It's not fun to be the twin brother of the most beautiful woman in the world. Lysandros, junior Prince of Chaldis, could tell you that much. It's even less fun when an arrogant warrior comes seeking Phoibe's hand and decides to cozy up to him to get it.
But what happens when Niketas turns out to be a suspiciously more-than-alright fella who grows on him like mold? That's probably an appropriate time to stop talking about fun and start shaking his fist at the gods, because what else can you do in the face of fate and glory?
If you like sunny stories, semi-accurate Greek mythology rehashed beyond all hope, or characters desperately trying to comprehend one another, this is the novella for you!
Love love loved it. Imagine a softer version of Song of Achilles and that'd be this book. I loved the characters, the plot, and the world. It left me feeling warm and fuzzy throughout; the type of feeling that makes you want to reread it right after you finished it. A quick, sweet story to read on a summer evening that leaves you in love with love.
This book was NOT for me! There are not any red flags in the summary, but the whole time you think this guy is trying to impress his sister and he ends up in love with another man 😡 I wish the author made this more evident in the description of the book! So I ended up being the fantasy edition of brokeback mountain
