Almost Perfect is the 4th book in the Cordoba Agency series. I am enjoying getting to know each member of this agency and learning their strengths and weaknesses and how they go hard for each other and the ones they love. In my opinion this one was different from the other books in reference to the plot and characters which I thoroughly enjoyed. I listened to the audio also and the person/persons reading it really did a great job, they kept me very interested in the story. Looking forward to the next one in this series.
Who knew high stakes safecracking, running for one's life dodging both the bad guys and the police in a foreign country could eventually lead these two to the love both craved? Sable breaking to the apartment of a mutual friend after completing a theft that exposed her to the murder of a man she now knew to be a politician led to initial intense wrangling with the current occupant Hunter! After getting their terse meeting out of the way, they embarked on life altering running through Paris just ahead of the bad guys and the ones paid to be good guys! Finally these two were able with the help of loyal friends to close that part of their lives but the love they found for each other could not be so easily extinguished! Thankfully the bad and bad good guys were dispensed with, now Sable and Hunter are back on American soil but will what they started in Paris continued now they are on familiar ground? That fellow readers is the question to be answered by everyone who opens the cover of this excellently written and superbly chronicled love story that occurred under the backdrop of death, mayhem and criminal attempts to end their lives! All of the good stuff you get to go through to get to the final outcome will have you reeling for days and pulling for all the good imaginable to shower these two well deserving lovers! Great job once again Delaney and the Cordoba Agency continues to show their astuteness at protecting their own and getting the job done! Loved Hunter and Cable's story!!!!!!
Almost Perfect is the next installment of the Cordoba Agency series. Hunter Mitchell’s latest assignment from the Cordoba agency is in Paris. It’s easy and allows him to enjoy the city and do a little research about his past. This is until Sable Devereaux blows into his life like a tornado. Sable’s goal is to complete her last heist, use her earnings to invest in an antique shop and live a quiet life with her family in Tennessee. She’s thrown off course when she is involved in a dangerous situation. Sable and Hunter have a friend in common who has an apartment in the area. Unfortunately, Hunter doesn’t realize that his home away from home is also Sable’s hideout. Hunter thinks Sable is stunning. He can barely concentrate on the task at hand when he first discovers her, which is to figure out why she broke into the apartment. Sable is annoyed by her attraction to Hunter and how something as simple as the lift of his month unsettles her. Hunter agrees to help her out of the situation and things go from there. Inevitably, Sable and Hunter grow closer. So much heat is packed in their first kiss and they have a sensual need for each other. The love scenes are steamy. They also complement each other in the heat of the battle. Like the title, things are Almost Perfect. I enjoyed Almost Perfect, and highly recommend it. See complete review at romanceincolor.com
A definite page turner. This was much more than your typical boy meets girl romantic story. Ms. Diamond masterfully captivates the reader from the first page. I was seated at the edge of my seat, caught up in the drama, hoping Sable didn't get caught or killed. There were no dull moments in this book. Even the way Sable and Hunter met was dramatic. I loved Sable's feisty, strong, compassionate character. She was the perfect woman for Hunter's, alpha male, protective, risk-taking character. The adverse circumstances from their lives, as youth, caused them to become wounded and distrustful of love. Sable and Hunter had to trust each other and allow love back into their lives while trying to stay alive. Their antics had me alternately gushing at their romantic gestures, shaking my head at their pig headedness, praying for their safety, or laughing hysterically. This was the perfect addition to the Cordoba Agency series, and I can't wait to read the next installment.
Oh what a tangle web that lead to so much more. Go on the journey of Sable and Hunter, was a modern twist of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. The pace of the story was on point . You'll root for the over arching story of love, but really the need for vindication in an underground world that caused so much destruction. You'll love seeing Sánchez and Allisa show up, bringing back how important the Cordoba Agency is to the success of the team.
In this forth book Delaney truly stretched her writing chops to connect the dots seamlessly between the world's of Sable and Hunter, and how the alignment made sense from their respective past of being drawn to one another.
The Cordoba men are just what a girl needs. They can take care of all your needs. Protect you, romance and treat you like a queen, or make you their own tasty treat. Book four had a large share of drama with the mystery and the baddest little lady you will ever meet. I adored Sable. She was one of the feistiest ladies I've read about. Sable was a thief who could crack any safe and get in and out of tight spaces. When Hunter met and had to help her solve a mystery, I knew they would be good together. Cruz made an appearance for old-time's sake, along with this new guy named Hasson. I hope to see more of these guys and some newbies in future stories.
I loved the first 2 books of the series. I feel like books 3 and 4 don’t have that fire like the first 2. I don’t care about these men or their women. Hunter and Sable were more exciting than Katherine and Raheem but I still got bored towards the middle. I hated the 3rd act breakup. Just done. I wish authors would stop doing that. It’s so annoyingly predictable. It doesn’t even add any drama to the story. Just annoyance. The groveling can happen at the 40% or 65%. But not at 91 freaking percent! Come on!
I don’t know where to start because this book was great. We meet Sable as she is stealing an item. She gets caught and goes to a safe place where she meets Hunter. Wow, Hunter! Gorgeous, protector and lethal! As he helps her, they fall for each other. I think the falling in love quickly worked because of their pasts. Kept me interested and holding my breath . Can’t wait to read more in this series!
Hunter and Sable were both from the United States. Hunter on a few days vacation and Sable tree to Steal a bible. Yes I. Said a bible. It was worth millions and would allow her to finally open her antique shop. However she t. Very lucky when she met Hunter, he was an special Agent, that work with the Cordoba Agency he literally saved her life and spared her from going to jail for murder
Delaney Diamond you have done it again. Enjoyed reading the story of Hunter and Sable. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoy the Cordoba Agency experience, and if you haven’t experienced it I suggest you hop on board and read book 1-4 and become a die hard fan of these breath taking agents and their love interest.
Love the characters of Hunter and Sable. What a great adventure! You will love Hunter and his skill at protecting Sable and how he falls for her. You will love the “good thief” that is Sable and her skill set as a thief. Taking down the bad guys and finding their HEA, wonderful story!
Hunter and Sable had chemistry from the very beginning and they grew to trust each other with their lives. The attraction was fire and this book was a joy to read with so much action and suspense. Kudos to Delaney Diamond on another awesome story. She never disappoints.
This was so good the mystery with the Art dealers, money laundering and drug dealing kept me wide awake. The Sable and Hunter fell in love was hot. It almost made me cry when they walked away from each other. I can't wait for Nissan and Slides story.
Ms. Diamond really wrote a superb story. It was exciting from the beginning to the end. There were twists and turns on every page. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed every minute of it. I did not want it to end. I have given the set as gifts to friends. Keep up the good work Delaney. You have a new fan.
O how I enjoy the author's storytelling! I get a good book to read and a free movie in my imagination that I can view at home, in the park or at the seashore, for free. Additionally, historical information included the Gutenberg bible and Gallaudet University, an higher learning institution for the deaf. What a spectacular book!
This is my fourth book in this series and so far Hunter is my fav. This novel had all the makings of a Bond film. Location -Paris; plot-murder, drugs, cartel, etc. Characters - Badass Assassin and Badass thief. Throw in fights, corrupt cops, car chases, and 🔥 sex, you have a great romantic murder mystery.
I love this series and I loved Hunter and Sable. They were funny and I loved their chemistry. Please read it, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait for the next book.
I loved this book. The storyline was exciting and nail biting simultaneously; just the right amount of intrigue. While I knew there would be a happy ending, I definitely couldn’t write this amazing one. As always, I think Delaney Diamond’s storytelling is PERFECT.
Read Raheem and Katherine's story that was hot with a capital H. Unfortunately all the others read so far in this series is just room temperature. Not great, no bad, just ok
This might be my favorite in the series. The two main characters are well developed and the story is fun and interesting. There's nothing usual or cookie cutter about this adventurous romance.
Excellent read, I loved the characters and storyline. Hunter and Sable’s story was full of action, intrigue and romance. It was a nonstop thrill ride. Catching up with the Cordoba Agency family was an added bonus.
It was great to get back to this series. The Cordoba Agency team are a great bunch of people that have overcome obstacles. Hunter is part of that family and anyone who is associated with him will fit right in.
This book was exciting. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It's packed with action and passion. Delaney paints a picture that draws you in for more. This is a good read!
Hunter….sexy loaner. Sable…thief. They were brought together on a whelm and because of their friend Hossam. The action was good but this book stated out slow. I was so glad when the sex scenes came!
I feel in love with Hunter and Sable! Their story is action packed and hard to put down! I kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next! Highly recommend!
Sable learn to trust, but could she give up her heart? Rasheem, is a super hero, with childhood hurts after dodging bullets, A car accident will his heart and body heal. The Cordoba Agency team members are one extended family and growing.
