Untraceable Succubus #4

Jumbled Positions

Rate this book
Being the boss is never easy no matter the support system you have in place. Being the boss when people’s lives are on the line is not something even superheroes can do without a break. Especially when they’re your people.
But Jasmine Stewart has.
Everyone is worried and scared about what comes next since the news of the demons organizing went public. She’s at the center of several targets, and the people in her life aren’t happy about the risks she’s taking.
And that was before her life blew up in her face. She’s not ready, but she can no longer keep the secrets that she has from the men in her life. If she wanted to scare them away, this would be the easiest path. But after a life of pushing people away, Jasmine realizes that for once, she might want some of them to stay.
Except not all of them will.

Untraceable Succubus is a crime series where the sex is hot and often and the main character kicks some serious ass on the road to finding out if she can have real love in her life even if it comes from multiple men.

love the series in general

I’m not that big on writing reviews lately but I want Erin to know how much I like this series and her as a story teller overall.

I’m in a group or follow a page of hers so I’m pretty dedicated to updates and sometimes we learn a bit about Erin. I def see a trend in the series that I read, I keep up to date and even reread this one, Artemis, and house of Gardner. I’ve tried and own a few others too. But love those three.

I think these characters all suffer from the same issues and problems and that can be hard to keep reading about. This book was highly anticipated by me but I wanted a bit different than what we got.

It wasn’t really hard to guess what the characters would do, good or bad. Love interest or jasmine. If you’ve read any of the other three, you know the formula. The men will disappoint, she will break, there will be good friends, and enemies will enemy (used as a verb)

All that being said, I absolutely love Erin’s mind even if it doesn’t sound like it now, her worlds are huge and well thought out. It’s amazing to me the details, and how different they are, the rules and species in each one.

But I will say the characters in them are the same when it comes to reactions to things. That’s my only gripe, otherwise they all have different personalities and don’t really remind me of each other.

All in all if you’re here, you probably like Erin’s brain too, even if I’m not sure the editor isn’t just a really good friend.

I’m going to keep reading and buying as long as she keeps writing. She’s only one of two authors like that for me and the other passed on

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: Untraceable Succubus Series by Erin R. Flynn

I absolutely loved Jasmine’s story (so far)! This series was such a fun, engaging read - it gave me the same addictive vibes as the Morrigan University series (seriously, read both if you haven’t already).

Between Sera and Jasmine, I’ve got to say, Jasmine wins hands down. She feels like a more well-rounded character, and her guys treat her so much better - plus, she doesn’t take crap from anyone. Total win. I just wish we got to see her badass side a little more often and maybe give the fellas some extra page time. Still, I adore her.

Now, can we talk about Mason, Evan, and Owen? Absolute favorites. Can we please have a series where the FMC actually gets treated right by at least a few of her men? Don’t make them all turn awful later - there are good men out there! These three even adopted a puppy together, and honestly, you can’t break up a happy puppy family, Erin. Mudbug deserves this. These three stay, or I ride at dawn.

Aiden - though… still on the fence. The tracker thing is a major red flag, and everything that went down at the Berlin club and with the Vampire Council just gives me the ick. Can we maybe swap his creepy ancient vampire energy for Tristan? He and Sera are done anyway, and he’s out traveling the world… just saying.

Dylan - I’d love to smack some sense into him (but keep the spicy scenes, those were chef’s kiss). He’s just too pushy. So much Lion-Tiger-Bear energy, oh my! Speaking of Lions… didn’t Phil have that special “reaction moment” with Jasmine? Hint hint, nudge nudge. I like Phil. Team Phil all the way.

Bain - He feels a bit too immature for Jasmine right now. Maybe with time he’ll grow into himself, but at the moment, he reads more like a friend than a romantic match.

And that connection with David? I need more! Maybe not instant baby-making levels, but something deeper - a dream sequence with the elves, perhaps? (That might be a safe way to avoid the instant baby situation, LMFAO.)

Lastly, Elijah - a.k.a. Demon Daddy - deserves a bonus scene. Maybe one where he, uh, “taps the bestie”? Who said that? Marlon Brando?

Bottom line: I need more Jasmine stories ASAP. She’s officially my second-favorite FMC in all of Flynn’s books. Also just saw that book 5 is about to drop for Morrigan university too this week - ahhh so excited!!

So Many Secrets Revealed

I’d probably give this book 4. 5 ⭐️ if I could.

This is the fourth book in a continuing series and you need to read the preceding books to understand this one. The book doesn’t ‘technically’ end on a cliffhanger but there is so much to resolve in future books it just feels like one.

After the Demon Council came out of the closet in the previous book there has been a lot of manoeuvring on the part of the other supernatural councils, who still want to keep the demons down out of fear of their strength. They know one on one a demon is more powerful than another supernatural so the only way to keep them under their control is to prevent them from organising as isolation is the only thing keeping them vulnerable.

This book doesn’t really cover much of the crime solving part of Jasmine’s life, it’s all about the political situation and her relationships. We also learn a lot about Jasmine’s history and the secrets she’s been keeping. There are A LOT, and they are BIG! The way the men in her life handle these secrets isn’t surprising, in that they al react differently. That some react poorly means that Jasmine has additional pressure put on her relatively young shoulders. Jasmine is trying her best to work at having any kind of relationship for the first time in her life and it isn’t exactly going smoothly.

This book was quite angsty in places, which is no surprise for this author and if you’ve read the rest of the series you are probably expecting it. There is quite a lot of darkness in the supernatural world and Jasmine has seen a lot of it and fought to come out the other side. She struggles emotionally in this book and her mental health is suffering as a result of all she is facing alongside unresolved issues from her past.

The story is absorbing, as always, and I loved learning more about the history of the supernaturals during the course of this book. I really want to know what happens next as so much is unresolved, but I know it will be a while before this series is revisited because the author is focusing on other series right now. I can’t really complain because I really want those other books too!

I cannot get enough of Erin r Flynn's books

There is always SOOO much going on So that I never want to skip a boring chapter. There are no boring chapters. There is a lot of sexy, A lot of food and eating, A lot of fighting and a lot of emotions. If this were real life, most of her lead female characters would be on mood balancing medication. Lol. I love that there is none of those angsty'ish drawn out plot struggles. As soon as u learn there's a problem, she's handled it. I don't have to read about how long someone was tortured, all they went through or read pages of awfulness. The lead FC handles it and not easily. She's almost brutal. I love that. I've read each of her 'series' books at least twice each and since there is always so much going on, I'm always entertained.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series thus far and am excited to see where it goes. However, this particular book was my least favorite. About 1/4 of the way into it it felt like a huge information dump as we tried to finally learn all that Jasmine’s been keeping in. The way that it was all explained was a bit much to keep up with for me. I grasped enough to get the gist of it, but felt like I couldn’t keep up with some of the finer details. I also struggled with this one because I like my books to have more “happy” in them. I like to feel good at the end. This one left me frustrated for Jasmine with all that’s going on. Pretty sure the resolution I’m looking for is coming, but since the next book isn’t out yet I’m left feeling frustrated.

Addictive!

I'll try not to include any spoilers but omg I can't even process what I've read! I totally binged this series and cannot wait for the next instalment! Jasmine has had to go through a lot in this book making tough decisions with some being life altering. With demons being out there's more pressure from all the other councils and shit hits the fan as it does in politics. However if that wasn't bad enough Jasmine's personal life has also taken a huge hit. The blurb mentions that some don't make the cut and I genuinely cannot be more disappointed in how some have reacted and treated her! Looking forward to the next instalment :)

Love!!!

I this character and this world. Especially, as we get to see more behind the curtain. I liked getting to know a little more about the people she works with. And how awesome she truly is!
What I don't like are the men in her life. I'm trying, but I just don't really want her with any of them. I don't hate them... But I'm not rooting for them either 😕.
As always I did love Erin's work. Her characters have depth and layers. They feel real. Can't wait for the next adventure!

spoilers ahead

This book has a different tone than previous books, none of the dancing and stripping from the previous books because this book is all about jasmine/Angela/Sloan/caras depression and focuses more on her relationships with everyone. I’m hoping the next book is a bit more playful and has less upset but as someone who reads all of Erin’s books it could go either way depending on her muse

finally another in this great series

This series is the one that started it all for me with this author. I have voraciously read everything she puts out and impatiently wait for the next in all her series. If you love kick ass demons who are sarcastic and hot hot supes this is an excellent series for the genre. Lots of kick butt action by the FMC and angst from her men. I highly recommend anything from this author. Run don’t walk to get her books.

So good!!

I have been needing a Jasmine fix and this definitely rocked me. I love that we got to learn more about who she is and where she came from. I love seeing where her different relationships are going. Jasmine is such a BA and makes me want to dive right into her world. I downloaded this book today I could not put it down!! As with most of Erin's works, it will be in my reread pile!!!

Another Addictive series

Another riveting book in this series about the snarky, badass Angela/Jasmine, as she finds out more about her history, how to navigate her newly formed relationships, all while steering her company and the Demon council through rocky waters, oh and catch a murderer! Easy right! As always I have both laughed and cried through this book, Please keep writing, because I’ll keep reading all your series!

chaos

This was an overload of information. Okay so far this series has many things going on. It is so chaotic some of the time that it is hard to keep up. I get why she has an issue with everything going on. I don’t understand the guys in this book. I feel the relationship is so new to have these type of problems. They all seem co-dependent at times and I’m so unbelievably disappointed about that.

I do like this story and the characters are intense and incredible. I am intrigued with what will happen next.

Wow so many things here feel like you shouldn’t have to explain them! but they happen just like that nevertheless, and then the insulting party is off, righteously sulking without realising they’re the real problem. Sounds so familiar. No one should have to explain this shit when it could be easily comprehend by common sense, but people always prefer to do the dump thing and then whine when it blows up in their face. I would kick Dylan to the curb for good.

intense

There was a lot of heavy emotional stuff in this book. It also has the first ending that felt like a cliffhanger. I’m glad that the next book was available before I started the series and I’m absolutely going to read it.
Some of the editing errors, especially near the beginning of the book were very distracting. They are mostly extremely awkward sentences with what seems like missing words.

A New Update After A Break Away

I had to re-read the first three of this series before the new one, it's been a bit of a wait since the last. Still I think the series has promise. I'd like more of her relations with the other VPs or demons in general if Erin if looking for ideas... ,

Wow!

Couldn't put it down. I purchased this as soon as I found out Erin had released another book, as has become standard practice for all books by Erin. I then reread the first 3 books, enjoying them again, and luckily started this book when I had time to sit and relax because I devoured the book in one go. Now I'm just disappointed I don't have the next book to start.

Thank you!

This book was great. The reality of Jasmine's emotional roller coaster was concerning. I wondered how much pressure would on her and I didn't know how it could be resolved. However I kept faith in Ms. Flynn's genius and was reassured by the very good storyline. Please keep writing, pretty much every series is great, but I'm curious about Inez.

Great Read!!

Loved the focus on Jasmine more than her relationships. It was great to see more if her support system and find out more about the demons history and Jasmines. Would like to see a little more settled in her romantic relationships. I am team Dylan so please fix that mess.

I love everything Erin Flynn

This is another great series. I love the way her FMCS are always trying to do and be better while making the world a better place too is the goal. Her world building and the research she puts into her series is amazing. I can’t wait to read the next book in any of her series.

What a cliff hanger

I absolutley adore this series! But oh my goodness I need to know what happens next! Like I'm so mad at Dylan right now and honestly I'm wanting Jasmine to kick his arse (or Mason). I am just in love with this story and just need more please!

Ive been anticipating this one

I thought this series had stopped and the writer had decided to focus on other books instead of this one. I’m really glad, eventhough it’s been a while that this series continued, it’s really good

Fantastic, so thankful the series is continuing.

So many explanations in this book. A few I had thought possible from the previous books but others were a complete surprise but made sense with the story. Looking forward to more of this series.

Jumbled Positions is a fantastic book four in the Untraceable Succubus series. I absolutely want more books in this series and I hope to see the main character knock around some of those boys of hers until they see sense.

Unfinished series

Writer hasn't added to this series for five years. Not sure why...but after all this time she probably won't be. Might not want to start the series at all. She left two many uncut storylines for this book to be an actual finale.

unexpected series

This series really was unexpected in how good it is. Erin really does so well with characters and how perfectly messed up everyone is. She captures the struggles of life while spinning a great story.
