Soul Mate for Christmas: Taboo Soulmates

Rate this book
*This story takes place in a non-Covid 2021*

Mae Stevens
Mae wasn't prepared for the horrible betrayal she experienced on Christmas Eve. She also didn't expect to meet the man who would change her life because of it. Is there truly such a thing as soul mates? And is she willing to allow herself to find out?
Caspian Ellison
Cas has been plagued by a meddling mother who insists on picking the 'right' woman for him. The only problem is none of them interest him. On a night where both he and Mae would've been home with their loved ones, they find themselves meeting in a cafe and their lives are changed forever.
Is there really such a thing as soul mates?
If there is, someone needs to tell Cas's mother because she doesn't approve of the partners either of her sons' believe are their soul mates!

This book contains coarse language and hot sex. For mature audiences only!
*** Mae is a married woman so some may be offended by her actions, I’ve been told.***

Best book ever - Mae and Caspian

Loved this book! It was so vivid and in technicolor playing out before your eyes. The author made sure the reader saw the whole picture, the dynamics of each character, each scene.
Mae’s mother was despicable and a sorry excuse for a mother or a human being! Her ex husband even worse than scum under your feet. But Cas….the Superman of hero’s and his family made up for Mae’s loss. Mae’s brother, AJ, was by her side and on her side, even against their mother.

Needed a more on the conflict

This was truly a great storyline. However the resolutions for the conflicts were not satisfying. I can't go into details because it could spoil the storyline.😏😏

Great story

I really liked this story. I love how his mom stood up to her skanky mom. I was initially surprised at who was cheating with who,but the ending was worth it. Had minor editing needed.

Book 2

This is book 2 in the “Taboo Soulmates” series by Cali N. Tae. Each book is a standalone story only sharing the “taboo soulmates” tag. Honestly, I don’t know what makes these stories “taboo”.

This is an almost insta-love story about two strangers who meet on Christmas Eve. There is soap-opera level drama in both families, but the main characters hit it off right away and never falter in their commitment or feelings. My biggest complaint of the book was the author’s over use of exclamation marks. No one speaks in exclamation that much. No one!

Two strangers take to each other during the holidays at a distressing time in their lives. The author does a tremendous job of making you care for all of the characters. If there is a negative it would be the amount of time the kids spent playing games. They never cracked a book or anything else. They were props.

emotional basket case

I say that because I couldn’t read fast enough. You go thru so many emotions and feel it. He character jump right up at you. Love comes in all forms when you least expect it. Mae’s mom and sister are a joke. Her ex wasn’t shit but then again his name was Sikai and the first three letters of his name spell Sik😇

Great Book

Fast paced great Read. When true love and fate come together you’ll finally find happiness. Great book and the storyline was spectacular. The drama never once overshadowed the Hero and Heroine love.

Mae and Cas

I am all for instalove.. when you know you know. Now why Mae's mother hated her or shall I say was so jealous of her I wish we got more into that, but this was a beautiful story either way. I loved the Merrill family and Cas is it for me. Definitely worth the read

Nice

I thought it was gonna be short but it was worth it! Cas was open about his feelings. It took Mae a little longer but they finally got it together. Her mother and sister were horrible. So was her ex-husband! Ugh! I'm glad that she got her HEA!

4.0⭐️ I did read the content warnings carefully, and they did give me pause. BUT I was curious, and with some trepidation, I decided to read the book and reserve judgment until I had finished reading it.

Color me very, very surprised because I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Mae and Caspian are the focus of the book. They are charming, appealing and extremely sympathetic characters. Similarly, many of the cast of characters, in their own way, also make significant and positive impressions.

Taking everything into account, I’m extremely glad I took a chance on this book because it was worth it. To my utter surprise, this book spoke to me in ways I couldn’t have envisioned. It’s fascinating and immensely compelling.

NB: A few editing issues noted.
