I don't know how we ended up in this mess. The Russians were gone, blown away like dust, but their fingerprints still smudged everything good and decent in the city of Boston. My family and I did our best to right their wrongs, but every step we took seemed to lead us nowhere.

I didn't have the time or the patience to deal with anything else. My loyalty to the Buchanans was a physical weight on my soul. Until she came along. Siobhan Murphy. She pieced together all the holes in my armor, forging me into a new man.

But new enemies have set their sights on our city, and now the life of a six year old boy hangs in the balance. I don't know if we'll survive the war, but I do know one thing. This time, we're taking the battle to them.

Avarice is the second book in The Buchanans series, and it tells the story of Liam Buchanan and Siobhan Murphy. Even though each book tells the story of a different couple, there’s an underlining storyline continuing throughout the series. I suggest reading the series in chronological order to fully understand all of the backstories.

Liam works for David Buchanan, the leader of the Irish mafia in Boston. He’s currently Alex’s, David’s wife’s, bodyguard. The story begins with Alex having an appointment at Avarice, one of David’s legitimate business ventures. While there, Liam meets Siobhan, who is working at the front desk. Liam falls hard and fast for Siobhan, but she is not initially impressed by him. However, things quickly change.

Avarice is a great story, and I had a hard time putting it down. It’s a definite add to your TBR list!
Now I’m looking forward to Wrath, the third book in the series, which is due out in June 2022.

Do you like tension and steam in your romance? This will have you on the edge of your seat and reaching for a cool drink while you fly through its pages. I loved book one, and sometimes book two in a series isn't as good, but this blew me out of the water. Great characters, witty banter, and hot scenes that might just make your Kindle give off a little smoke! The perfect hot, steamy mafia romance to light your inner fire.
