the worst of the series, unfortunately

Look, I’ve been along for the ride since book one because these books, for the most part, are a lot of steam and filler/nonsense plot that is just way over the top but that’s what made them fun. They’re ridiculous and easy and the characters are morons but I couldn’t stop. This conclusion however, was so absurd, I skimmed so much of the filler plot because I couldn’t handle it without laughing, and not even the steam was written well. Like, I’m not looking for realistic, ok? (I read monster romance for crying out loud) I’m looking for goofy with steamy scenes that are at least written well and not stilted and awkward and full of cringey dialogue. This was a weird mix of all three and it was a bummer.

And now there are gonna be more spin-offs? Absolutely not. No one needs those. This whole cast of characters can just be left alone and we can all just move on.

The four stars are for Bastian and Damian.

Savage Knights is the third installment within the Princes of Devil's Creek series. It's not the last one either since the next book comes out in September. With how things ended in this one, it's safe to assume that I will definitely be jumping into that when it's available.

Throughout the other two books, we have been suspicious about who was betraying who. Once we got little secrets revealed, I was honestly annoyed that I didn't see them coming. Then I was happy because we were finally getting answers so the healing process could begin. Right? Right.

Yet, no, it didn't because we still had mafia drama to deal with. On top of that, baby drama too. I wasn't surprised who the father was but then I just smiled. Mostly because these guys were all going to want children with her, and I couldn't wait to see who would be next.

I'll admit that the secret ceremony that we've been hearing about since book one was a little weird. Then again, if I was knight standing during this, I would probably cringe lol. Other than that, I completely devoured this series. I laughed when a certain grandfather went out with a bang during his will reading. Such an asshole.

The conclusion to Alex, Luca, Marcello, Bastian and Damians story is absolutely mindblowing!!

Savage Knights is book #3 in the Princes of Devil Creek series.

Holy crap, what an ending!!! Jillian didn't hold back with this one!!

Alex gets taken, and the guys need to get her back. They make a plan, and with the help of all the Devils Knights, they execute their plan perfectly. They also have a surprise growing in Alex, and one of the guys doesn't know how to feel about that. Alex also gets her coronation as their Queen, and oh boy is it HOT!!

Savage Knights is action packed from the start!! We get to see the sweet, softer sides of the guys that they only show Alex, and it made me love them so much more!! Alex is so strong by the end of this series and I adore her growth!

Once again, Jillian has blown me away! I love her writing and I can't wait for more!!

This might just have been my favorite book out of the series. You see a softer side to all the men and learn more about Bash & Damien’s childhood.

There were so many favorite parts of the books! Especially when they showed up to rescue Alex at her wedding to Lorenzo, I felt that that scene should be in a movie with how badass it was. And, when Damien showed Alex the nursery that Marcello painted, that whole part had me all sappy.

I definitely didn’t expect the father of the baby to be who it was but loved it, and for the person who hired to kidnap Alex. WOW!! I can’t wait for Very Bad Cadets, this series (Cadets of York Military Academy follows Grace & Cole)

"Between the four of us, we'll make one decent husband."

Savage Knights was such an incredible, spicy, emotional story. I knew Jillian was a good writer from the previous books in this series, and this one is just another example of what I love about her writing.

Alex is finally starting to see the changes in the men she has wanted for SO LONG.

Honestly, I loved Luca in this book; he opened up and showed her that he loves her and will do ANYTHING for her.
I really missed Marcello in this book, but I know why he took a back seat.
Damian and Bash's connection was everything; this is what I was waiting for in this WHOLE series, and I loved it!
Damian is such a damaged, lost soul, and the gift he got was the best gift he could have gotten, and that was one of my favorite parts.

"Sit on my face. Let me taste your p*ssy, baby."

Jillian, you did a fantastic job wrapping up my favorite characters. ( I would LOVE Dante's story next!!) I can't wait to see more of them in the spinoff books, and I am excited to see what else you have in store for this world.

Okay. This is by far ranked last in the series. I had a super hard time even finishing this book. I cringed so many times. I’m not a DNF person, but i had to knot *plot wise* what happened. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of plot… and when there was plot, it was poorly planned and had typos!

I’m so sorry to have to rip on this book, I hate doing this, but I’m just so confused and conflicted.

“Rest in peace to your panties” more like skip through every cringe sex scene. They’re not even necessarily *hot* scenes.

Pregnancy trope…

Every time the men ate Alex out while pregnant I was trying not to vomit. The mucus… oh god.

Also, no one questioned why she didn’t have a period for three months? And only had morning sickness at the end of month three? Or they couldn’t find out the gender? Or the first kick was super late (first kicks are more like flutters fyi).

This is not a fantasy book, yet these men are always hard. They “cum” or “come” (PLEASE stick to one spelling the whole book), and then they’re hard again or never got flaccid in the first place. Magic. All these men have “monster” dicks. Also, damn, this Virgin can take dick like no other. And in the ass. Crazy.

Why do we pretend that no one is going to notice that these kids don’t look like “dad” aka LUCA.

There wasn’t a lot of character development. Even though Alex notes that the boys are changing. Not really. Stockholm syndrome is taking hold.

I’m still confused after book three of why they needed a Queen or what the Queen even does… she’s a symbol? And all the knights watched her fuck all four men as “initiation.”

I only read it for Marcello, and then she went and fucked him.

ALSO, the dialogue is BASIC and so repetitive. “Wow.” “Baby” “I need you.” Over and over again.

Please stop glorifying her mental illness.

Easier to put down than the other two, so it gets a lower rating.

Just as chaotic, just as unhinged, but just as spicy and with new themes and activities (pregnant spice fans will enjoy this book). Ends on a cliffhanger (-ish) so we’ll have something to read this fall.

it’s not that it’s a bad book or anything but i just started getting bored of it near the end. the series is good but it does drag a bit. it has chapters in multiple different pov which is interesting however this tends to skip some info that could’ve been interesting for the readers

*review for entire trilogy*

I really need to stop downloading KU books based off of stupid tiktoks, but I have the audio of Professor Cal to blame for this one, iykyk.

Um so this is split over three books which I hate because I can't not read them as I need to know what happens.. which in this case was pointless. I ended up skim reading/skipping loads of the nonsense plot because I really didn't care, but also I still didn't understand the secret society after three books or why they needed a Queen and why they had to do that initiation lol

If you wanna know, this is a reverse harem book and every character seems to suffer from a type of mental illness but also there's no proper back story to help us understand them.

Also, fair warning, this is a full on pregnancy trope romance so yay I hate that for me.

And savage knights they are!

Book three picks up where book two ended

Alex has been taken by her mother, in exchange for the bounty, then given over to Lorenzo. In a bittersweet moment she is reunited with her brother Aiden. They have no choice but to comply, going along with everything.

Luca, Marcello, Bastian and Damian show up to where the auction takes place, not realising that it is a wedding that they are attending, but before the wedding can proceed The Devil’s Knights crash the festivities, coming to the rescue of their queen.

And when Alex confronts her mother for the trauma that she and her brother endured as a child, she finally gets the closure that she deserves.

For Luca, he and his brothers they will burn down the world for their queen, it is when Luca comes to the realisation that he loves Alex, and that Damian accepts Alex’s love for him flaws and all.

The threat to Alex is still looming putting them all on guard, but a pivotal moment for Bastian and Damian, when they learn the heartbreaking truth, from Bastian’s grandfather, that he was in fact the one responsible for their insurmountable pain.

In one night of passion and pleasure Alex gives herself to Luca and her men, as they consummate their love for one another in front of there loyal knights, finally crowning their queen.

For public consumption, they follow through with a wedding, to draw out Lorenzo, and he takes the bait, and for him there is no recourse.

With the threat behind them they move forward with their lives. It is during the anniversary gala for Luca’s mother that Alex goes into labour, and with her husbands by her side she gives birth to her and Damian’s beautiful daughter Sofia.

One year later, they have settled into married life with each other, Sofia and there respective jobs. We discover out heroine is pregnant with twin boys, much to Luca’s delight. It is during a much sought after vacation that they realise the threat is far from neutralised.

This book has it all dark why choose romance, possessive dominant alpha males, a strong sassy female who gives as good as she gets, murder, madness, mayhem, revenge, vengeance, violence, deception, adrenaline seeking suspense, jealousy, twists, turns, truths and betrayal.

This story is told from multiple POV, it will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. Reading this story, it enables the  readers to really connect with the characters, and as the story continues to unfold the readers see the development and growth from the characters singularly and together.  The author definitely knows how to write and I’ll be coming back for more.

And those MM, MF, MFM and MMFMM s*x scenes, including those BDSM elements were steamy, yet sensual, dirty, hot, intense, physical, provocative, it had all the angry angst, hate, jealousy, pleasure and passion one would except when Luca, Bastian, Marcello and Damian show there queen who they really are and takes them for all that they are, darkness and all. For they take what they want without consequence, each giving Alex the pain and pleasure she deserve, their possessive and obsessive need for control and dominance, it was off the charts and had all of the feels.

Onto book four!

Okey so I did like this series but at some parts of it wasn’t my cup of tea.
I did like the development of each character and how they grew without losing their essence. Love each and every characteristic of the main characters. Alex being the girl that at first try to be confident and “fake it till you make it” then making it and believe in herself and the power she has. Bastian being the person he was and little by little accepting who he really was and his love not only for Alex but for Damien as well. Damian being a character with mental illness and one of the sources being not believing he is worth of love, then he was reassured he could be loved even though the person he is. Luca being able to reconnect with his feeling and Marcello with the possibility to grew as a person loving someone else and taking care of her.
Then was the Damien-Bastian scenes, love them, love the spice and every single detail it had. Live the fact that al the end Luca was able to accept his feelings, reconnect and being a better person to Alex, not just for her, but for him.

Now, why it wasn’t my cup of tea…. The book it’s good, I did like it, but the pregnancy trope it is really not my thing, I really think it can be skipped and for the to grow more and have more adventures. I know that maybe it was necessary for Daemon to grow in his character but not my fav thing. The REALLY slow burn that happen with some of the characters was wayyyyy to slow for me… finally the end, it wasn’t my favorite, I don’t like the stories that end with a “you can read this but it’s not necessary cause it’s extra but it’s still part of the series” cause then I don’t feel at peace, so even though I just wanted to finish this series, I don’t feel comfortable cause I have to read the next one.

I really think that this series could have been just one book divided in sections and chapters if the author wanted to “highlight” or make a pause in the whole storyline.

At the end, even though it did have something that aren’t my favorites things, it was a good book with an excellent character development, good storyline and hot scenes as well as characters.

This would be a big higher - more like a 3 and a half stars! ⭐⭐⭐ & and ⭐. 5!

Book 3 feels like a completely different book than book one!!!

Yes sex abundance but the Storyline overtakes it this time and its a readable Storyline!  I'm glad I stuck with it!

The Salvatore brothers come a complete 180 after they retrieve their queen and get her home safe. A case of "you don't know what you've got till its (almost) gone"

Luca seems to have an epiphany as to what Alex is after and what he needs to be offering her her and how he should be acting with her.
And once this happens, it's like a massive cloud lifts from the group. Alex agrees to marry Luca now, as he realises she needs his brothers too. So everything moves forward with the wedding.

So Alex becomes the Queen of the Devil's Knights. She goes thru with the Legare in front of the Knights.

So many secrets come out. The real killers of Bash and Damians parents. Wish then result in a breakdown for Bash but then helps him stop holding back, esp where Damian is concerned. After all the brothers know anyway so why is he stopping what feels good?

Alex ends the book pregnant and has a paternity test, she even tho all four will act as fathers, they each want their own biological ones.

They all changed with their love for Alex, and but after having the baby? They're like completely differently different men.

BUT. Having said that, to outsiders they're still the tough, but not to be messed with Salvatore Brothers.

Even tho this is meant to be the conclusion of the trilogy, it ends with a slight cliffhanger in the epilogue. The group are on a holiday to Italy and Alex is pregnant with Lucas twin boys with a plan a c section in a few weeks. But a call halts everything to say their friend and mastermind behind the technology, Drake Battle has been kidnapped with his best friend and head of security......

Favorite quote: “Her art speaks to me the way a song would for others. I don’t need to hear her words to understand how she felt.”

When you have been waiting for the conclusion of Alex’s story and it exceeds everything you were expecting you end up with a book hanger like no other!

As two of Alex’s guys are dealing with picking something up and when they get back to catch up, they know that something is wrong. As the guys work together to find Alex and get her back, she is sold to the highest bidder. Oh, the things people are willing to do to get to the Wellington funds that go with Alex. It takes all the Devil’s Knights to get a plan in place. Alex has to have faith in her guys and the rest of the Knights to save her from the situation that her last name has put her in. Will they be able to?

Jillian gave so much in this book. It is action packed and has so much happening you cannot put it down. We finally get to see the wall Luca had around his heart start to crumble and man Damian, he just shows a whole new side to him. It is beautiful watching all the guys find their place next to Alex. Each offer something special to Alex and this being said is perfection, “Between the four of us, we’ll make one decent husband.” That is all Alex wants from her guys. Their best versions of who they are, not who she wants them to be.

All the loose ends get ties up in the perfect little bow and I love it! Almost as much as my love for the strength Alex finds. She started out as someone who appeared so weak, but by the end she becomes so strong and proved that she could be the Queen the Devil’s Knights needed.

To many cringy sex scenes

Okay this is where you might not like what I have to say. The storyline was great. I also believe that this series could have been a heck of a lot better if there was more storyline about the secret society the founding fathers the enemies the knights. Instead every other chapter was a sex scene. No mind you good stories have good sex scenes and it builds from there. This story was like all about sex it was all about pleasing the whiny female character. There's only so much a reader can take when it comes to reading about how many times in 40 chapters that one of the four men are eating her out. It got old and I had to skip those chapters because I was tired of reading about it. I would like to have read more on the storyline which could have been two books if they didn't keep adding the notorious oral sex scenes. After a while it just got cringe-worthy like I knew it was coming up and I just flipped through the pages.
Although you get a lot more in this book you don't remember it because like I said it's drowned out by the whiny female character who is trying to be this big boss lady who's getting her rocks off all the time it's just not realistic cringy and the whole three books could have been condensed to two books.
Maybe you just me but as a reader I want plot I want story I want to know what's going to happen I want to work myself up to that point but you don't get there because they throw in sex scenes all the time and it just makes for bad reading.

Alex had thought that her life was on the way to bliss with her four, yes four, fiances. But that was before she was taken captive and promised to marry the leader of a rival mafia gang. She had to trust that her men would find a way to save her and their unborn child from a life on the arm of another man. Even if her men found a way to free her she knew she had an uphill battle with the big baddies out there that would stop at nothing to get their hands on her and her dowery. It seems her family was the brokers of secrets and a lot of people wanting the Wellington black book that would promise them control over any and all made men within the vicinity. Will Alex find a way to be free again and if she is, will her life ever be safe enough to bring a baby into it?

This book was good. I think that the author is starting to find their footing within their plotting of stories and making sure there are no holes or miscommunication that makes the story feel farfetched and fabricated. We all know that with fiction it is not a real story, but for those who enjoy reading we like to get lost in our stories. We like to watch it within our minds like a movie but of our own making. That is hard to do when the author doesn't give you all the puzzle pieces to put together to create the big picture. This one was a lot better. I could watch the protagonists move through the story and actually found that there were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. I did feel that, once again, the main drama that is left as a cliffhanger from book to book was resolved really quickly with not a whole lot of issues. I would have liked there to be a little more pushback from the antagonists to make it more difficult for the men to attempt to save their woman.

I normally am kind of 'eh' about sudden pregnancies and how they unfold but with this one it felt obvious. I mean there was never any mention of protection or anything within the many, many, many sexual scenes that were created between Alex and her men, so it was obvious, unless she had the rod or an IUD that it was going to follow that course. I thought it would be closer to the end of the series though so that it could be wrapped up in that happily ever after bow. Either way, this one wasn't all that bad. Even if some of the reactions were puzzling.

This book, while still rooted in smut, felt like it was a lot more story focused than the last two. It wasn't just all about the romance, there was a bit of mystery involved. Which is why I gave it three stars, but high three stars this time. I am going to keep going through the series and see the growth that Jillian Frost experiences as she gets more acquainted with her characters.

Y’all. Y’all. I cannot rave about this series enough. Once again I saw it on booktok and thought it looked good. Boy were they right. I devoured this series.

Our FMC, Alex, has to choose between one of our four MCs to marry as part of a deal her grandfather made with their father. The catch? They’re her high school bullies and they made her life miserable. I adored Alex. Her childhood was miserable because of her mother and the way Ms. Frost addresses her trauma and how it’s affected her was so well done. Reading about how she was with each of the guys and how they each treated her and how they’re relationships grew and evolved was so beautiful.

I love each of the MCs. Picking a favorite was so hard because they were so different. Luca was the leader and main tormentor. It honestly took me awhile to like him but I did end up falling head over heels for him. Marcello 😍 he has my absolute whole heart. He’s her protector and you just love everything about him. Bastian is the flirt but as the books progress he just becomes so much more. I love him almost as much as Marcello. Damian was the one I loved watching progress the most. I loved his storyline. He’s my little psycho.

These books are spicy and the plot is amazing and they are books that I’ll read over and over. Definitely grab them, you won’t regret it.

WHAT AN ENDING! I can’t believe it’s actually over 🥺
As my reviews left on the previous books, it’s no secret this series is one of my absolute favorites & will forever hold a place in my heart. With that being said, I WAS NOT READY!!! So the book starts right where the last books leaves us at & I really thought I had most of it figured out. I didn’t. Not at all. The twist & turns of this story is amazing & edge of your seat, I can’t stop reading until I have all the answers. The way the five of them became one in the book was beautiful & it was amazing seeing how much they all grew in their own ways. Everything came full circle & it was amazing seeing not only how strong the men were but how strong Alex became. The previous book touched lightly on M/M but hawwwwt dayyyymmmmn the scene in this book was so well done!! There is truly something beautiful between Bash & D. & I don’t think I’ve ever been happier when finding out who the father of the baby was. I really think it lead to such a beautiful ending. This series is one that I will reread & think about for awhile. I cannot wait to see what happens next with Drake. I have my fingers crossed that as the add on stories continue, we still get to watch Alex blossom into the queen we know she is.

This series was… interesting.

I didn’t love it. Each man had his own interesting background and yet I don’t feel that we really got to know all there was to any of then. It’s called a bully romance, but yet Alex was clearly very interested which I think is what made it a bit better.

Reasons I’d Recommend:

1) If you’re looking for a book that’s more smut than anything, this series is for you and

2) Mafia, violence, and secrets and

3) Lots of sex as Alex can’t choose between Luca, Marcello, Bastian, and Damian which leads to more questions about the criminal underworld they run and why they want Alex to be their queen (and why she doesn’t care that they are criminals)

I personally thought the story was interesting, but the backstory was more of a background for the sex scenes. These amazingly complex characters who are suffering from PTSD, child abuse, one who is literally a serial killer, and yet we never really get to delve into more of that background. I liked it, and I know a lot of people will love this series, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

This book was my least favorite of the series. It was all over the place and i couldn’t really follow at times because the transitions are extremely abrupt. I will still probably read the next book in the series once it comes out but also confused why it says it’s a stand alone.

This book starts where the last one ended with Alex have been kidnapped. The men are invited to her wedding with her with her new capture. The men have a plan though and that’s how they get her back, in the middle of the wedding to this new person the men attack and capture her back. After the book is all over the place so i can’t even remember everything that happened. They get married to make Alec untouchable, they consummate the marriage in front of the knights like they have been talking about for the last two books. They kill Bastian grandfather and find out that he’s the one who killed their parents. Other gangs are still after them and they aren’t safe. At the end of the book one of their men gets taken and they have to leave their baby moon early to go back to help out. Alex is pregnant with Lucas twins while her baby with Damien is back home with the nanny that their dad kind of likes.

ok the first book was amazing despite the wording being kinda cringe sometimes. The second book was good too, but it left u on a cliffhanger so I had to read the third. The third book, well it was weird.

The threesome with damian and bastian was reallllyy weird cause even though they’re not technically brothers, they mention so many times that they are Salvatores and that they are treated like brothers. I did not sign up for incest and the whole sexuality thing? even if they’re just gay for each other wtf????

I also hate that she can’t just pick one. It’s frankly annoying. I read plenty of polyamory, but this doesn’t feel like it. It feels like indecisiveness and it’s pathetic. I had to finish the book cause I’m like that, but there were many times I just wanted to stop because it was so bad.

Oh yeah and then legare which they hyped up so much was not really what I was expecting. The scene just wasn’t good and I skimmed through it.

AND DAMIAN REALLY!!!! no

Couldn’t put down the series because I needed to know what came next. Honestly, I got tired of the constant sex that deviated from the plot and running in circles of mood swings, kidnappings, and promises of “We will never let you get hurt” but then it happens again. Best part of the book was seeing Damian and Bash get it on and Damian becoming emotional. Marcello and Luca being possessive during sex got old really fast. Realistically, could a woman have 20 orgasms in one night? Probably with the right men but even I got exhausted reading all the times they went down on her. Sadly, I wanted to see more kinky stuff from the devils since it was mentioned in previous books but I guess it was forgotten or too lazy to be written? Bash and Dam are the best parts of the book, wanted to see more Aiden, Marcello became a second thought to everyone which was disappointing.

Completely Sinful Debauchery and I love It

These characters are so 🔥 they make me sweat.
Reasons to read this series
✔ Dark Mafia and slightly psychotic MMCs
✔ Villainous love treat her like a queen and would burn the world down to protect her
✔ Polyamorous relationship why choose when 4 men love you ..🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Really all four of these men devoted to Alex is beautiful..and hot as hell.
✔ One husband creates a birthing room another paints murals of perfection on baby rooms.
✔ suspense because when you are the Heir to a founding family everyone wants to steal you
Adding to my list of steam queens ..she now is tied with Sara Cate as #1 and number #3 for fave Mafia series behind Sophie Lark and RuNyx.
Cannot wait to see how this ends.

This one and the 2nd book are definitely my favourite from this series.
I enjoy the fact that we had a quick share of the traumatic childhood of each character, enough to appreciate the character development.
But I mostly loved the action, which was perfect… I wouldn’t have said no for more🤌🏾I usually crave the smut in books but now all I want is action, Damian and Marcello 😭💗.
In this book they made me forget all about their wrongs and savoured every moment of joy and love that they share all 5, I love how they are now all willing to show, express and share love and how they take good care of Alex.
(Don’t get me wrong I still resent the Luca, Marcello, Damian and Bastian from Book 1 😑 yet can’t help but feel compassion for them now that I red this)

Great ending?

I saw that there is another book after this labeled as a standalone so I'm not sure if this is the ending of if that one will be. Anyway this was a great book. The characters did a 360, went from 1 to 10 after what happened with alex . I waz really excited about the pregnancy aspect and enjoyed the ending of the book. My only complaint would be the time lines. I never knew how long something was happening for. Something of the events seemed to jump and some seemed to be in super slow mo. Although maybe that was just me feeling that way. If ur looking for an enemies to lovers dark secret society reverse harem, then this is the series for u.

too long of a series…

Honestly I feel like this series should have been one or maybe two books. This third one just made it seem like everything was being extended too long. Also, after two books of some of the MMC quirks they start to give me the ick (one has the nickname “cherry” for the FMC) and the unrealistic smutty part just became excessive (five plus O’s with every shmexy encounter). I found myself rolling my eyes and just reading/listening to be able to move on from this series. I probably could have DNFed this book but I have an issue with fomo when I DNF a book. I’m not even going to attempt to read the 4th and final book in the series.

To conclude, I think this whole series is a solid 3.75. I enjoyed the character arcs (particularly Alex and Luca’s relationship and all of Damien’s personal growth) but I honestly couldn’t get over the fact Alex was always such a damsel in distress. I found myself hoping she’d fight back (even just slightly) when she was in situations, rather than wait for her four knights to come save her; I wanted her to earn the title of Queen by being fierce. Regardless, I did enjoy her mental strength when it came to her PTSD and knowing her triggers and fighting her dissociative states.

Worth the Wait

Watching Alex claim her throne and her men was worth the wait! She is strong, powerful, & sexy as she takes her rightful place as their Queen. This RH is beyond hot and the story engrossed you at every turn. Her men would do anything for her and the way they love her and fill her is so unique that you can’t help fall in love with all of them. This was an amazing read and I can’t wait to read the next books that will focus on the Knights and other characters who we got to know through books 1-3. This book will not disappoint. Happy Reading!
