Blood, sex, and magic… Isn’t there a song that goes something like that? Or maybe that's just what you get in a typical afternoon spent with a Vilaxian.
Throw in a few loving mates, one that just so happens to have tentacles, a cyborg doctor with mad sex skills, along with a warlock hell-bent on protecting me. and you have a running episode of “Life with Lila.”
With alien detainees, Celestian healers, and a mate challenge on the horizon it's going to get even crazier as I navigate my new life in the Galaxy Circus.
I've said it before, but it really is out of this world.
I love this series so so much. Honestly anything Lexie Winston writes is gold. I can't wait to see what happens next. So much is changing for Lila and I'm excited for her.
Every book in this series is always a sexy ride! I think the cover is a little misleading though and would have liked to see more development on that front. At this point, I feel like Lila might end up being mated to everyone 😂. We have the core four in this book + the two lightening cats + the possibility of the Naga and the Dragon. I feel like I'm missing one ... Ooo yes, the conceited merman.
This series😂😂 it's a combination of fantasy and adventure with humor and a lot of spice!
Unfortunately I can't immediately read the next one because ... responsibilities 😭😭 why does school always get in the way?!?
Once I discovered that this series is 7 books long, I gotta peace out.
It simply isn't good enough for all that. This series is another example of what should've been a duet being chopped up into 7 smaller books that are hella repetitive with as much redundancy as possible to up the word count. I just can't with the authors who do this.
I finish books so quickly because I have the privilege of being able to listen to audiobooks while working. I usually listen at 2X speed.
Why the preamble? Because this book is less than 10 hours long and should have taken me one day, or one and a half working day at most (if I got busy and had to pause a lot) to finish. I started it on Wednesday, and it is now noon Monday and I'm only 42% (4 hours) in. I kept pausing to listen to YouTube videos or podcast episodes and I realize it's because I was so bored. I am DNF at this point.
I do enjoy the characters a lot. I was worried it would be a desirability woman vs woman type book at first. I appreciate that Lilah has and made healthy female friendships and that her (many) antagonists are both men and women. The lore was amazing and had a lot of potential. However, the working storyline is rinse and repeat at this point. EVERY SINGLE MALE is in love with Lilah. Somehow, some way she's all the most powerful different alien's soulmates. Ok. Was this written by a teen? Like seriously. I read it for the RH for sure. But it's annoying at this point because it's LITERALLY 80% every nonrelated male who gets introduced.
The smut got boring pretty fast because Lilah is more a passenger than a participant. I am not a pillow princess myself and I don't want to read about one. She's just kind of 'just there' while they do stuff to her. The reactions are always the same. The smut is rinse and repeat too.
And there are inappropriate sex moments. Like your grandpa poisoned and half dead, do you really need to have a quickie before checking up on him? This is a big issue for me when an author attempts to equal serious storylines and smut. While keeping the smut amount high, they create moments that take me out of it because all I can think is "how can you initiate sex or get aroused while [insert disaster here] is happening?"
I am open to updating my review and finishing it maybe in the future. But I can finish now because I don't want to fall asleep at my desk lol.
I’ve been trying to finish this series and find it harder with each book. The list of cons is bigger for me than pros. Here’s my thoughts: Pros -The concepts are very imaginative overall, though there are issues in how they are developed and presented (I added more below). -The spicy scenes are very “out there”, varied, and have high spice factor. The author goes to places most mainstream writers don’t, while not necessarily being overtly dark, or in your face. -The story line is very interesting, which keeps you invested and overlooking some of the cons. -The imaginative species and characters are the best part of the book imo. Very creative and interesting. The complex histories and nuances of species is impressive and if the author was a stronger writer this series would be insanely good. -Imaginative and out of the box thinking on se*uality, sensuality, genders, reproduction, and habitats surrounding these. Cons -very flat, and almost juvenile characters. The character development is erratic at best. I can’t explain it any other way than it feels like a teenager wrote it. The actions and thoughts of the characters are not very mature and a lot doesn’t have a very cohesive feel. A lot of petty/jealous villains who are all the same character. A lot of issues which all are the same issue brought by multiple characters. They are all jealous and hate the main character for reasons that aren’t very realistic and/or are underdeveloped. -It is almost as if the author would think to randomly do something and then do it. The story is wayward and random. Yet, often predictable. Mostly high school emotions and juvenile level of depth. -Many things just happen. This goes with the last point. Not much in-depth explanation, just suddenly, something is true and we’re going with it. This might be fine if this wasn’t a highly complex sci-fi world with concepts that would be really amazing if the author fleshed these ideas out. Instead it is a bit jarring. You’ll have a new alien concept out of nowhere without the writing skills to introduce it and explain it well. Suddenly, something weird is happening and before you understand what this concept or scene truly is, its over. -relationships are also undeveloped and juvenile. The main character meets someone and immediately they are in love. This is meant to be the norm for her species but it isn’t done in such a way that that makes sense. It just feels forced. The interactions are rushed and chaotic. -The main character is very flat. After three books all I’ve got is she’s really h****, she’s turned on by everything, she’s flighty (not in an endearing way), she flip flops emotionally very abruptly, and her emotions, once again, seem very juvenile. There is nothing wrong with emotional characters, but this doesn’t feel real, it truly feels like a 13 year old’s understanding of personality.
Overall, the plot and out of the box thinking makes this possibly worth the read. If you like higher levels of character development and writing it will be very frustrating. But at book three you likely know this. I finally just got frustrated enough by this series to write a review. Plus, by this book the new concepts and imaginative characters and storyline has worn off. You’re starting to get a sense that there isn’t much here depth wise by this book. That’s ok for many readers, obviously s with such a high rating.
I honestly skipped a lot of Lilas stuff. I don't understand how she is the mfc. She's selfish and thoughtless and no one calls her out on it. Grandpa dying? He can wait while I get my grove on. Ship sabotage? Who cares. A flash drive with possible malware? Oops I forgot. She goes insane when her mates so much as hint that they don't want her and goes crazy possessive, but her husband in a strip bar with his ex and she's cool, she trusts him. She makes no sense. She is also lucky She's got so many men because she is going to be a terrible mother. She keeps forgetting about her 3 babies and doing dangerous stunts and only after she's like omg I forgot. Also, she's flirting and touching someone else mate and she just rolls her eyes like it's nothing when the partner gets mad and she can't even stand others saying hers are hot? She's a completely mess.
As usual, Lexie surprises us all. The summary is a very small part of the book. Not even a full chapter for the fight scene near the end. There was so much more to the book than the summary. We still don’t see who she is as a Skarrian until the very last chapter. I wish we saw more of what happened when she passed out. I loved the different povs, I’m really interested to find out if the new dragon will become a love interest. Even tho he’s cranky with her, she’s still interested. I’m glad she’s super calm, collected, and still open to meeting people even though she got burned pretty bad in the first book from Dylan. I think the stripping scene I would have done the same thing as her, not knowing what was going on, what’s normal to them all, vs normal stripping on earth. Even I would have stared and be like what is happening. I hope Link fixed that guy up. How crazy. I’m in love with the series. So much is happening, but it doesn’t feel like the whole world is on her shoulders despite everything going on. The weight of the world really is on her shoulders but you don’t feel that depressive, anxiety mess of emotions. At least not yet in the series. I suspect there will be several more books even after the next two. Lexie is making sure her readers are so into the characters that it’s not even on the horizon of her protecting the orb of power. I can’t wait to read more!
Dual POV. Really steamy. Pregnancy. RH. I’m so glad this is a ‘why choose’ series because Lila’s harem is 🥵 I love a good fmc that is fierce and doesn’t take any shit and that’s exactly her. My favorite thing to read in a book is the differences between cultures and the characters background. This book delivered that and more. This is my first alienish book ever, and holy cow I think I’m a fan now. I also loved that this book picked up exactly where the last left off. I feel like she’ll have more guys added and I’m excited to see how the next book is going to play out. Shifting into half form for the birthing process was completely unexpected to me and now I’m very interested how this will go. Especially with her Skarrian powers activated! Only con to me while reading this book was I felt the pregnancy was pushed to the side and so much was being thrown at the fmc that I’m not sure how it will play out or if everything will be answered. But I trust the author and I know she has a plan for the characters that’ll wrap everything up!
I love, love, love this series! It has a fantastic FMC who has such a huge heart. She is funny, smart…and has a wicked sense of humor. She loves easily and completely…but not always wisely.
Lila is still trying to come to terms with her new life, in just weeks she has become mated to a hunky Kracken, and is carrying his babies…she finds she is possibly mated to others and there seems to be multiple people trying to kill her!
As Lila and her group of mates expands so does her duties to the Galaxy Circus. Her grandfather’s are determined to get her trained so that they can retire and Lila and her mates will then be in charge of the circus and that pesky orb that no one is supposed to know about.
Join Lila and her men, her friends both new and old as she discovers new powers and new lovers and finds out the truth behind Area 51!??? Or some of the truth 🤷🏻♀️
This is such a fantastic world…you won’t want to miss.
How does Lila suck in this book? Let me count the ways.
She drinks like a fish even though she's pregnant. I'm guessing we're relying on Link to smash the glass out of her hand if it could harm the babies but she doesn't give it a second thought.
Not that she ever thinks of them at all except to panic briefly after doing something monumentally stupid that should have harmed them but miraculously didn't. You'd think a foster kid would give a shit about children in her care but, it's Lila so....
While a dude is being tortured and is screaming and convulsing in agony she spends most of it admiring his body. She's very bloodthirsty and cruel in general but that scene in particular was beyond the pale. oh, but she's SO kind and compassionate according to her mates.
She's all on board to punish folks by forcing them into sex work. In fact she's THRILLED by that idea. All that rape and torture of other sentient beings is just jam on her sandwich. Good thing she's not in charge of anything important... oh wait...

Whisperer is an awesome addition as the 3rd book to the Galaxy Circus series!!!! This series just keeps on giving in the best way and has become one of my favourite reads for the year!!
Twists and turns left, right and centre, a secret dastardly organisation is uncovered, more potential mates for Lila and with lots of steam and some tender moments between Lila and her harem, coming to terms with her own evolution and still needing to learn all there is about the circus it's safe to say that Lila has her hands full!!! It was also great to see Susie, Mark and their loves once again, hopefully, they will pop up again.
The glossary in the back is a godsend. With so many species being introduced with each book and now travelling through the galaxy, it is extremely helpful.
4.5 Stars! I absolutely FLOVED this series - it has so many of my favourite tropes/micro tropes; paranormal/sci-fi, RH, fantastic world building, various aliens/creatures, loads of 'different' spice and the humour!! This is very fast paced, action packed and an absolute page turner. I had trouble putting down these books, I was addicted within a couple of chapters and could not stop reading. I burned through the five books currently available in a matter of days and I am eagerly awaiting book 6. This series is so different to anything else I've read with a circus (in space!), aliens some of which have some very paranormal characteristics, various MCs covering different races, personalities and peens! Then the storyline is completely original and totally captures your imagination. LOVED it.
I loved this edition to the galaxy circus! First of all Saxon!!! Holy hotness! I loved how whisperer picked up right where the last book finished. I enjoyed seeing Lila with her mates, and I loved the appearance of Aura gasm, Susie, mark, and the others. I enjoyed getting to know Maxim and Echo better. I am very curious to see what happens between them and Laila. The big whammy for me was getting to finally find out Lila’s true skaarrian powers!! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book and see who is added to her harem. I have a feeling a lot of secrets will come out the further we get into this series.
I ❤️ Lila’s Story! There is so much I like about this series and in this book specifically, I loved:
- Hot as hell sexy times🔥 - Lila is fierce, big hearted and is starting to really feel comfortable with her new family - Gotta love Mack and Susie show back up in this book and make it interesting - More mates added and a few more making their presence know - And an intergalactic mystery that gets curiouser and curiouser….
This is one of those series that I didn’t know what to expect but with all things Lexie - I am always willing to give it a try. She had me hooked on the Galaxy Circus and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

And this still continues to be my #1 favorite series. Lila is really coming into herself and her connections with the other characters are fantastic. She’s a badass when she needs to be and sweet and sassy the rest of the time. Jealousy and compatibility are big things in this story, as is consent. I love how the other races, even though different, are kept relatable and easy to connect with. I cannot wait until the next book, and wow, she’s getting so many mates, they may need to add a whole new deck/floor to the GC Ship. Keep up the great work Lexie and thanks again for sharing your talent and imagination with the rest of us.
It was fine, but from the cover, I expected much more of the kitties. It was a pity that they were barely in there. The cover made me think that Lila would be training for their act in this one, but nope, it's completely about different shit happening. The guys are cute, like before; Lila has annoying moments, like before. Saxon was nice. I was a little put out that the cats got shoved in before Lila decided if she wanted Nikos or not. There is also the dragon and the naga, who both seem interested, but we jumped to the two cats, who don't really know what they want. And nothing even happened between them. This one is the weakest book so far.
Well gosh damn that book was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t put it down and the story sucked me straight in with all the twists and turns, watching Lila move through all the obstacles she faces and the ending well shit I didn’t see that coming but I’m extremely excited for the next book and to see the story continue as it’s completely sucked me in! It is full of so much stuff that you completely get lost in the world building that Lexie has done, it’s an absolutely gem of a book!
Out of this Galaxy 5+ ⭐️ What can I say. I absolutely love this series. Ms Winston has created an amazing world with some truly intriguing characters. I consumed this book as quickly as I could and I can’t wait for the next one. I don’t like saying too much about the storyline because you really want to experience the twists and turns as they happen. Lila is amazing and all the characters are just so well written. And the chemistry between all of them is so yummy. All time favorite sci-fi series!!
I love this series SO much! This book picked up exactly where it left off, Saxon escaping and hunting down Lila. Lila’s grandfather’s are still determined to train her so they can retire and she along with her mates can be in charge of the circus. I love watching her group of men expand and I am so darn curious and excited to see what happens with the omega lightening cat. I am waiting on the edge of me seat for the next book…I would say “patiently” but I adore this series so much I literally can’t wait! 😬
I love Lila's character. It's been fun watching her navigate this new world and getting to know all the men she has at the moment😉 But ugh, I waited so long for this book to come out and now I have to wait more to find out what happens next! There are so many questions I have and I really want to know , like who was behind the closed door? I'm really hoping the next adventure happens soon. This series has so many interesting characters and the story itself is fun and intriguing, so yes, I would absolutely recommend. Happy reading everyone.
This was sexyyyy but not as sexy as the first two. I think this one was really functioning to set up the rest of the series which I didn’t mind because the worlds she builds are fascinating! I was a little lost with so many new species this round but it’s so fun and the plot is low stakes and full of breeding and babies and happiness☺️
We didn’t fuck the cats tho which I really thought we would but it was okay we’re not holding it against anyone because we got the amazinggggggf vilaxian transformation! I really liked this and I will def be reading more
Honestly the cover is misleading even if the lighting cats are more prevalent in this story, they still aren’t at the front.
This book is about Lila and I find anything that isn’t directly about Lila annoying. There were too many Max and Echo scenes that had nothing to do with Lila. I don’t need to know those characters until they’re actually connected to the MAIN character.
The time on Iceen was the best part and that alone got it an extra star!! Until the end it was pretty on par with the other books.
Holly plot twists batman! I absolutely loved the latest installment in the Galaxy Circus series. We get to meet some really neat new characters and learn more about some we have already met and love. I enjoyed learning more about some of the cultural differences between beings. As usual, the book was well written and has a good ratio of plot, character development and spice. This book did feel a bit more rushed to me than the previous 2 and the novella, but overall, a solid and fun read. 4⭐!
This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites! Lila is incredible with all that is thrown at her and all of the changes that have been made in her life. This had me so engrossed it became a one sitting read that really left me wanting more. I loved that Susie, Mark and other made an appearance in this book. I love that the world building for the Galaxy Circus is never ending and there is something new to learn about with each book.
This book finished way too quickly. I have really enjoyed all the Galaxy Circus books and I loved how this was a continuation from the Rocky Horror retelling. Book 3 as with all these books have been so easy to read and very enjoyable. I love the unique storyline and all the different creatures in this universe. The characters all have such strong voices and storyline’s that it’s so intriguing. Can’t wait for the next book!
Omg!!! I can't get enough of these books!!! Each one keeps getting better and better as we follow Lila as she continues to collect her mates and bond with them. This book contains all the mystery, excitement, soooo much smexy times my tablet was smoking.......I can't wait to see where this series goes and I'm impatiently waiting for the next book!! A must read!!!!
This is the third book in the series and it was phenomenal! So many things happen that keep you on the edge of your seat. You will laugh, scream, and enjoy the sexy bits. I love all the twists and turns this book takes and can not wait to see what happens next. This book is everything! The author has truly out done herself with this series! Highly recommend.
OMGGGGGG! I NEED THE NEXT BOOK IMMEDIATELY!! If I wasn’t already in love with the harem in Galaxy Circus I would be now… so instead I’m now borderline addicted to Lila’s harem of hotties. Thanks a lot Lexie Winston, as if I didn’t already obsess over them.
Whisperer was honestly amazing (not surprising tho considering how phenomenal this series is) and now I’m going to go drool over my highlights… I think I need to reread again already.
Damn! How is Lilah so lucky? She is collecting some very strong harem members. There is more in depth looks into the Galaxy Circus, some cross over from 'Wicked Nights' (yay), and more potential lovers poking around (or trying to....yeah, I'm looking at you Nikos hahahaha). I can't wait for the next one. It's getting more exciting each book.
