Ember Nestor lost everything that mattered to her in one night. Her true mate was taken from her, and her mother decided to send her to Goldcrest Omega Academy where she must stay until she's claimed by an Alpha.
She isn't interested in finding a new mate while she's in mourning. She doesn't think she'll ever get over her loss, but a dangerous Alpha wants to claim her, and his persistence pushes her to go on the run.
Escaping from the academy, she finds herself drawn to the two Alphas and their Beta who immediately recognize her as their true mate. Love was the last thing she expected to find in the middle of the woods, but it comes at a cost. Can she let go of her past to open her heart to her rescuers, or will she forever be lost to her grief?
Let's see if I can rate this objectively. Because personally it's a one star for me, but I can acknowledge that it's a high-octane story that has a lot going on, so I feel like three stars is more like it.
I really wanted to love Ember (literally forgot her name immediately after finishing this, and had to look it up. So that's saying something). She seemed like someone so deadened by trauma, that the world needed to do right to her--but this wasn't it.
Without crunching the specifics with intense spoilers: Her mate bonds are all over the place. This pack is not great in a cohesive way, plus her first mate gets the shaft big time in more than four ways which is so incredibly distracting to the plot that I couldn't handle it from those points on. It's so unfair to everyone involved, and these books are like, fantasy magnets, so it's hard when the interior struggle is so in your face that the love story portion is just a byline to keep it series-inspired.
The author lost me in this one. She derailed me with love triangle weirdness and it felt really ambivalent and unseated. Not a fan.
But she wrote it well--other than from that connection angle and some typos, so I'm giving her that star back. But personally, I would still say this one only gets a two star because it was struggle to finish, and I usually take a star for that. But because this *might* be a reader judgement, so three it is.
Will I be reading the next one? Probably not. The particular character in that one has so much mindfunk already written into her storyline that I don't think I'll enjoy it. Feels like a more true-crime angle than a love-story-centric omegaverse, and I'm not a huge fan of how-it-could-all-go-wrong, disaster fiction.
A truly engaging story. This is a sweet Omegaverse story where the men are gaga over the female Omega lead. While they may have questionable character traits, they would do anything for Ember.Ember has been wallowing in despair after the loss of a true mate. This story is her journey back to life and happiness while facing a restrictive academy and Omega trafficking. This story had a lot of depth.
Ember has been lost and lonely since her mate died. Her mom decides it's time to move on and sends her off to Goldcrest Academy. Her life changes and not all of them are good. Loved Ember and her mates . This was a sweet and steamy read with some very interesting plot twists.
This book would have been great if it hadn’t been inconsistent and rushed. Ember was introduced to us in book one as someone who was broken by grief. She seemed to have no real interest in life and simply existed. I obviously expected her to heal in this book, but I didn’t expect that healing to be instantaneous. She went from “Ill never love again” to happily wanting to have sex with someone she just met and claim them as lifelong mates in the blink of an eye. The blurb made it sound like she would struggle to let go of her lost love and move on. There was zero struggle. Zero conflict with her relationships. Zero hesitation. The girl who ran away from everything to avoid mating just instantly accepted mates.
Not only was her character inconsistent, but the author seemed to break the rules she created for this world in book one. Or at least she just never addressed them. In book one, we meet a male omega. He is just like the female omega when it comes to omega traits and needs. He needs knots. He has heats. And he has to be given those knots during heats in order to not suffer. Now this book also has a male omega, but this male is only in a sexual relationship with the female. Other than being told he is an omega, we don’t actually see him as an omega at all. Does he not need knots?
If you can put aside these issues, though, the action is really good. And we get to see what happened to the school after the villainous headmistress was killed in book one.
Ember Nestor lost the love of her life, Aiden Winters. He was her true mate. Her mother sent her away to Goldcrest Omega Academy to be claimed by an Alpha, whether she is ready or not. Still mourning, the head administrator forces her to participate so that an alpha can choose her. But she is matched with a dangerous stalker Garrett she knew from high school, so she runs away.
Ember needs help. She is drawn to Victor, Corbin, and Beck, two alphas and their beta. These guys are available for hire by private clients in dangerous rescue missions. They recognize her as their fated mate and now must protect Ember from Garrett. On a rescue mission, she will learn a shocking truth. Where will her future take her? Is she willing to be the mate of the three men? And what if there are complications? Will Garrett capture her and change everything?
This is a sweet Omegaverse romance with strong characters and an entertaining story. This is Ember's story after she loses her mate and eventually finding happiness with her men. It's well written, moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is the second book in this world. It's a stand-alone, but you can read the first one as well. We learn more about the shady Omega school and what is going on there, what is happening with other Omegas. It's sweet, sexy and full of adventure
This omegaverse is amazing! Ember and her guys are the best pack! I don't do spoilers but I want all her men to be mine? Ok? Thanks! But before I take them make sure you read this book!!!
Romy Lockhart has quickly become one of my favorite authors. So, when I was asked if I maybe wanted an arc for this book I didn't know how quick I should say yes. However, I had overestimated my reading skills a little and had a few too many arcs planned for this week so I couldn't start this book sooner than today, release day, no matter how badly I wanted to. But, I can assure you that it was at least worth the wait!
What I love most about the books by this author are the exciting plots. There is always something bigger going on. There is always an action-packed finale with high stakes. There is always a bad guy that needs to be taken care of. There is always this moment our heroine has to stand up and take matters into her own hands. And there is always this amazing satisfying feeling when after all the angst our heroine gets the love she deserves.
In this book the author really outdid herself with the plot. It's amazing how all the pieces of the puzzle, the first mate our heroine lost, the three mates our heroine meets and the alpha guy she's running away from, click in the finale. Literally everything comes together. Every throwaway line, every heartbreaking scene, every tense moment, it's leading to the explosive finale where our heroine fights for her guys and the right to be with whom she wants to be.
The heroine in this book is very likable and easy to root for in general. She has this fighting spirit, but without that fighting spirit making her needlessly reckless. She runs away when there is really no other way out anymore. She involves herself in dangerous situations when there's really no other choice anymore. She picks her battles and knows which ones are worth the risk and which ones aren't. Just like she knows when she needs to be the one to take the lead in her romantic relationships.
I felt like this story had potential to be a great book if it was so rushed. I feel like it lack some character development. Like so many missing pieces in the story. Like one second she's shut down and stand off and the next she's having sex with a complete stranger in a cabin she just met that same day (mated mates or not) it just wasn't enough characters development. And the plot was good. But got lost in all the unnecessary sex scenes.
18 months ago Ember lost her true mate, since that moment Ember barely even existed. Her parents put her in an academy that is supposedly the best place to find your alpha. As an omega you basically have three options; you stay with your parents, you stay with your pack, or you stay at a academy. All of these options only have one goal; to find your alpha(s). Unfortunately, that's exactly what Ember doesn't want. She had already found her mate, only he wasn't an alpha so they didn't really know about him. It's against the rules for an omega to mate with a non alpha, you can mate with a beta or omega but only if that person was connected to your alpha. There are not a lot of omega's walking around so obviously it would be a waste to have her not be bound to an Alpha. After a, to me very confusing incident, a new headmistress has to take over the academy. The previous headmistress wasn't what you would call a good person, but she had decided to leave Ember alone, thinking of her as a lost cause. The new headmistress really makes a whole thing about wanted to help all omega's, even the "bad" ones. It's more like she's thinking it's such a waste that all these omega's are still here when there are also less desirable alphas out there without an omega. After Ember meets the alpha Garrett, who her new headmistress wants to match her with, she realises she has to get out of the academy. On the run she meets her other/new true mates. Two alphas and one beta. Three really sweet guys who have spent almost their entire life on helping omega's escape from omega traffickers. After finding a connection between Garrett and the current case they are working on, they do everything they can to bring him to justice. This book was a surprise, I wasn't expecting the action. I chose the book because it said slow burn until she meets her mates or something like that. I just read slow burn though, and it kind of is. Until she meets her mates, then she knows what she wants and she gets it. I have to admit that I liked that, it was different from the usual omega's who don't want to mate because they want to stay in control and stuff.
Like I said before, the start of the book was/is a bit confusing to me. Maybe because I haven't read the previous book, but I didn't really feel like I was missing any important information. The introduction to the story was very good, not rushed at all. Usually I get very impatient when it takes to long before the FMC and the MMC's meet each other, but not with this book. We get POV from both sides, plus it just read very easily. And I feel like the introduction was necessary. The guys all had their own personalities; the leader, the beta nerd, and the last one is a bit harder to explain maybe the survivor/army guy with a addiction to candy.
I didn't give it 5 stars because it was missing some things for me. We have this smart beta who is their hacker, but I feel like they don't really use his skills. When he needed to search for something, I think he basically just did a google search or having to search through photo's by hand instead of using a facial recognition program. Other thing I was missing was the getting to know each other, the relationship building. That part went really fast. The last thing that annoyed me a bit was that stuff was repeated. So for example Corbin would be thinking about a theory he has, and then he would tell Beck about this theory. So we get the explanation twice.
Romy Lockhart's Sweetverse is back with Lost Omega and it was bomb. The second book in the Sweet Omegaverse series follows Ember who readers got a brief introduction to in the previous book, Secret Omega. The books are connected through familiar settings and faces but while they are considered standalones because they follow different characters I still suggest reading them in order, believe me, you won't regret it.
Events happened directly before this book started that deeply affected Ember, she was a shell of herself and basically gave up on everything until a chain of events snapped her out of it. Ember decides she wanted to fight, she came up with a game plan, refused to form to the academy, and found her happiness with an unexpected pack. Ember isn't the shy type, she embraced her sexuality and trusted the mate bond. She found her way back to a life worth living and when it was threatened she fought back.
The members in Ember's pack each have a dark past but it doesn't define them too much. They took that darkness and decided to fight back for those who couldn't by becoming mercenaries but they work on the side of good. The guys knew each other before and have a great dynamic, the banter and teasing are proof of the brotherly bond. Victor is an alpha, the leader, and the brains of the operation who is fine but awkward. Beck is a beta, he's the tech guy, and also a little whiney. Then there's Corbine, also an alpha, he's the muscle and has a sugar addiction, seriously the guy eats like crap and is built like a wall, not fair. All the guys are great and click with Ember really quickly. They are protective without being smothering let her take the lead when it comes to their relationship and things are great between them.
I absolutely loved the plot of this book, things were steamy and a major storyline was being built. There's a stalker, dirty cops, kidnapping, an omega trafficking ring, murder, and so much more. It's a good adrenaline rush because things don't happen how you would think or to whom you would think. It's wild, Romy did well dropping little bombs everywhere, she kept me on my toes. Plus the timeline was wild, when Ember had to think about the timeline, it blew my mind that only one day had passed. Not to mention the story starts at Goldencrest, just when I thought they got rid of the trash they bring more in.
Lost Omega was awesome. The book is a little long but it didn't feel that way because I was so enamored with the story, I couldn't put it down. Everything was exciting, interesting, and very steamy. The story mentioned the previous characters, I would love to see them, and Ember and her pack show up in another book maybe even in the next book Broken Omega which is Brooke's story. I really can't wait for that one Brooke most definitely isn't what she seems and I know she's gonna have a great story to tell.
Listen the entire first 1/3 of this book is nothing but a quick change POV burst going between four of the characters as they slowly work their way up to even meeting. So many of these parts aren't even necessary to the storyline, like we see one character as he prepares for a few minutes to start a search party, and then we jump to another character making a trip into town, then another character preparing a meal, then the FMC as she talks with characters we'll never see in the book again, then back to another character as he explains what he found out on his trip to town that we already know about (aka we only needed one of those chapters), then another character as he finds nothing on his search, then we switch to another character as he finds a clue and takes a picture of it, then back to the FMC who has decided to leave and packs a bag, then back to--you get the point. It's boring and I skimmed the hell out of it until they finally meet.
And because so much time was spent just setting up them finally meeting, their relationship then develops instantly. They're having sex within hours of meeting, and developing deep feelings for each other within a day. Yikes. That's biology not love, bruh.
After they've developed their insta-love, the rest of the story plays out, which I might have liked if it weren't for everything lucky or positive happening due to thesr feelings two of the characters have that go above and beyond good instincts, and well into seeing the future territory. Honestly that characters just KNOW where to be at the right time, and what to do, and whether or not the second gunman is still lying in wait or if he's run off. It's ridiculous.
SPOILER It's this same hunch that caused a character to hand a grenade to an untrained character and basically tell them good luck as they sent them into a house alone as a hostage. She almost got dragged down the stairs with the grenade after launching it, but hey the hunch worked out??? Oh and they brought the mace so that this same character who had trouble telling the new girl she didn't want to talk just then earlier in the book could unalive another character in a really bloody way. END SPOILER
Also I found her time and relationship growth with each character to be very uneven. She only told two that she loved them on page, and it seemed like after thoughts squeezed in each time. Her relationships with two of them were also just squeezed in there at the end of the book, and her relationship with one character especially seemed cut short in favor establishing relationships with her newer mates. It was a shame because it didn't show the reader how this character had been dealing with the situation he found himself in. And what about his heats? We'll never know.
This is an exciting action-packed reverse harem omegaverse brimming with twists and turns, danger, suspense, and serious steam. Fans that love super sweet harems doting and protecting their mate will adore this book!
Ember Nestor is mourning the loss of her true mate, Aiden, when her mother enrolls her at the exclusive Goldcrest Omega Academy. She must remain in her gilded cage at the academy until she is claimed as a mate by an alpha. Ember flies under the radar and avoids social events until a new headmistress arrives that forces her hand. A dangerous and deranged alpha from her past wants to claim her as his own and she knows she must escape. She knows she won’t survive being mated to Garrett and escapes the academy grounds.
Victor, Corbin, and Beck are a mercenary team hired by private clients for risky rescue missions. While searching for a missing omega in the woods near the academy, they rescue Ember from Garrett’s clutches and recognize her as their fated mate. Their rescue mission just got a lot more complicated as they must protect Ember and continue their search.
The secrets and betrayals that are unraveled throughout the book left me gasping. This book is considered a sweet omegaverse but that implies to the way the men treat their mate. There are definitely not-so-sweet characters. I loved the length of this book (over 500 pages) and cannot wait for more in the series!
Tropes: Omegaverse, paranormal romance, academy romance, reverse harem Heat: 4/5
After book 1, we're lead right into Ember's story when she learns that Goldcrest Academy is more than what it presents itself to being. After landing at the academy because of a horrible tragedy, at the urging of her parents. It's to try and her back to her normal self, but It doesn't work out that way after she escapes the (prison) academy.
Ember was the type of omega I like to root for in any story, she's sweet, down to earth, and has been dealt a bit of a hard hand in life. But she knows that being out on her own with little to no help from the outside, she makes it work. You can empathise with her feelings, and understand why she feels the way she does. Romy did an amazing job with keeping the story line true to what the FMC was feeling and not rushing it in exchange for steam. Yes this is a slow burn but it's so worth it, the balance between 🌶 and plot is balanced perfectly.
I like Ember's mates, they're good for and with her, and I love that we get to see all of their POVs. This is crucial so we get to see into what they're thinking and spots where there would be holes if we just saw Ember's pov. We've got a complete circle with these guys, the reserved, the sweet toothed jock, and our nerdy dude.
This is a really great story, I love that each of these books is a standalone in a connected world, so even though it's a "new story" we're not learning a new world each time.
Lost Omega: A Sweet Omegaverse Romance by Romy Lockhart is just what it proclaims itself to be—a sweet omegaverse romance that will pull you right in to this endearing story about an omega who has lost her will to live and choose her fate after the death of her true mate—so she lets her mother dictate her life for her.
This story picks up right where Secret Omega left us, but this time focuses on another omega names Ember that has lived quite the tragic life after losing her true mate and being forced to attend Goldcrest Academy her domineering mother. When things get worse thanks to a dangerous alpha that wants to claim her as his own, she finds she has no other choice then to escape…and finds herself right in the path of some sexy men that just happen to be her true mates!
I loved how this story progressed and how Ember slowly grew into the omega she was meant to be with the help of her fabulous men! Romy is a true master at creating stories that draw you in, and this one is no exception!
Overall if you love sweet college age omegaverse fated mate RH romances with a sweet omega that learns to overcome loss and learns how to live again that also has tons of action, steam and delicious heat thanks to some sexy alphas and betas then this is the one for you!!! Just be sure to check your triggers first just in case!
Lost Omega is a standalone novel that connects you with an omega who is struggling. The one she loved, dearly and truly, she lost in a tragic accident. So, her mother sends to the Omega academy in the desire that Ember will catch the eye of a "worthy" alpha. Problem is, Ember doesn't want that. She wants to mourn her loss and be left alone. Too bad her mother doesn't care about that. So she makes a plan. But is love part of that? Not really. So, can she open her heart and give love a second chance when it finds her? Lost Omega is a well-written novel. A little lengthy, but I loved the build-up in this story. You get Ember at the academy and she's literally just drifting along. A shake-up causes her to be noticed and pushed into the paths of alphas. Too bad the one who's pursuing her is one that she wants to avoid more than anything. The dynamics between the characters is really good and kept me mostly engaged in the storyline. There are a couple of less engaging moments, and I did struggle with Ember's apathetic attitude from time to time, but it all plays to the bigger picture. This is a standalone novel, so you don't need to have read the first book to get into this one. It's enjoyable overall, and well written. I'm choosing to rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I enjoyed book one for the unique take on omegaverse. With a serial killer running around and sons of the serial killer it was interesting. This book fell flat for me. The spicy scenes were uninteresting and had a steam level of 2. The character development wasn’t there. Instant love fated mates is much more believable with well written smoking hot spicy scenes. Without those the relationships need to be built on even with fated mates. That didn’t happen either. I wasn’t able to buy into this concept of packs operating outside the bounds of the law while during active investigations. In such kind of clumsy weird ways. I felt like there was more focus on fatigued alphas, food choices, and appetites than there was on plot development. I couldn’t buy into the police being able to not investigate properly with such intense press coverage. Finally there were a lot of plot holes. Like how the bad alpha found her so quickly after she ran. Or why the stolen SUV was just abandoned. Or how the bad alpha seemed steps ahead without any explanation. That was much more interesting than muffins and burger and was ignored. I won’t be reading the rest.
After Embers true mate dies in a tragic fire her mother steps in and sends her to Goldcrest Omega Academy. It’s where omegas are supposed to find their alphas. Ember tries to fly under the radar because she doesn’t want an alpha. Her true mate Aiden was an omega like herself and she’s not ready to move on. Victor, Corbin and Beck are mercenaries that help rescue omegas and other things as well. They are in the woods near the academy looking for a missing omega. During an omega social event Ember is harassed by a vile alpha from her past. She decides to runaway to get away from him which brings her to Beck a beta from Victors pack. When she sees him she perfumes and is in shock that she has met another true mate. How is this possible when she wasn’t looking for any one else. But she can’t deny fate especially when she meets the two alphas of his pack Victor and Corbin, they are her true mates as well.
This story had lots of twists and turns with lots of suspense and danger. Things happen that will keep you at the edge of your seat and a major shocking twist that brings a ghost from Embers past back into her life.
A sweet omegaverse romance that has quite a bit of action as well.
I was super excited to read this after reading "Secret Omega" which is from the same world that this one takes place. (Lost Omega starts essentially right after Secret Omega ends but they are standalones and you do not need to read one to know what's going on). Sadly I was not blown away with this one but I believe that was due to getting the storyline in place as this one does need a little bit of time to get into but well worth it in the end. RL did a great job with the plot twists and the darker elements in this book (please check your TW's before reading this one - kidnapping, PTSD and grief are definitely some in this book)
There are some very cute elements in this book such as having to demonstrate how a certain vibrating device works to the rest of the class (iykyk) and it does end in a HEA for those that prefer those endings. This definitely becomes a why choose omegaverse and I'm very happy with how things ended - our main character Ember definitely needed it.
Ember has been numb for the last year and half, since the death of her mate. Her mother, a Beta, has her sent to Goldcrest Academy until she is able to find an Alpha. The story starts off with referencing some events that occur in Secret Omega, which I hadn’t read, but it was explained enough that while I could tell there was likely another book, I didn’t feel lost. Those events shake up Ember, and she decides that she needs to get out, especially when the new headmistress decides to push more Alphas. When she escapes, Ember finds herself with a new pack and realizes some of her past was lies. I really loved Joe, he is sweet and nerdy and a little needy. Corbin is also sweet, but in a Neanderthal kind of way. He also has a sort of nerdy side. Victor is the leader, and the touchstone for the group. Then there is a surprise from the past. The story touched on some darker themes than I was expecting, but I felt it was handled well. The romance is fairly fast-paced and steamy. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to Brooke’s story next :)
We see a haunted Ember Nestor for just a moment in the first book of the Sweet Omegaverse series "Secret Omega". Now we get the story behind that look in her eyes when we learn more about how she lost hertrue mate, Aiden. This is the one of only a few books that I've read that has dealt with the loss of a mate through death and the aftermath for those that are left behind. I really liked how the tone of this book felt so different that Secret Omega. You are seeing the Goldcrest Omega Academy through a new pair of eyes that paints a different light on many of the main secondary characters of the last book. There is a new head mistress of the academy and when she finally makes an appearance she leaves a serious impression on the entire campus. She has new ideas for a higher success rate for the Campus and Ember is about to be caught up in the middle of it all. This book kept to a similar level of action and suspense for the series which was nice. It was the same with the connection with the guys - nice guys definitely do not finish last in this Sweet Omegaverse and I love it.
At first seeing this was a “sweet” omega verse I was concerned it was going to be too soft and “clean” for my tastes but boy was I wrong. When Ember wakes up from her grief haze, we see how strong she really is, and I was quite pleased with her character. I love that her “true mates” were knights in shining armor and my favorite is Corbin. I love that he is this big muscular alpha with a sweet tooth. Beck is a close second because he has such devotion to Ember. About a third of the way through the book I got nervous because everything seemed to fall into place but there was still a large portion left of the book. The twists and turns that ensued did not disappoint. I had my suspicions about the villains of our story and was very happy with the ending. Even though this was a standalone the story did not feel rushed and I’m very excited about the next “packs” book.
This Is part of the Sweet Omegaverse series each book can be read as a standalone with an alpha who finds his omega, but will she be willing to go with him. Ember intelligent life isn’t going so well she lost everything in just one night trying to grieve but her mother decides to ship her off to the Omega Academy where she is to wait for another mate however long it takes but all she wants to do is mourn her mate until a dangerous alpha has her running for safety. Joe, Corbin and Beck sexy as all get out alphas who notice the young girl on the run knowing she is their true mate and will do everything to keep her safe but will she allow them to help her mourn, will they prove she is their mate, she allow them to be her mates, will she help rescue other Omega from being trafficked, does the crazy alpha Garrett gets what should come to him, and can they find their very own HEA together?.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
At first I found the book hard to get into. Not sure why, though this was the first book I have read from this author. Maybe because I thought it was just another book in a long line of omega academy stories where the omega tends social events to find her pack. And, like a siren’s song, I found myself drawn to other stories. Eventually I came back and, as I got further into the story I was like wait… why did I stop? This book is amazing! It has everything and more than a traditional sweetverse omega story. We have death, mayhem, chaos, deceit, lies, trafficking, murder… but none done in a dark way, for this is not a dark romance. Though I do have to say kudos and many props for use of a medieval spiked mace. Top marks for world building, character growth, and plot. Only regret is it is a stand alone but the author mentions there will be future stories involving some of the characters introduced here.
Romy lockhart written such Amazing books i loved her book lost omega . I love following ember in her journey…. I just really love the Way this author writes… all the books she writes is always soo good and always keeps me on my toes… the Way she writes is soo intresting.. i have loved all the books i have read by her… i love embers story and i love her realstionship with the guys i really loved the twist and turn… This really Kept my interest the whole Way and i really loves this book…this book was freaking good.. i really loved How the author ended their journey and I’m exicted to What the author comes up with in the future
I highly recommed that people read her book lost omega … it’s such good book and you Will not regret giving this book a chance by Reading it…
Ember, and omega, has lost her will to choose and lots her mother direct the course of her life after the death of her true mate. As the story progresses she lingers in apathy, things start to turn crappily, and if she can escape she hopes she can live happily. Lost Omega picks up where Secret Omega left off with a different female main character pushing her pain down until she can’t anymore. As she starts to gather herself, she also finds that she is collecting men that will worship her. This book brought me to tears in places, had me laughing at others, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
What an absolutely fantastic story! I couldn’t put it down from the start until I got to the very last page. This is a continuation on from the previous book but not including all of the characters. This story is about Ember who lost her true mate to a fire and was placed in the omega academy. When the new headmaster turns into be worse than the previous one Ember wants to escape the Academy, especially when she is informed that the alpha who made her uneasy in high school is now going to be her alpha mate. Ember manages to run away and then meets her true mates. This is what I cool a true full length novel which is full of adventure and lots and lots of action. There is a happily ever after for all mates involved.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is so full of action. I just loved it. Ember starts off the book as a broken omega. She has lost her true mate. Her family sends her to the Goldcrest Omega Academy. All she is doing at the academy is existing. Ember has no will left for finding an Alpha. She is faced with an awful alpha wanting to claim her. Ember decides to run away. She runs into 2 alphas and a beta that want to make her theirs. Now this is where it gets really really good. Talk about some steamy times. Wow. I couldn't get enough of her and her men. This book has everything. There is suspense and action. We find that things are not what they seem. I loved seeing Ember come back alive. She grows so much in this book. It's a standalone but I can not wait to read more from the series to see what happens to more from the academy.
Ember has lost her one true mate and doesn’t know how to cope with the loss, her mother even more so on comforting her omega daughter so she enlists Ember in the Academy in hopes of her finding an Alpha mate.
Ember doesn’t want a mate because for her, her one and only true mate was Aiden Winters or so she thought.
One night everything changes for Ember her decision to breakout of the Academy is made. Running away from an Alpha in the darkness isn’t as easy as she thought it would be, but this was her only chance.
I very much enjoyed reading Embers story and finding herself after her loss and then finding not one but three other true mates that lead the four of them right where they’re supposed to be was thoroughly enjoyable.
