A young man seeks redemption from his past in the third novel from the No More trilogy by Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Kerry Lonsdale.

After serving six months in a juvenile detention center, Lucas Carson returns home irrevocably changed by what happened there. Traumatized, Lucas shuts himself out from everyone he loves, even his younger sister, Lily, who ran away from home when she was pregnant at sixteen. When Lily resurfaces years later, Lucas can’t cope with his guilt about not being there for her. He takes off, only to cross paths with Shiloh Bloom—fifteen, homeless, and, like Lucas, escaping the past.

All Lucas sees in her is the little sister he neglected. Believing this is his chance to absolve past mistakes, he takes Shiloh in. He gives her food and shelter. She gives him a purpose. Together they invent a background for her and form a bond. But the risk of discovery grows. Lucas’s sisters aren’t the only ones looking for him. So are Shiloh’s mother and the police. If Lucas wants to heal and have a future, he must stop running and face everything he’s left behind.

This is the third and final book in a series and you really shouldn’t read it on its own. The way the author ties everything together is really wonderful and you would be missing out if you started here. But if you’re already caught up and ready for book three this was such an amazing and bittersweet ending to the trilogy. I love the blend of suspense, family drama and romance that this series has and that combination is just so satisfying for me. There was an emotional component here, Lucas really tugged on my heart and he may be my favorite of all the Carson siblings. Everything came full circle in the end and I found it to be poignant and so perfect and fitting. If you like books about dark family secrets with lots of drama and entertainment this series was so good!

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.

Expected publication date: March 14, 2023

Lucas Carson served six months in a juvenile detention centre for a crime he didn’t commit and once he was released, traumatized and broken, he wants nothing more than to disappear. He ends up in California City, working in a convenience store and managing a group of apartments, constantly looking over his shoulder with his bags packed- ready to run should his past catch up with him. When he meets fifteen year old Shiloh, a teen runaway, he is struck by such vivid memories of his youngest sister, Lily, that Lucas feels compelled to help. Lily was pregnant when she was forced out of their childhood home and Lucas did not reach out and help her like he could have, and he sees Shiloh as a form of redemption. But someone else is looking for him in California City, and Lucas has to decide if Shiloh is worth sticking around for.

Kerry Lonsdale brings her trilogy of the Carson siblings to a close with her latest novel, “No More Secrets”. Her previous stories, “No More Lies” and “No More Words” introduced Olivia and Lily, and I was overjoyed to get the chance to explore Lucas’ side of things. It is not necessary to read all three novels in any particular order, as each is focused on a different sibling and tells a different story, however I highly recommend reading them all!

Lucas is a broken soul who immediately captured my attention and my sympathy. Although he is presumed guilty (by his own presumption anyway) of a horrendous crime, it is easy to root for him. Shiloh, too, is so young and naïve and her innocent, protective relationship that develops with Lucas is so heartwarming, you can’t help but hope for good things for them both. Lucas and Shiloh bond over their mutual trauma, yet both are desperate to turn their lives around.

The story is told by both Lucas and Shiloh, in alternating chapters, giving the reader a first-hand look at the characters and their backstory. I loved the charming, emotional reunion at the end of the novel that brought the Carson siblings back together after years of heartbreak and loss. Only Lonsdale can spin such a delightful yet poignant novel, that pulls on all the heartstrings. Lonsdale delivers relatable characters, a well-developed plot and an emotional quest for redemption in “No More Secrets”, the captivating finale in her “No More” trilogy.

No More Secrets is the third and final novel in Kerry Lonsdale's "No More" trilogy.
This well-written mystery series focuses on a dysfunctional family and their dark (it seems never ending) secrets.
With a blend of family drama, romance and suspense this trilogy wraps up nicely with No More Secrets.

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Kerry Lonsdale skillfully reminds her readers that every story has several sides; yours, theirs and the truth. In the ‘No More’ trilogy, Lonsdale has introduced us to the Carson siblings and shows us that each of them has reacted differently to a single event in their past. In books one and two, she introduced us to Lily and Olivia and now, Lucas gets to wrap up the series and reveal to us how that night affected him.

The Carson siblings have their fair share of baggage thanks in part to less-than-ideal parents. I knew going into it that Lucas’ story would be uncomfortable for me, but trusted Lonsdale to present it sensitively. She crafts him as a suicidal alcoholic on a collision course with fate. While his trauma has dictated his behaviour in the past, he now seems willing to risk his anonymity and freedom when he presses pause and makes a conscious choice to get to know Shiloah. They are a balm for each other and a catalyst for each to move on from their past.

I appreciated the sneak peek into intergenerational trauma and the potential there is to stop the cycle. Lonsdale shows us that it’s possible to live a normal life that isn’t ruled by our childhood. This story made me thankful for loving parents who instilled healthy coping mechanisms and gave me a wonderful relationship to emulate. My teacher’s heart is always on the lookout for those less fortunate and an opportunity for reaching a hand up.

The characters in this book were probably my favourites. I loved getting to know Lucas better and thought Shiloh, Sophie, Ivy and Irving were crafted by a skillful writer. Through these characters, Lonsdale explores guilt, fear, forgiveness, and acceptance, and examines how we are driven by desperation to do things we wouldn’t normally do.

Finally, I appreciated Lonsdale’s foresight in making the Carson family’s story a trilogy. It gave me a panoramic view (of an otherwise trimmed version) of this complicated and dysfunctional family.

I was gifted this copy by Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

This is my 3rd book by Kerry Lonsdale and I remember loving her book Side Trip so much back in 2020. 15 year old homeless Shiloh meets Lucas, a man on the run from the police. This is truly a heartbreaking story and the characters just come to life right before our eyes. She is a phenomenal story teller and I was up awake at night thinking about this book that I just had to finish it at 3 am. It hooked me from the first page and I loved it! Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release. To be published March 2023.

Lucas is haunted by his past; traumatized by the six months he spent in juvenile detention, hiding from police and an arrest warrant, and feeling unspeakable guilt for abandoning his sister. When he crosses paths with Shiloh, a fifteen year old homeless girl who is also running from her past, he thinks that saving her will bring him redemption and absolution from his mistakes. Lucas leaps off the page—his conflicting emotions, his pain, his fear of both the past, the present and the future are all told in raw, intimate detail. Shiloh is also brilliantly portrayed, her fear and desperation offset by the glimmer of hope that is heightened by her naïveté, despite all she has endured in her young life. Each page was fraught with emotion and tension, my heart equally breaking and healing, then breaking and healing all over again. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book, experiencing the guilt, the fear, the pain, the yearning for forgiveness and acceptance, and the longing for both Lucas and Shiloh to be loved and to be believed. No More Secrets is the gripping and powerful conclusion to the No More series, and was the perfect way to wrap up the stories of the Carson siblings. It can definitely be read as a standalone novel, but I heartily recommend No More Words and No More Lies as well.

One-day read! I was immediately pulled into the final installment of Lonsdale's No More series. Easily my favorite of the bunch. Lonsdale has created a suspenseful page-turner with sexy, multi-layered characters that had me invested from page one. The relationship between Shiloh and Lucas was heartfelt with so much depth, and the bond between these three siblings really moved me. Perfect ending to the series that will satisfy all readers.

No More Secrets is the final book in the No More series. It can be read as a standalone but it contains spoilers for the first two books, and you really should read them all.

Kerry writes a male perspective as perfectly as Wally Lamb writes a female perspective. She really brought me into Lucas's mindset and made him so likable, even when he didn't want to be. I am also glad I got to see Shiloh's perspective and this could pave the way for Kerry to write young adult novels. The story was really engaging and I worried for the characters when I was busy doing other things. Shiloh was constantly running into trouble while she was trying to survive on her own. Lucas was hiding from the law after his father's death, which he knows will trace back to him, and he doesn't want to end up in prison after his horrible experience at a juvenile detention center. I love the connection that gradually formed between them.

No More Secrets ties up some loose ends from the first two books, as well as brings back a character I wasn't expecting to see again. This series is a manual for how not to be a parent, in terms of what Dwight and Charlotte put their children through. I love that there's some closure when it comes to everything that happened for the siblings throughout the series.

Overall, I really liked this page-turner a lot. I wish this series could continue or that Shiloh could have a spin-off novel. Thanks to Kerry for another great story!

(Trigger warnings at the bottom.)

Movie casting suggestions (some are from my review of No More Lies):
Olivia: Danielle Panabaker
Charlotte: Madeleine Stowe

TW: sexual assault, suicidal references

A big thank-you to Kerry Lonsdale for this gifted copy of the third book in the No More series. I have really enjoyed following the journey of the Carson siblings as they try to figure out how to live their lives in the aftermath of their parents’ abuse and neglect. Each book in the series follows a different sibling, but their stories all intertwine. More pieces of their past are revealed as we get each sibling’s perspective of their childhood.

No More Secrets was Lucas’s book. Those who have read all three books know a little bit about Lucas already, but he has kept lots of secrets from his sisters.

Lucas grows a lot as a person throughout the book. At the beginning, he is wondering if life is worth continuing, but by the end, he has found his place and his purpose again. I adored Lucas’s relationship with Shiloh. He sees her as his second chance to do right by someone in need, after not helping his sister when she needed it. Shiloh was wary of Lucas at first, but realized that he was the good kind of adult who was there to help her.

I enjoyed the closer that we got regarding plot points that were left open in the previous two books–no spoilers, but the series ended in a satisfying way.

This is definitely a series you have to read in order. Without the backstory of Olivia and Lily’s books, I imagine it would be hard to follow the plot points relating to their family history. I’m sad the series is over, but I will certainly be watching out for what Kerry Lonsdale writes next!

Lucas Carson leads a self-imposed solitary life. He hasn’t put down roots since he left home amid the turmoil of his father’s death. Moving often, he drifts through his life keeping the secrets that haunt him hidden. Lately, things are beginning to change. He is starting to feel comfortable living in the Mojave Desert working in a small convenience store and doing repairs in the apartment building he lives in. He loves working with his hands and is good at it.

Just as he begins to think he may have found the place he can settle down, Shiloh Bloom, a fifteen-year-old homeless girl, flies into his radar. She is in trouble and reminds Lucas of the sister he hasn’t seen for a very long time. Against all of his self-imposed rules, he helps Shiloh. It might be the end of his freedom, but there is the possibility this friendship will help set him free from the demons of his past that haunt him. But facing the hard truths of what really happened leading up to leaving his family might just be too much for him.

This is the third and final book in Kerry Lonsdale’s No More series. She brings the characters to life on the pages, pulling readers into the lives and stories of the three siblings. Each book in the trilogy enriches and compliments the other books by allowing Lily, Olivia and Lucas to tell his or her stories through their own eyes. Like a beautiful tapestry, the trilogy weaves a complexly beautiful picture that would have been lost without all three main characters adding their own perspective and feelings. I highly recommend reading the entire series. The writing is superb, pulling the reader in on the first page and not letting go until the final words.

Bestselling author Kerry Lonsdale is the co-founder of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and the #1 Kindle bestselling author. She is a Wall Street Journal bestselling author. I have read the No More series, as well as Side Trip, Last Summer and Everything We Keep. The rest of her novels are on the top of my to-be-read list.

Love a good Lonsdale book. This is #3 in the series and it did not disappoint. The story centers around Lucas Carson who thinks there is a warrant out for his arrest. He runs and ends up in a small town helping Ivy with her store. Along comes Shiloh who is homeless, also ran away and he saves her from an attack. The two form a friendship that goes above and beyond and then their secrets come out. Luc has two sisters who he hasnt seen in years and Shiloh has a mother looking for her. Their friendship brings out all the things they were running from.

This book is a page turner, love the characters and the whole story. Sweet friendships, love, trust and forgiveness make this book a five star delight.

Drifter Lucas finds purpose helping mother figure, Ivy, and teen runaway, Shiloh. Will he be able to protect them? And, will he ever reunite with sisters, Olivia and Lily/Jenna?

No More Secrets, the third and last installment in a series, fills in the remaining details about a deliciously dysfunctional family (the type that's fun to read about but not to be a member of haha). In this case, it's true and Ms. Lonsdale definitely saved the best for last! Secrets focused mostly on Lucas, a drifter with a shady past, while also introducing Ivy, a much needed mother figure for Lucas, and Shiloh, a teen runaway. It was even more suspenseful and compelling than the first two, and I loved how protective Lucas was of both Ivy and Shiloh. This was the perfect ending to the trilogy, and I teared up near the end.

This is the perfect book to cap off this fabulous series! I have throughly enjoyed each book in this series and No More Secrets did not disappoint.

In No More Secrets we learn Lucas' story. He is haunted by his past. His parent's did not help him when he needed them the most and he feels guilty for not helping his sister Lily before she ran away.

So now he is hiding out in a remote California town where he is contemplating what to do next. While working in the town's convenient store he catches a girl shoplifting that reminds him of Lily. Over time he finds out her name is Shiloh and she is a run away just like Lily was as a teenager. He finds purpose in helping her but it may cost him more than he expected.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Each book from this trilogy opens up more about the complicated Carson family. I was sad to read the last words of this book only because I had to say goodbye to Olivia, Lucas and Lily. If you haven't read No More Words or No More Secrets yet I highly recommend reading them before you start this book. Although this book can be read as a stand alone you will enjoy the story much more knowing what has led up to Lucas finally telling his story.

Kerry Lonsdale weaves a perfect web of storytelling that keeps me turning the pages yearning to learn more about these characters. Her books are full of relationships and emotion and this one is no different.

I strongly encourage you to read this trilogy. It is full of drama, secrets, guilt, self-discovery, forgiveness and acceptance. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I am extremely grateful to Lake Union Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a digital ARC of this fabulous book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was EVERYTHING and then some!!! This book is Lucas's story and the perfect ending to the No More series. This can be read as a stand alone book but trust me you want to read Olivia's and Lily's books. Kerry Lonsdale writes the most incredible characters and in this book I loved Shiloh, Ivy, and of course Lucas. I knew Lucas's story was going to be a rough one but I truly think this was the best book of the series. I received an advanced readers copy and all opinions are my own.

The closing of this series could not have been more perfect. I may have cried at the main event.

No More Secrets is told, finally, from Luc’s POV. You are rooting for him the entire time, while also being frustrated with how damn stubborn he is. And oh, Sunshine Girl, so sweet, trying to act so tough. They truly needed each other.

The No More series has been a journey and I’m honored to have been along for the entire ride. The stories are amazing and full of characters you can’t help but care for. I highly, HIGHLY recommend picking up the series, starting with No More Words. I’ll give you…a day a book at most. I’ve read each of them in one single sitting because I simply cannot put them down once I start.

Lucas is on the run after killing his father. He ends up in California City, and works at a shop. The owner of the shop, Ivy, has taken him under her wing, giving him a job and an apartment.
Lucas is suicidal, and an alcoholic, and is bearing a lot of guilt for not assisting his younger sister when she most needed help. She ran away from home at a very young age, and he hasn't seen her since.
A young girl, Shiloh, who is a runaway, comes into the shop and shoplifts. She reminds Lucas of his younger sister, Lily.
Shiloh is living in an abandoned car, and Lucas saves her from being assaulted, and takes the teenager home.

Lucas and Shiloh become friends and it seems as though they found each other in time to save each other.

The story unfolds exposing all the secrets that the two are keeping from each other.

The book was very good, I liked the characters, Lucas struck me as weak, and then gained strength along the way as he admitted to his errors in life.

I did not realise this was book 3 of a trilogy, and would like to read the first two books as well.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5* No More Secrets Stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

No More Secrets is the 3rd book in the No More Series and what a finale it was with so many secrets being exposed.

Each of the books have focussed on a Carson sibling, Olivia and Lily and this one was Lucas’ story and just like the other two it did not disappoint! It also tied up loose ends in Lily and Olivia’s lives.

Lucas’ journey was a sad one with him running from his past and hiding out in a small town trying to deal with the demons that plague him. What he does not expect to find is a runaway teenager named Shiloh who has secrets of her own. His fierce protectiveness towards Shiloh was his way to redemption because he was unable to protect Lily when she needed it. They form a strong bond and friendship which leads to a path of reconciliation and understanding.

This was a thrilling read with the reunification of the siblings and understanding the past when secrets are exposed, some of which I did not see coming!

A wonderful conclusion to an enjoyable and well written series.

No More Secrets – This is the third book in the series that is from Lucas’s point of view. The book covers the events early in his life that affects him still today. This is his journey to find forgiveness for things he did and things he did not do. Olivia and Lily are both now united in search of their brother. Lucas running from his past unable to handle his guilt and it isn’t until he meets Shiloh Bloom, a 15 yr old girl homeless, that he has a chance to help her since he did not help Lily. It is his relationship and help he provides to her that he starts to understand that everything in the past was not his fault. Will they be able to help each other and find hope in the future? Will Lucas reunite with his sisters? Will Shiloh ever go back home?

This book as well as this series is very different from some of the prior books by Kerry Lonsdale. I have enjoyed this series very much and look forward to future projects. Thanks to Netgalley for complimentary copy.

Excellent conclusion to the No More series. I'm saddened that this series has come to an end, but I'm positive Kerry Lonsdale will be writing more spectacular books that I will be most happy to read. No More Secrets is Lucas' perspective on the Carson family drama, and I thoroughly enjoyed his story the best. Lucas had a good heart and that showed when he helped Shiloh, a 15 year-old girl also running from her past and homeless. He felt that helping her was a way to redeem himself after feeling that he failed his younger sister Lily years before. It was a good brother/sister relationship that developed between them, very heart warming and at times also heart wrenching. If you haven't read the first two books in this series, I highly recommend that you do before reading this one.

Kerry Does it again!! This series is my favorite by her so far! I loved finally getting to know Lucas and his story. I believe you could read these as standalone books, but I love the way each book focuses on one of the siblings and even though they were raised in the same house, with the same parents their experiences and their "truths" were so very different. These books show trauma and family disfunction and then how it's possible to overcome and do better for the next generation. I recommend Kerry's books every time someone is looking for a new book/author!

This book is the perfect ending for the trilogy about the Carson siblings. Lucas, the brother who ran away, is featured in this heart-wrenching story about finding truth and moving on towards a more hopeful future. Luc ran away from a past that still haunts him and has to deal with the discovery about what really happened before he can move on and grasp a bright future. I especially enjoyed how much emotion this book included, especially with the friendships that Luc makes and what a kindhearted person he really is. He is such a vulnerable soul that he just puts himself right out there and ends up getting hurt. All of the action is very realistic and thought-provoking. I enjoyed that this book brought all three siblings together in some very surprising and unexpected scenarios. Mostly, I’m delighted to have a conclusion to Luc’s story because his is the most compelling and the most dynamic, with plenty of action and drama. The entire book was well paced and introduced some secondary characters that I really enjoyed meeting, especially the teen survivor Shiloh. The mystery of the Carsons and all that happened to them is resolved, making this an extremely satisfying book to read with no loose ends and lots of tears. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the “No More” trilogy so that the entire story of the Carsons is enjoyed and all of the puzzle pieces fit together so well. A masterpiece of a family saga that is not to be missed!

What a great end to the series! After seeing Olivia and Lily’s perspectives, Lucas filled in the missing pieces. I binge read this in less than a day because I couldn’t put it down. There are some darker elements to this one so definitely check trigger warnings, but it kept me captivated whole time. From the moment Lucas and Shiloh meet, I was intrigued by how their stories would come together. Despite his difficult past and past trauma, Lucas sees helping Shiloh and some redemption from what happened with his sister Lily years ago. If you haven’t read this series yet, I highly recommend grabbing them and reading them all in a row! Thank you Kerry Lonsdale for my gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

At the start of this one Lucas is a hot mess. Most of the choices he makes are there to punish himself. It's funny how when he interacts with a seemingly homeless girl his whole life changes. Lucas and Shiloh have a lot in common, when they finally take the time to actually speak to each other and talk about things. I liked that Lucas gave Shiloh a safe place and that Shiloh made Lucas confront his past, even if it was only in his head at first.

Things got bad for Lucas towards the end, it seemed like everything caught up to him. But quickly things were sorted out and Lucas was forced to confront things for real and they ended up surprisingly good for him. By the end of the book he was in such a better place, making good choices and living his life finally free for the past.

The conclusion to the No More trilogy by Kerry Lonsdale was executed perfectly!

Each book takes the perspective of one the Carson siblings and their toxic childhood. No More Secrets follows Lucas Carson after he serves 6 months in a detention center for shoplifting. Lucas comes home traumatized and becomes distant with his family. Lucas has self-destructive behavior and lands himself running away from home and his demons.

Lucas has a job at a convenience store where he finds a teen attempting to shop lift. Shiloh Bloom reminds Lucas of his younger sister, Lily, who was also a run away. Lucas wasn't able to help Lily as a child but he is driven to help Shiloh.

Thank you to Kerry Lonsdale, Lake Union Publishing an NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!

No More Secrets was a moving story about a man, Lucas Carson, who has suffered injustices and holds his secrets close, fearful of others knowing what he has had to endure.

This main protagonist, Lucas, runs away from adversity and has neglected the ones he loves, his two sisters. He was involved with some things that he is haunted by, his father's death and a time that he had spent in juvenile detention that he wants to forget. When he crosses paths with a homeless teen, his life changes for the better as he tries to make amends by helping this girl, Shiloh Bloom, stay off the streets and out of danger. Maybe by doing this good deed he is making up for what he did not do for his own sister.

The story is full of secrets that are finally revealed by Lucas, his sisters, mother, and Shiloh. He realizes he is not the only one who is haunted by their pasts.

An enjoyable read that I recommend!

I received a digital ARC from Lake Union Publishing via NetGalley.

This is the third and final novel in the No More trilogy. No More Secrets is Lucas Carson’s story. It is my favorite of the trilogy. I do not think it is absolutely necessary to read all three novels in order, as the backstory is mentioned throughout the novel. However, I highly recommend reading all of the books because the Carsons are amazing characters.

Readers should be aware that Lucas’ story specifically deals with some topics that may be difficult subject-matter. These include: sexual assault, physical assault, a suicide attempt, runaways, and homelessness.

Wow, Lucas' story was intense, raw and very moving! It was interesting to see events from Lucas' perspective. The tremendous growth experienced by Lucas throughout this novel was wonderful to read. An excellent ending to the Carson family saga.

Third book in this series and I think this one is my favorite, I loved Luca’s story, it was heartbreaking a bit intense but fantastic.
If you haven’t read a book from Kerry you should, she’s not only a talented writer, she’s also an amazing human.

Thank you Kerry and Lake Union Authors for this gifted copy and amazing book box!

I really enjoyed the No More trilogy! I felt the emotions of each character and rooted for each one (well, not exactly everyone!). There was so much going on in this book and each twist had me anticipating the resolution. It is always good when you get to an unexpected ending!

Thank you Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
