The biggest downside of this book is that the drawings in-progress do not display well on kindle displays (I played with the brightness settings and couldn't find one that consistently fixed the problem). The sections I benefited from the most were the coverage of depth and the explanation of finding how long to draw a shadow using a light source (that would also help in finding a light source based on the shadow).
I found the advice itself on finding your art message to be somewhat preachy and self-important, and I got tired of reading "there is no right or wrong way" to do something.
For all that, I benefited from reading this book and think that many others would also. Perhaps, if you're less cynical than I am, you'd disagree with my criticisms too.

More than just the drawing process
The book goes beyond the mechanics of drawing and discusses the mindset. I’ve seen nothing else like it. For me it was the catalyst needed to get my creativity started. Salma does an awesome job! I’d recommend this book to any new artist or to any existing artist that wants to better understand their craft.
The online community is a great way to interact with fellow artists and receive helpful input and encouragement!

best, most useful drawing guide I’ve read
So simple to truly understand each individual step. Really made me stop and appreciate each individual step in the process!
