'OFF LIMITS' Is the first full length sports romance book in the series 'Rixon High', by L.A. Cotton. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' I can't wait for you to meet Lily Ford & Kaiden Thatcher.

𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹: http://bit.ly/BlurredLinesFREEBIE

“ℐ 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒾𝓃 ℴ𝓋ℯ𝓇 𝓂𝓎 𝒽ℯ𝒶𝒹. ℬ𝓊𝓉 𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓂ℴ𝓇ℯ 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉. ℐ 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒻𝒶𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝒽ℯ𝓇. ℒ𝒾𝓁𝓎 ℱℴ𝓇𝒹. 𝒯𝒽ℯ ℴ𝓃ℯ ℊ𝒾𝓇𝓁 𝒶𝓉 ℛ𝒾𝓍ℴ𝓃 ℋ𝒾ℊ𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 ℐ 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝓃ℴ 𝓇𝒾ℊ𝒽𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒾𝓃ℊ, 𝓁ℯ𝓉 𝒶𝓁ℴ𝓃ℯ 𝓉ℴ𝓊𝒸𝒽𝒾𝓃ℊ.”

These two were complete opposites, he was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks and she was the good girl wallflower. But get these two in close quarters and the air they breathed turned magnetic. You could feel it sizzling off the pages. These two made perfect sense and I was so glad I was along for the ride as I devoured all the words, all the feels.

This was such a sweet, swoony slow burn kind of book which got its hooks into me from the very first page. This was such a great start to what I can only imagine will be an unforgettable series. Already I'm craving the next book like something fierce.

Lily Ford was subjected to a traumatic experience which changed her life dramatically from the carefree girl to the wallflower who hid in the shadows to scared to try new things.

Kaiden Thatcher just wanted to play football, his one goal was to survive senior year at a new school, hopefully be offered a scholarship so he could leave this town and his father behind him. Kaiden was nothing like I was expecting but everything I was hoping for, he wasn't your typical jock, he had my heart all a flutter.

Off- Limts started with a good beginning. I was so looking forward for the second generation. Miss Cotton took a different writing style for this spin off series.

I found the story is only good at the beginning. Then it is disaster toward the seond half. The writing, the plot, the cheesy drama became too cheesy. I cringe in some part of the conversation. The writing is also choppy and stiff.

I am still giving it 3 stars just because I like the beginning of the book.

God, I don't know where to start with this review. L.A. Cotton has been recommended to me and I've added so many of her books to my TBR but this is the first one I have actually read and I'm an idiot. Because damn, that book was absolutely what I needed to read right now. I love new adult sports romance, and recently I've read a few books back to back that were just outside of my normal preferences. And while I've enjoyed it this felt like coming home.

I literally couldn't put it down and I didn't want to. Lily and Kaiden were awesome. They were so different and so perfect for each other I couldn't get enough of them. They each had their own issues, but who doesn't? And they dealt with it all so beautifully I forgot how young they were meant to be.

I really wish I had read the og series of the earlier generation because I feel like they were great characters. But I am really excited to think about the fact I just added a massive collection of books to my TBR. For now I can't wait to see all the characters I just met get their stories told because the hints all through this book and the glimpses into each of them has me dying to read them all right now.

Although the tease of Peyton and Xander at the end of this book has me wrapped up in knots with tears streaming down my face so we better be getting that one soon. Especially since it broke me out of my very happy Lily and Kaiden bubble.

“I didn’t want to shine. I wanted to stay in my safe little bubble where I knew what to expect”

Once again L.A. Cotton got to me with another of her beautiful story.

This is definitely the start of something amazing , If you loved the Rixon Raiders series , than you should get ready because these kids are definitely on their parents level if not higher .

First of all I loved seeing Jason, Cameron, Asher and all the others all grown up . And now that they have to deal and come to face with their teenagers kids it’s just to much . I simply loved it.

This story is about the sweet and shy Lily Ford , the daughter of the LEGENDARY Jason Ford.

She’s nothing like her father in his old days, she’s literally the opposite.

“I stared at myself in the mirror, wishing more than anything that I was someone else. But this wasn’t a fairytale and there was no fairy godmother coming to turn me into a princess”

She’s the shy , introvert , almost invisible girl. The one you wouldn’t notice unless you’re looking for her. She doesn’t like being on the spot light , not even a little .

And since the beginning you can se she’s not like the others . Lily is always fighting a battle with her head , who sometimes can became her worst enemy .

But now it’s senior year , her last chance to make some changes , to take some risks , and live a little .

“I didn’t want to be the shy, quiet girl afraid of her own shadow. More than anything, I wanted to step into the light and shine. But my mind was my own worst enemy, whispering things. Reminding me that I wasn’t like most teenagers”

Kaiden Thatcher , the classic football star, the hot guy. And now he find himself in enemy territory , playing for a team he hate and a coach who’s past is tangled with his father’s and not in the best way.

And if that’s not enough , he made all even more worse.

He saw her , a dare put him closer to her and then there was no way back .

He surely didn’t saw it coming , but he couldn’t help noticing Lily ford , sweet , beautiful and the coach’s daughter .

So Off-Limits.

“He’s Kaiden Thatcher and I’m Lily Ford. We might as well be Romeo and Juliet”

But you can’t control your feelings , once you find your soulmate you’re done with.

There’s no way out.

The passion and the chemistry between Lily and Kaiden was like fireworks on first of July: just Magic.

“Her laughter sank into me , fisting my heart again. This girl…this complicated beautiful girl.

I was falling for her.

Headfirst, irrevocably falling “

I gave this book 362834538 stars

I hope you’ll enjoy it like I did.

Off Limits is the first book in the new Rixon High Series. It's a next generation spin off series of the Rixon Raiders but can be read as a standalone.

Is it weird that reading this book felt like coming home. It's no secret that I am utterly obsessed with the Rixon Raiders series & when I heard there was going to be a spin off series I squealed & fangirled so hard and starting the series with Jason Ford's daughter is just *chef's kiss*.

Lily Ford is a wallflower. Quiet, sweet, shy on the outside but dealing with a lot on the inside. There is a reason she is the way she is but she is pushing & trying to get some direction in her life even if it scares her. She is a lot stronger than she thinks. I loved her so much & commend her for not giving up and for going after what she wants at her own pace. Her decisions don't always make sense & we're frustrating but she stayed true to herself throughout her story.

Kaiden Thatcher was a mystery to begin with. Thrust into a new school fighting to prove her deserves a fair shot, on the team and in life in general. He was often misjudged due to his family. He was determined, patient, kind & thoughtful though he still had his fair share of dumb teenage boy moments but he was still a worthy & loveable character.

I loved how Lily & Kaiden's story played out though there was a moment or two where the high school drama was a little too much for me, it really showed me that I may be getting a little too old for this type of story but I can't help but be addicted to the Rixon world so will gladly keep reading anything attached to it.

Watching the OG Rixon's as parents is without a doubt fhe greatest thing ever. I love how much they care about their kids & how their characters haven't changed just becuase they are older. They are all still the same amazing people I've grown to love. The lead in to Book 2 of this series has me both nervous and excited and I can't wait to see what comes next in the world of Rixon.

Re-read with audiobook.

This is the first book in a new series but it’s the children’s of the original romances that walked the halls. We have football, we have angst and we have heated chemistry. This ticked all my boxes and I love the way you get an inside joke with the parents.

Jason Ford was the quarterback. He went all the way in his career and now he’s back at Rixon High coaching the football team. His daughter, Lily isn’t the confident type. She’s a wallflower and stays away from the attention. She’s nothing like her father but still has his charm.

When the rival schools is damaged in a fire a new set of students are transferred to Rixon High. Kaiden is the son of one of Jason rivals. He wants to prove himself on the field so he can get a college scholarship. He won’t be easily accepted into Rixon but can he find his place?

Lily is the coaches daughter. She should be off limits but theirs something about her Kaiden can’t resist.

This was actually quite sweet. It had great chemistry and I loved being back in this world.

Play hard. Fight hard. Love hard. Oh my teenage first-romance loving heart is just SO happy to be back in the world of the Rixon Raiders. LA Cotton’s emotional, angsty, young adult sports romance is some of my absolute favorites in the genre. The original Rixon Raiders series is one I adore, but this next generation series has set the bar even higher- I am already so obsessed with these almost-adult Rixon babies and all their young love drama.

If you are new to the series, never you fear- you can dive in right here without having read the OG series. But, fans of the original Rixon raiders will be delighted that this is the story of Jason and Felicity’s daughter Lily- and her romance with Kaiden Thatcher, the son of Jason’s high school nemesis and now aspiring quarterback of the Rixon team. This story has all the markings of what I love about young love stories-sweet connections, hesitant and intense firsts, high school drama, overpowering first love emotions, and a powerful chemistry beyond the years of our cast. While the architecture of this story may feel familiar, LA brings something extra special to this story that really sets it apart- and not only with the Romeo and Juliet vibes of their date’s animosity. We also get the forbidden touch since Kaiden is on her dad’s football team and we have the compelling dynamic of Kaiden and Lily’s personal baggage- Kaiden’s anger issues and challenging relationship with his father and Lily’s at times debilitating anxiety issues.

I could not love Lily more. Who doesn’t love a character arc where the gentled, insecure wallflower finds her voice?! I loved her sweet and loving heart- and I loved her emotional vulnerability as a heroine. She’s quiet- but she’s not meek. Her strength comes from her resilience. She’s so brave and beautiful. And Kaiden- he’s so entrancing. He’s more than your classic hotshot athlete who falls for the pretty, nerdy girl- he’s got a lot of substance, a tender and wounded heart, and a refreshing openness. And while he makes some teenage mistakes, the way he loves and supports Lily just squished my whole heart.

Together, these two are SO sweet and swoony. There is an immediate emotional intimacy between them- a sweet and sincere connection that feels bright and fresh amidst all the hormonal drama around them. Lily gives Kaiden a quiet strength- she centers him, quiets the noise in his life. She sees him for his heart. And Kaiden helps Lily embrace herself- gives her strength to step out of her sheltered bubble. LA tells both of their stories with such compassion, especially Lily’s anxiety, and I loved watching them both grow up and mature- and doing so because of the way they brought out the best in each other. JUST ADORABLE.

I am so in love with this cast of characters- I’m dying for ALL of their stories. The friendships are just as vividly and compellingly created- the girl gang in particular is just so fantastic. IN the way their parents are best friends and family, we see this group of teenages lean on and care for each other- friendships that are more like family.

What a fantastic debut to this next series- that somehow both evokes all my nostalgic fondness for the original series while also establishing its own fresh point of view. The next generation is going to be more complicated, more angsty, and even more emotional- and I am here for all of it. We get tons of hints about couples to come. And Peyton’s book- I AM DYING FOR IT!

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

tw// anxiety, abuse, addiction, suicide

It’s been a rough month for me so I completely forgot I signed up for an ARC.. so when I found it on Sunday in my kindle (I haven’t refreshed it in ages that’s why) I panicked that I wouldn’t finish on time for the release, but.. this story, this book, it was so good that I legit finished it in one sitting.

I’ll be honest that when I dived into the book, I got worried that we will get the same old cliché story of an asshole treating a shy girl as a doormat, but let me tell you: I was so WRONG. I don’t know how Cotton does it, but she yet again came with an incredible story that just hooked me on from the first few chapters.

Lily is so far my fav character of this author, and of both the series. I find her incredibly brave and it was so great to experience the long path she had to take to become more herself. My heart was breaking for her over and over, I mean when I got to read her story I cried. The awful event affected her in so many ways yet I admired her for going to school everyday. Her mental health was explained and written so perfectly, and I thank the author for including this and taking time to write it.

Getting to know Kaiden was mind blowing to me, because I really thought he would be.. something like Jason maybe. However, I got him so wrong. He was a sweetheart and he won my heart from the very first moment. The way he treated people close to him? Perfect. The way he treated Lily? Give him an award for the best book boyfriend. He had to fight his own battles and it was incredible to see him opening up throughout the story.

Their relationship was beautiful. The connection was there from the very first moment when Kaiden laid his eyes on Lily. I loved how it wasn’t easy for them for the majority of the time yet they dealt with their issues like adults, and god.. really their love story was so adorable, I’m tearing up just thinking about it again. They were made for each other. It was a perfect start of this series and, I’m afraid, no one will step between KaidenLily and my love for them.

What also added to this story were the side characters. Not only we get to see the first generation from Rixon, but the friends of the main couple were so great addition. My personal favourite was Bryan whom added spark to the story with his jokes - he made me laugh several times. The author yet again came up with a perfect friends group we’ll all be obsessing over now. I cannot wait to read more of this series and find out more about the rest of them.

NOW AVAILABLE

"She was Coach Ford's daughter. Off-limits."

What a lovely start to a new series that are exploring Rixon High's new generation's adventures!!!
I loved the original Rixon Raider's series and I'm pretty sure that the spin-off series, will become a new favorite.
I'm already craving the next book in the series and I can not wait to see what Lianne has in store for us!!!

"When you were broken inside, you filled the cracks of your soul with half-truths and empty promises, stitching yourself together just enough that those around you wouldn't notice unless they looked closely enough. Until the lies became real.. and the facade became impenetrable."

If you already have read the previous series, you know who Jason Ford is. If you haven't, no worries, you will learn his new role as a father and Rixon's coach in here.
I had adored Jase and Felicity back then and I had adore the rest of their crew and I won't hide to you that it seemed a little bit weird to see them all grown up and into parenthood, but ... I liked it!!!
And I liked that I got to meet their amazing kids who are about to spread their wings and fly...
And the beginning had happened with Lily Ford.

"It was senior year. My last year of high school. Did I want to spend it hiding in the shadows?"

Lily was always the good and shy girl... The wallflower. After something very ugly that had happened to her in the past, she just folded to herself and she stopped being a kid at her age.
Lily just wants to survive her senior year and to be left alone and in peace.
What she hasn't expected was the bad boy from the other side of the river to step into the school and swept her upon her feet....

"I didn't want to be the shy, quiet girl afraid of her own shadow. More than anything, I wanted to step into the light and shine. But my mind was my own worst enemy."

Kaiden was eager for his last year of school and he had set up his goals to land a football scholarship on Alabama State Uni. What he wasn't expecting was for his school to be ruined and that he would been forced to go to the rival school to finish his senior year.
In enemy territory, it was really hard to prove himself and his ability on football and it doesn't help the fact that his sight had fell upon Lily Ford, the coach's daughter. And all of the above reasons are making Lily off-limits for someone like him.

"Football was everything to me. Every-fucking-thing. It was my ticket out of Rixon. Away from my family. The pressure. The constant shadow of my father. It was my shot at freedom."

Seven minutes in heaven on a boat shed and one kiss later are bringing Lily and Kaiden closer and the fire between them is waking up and it is ready to burn everything down...
She is off limits.
He is the wrong choice.
But these two are starting to feel something that they never felt before....
Can they stay away from each other when everything that they have work for are about to burn in the flames along them???

"It was fucking terrifying. To feel so much for a girl who had the power to ruin you."

"Don't ever break my heart, Kaiden. I'm not sure I would survive it."

I loved Lily so much. She wasn't just shy, she was damaged and when I heard her story, my heart was breaking for her... She is also very sheltered by her parents, but until recently, she was craving freedom.
But when Kaiden stepped into their school and her life, something changed inside of her...
I liked Kaiden's Lily. The girl that she was becoming in his presence. He had the ability to make her fight for the things that should be hers from the beginning...

"He made me feel brave and special and beautiful. He made me want to step out of my little safe bubble and take risks..."

Unfortunately for Kaiden, his father and his coach were rivals since they were on highschool themselves. Add to that, that he was kind of an intruder to a school that nobody wanted him there and you will understand how difficult things were for him. And upon all this, he started to feel something for Lily Ford, a girl forbidden to him...
But Kaiden was kind of misunderstood. I didn't see a bad boy... I saw a very good and kind person with so much depth!!! He was so caring and attentive with Lily. Almost a romantic!!! And he hadn't a great life himself!!!

"I was falling for her. Lily Ford. The one girl at Rixon High that I had no right wanting."

These two were fitting perfectly together. They were so opposite between them, but there was balance in their differences. Together were like different person and they had a great connection...
This was a beautiful and romantic ride that I will hold close to my heart. A slow burn of epic proportions and honestly, I can not wait for more of this crew.
Imagine how wild will be Peyton and Xander's ride!!!

"Life didn't test us to reveal our weaknesses, it tested us to reveal our strengths."

4.5 stars!

I am so incredibly happy to be back in this Rixon world, now a couple of decades later with the
next generation of Rixon Raiders. Rixon High is the spin off series from LA Cotton about the children from the original series, and I have been ready to dive back into this world since the previous series ended. Off Limits is the story of Lily Ford, Jason’s daughter, and Kaiden Thatcher, Jason’s high school arch-rival’s son, and it’s a tale of forbidden love, almost like Romeo and Juliet.

When Kaiden’s high school burns down his senior year, all the students are sent to neighbouring high schools, and the football team is sent to their rivals Rixon High. Kaiden is a quarterback and needs to impress the scouts this year to gain a scholarship, as he desperately wants to escape his hometown, but now he has to prove he should be the starting player for Rixon High, as well as impress their coach, Jason Ford. Lily has always been happy to blend into the background, living her life in the shadows of her siblings and friends, living with bad anxiety after a traumatic event in middle school. But when she meets Kaiden at a party, they have this instant bond, and she begins to feel things she never has before. Except Kaiden doesn’t know who her dad is, and when he finds out, will their relationship be over before it starts? But are there others who also don’t want these two to become a couple?

Kaiden and Lily clicked so well, I loved their relationship, how Lily calmed everything down in Kaiden’s life, allowing him to shed the pressure and stress of his football life and potential future to just be with her, and in exchange he pushed her out of her comfort zone, showing her it was okay to live, and he’d always be there to catch her if she fell. Lily’s anxiety was so well written by Lianne, I thought it was realistic and emotional. I thought Lianne showed how living with a mental health disorder incredibly sensitively and how at time, you are your own worst enemy, but with love and support from those closest to you, some days will be better than others.

Kaiden was being pulled in so many directions, his desire to leave Rixon and his abusive home life behind and never look back, proving his teammates at Rixon High wrong, but then Lily came into his life and made him reassess everything he wanted. I felt for him hard, he was trying to keep it all together when it would’ve been easier to just let it all fall apart, but everything he did in the end was to protect Lily. Lily wanted to break out of her comfort zone, but there were too many factors telling her no, until Kaiden came a long and held her hand through it, proving to herself she could do whatever she set her mind to. I thought her growth in this book was beautiful, going from a shy introverted girl to a young woman with a growing confidence.

The relationships between the three original family’s, the Ford’s, the Bennet’s and the Chase's were such integral parts of this plot and I loved seeing the dynamic between all of the offspring, guessing about any future couples that were hinted at. Daddy Jason was everything I wanted him to be, he was protective and grumpy, but when it came down to it, he’d do anything to make sure his little girl was happy, even accepting her boyfriend. Kaiden’s friendships with his teammates, new and old, were great, but it was Lily’s with her sister, her cousins and close friends that were one of my favourite things, those girls were there for her whenever she needed them, such an unbreakable bond.

Lianne has set up this next generation world so perfectly, all of the hints and implications as to who the rest of the books could be about have been carefully placed, and after the bombshell ending, I am going to need Peyton’s book as soon as possible. A welcome return to Rixon in Off Limits, can’t wait to come back soon!

A high school forbidden romance story.

Meet Kaiden and Lily polar opposites but attracted to each other from the very start.

Read them trying to resist each while tackling mental health, bullies and trying to fit into high school.

I loved the slow burn and angst with the couple.

I loved reading about the character development.

This is only book 1 in the series and im excited to read the rest.

Off-Limits (Rixon High #1) by L.A. Cotton

5 MINDBLOWING STARS

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

OFF LIMITS is the first book in the new series Rixon High by author L.A Cotton. It is a sports romance, written in dual POV.
Rixon High series is the Next Rixon Raiders Generation.

Rixon Raiders is one of my all-time favorite series. I waited for so long to be back in this world.
Jason and Flick were my favorite couple, so imagine my surprise and happiness to see, this first book was about Lily, Jason, and Flick's daughter, Lily being the complete opposite of Jason.

Lily is sweet, innocent, insecure, vulnerable, but brave and beautiful. Lily had a bad experience in the past, but she is strong and with the help of her family, friends, and Kaiden, she will become stronger and get past that.

Kaiden Thatcher is the son of Jason's high school enemy and wants to be the new QB of the Rixon Raiders team. Kaiden was Lily's biggest supporter and the main reason Lily got stronger.

Although Lily and Kaiden were the complete opposite of each other, they complete each other perfectly. The friendship between all of the characters was beyond perfect. They protect and care for each other.

This book is the perfect debut for what will most certainly be an epic and incredible series.

As usual, L. A Cotton provides what she promises and so much more.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

Okay, how I never knew about the Rixon boys I will never understand. This book was the perfect way to kick off this new series! The connection between Lily & Kaiden is INSANE. This is more of an instant connection with a very quickly escalating plot. I honestly appreciated that because there was no real slow burn or super angsty moments with these two. It was honest and in my opinion a true show of soulmates. There are some aspects in the writing that are a little juvenile if you will, but this is set in a senior year of high school environment. Overall I just wanted to cherish every moment with Lily & Kaiden. This is a secret/forbidden love due to the circumstances of how they meet & what they want for their futures (I don't wanna spoil too much). Not only do you get amazing growth for their relationship but we learn a lot about their friends as well. I was super excited with how this book ended because I immediately was ready to read book 2 (not released yet). The spice in this book was great as well. Not overly done but good enough to really reflect a high school relationship. I LOVED IT.

Off-Limits is the first full length novel for the Rixon Raiders next generation. This book is about Jason and Fee‘s daughter Lily and Lewis Thatchers son Kaiden. This one has written chaos all over it!

Lily is shy wallflower since she has experienced some awful things prior to starting high school.
When Rixon East High burns down, Rixon High is forced to take on some of the students including Kaiden Thatcher the star quaterback of their football team.
Kaiden and Lily hit it off instantly but there were alot of obsticals put in their way.

I really enjoyed their story! It was sweet, angsty and it seriously tugged in your heart strings. L.A. Cotton is an amazing high school romance writer and she already gave us alot of insight into the next characters and what to expect from them!

I had no idea where Lianne would take this series. Obviously my expectations were high because I love this world and the Rixon Raiders were my introduction to L A Cotton so they have a special place in my heart. Having said that Lianne totally blew my mind with this story! It was just so freaking cute and emotional!!

Thatcher had my heart from the beginning. I hated that he had such a bad home life and that he was judged based on the things his father did in the past. My heart hurt for him and how he was struggling with everything, including fitting in with the Rixon Raiders.

Lily, oh the poor girl had my heart too. She was still dealing with the repercussions of a traumatic event, one that completely affected her life ever since. But she wanted to take the reigns over her life and not let what happened to her stop her from truly living. I love her, her courage and big heart. The girl was incredible. I love seeing Jason as a dad omg. He’s my fav so far! He was already incredible as a coach in the intro novella but seeing him being a father, especially when his daughter falls in love with the son of a past enemy? Yeah, he was pretty amazing.

Once again, it’s impossible not to fall a little in love with the side characters. Lianne writes some of the best friends groups ever and I always want everyone to get a book right off the bat, especially with the hints and bits she gives us of certain characters! And darn with that snippet at the end for the next book, I’m already dying for it!! It’s gonna be much more emotional than this one and I’m here for it.

An angsty and swoony opposites attract sports romance that gives all the feels.
.
This was an intriguing read for me learning about what Lily goes through. I had no idea that what her trauma manifested into was a thing, so that was a great thing to learn. I’ve been going through my own mental health journey so learning what other things it can trigger or manifest into is intriguing to me. For the longest time I didn’t think there was anything wrong with me but the past couple years has been a major learning curve and personal growth.
.
Something our characters learn. Both going through their own obstacles but what I loved was watching Lily grow. maiden definitely gave her that courage and determination throughout as well as learning that she is stronger than what she gave herself credit for. Lily gives Kaiden something he didn’t realise he was missing and I enjoyed watching him learn that there was more to life then just escaping demons and that it’s ok to have goals but there’s no harm in letting other life experiences happen and embrace them.
.
Both were on an incredible journey and it was just the read I needed after a lot of heavy emotional reads as of late. It was angsty without having been drowning in it and it had some drama, sweet tender moments and a family dynamic I love reading about in books. Definitely an enjoyable read and I can’t wait for book 2.

I was really excited when I heard a second generation of the Raiders was coming, but I was also a little nervous that it wouldn't live up to the original series. But if Off-Limits is any indication this series will be just as amazing, if not better!

Lily & Kaiden's story was absolutely addicting, and I read it in one sitting. I loved everything about this book and just couldn't put it down! The perfect mashup of tropes come together into one seamless storyline, that never seems to drag or be over the top. The pull between these two is palpable, and I found myself rooting for them from the very first glance. The character development is amazing throughout, the drama perfectly balanced, and the seeds planted for what's to come in this series.

And while you don't have to read the first generation series to enjoy this one (but I HIGHLY recommend it!) it's really nice seeing the parallels between Lily + Kaiden's story with that of Jase + Felicity's. This book is definitely a treat for previous readers and an amazing introduction for new ones, and I'm so excited to see where the rest of the series takes us!

„Let me be your shield.”

If Romeo and Juliet would have a happy ending, their book would be Off-Limits! Holy mother of everything angsty, this story put my heart through an emotional ringer, but it was so worth it. When L.A. announced that there will be a second generation series after Rixon Raiders, I couldn't contain my excitement, because that series is so deep under my skin. And the first book in Rixon High is simply phenomenal. So moving and breathtaking! High school drama, teenage problems, family issues, first loves, wonderful friendships- this book has it all and so much more!

I love that Kaiden isn't your typical jock. This boy is caring, loyal and totally swoon-worthy. Lily was such a sweetheart. The complete opposite of what I expected from Jason Ford's offspring, for sure! She's so delicate and introverted, although we cannot deny her inner strength.

These two brought me to my knees. Their forbidden feelings were so palpable, so pure and heartbreakingly beautiful. Their road to happily ever after was long and rough, but worth every single bump along the way. Kaiden and Lily’s romance is spectacular!

I can't finish this review without mentioning the original Raiders! Those 3 daddies are simply divine. Jason, Cam and Asher only confirmed that they're worth having a place in my heart (and my dirty thoughts, haha)

LA. Cotton did an amazing job with this story. It's emotionally-charged, angsty and nothing short of incredible! This is the book that will give you all the feels. I can't wait to read more in this series. GO RAIDERS!!

Alpha read.

I’ve read almost all of l.a. cotton’s books, but Off Limits just might be my favourite. I was excited to get to know the second generation, after falling in love with their dads in the Rixon Raiders series.

Lily & Kaiden’s story was EVERYTHING it was emotional, heartbreaking & full of swoony worthy moments. Lianne brings all the FEELs with these two, page after page you are just waiting for that moment, where their secret is discovered.

Now Jason Ford as a dad *swoon* he did have the odd moment, where I really wanted to shake him. But he came good in the end.

I’m excited for all the books in this series, but especially the next one...🤐 because oh boy it’s going to be an emotional one.
