fantastic, the ending was phenomenal. I loved it and definitely recommend it.

This is Wade and Luci’s journey. These characters have been hurt in the past which has left them with trust issues. Wade is ex-military and is sexy, grumpy, and works for Cole Security Forces. Luci is in need of a bodyguard and Wade is assigned to the task, and these two butt heads continually. This is a well written fast paced story, which is an amazing enemies / lovers’ story, with palpable chemistry, humor, witty banter, drama, suspense, intrigue, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page tuner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Gail Harris is a new author to me, I was really excited to pick up one of her books! As soon as I met the characters and learned their past I was immediately intrigued!
Man, I was laughing at how their paths crossed. “We need it to look like we are have sex” 😂 so awkwarddd!
The plot was great, I was anxious to watch it all play out. I was a little disappointed with the redemption of that one character… even though it was kinda ironic how it happened!
The epilogue was cute, I don’t always enjoy those for their over the top corniness lol lol I liked it though!
Overall, I enjoyed this author’s story in the Salvation Society world!

Oh. My. Word. This was INCREDIBLE!! I finished it in a day or two (but low-key forgot to leave a review 🙈). Wade and Luci's story was definitely a rollercoaster, but I enjoyed every bit of it. It kept me on my toes, and I just HAD to keep reading to find out what happened next. I love, love, LOVED all of the sass, steam, and suspense. If you get a chance to read it, dive right in. I promise you won't regret it. 😉
