Pack your bags we are headed back to Saddle Creek for a visit with those hunky Crawford men. This is Quinn's story. He is the eldest of the brothers and maybe the most stubborn. He is watching everyone around him fall in love but when is it he time.
Amber is a young sassy woman that has been on her own since a teen, she is now waitressing at a local diner and has more than her share of rowdy rude customers. It is all coming to a halt as Quinn steps in to protect her honor and all of sudden she might have a new job.
Quinn is not sure what came over him, but this young pretty gal just brought out the most protective side of him. Now it appears he may have a new housekeeper/cook living under his roof. This is about to get interesting ! This is sweet, sexy, fun age gap romance with a check in with all the characters that we have fallen in love with!

I loved this age gap romance in the Crawfords series! This family is a riot and their stories are all interconnected and keep me jumping from one to the next.

She likes him and tries her best to seduce him, but he thinks she's way too young for him, but eventually gives in. THE END

Still an enjoyable read, but these specific tropes didn't work as well as others. The pet name Quinn gives Amber (Angel Baby) was pretty cringe.

I absolutely love it!! Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Quinn meets Amber when he meets his buddy Blake at a food joint outside of Saddle Creek. He notices others getting handy with her and he wants to put a stop to it. His friend Blake suggest to him that he hire her to be his housekeeper and cook. He doesn’t know how he’d be able to keep his hands off her if he hired her. Blake, Quinn and Amber talk until she notices her boss glaring at her. She tells them she needs to get back to work. When her boss yells at her, Quinn losses it. He grabs her boss and tells him to do his job. They leave together. A month into working at the Little C Ranch and neither one of them has made a move on each other. Birdie, Harrison’s wife comes in and talks to Amber. She tells her they are going out of town for a week. Birdie tells her to seduce him but Amber’s not sure how. So Birdie suggests some books for there to read. Harrison and Quinn mend the fences and he has a talk to Quinn about his attraction to Amber. He tells Quinn just to marry Amber everyone can see how he feels about her. Quinn’s problem is he thinks Amber is to young for him. Amber puts on a sexy outfit and goes to finish dinner. Quinn comes in and takes a shower. He asks her what is she wearing. She tells him she made his favorite tonight. She made his mama’s pecan pie and sets a piece in front of him. She forks him up a piece and he opens for it. She then pushes the table back and slides into his lap. He asks her what is she doing. She tells him she knows he wants her. They begin to kiss as he pulls her clothes off of her. She tells him she wants him. The doorbell rings and he tells her that this was a mistake that will never happen again. Quinn answers the door, it’s a woman who is trying to persuade Quinn but he wants nothing to do with her. She has a casserole for him, Amber takes it. She tells hims she is going outside for a bit. Amber goes outside and tries not to cry. The woman’s son comes and finds Amber. He tries to hit on her but Amber puts him in his place. She punches him in the nose. They hear the commotion inside and rush out. Amber tells the woman her son needs to learn some respect. She text Birdie that nothing happened. Quinn stays outside as long as he can, he doesn’t want to face Amber. Monroe calls Quinn and has a talk with him. He takes the night to think about Amber. When he comes in in the morning she is in the shower. He undress and goes to her. He steps in the shower and tells her he has a question for her. She goes to her knees as his demands and pleasures him. Quinn carries her to his bed and sets her down on it then he pleasures her. Then they get physical with nothing between them. Quinn gets up the next day and decides he wants to marry Amber right away. When he goes into the kitchen Madison is there and scares him. She tells him it’ll take three day for them to get married. Before Amber gets up she gets a 9-1-1 call from Callie, Rory needs help. So Amber rushes over to her house and leave Quinn a note. Amber finds Rory throwing up, so she tries to get her something to settle her stomach. Quinn and Madison show up, he thought she was leaving him. Rory tells Amber she is pregnant and it’s a Crawford baby. Madison tells Quinn to take Amber home she will take care of Rory. They just want to know who the father is Hayes or Johnny. They leave Rory’s house and Quinn pulls her aside and asks her to marry him. He gives her his mama’s ring. She tells him she will marry him. One year later, Quinn surprises Amber with two little kittens. She is seven months pregnant. She is surrounded by the surrogate sister and brothers she never had and loves it.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
3.75/5 stars (Because I didn’t like something Quinn did sexually.)
Quinn is struck literally mute by the beautiful Amber when he sees her at a dive bar. He rescues her from her scuzy boss who fails to protect her from handsy patrons. He takes her home as his new cook/housekeeper.
For a month Amber has been waiting for him to make a move. But Quinn has it in his head that he is to old for her, he’s 31, she’s 19. She has been alone for a while after her granny died and is very responsible and mature. Even though he needs a wife to fulfill his grandfather’s inheritance clause he can’t think about Amber. She needs someone closer to her own age to be with her. He knows of the divorcé in town who is hot for him but can’t picture her because he really wants Amber.
A little girl talk with Birdie, Harrison’s wife from, Lone Star Husband, helps her with ideas to seduce Quinn.
The first idea of dressing very suggestively starts out well until they are interrupted by the divorcé and her teenage son. Upset Amber leaves the house to get away from them and has her teen son grope her, she hits him breaking his nose. She texts Birdie and tells her of the epic fail. Birdie suggests waiting naked in his bed. She does, he comes in sees her, jerks off to her laying there naked and leaves.
Thankfully one of his brothers calls and talks some sense into him. The next day he decides he’s done with running and is going to claim his woman. He finds her in the shower and things get sexy. I liked Quinn up till now, here’s where I didn’t like his request for her get on her knees, maybe it was supposed to be sexy but it left me with a bad taste. He gets in the shower with her and says:
“You’ve made me hurt, I’m so fucking hard for you. Now you have to pay the price.”
Ah, no dickhead, you made yourself hurt, this woman served her self up to you. Not once but twice and you turned her down. Instead of worshipping her he makes her suck him off, of course Amber finds it totally hot and sucks him dry. 🙄 He takes her to his room and orally pleasures her and then takes her virginity. He’s been celibate a long time.
He redeems himself when after waking the next morning his immediate thought is to marry her. His sister comes over and they talk about the wedding, the talk gets interrupted when Amber leaves to take care of a friend. The friend is Rory who gets a book with one of the other brothers.
He proposes and an epilogue one year later with her pregnant and the whole family there when Quinn gives her two little kittens. She’s so happy to have a crazy, loud, and loving family now.

4 1/2 stars!
I do NOT consider these to be STAND-ALONE reads. It contains multiple reoccurring characters and an overarching theme. The series features the Crawford siblings that find out about a caveat in the family patriarch’s will that could cause them to lose their birthright if not fulfilled. This caveat requires each of the siblings to be married. Yikes!
** If you have not read the story, the following may contain spoilers. **
I love how Kat Baxter includes good main character descriptions, but as always, I want and need more from those supporting. It is helpful for those that reoccur here and there throughout the series, and even more so, when they go on to be a H/h in a different story.
The story has a solid storyline / plot, a nice pace, and a well developed universe. There are a few scenes that are LOL hilarious, especially when Quinn first sees Amber in the bar and grill. I seriously had to highlight a couple of passages so I can reference them later when I need a good laugh again.
I mentioned the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical issues. These include missing words, extra inserted words, incorrect punctuation and incorrect word choice. There were a couple of passages that I highlighted because they could be correct as written, or need editing, dependent upon Kat’s intent. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

I love how Kat Baxter includes good main character descriptions, but as always, I want and need more from those supporting. It is helpful for those that reoccur here and there throughout the series, and even more so, when they go on to be a H/h in a different story.
The story has a solid storyline / plot, a nice pace, and a well developed universe. There are a few scenes that are LOL hilarious, especially when Quinn first sees Amber in the bar and grill. I seriously had to highlight a couple of passages so I can reference them later when I need a good laugh again.
I mentioned the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical issues. These include missing words, extra inserted words, incorrect punctuation and incorrect word choice. There were a couple of passages that I highlighted because they could be correct as written, or need editing, dependent upon Kat’s intent. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

Gotta love these Crawfords and their quests for marital bliss (all in the name of fulfilling the terms of their grandads will). This is Quinn's turn at finding love. This is instalove at its finest with a twist of denial and age gap deliciousness. Quinn is used to being the responsible protector of the family and so when he is struck with a bolt of instalove when meeting Amber at the restaurant she works at, he is deeply in denial about his feelings due to the 12 year age gap. But as all romance readers know, there is nothing that instalove cannot overcome.
Amber is a tough little cookie having been living independently for several years. She is mature and able to defend herself. But when she finds herself out of job she is happy to take on a new role as the Crawford's housekeeper. And when she sets her sights on Quinn she'll use all the best seduction tricks she can learn from a romance novel to win him over.
This is a gorgeous quick read novella. I love a heated instalove story and these two are a perfect love story once Quinn gives in to his attraction.

Quinn feels things for Amber the moment he lays eyes on her. He feels electricity between them the moment her eyes meet his from across the room.
He also feels absolutely possessive immediately as well and finds himself offering her a job when he finds out that not only do the customers keep getting handsy with her, but that her boss also has made passes at her.
Amber agrees to be Quinn's cook and housekeeper after he ends up getting her fired.😅 How long will it take for these two to give into their desires?
This novella was really cute! It's an age gap, and one that I normally cringe at, but with the couple exceptions of them mentioning the age gap, it's not brought up enough for me to have noticed or cared. They definitely didn't feel like there was a big age gap between them.
Anyway, if you liked reading Roe and Harrison's novellas, take a peak at Quinn's. I'm excited for the next one to come out, I can't wait to read both Johnny's and Hayes stories. 😍💕

This was a quick, fun age gap read! Quinn is much older than Amber and wants to keep their relationship professional while offering her a safe work environment. We quickly see their connection and so does everyone around them, but he is determined not to cave. She tries and tries to get him to see her as more which was a little bit of a turn off at how much she had to throw herself at him, but when his walls dropped..they dropped. He is all in for her and wants everything with her. I feel like this was set up really well pre-conflict, but the conflict was short and rushed while adding another chapter or half a chapter would have given it more depth. I do understand with it being a novella that it will be faster paced, but I feel like the first half was well paced and the back half not as much. Overall a fun read and I'm excited for the other family members to get their stories!

This is book number 3 of the Saddle Creek, TX: The Crawfords series and focuses on Quinn and Amber. Quinn is one of 6 Crawford siblings who has to get married ASAP to save their family ranch thanks to his grandfather. While out in another town discussing his predicament with a friend, he meets Amber. She is a waitress at the bar he is at and he feels instantly connected to her even though she is young. When other customers get handsy with her, he ends up stepping up and defending her. This ends with Amber being the new housekeeper for Quinn. Quinn wanted Amber from the first minute he saw her but he keeps her at arms length because he feels that he is too old for her. Amber is all in with Quinn and makes the moves to break Quinn once and for all. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

Book 3 of The Crawfords series. Quinn has been taking care of his family since his parents died and now his grandfather’s will states that each family member must be married before they inherit the family ranch. Quinn has felt a pull towards Amber since he saw her working in the diner but their difference in age has him holding back. Amber feels the chemistry between herself and Quinn but doesn’t understand why he hasn’t acted on it. It’s time to take matters into her own hands and show him how wonderful things would be between them. This was another great read in this series. Amber is an old sole and feels the connection between herself and Quinn, even with his grumpy attitude. Quinn felt the sparks between himself and Amber from the start and finally realizes age doesn’t matter and she’s the one for him. Can’t wait to see who Rory’s HEA is. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Crawford family is something special. I’ve adored every Crawford I’ve met and the rest are a hoot.
This time the boss (aka oldest brother, Quinn) falls hard for a young woman who ends up as his housekeeper. Quinn is particularly stubborn when it comes to giving into his feelings for Amber due to the age gap. Hilarity ensues as Amber does her virgin-best to seduce her boss. Eventually the man gives in and the wait is worth it! The $exy times are H-O-T and Quinn lives up to his bossy, alpha self. Let’s just say, Quinn may want to be gentle or go easy for Amber’s first experience, but he just can’t. 😅😅😅Whew!
These two are lovely together and I enjoyed this story very much.

Finding love is the best

I enjoyed Quinn and Amber’s instalove, boss-employee, age gap romance. This is just a happy fairly low angst book. Amber is working at an out of town bar where Quinn is meeting his lawyer. The chemistry and attraction is instant and strong between the two but Quinn believes she’s too young and he needs a wife. Quinn offers Amber a job as his cook and housekeeper to protect her from handsy bar patrons. Getting Quinn to act on the attraction will take some effort but an HEA is worth it. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends and families, and love. Despite being short, the story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. 3.5 stars.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. That being said, I enjoyed reading this book so much. I was able to read it in one sitting and devour it. That’s how Kat Baxter’s books are - you cannot get enough of them.

This series is just the gift that keeps on giving. Each story is different but they all have the same feel to them. This was a fantastic age gap romance. Quinn and Amber had both fantastic banter going on and amazing and steamy chemistry. I loved how the romance played out and that Quinn didn’t just marry because he had to. Each of the stories have left me with a bit of a void that only getting the next story can fill so I dread the end of the series but then again I loved how interconnected Kat Baxter’s stories are so maybe the end of this series doesn’t mean the end of stories from Saddle Creek.

A sexy, age gap romance with a serious and protective cowboy and an independent, spitfire of a young woman. Set in Kat Baxter’s wonderful Saddle Creek, TX: The Crawfords series, this instalove story is a fun, spicy read about the Crawford family’s oldest sibling, Quinn. A fast paced insta love story. This book in about Quinn the oldest Crawford brother who falls fast for Amber, a waitress he meets while out with his friends. He comes to her rescue when one of the customers tries to get handsy with her. Her boss is no better. He is always leering at her and making rude comments. Amber's boss fires her on the spot when she (in her boss's opinion) is taking long getting Quinn's order and answering his questions. Quinn offers he a job as a cook and housekeeper at the ranch he runs with his brothers. Quinn is attracted to Amber but keeps his distance at first. Soon Amber is the one pursuing Quinn and letting him know that she is interested in him. This s a wonderful story and I love the HEA. I can not wait to find out what happens to the remaining single Crawford brothers.

I love the boys of Saddle Creek Texas, especially when they lose their ever loving minds for the woman of their dreams!
Quinn is filled with good intentions except all that goes out the window when he meets the curvaceous bombshell, twelve years younger than him. Amber is a ray of sunshine and tempts him beyond all belief. He tries, really hard to resist her charms but she’s a woman on a mission and is taking no prisoners.
I enjoyed 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗦𝗦 and am giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
