Leisl Leighton is a tall red head with an overly large imagination. As a child, she identified strongly with Anne of Green Gables, and like Anne, is a voracious reader and born performer. It came as no surprise when she went on to a career as a performer, script writer, script doctor, stage manager and musical director for cabaret and theatre restaurants.

After starting a family, Leisl stopped performing and began writing the stories plaguing her dreams. She is addicted to sci-fi and romance books and DVDs, she sometimes sings in a choir, loves to ski and horse ride, and was President of Romance Writers of Australia from 2014–2017. When she’s not writing, she helps other writers make their manuscripts shine.

You can contact Leisl through her website www.leislleighton.com or sign up to her Newsletter there and be the first to find out about new releases, appearances, special deals and exclusive giveaways.

Leisl is excited to be part of the Goodreads community and is happy to post reviews, but will only do so for books she has given 4 or more stars. 'I want to share what I love, not put negativity out into the world.'

This review is for Blood Cursed by Leisl Leighton.
One demi god Tam, his father, his very pregnant mother, a trapped spirit and his fated mate, Korinna, are together in order to defeat Claudia, a decieptful Wich who was thrown into the Void and is due to make a return within a very short time and reak havoc in the realm.
As is her gift, the author has masterfully succeeded in writing a story that treats a variety of topics requiring a fair amount of knowledge, research, and spinning skills that make this plot so intriguing.
She succeeds in virtually sending the reader on an adventure that will take him/her in the lands of Greek Mythology, the realm of the underworld, the world of demi-gods and goddesses, and the magical world of witches and warlocks.
Will Korinna finally find out who her father is? Will Jules have a healthy delivery? Will Tam regain the part of his powers that was taken from him? Will Korinna conquer her fear of full power release? Will the mission be a success? Wat will happen to the trapped spirit in the gem on Tam's'chest?
Through love, action, guilt, deceipt, misconception, battles, cunning, and many twists and turns, the author provides answers to these questions and more, in this 5 Stars rated page-turner.

Foiled by Samantha Marshall is a well crafted story. I didn't want it to end!
Drift and Taylin are two vibrant characters and Samantha slowly reveals the back story through the book, avoiding the information dump nicely, and uses it to propel the story along.
If you haven't read her previous books you might not get the thrill I had when I recognised the cameo characters. Now I want to go back and reread all of Sam's books!
And Bay! I want my very own wolpertinger now.

True to form, Marnie St Clair’s Book 3 of the Owlscroft Coven series is just as entertaining as the first two. I just loved the amazing world brought to life in Sweet Hereafter – a tale of Everly and JJ, future witch and wizard working through their history with the hope of a new beginning. Is there a way through for them? I was holding on to the end to see how it all unravelled! You’ll have to read it for yourself to get the answer, but you won’t be disappointed!
