Balance #5

Demon Masks and Angel Wings

Rate this book
Michael, Angel of Protection, knew he had a part to play in the mating scheme dreamed up by Head Office, and was happy to accept that. But during a date with a demon that was finally going somewhere, they were rudely interrupted with the news that Lucifer was gravely injured. All Michael wanted to do at that point, was get back to Gabriel.

Orobas was back doing what he did best, playing in the theatre and occasionally going on interesting dates with the angel Michael. Reporting back to the Underworld was not on his list of things to do, but orders were orders.

Lucifer vulnerable? How could that happen, and where did the threat even come from? Michael is charged with protecting the Lord of the Underworld, but at what cost to him and Orobas? And is their relationship even important if Lucifer and Gabriel are taken down?

Mature content intended for adults only. While reading the previous books in the series helps give context for the background story for the reader, it's not entirely necessary.

really good

3.75 stars

I’m not sure how to explain this one, but I really enjoyed it. It was so different to the previous books (in fact most Lisa Oliver books) in that it wasn’t about them getting together but more about what happened after they got together, especially in terms of the over arching storyline of Lucifer’s injury.

I wasn’t sure about Orobas in the previous book, but I loved him here. He was so all in and just wanted to do whatever he could to get back to Michael. He didn’t blame him for his decision to do his job he just got on with trying to work out the best way back.

Michael was also a great character. He kept his word even at the detriment to his own self and mating. I loved that he took Orobas as he was and never tried to change him.

Looking forward to Gabriel and Lucifer’s book, even if it is the end of the series.

Scary situation in the Underworld

Archangel Michael and demon Orobos met each other in the previous book but started dating in this book. Just as things are getting very serious between them the demon is pulled back to the Underworld along with every other demon because Lucifer has been attacked and is in a coma. A very ancient being has taken over as the interim Lord. Things are suspicious but no one is strong enough to challenge the cruel interim. Gabriel sends Michael to protect Lucifer. It takes a lot of teamwork above and below plus the near deaths of Michael and Orobos to get to an HEA. Then the book ends with a tease for the final book in the series. I recommend the whole series and am on to read the next book.

Wow

It's all coming to tipping point as Michael finds his balance with demon mate and the lord of underworld is harmed we begin see why a balance between angels and demons is need. This was amazing wonderful love story but still has you wondering how will it all end with one pair left to close the gap.

MM.
Some one is after Lucifer, they have rendered him comatose, can The Angels and Demons work together, to keep their Happy Ever Afters and bring about the match of Lucifer and Gabriel?

Quite enjoyable and as good as books 1 and 2. Hopefully, the last in the series will prove a worthy ending.

3.4 stars for me! Bad editing, as usual, but the story was fun, despite Michael being a bit one-dimensional and boring. Orobas made more than up for it ...
