Of the Bound Hearts books I've read so far, this one has had the most complete, well-rounded story, but it wasn't my favorite couple. I liked Kimber and Jared enough, but I've liked other characters better.
In this book, Kimberly Madison is the daughter of an uptight politician. In order to gain an inheritance from her mother, she must remain a virgin until she marries a man approved of by her father. To enforce this, her father makes her submit to physical examinations by doctor 4 times a year. To fight back and assuage her sexuality, Kimber gets admitted to The Club and indulges her needs in ways that won't take her virginity. Jared Raddington has been chasing Kimber for a year. He wants her, but her father doesn't approve of him or his lifestyle (as a member of the club). And despite what she feels for him, Kimber is determined to meet the rules of her inheritance. When a situation throws them together, they can't fight their feelings any longer, and Kimber comes to realize that love is more important than anything.
Like I said earlier, this book has the most complete storyline. It's not just about the characters sexuality or the male trying to convince the female to let go sexually. This book has a base story that gives it more depth and makes it more interesting. Plus, it's a bit unique so that's nice.
Sexually it may be just a smidge tamer than some of the other books. It doesn't seem to quite go as all out as some of the others, but it's still very, very HOT. I was disappointed, though, that Leigh didn't write a second scene with Ian since the first one had him in a limited role. I would have liked having another scene where there were no boundaries.
But overall, a great addition to the series and one I enjoyed reading. I can't wait to get started on the next book (though it'll have to wait a few days while I read the new Suz Brockmann book).

This story had a different spin on the others in the series because Kimberly was a virgin and had to remain this way to gain her inheritance. So what does a naughty girl do when she has to remain a virgin??? She lets her men plow the back curves that's what she does.
So if you are squeamish about anal DO NOT READ THIS BOOK - but if you have already read Lora Leigh you will know that she likes to write about anal - but this book had a whole heap of ass.

Resultó muy interesante de leer xq, aunq el contexto del Club privado de caballeros con preferencias particulares sigue ahí, y aunq nos encontramos con el cliché más usual en este tipo de tramas, estamos con una historia q quiso ser algo más y, por lo menos para mí, lo consiguió.
Jared&Kimber son hermanastros y desde jóvenes se sintieron fuertemente atraídos. Pero x disposición testamentaria de la mamá de ella, Kimber debe permanecer virgen para no perder la casa ancestral en favor de su papá, con quien mantiene una guerra abierta xq a él no le gusta Jared (lo considera pervertido)
Con eso tenemos tires y aflojes bastante interesantes, además de ser Kimber la primera mujer miembro del Club Troyano, y sí leyeron bien, una virgen en un Club de gente q le gusta tener sexo comunitario...díganme si no te pica la curiosidad.
Hay buen sexo, pero no termina siendo el tema principal y Kimber no es que se escapa de Jared x temor a su sexualidad, sino xq no quiere dejar ganar a papi, así q x ahí tenemos variaciones del tema original q se aprovechan bien y hacen entretenida la lectura.

El amor que se tienen Kimberly y Jared salta de las páginas, es algo muy fuerte de sentir, realmente. Creo que nunca había visto una pareja tan romántica y caliente a la vez, son un gran espectáculo.
Obviamente, todo lo que rodea su situación es un drama total hasta casi el final de la historia, pero de todas maneras la forma en que la autora plasma sus sentimientos y la relación que tienen hacen que uno se dé cuenta desde el principio de lo fuerte que puede ser el amor cuando es profundo y verdadero.
Jared es de esos hombres que estoy segura que sería imposible encontrar en la realidad, aúna muchas cualidades demasiado buenas para ser realistas, aunque dentro de estas páginas es perfecto.
En cuanto a Kimberly, realmente hubiera querido que se decidiera antes a dar el gran paso, pero es que Lora quería que sufriéramos, así que teniendo la tardanza.
Probablemente este sea uno de los libros de la serie que más recuerde al final. Y por supuesto está más que recomendado.

The plot is great. I like how the author portrays the woman's virginity in a rich family. The book explains how desires, passions and the reward of finding true love are more important than money and heritage specially when parents use a child to hurt each other.

Lo mejor de este libro es que era muy cortito y se ha leido enseguida... por lo demas odio al padre de Kimberley y no puedo con el... creo que me ha decepcionado el final por eso

THE STORY: Kimberly Madison has been hiding from her feelings for Jared Raddington for a year. The two are techically step-siblings, but since their parents married when they were adults, they did not grow up together. Kimberly's father, however, seriously disapproves of Jared and the sexual lifestyle he leads which includes menages and other extreme sexual activities. Kimberly's inheritance requires her to be a virgin and she is subjected to regular exams to confirm her virginity. Kimberly has no intention of getting involved with Jared when she knows that they have no future. Jared has wanted Kimberly for a long time and is done with waiting.
OPINION: This book is one of the most sexually adventurous of the series and includes Kimberly having sex with another man opening the book and includes the almost required menage. The story is frank and explicit and focuses on the sexual relationship. Because "typical" sex is off limits, this leads to more creative sexual experiences. It also leads the characters to talk more and develop their relationship in different ways. My complaint is that the situation itself felt somewhat contrived with too many obstacles in the couple's path. I did like the resolution to the problem and felt that it really showed more character development than I had expected.
WORTH MENTIONING: The book opens with the heroine having sex with a man NOT the hero and also contains a MMF menage.
CONNECTED BOOKS: SACRIFICE is the fifth book in the Bound Hearts series. It can be read as a standalone.

This is way different from the previous books in this series, because it focuses more on the love story than the hardcore sex. I don't mind the sex especially if it's intimate; her other novels overwhelmed me because they're all about kinky stuff and domination, sex as everyday communication to express what they're really feeling. The threesome here was mild compared with the previous books and the sex was more intimate.
The sex here is just right, the trademark tension buildup really worked. I liked the characters and in such a short novel, we really get to know the characters, what bothers them, how they cope with life, and how they developed. I was really touched by Jared's willingness to wait for 5 years, but as I read it I was shaking my head because that seems like an eternity for someone who've been yearning for the other for a year.

Sexy story but premise is strange. Kimberly and Jared want each other but her parents have made some strange provision in her mother's will that Kimberly would be chaste and a virgin for 5 years into her adulthood in order for her to inherit her mother's estate. So she does other things in order to remain a "virgin." Now, obviously, you don't want your teenager to get pregnant or get STDs so reasonable, typical parents can recommend that their kids either wait until they're 18 or until they're married in order to become sexually active. But only a parent with control issues would DEMAND that their ADULT child abstain from sex. I find that odd. Also, Kimberly is required to "pass" a doctor's "virginity" exam every 3 months and pass the results to her parents, and in the real world, that would be an infringement upon HIPAA laws.

I didn't like this one as much, but I can't put my finger on why. Maybe I just didn't get the connection between "she can't lose her virginity" and the threesome. I mean the threesome is a given in this series, of course. Maybe my problem with this one is that it's not like this girl had a problem with her sexuality or misunderstanding/resisting her urges. She was staying a virgin for a singular, understood reason. It's not that she was denying herself just because she couldn't comprehend her desires. So the whole "we'll have a threesome so you can totally give up control" thing that's prevalent in this series just didn't work with this scenario for me.
I have to admit, I choked up a bit at the end. If you read it, you'll know why, but I'm not spoiling anything here. :-)

Once again Lora Leigh has amazed me. This book seemed to have so much more emotion than the earlier books in this series. I loved the spirit shown in Kimber & the raw emotion shown in Jared. Their chemistry was sizzling hot along with Jareds body!!! The plot kept twisting making me desperate to keep turning the pages! The relationship between Kimber & her father was enticing too! I still don't know if I hate him or if in the end he grasped my heart??? I can't leave out her mother though, she was also a handful dead & alive! Definitely worth the read!!!

God, these books are rather annoying. But something about them has dragged me in and I'm not even into the whole threesome thing. Or needing pain to get off.
A few things that bug me and will continue to bug me as I attempt to finish this series.
1.) The guys are constantly hard. Really? REALLY?!
2.) The women are always instantly, for a lack of a better word, wet. Again I say: REALLY?!
3.) The typical sexual terms: nectar, honey, etc. Sigh. Sometimes the ridiculous terms get in the way of the story and it's really, really distracting.

Well this is the story of Kimberly, who we have met before in some of the other bound hearts books: the girl who goes to the club for a little anal to let off some steam, and Jared who has loved Kimberly from afar...but no more. Kimberly has to stay a virgin in order to inherit the legacy passed to her as the first born daughter. Her dilemma: does she hold off only satisfying an edge of her sexuality for five more years to fulfill the legacy or give it up to grab onto the love and life that Jared can give her. And if there is a "club" like this for real somebody give me directions PLEASE!

The story of why she has to remain a virgin is too twisted to be real, to say the least and the story with her dad, I mean... he makes your life miserable and then its like, yeah, we´re all good. Not likely.
Jared is okay, tipical Alpha male like the previous ones, so it´s an entertaining book.
The bound hearts books are eveloping from short sexy reads into longer books with a longer story behind them... though the stories are not as great as they should be.

You may have noticed a bit of a formula repeating throughout LL's books ... if so this onewill not disappoint you.
This one goes like ...
He loves her.
He discovers a sordid secret about her he didn't know.

She gives in after the necessary internal struggle.
Oh ... there's a bit of sex in there somewhere too.
Of all the LL books in this series this one has given the most of the relationship between the characters rather than the action scenes.

Descent read, more storyline involved in this book than previous, but the storyline could hae been better. Jared & Kimberly were hot. The love story between them was developed and emphasized more. Lora Leigh does have a formulaic plot tho of women running from the trojan men then finally surrendering sexually to them at some time in the future. This story showed more character development and was a love story as well as opening herself sexually to Jared

I've wanted to read Lora Leigh's Bound Heart series for ages. Thanks to ebooks I was able to collect the series easily and could read them in order. All the books in the series tell stories of heroes who have a need to share their women with another man. The menage aspects are integral to the stories and are very well done. I've read all 11 stories released to date and have enjoyed them all. If you like your erotica in flavours other than vanilla, you'll enjoy this series!

I think it could have used more character development in the beg. and middle. The end is where we really got to see Kimberly and her father show their stuff. Never so much with Jared. The sex is great, but maybe less sex more character development. At some point the sex is just yada yada yada....repeat.

This book was not the best but not the worst either. I really could not identify with the characters, so that was a downfall for me. I don't quite understand a man who wants a woman so bad that he will sacrafice his love for her and then once he has her he can't wait to share her. I guess if that what makes some people get off good for them, just not something that works for me.

I do not understand the need for the threesome. It was completely unnecessary and did not work well at all. Plus, if a man is possessive of his woman why the hell would he share? I really could not wrap my mind around this. There are stories where a threesome work but all three are equals in the relationship and there is genuine caring between all. Here, not at all.

Well I've read books 1-5and really liked them but not quite sure that this was it was it for me...waiting till 28 really come on what century are we in and the 3 month testing yup made me a little ill. Girls that is one really patient man...I don't think that if I was a man I'd be able to wait HELL as a woman I WOULDN'T :-)

Quick, enticing read! I loved this from start to finish! Jared and Kimber's love was undeniable and all I kept praying for throughout the whole book was that they'd get their happily ever after. They deserved it!

Super steamy and hot from the beginning!! I would have liked more feelings but still a good read! The menage angle is not one i really like ion books. It is more a swingers thing that for love. Not what I usually like.

This book made me cry with its multiple plots that deal with inter- and intrapersonal conflicts. I love it. As I've said to my friend, this is one of the few erotica that has made me cry. And it is also sizzling hot.

The main characters were really easy to like and relate to. I enjoyed the chase in this book. It taught us that material gain will not be what warms the heart in the middle of the night. She has to decide if she will sacrifice her heritage for love. This is a must read in this series

I don't have much to say about this book. It was typical Leigh, though I thought the "plot" was absolutely absurd. The sex was OK for the most part.
