With this novel, Mohan Raj presents a different, yet more plausible approach to history. History, as we know it, is always someone elses fantasy. In that regard, Mohan Rajs' novel is not that different from Mahavansa. Although I appreciate Mohans' approach to story-telling through magical-realism, I feel like exaggeration has gone out of control in this novel. Nevertheless, Mohan attempt to convey his political views through this story of queen Anula can be appreciated.
Despite two different stories , his style of writing just an extension of his first novel "Magam Soliya" for me. However, for me not good as "Magam Soliya". Anyway good read
