Maggie can't seem to stay out of trouble. Her life is a whirlwind of family, her animals and trouble. Nothing is ever simple. Her brother is is trouble. Delveccio wants her to kill someone and it's probably the most dangerous task she's ever had. Even Patrick her murder mentor can't handle this assignment. Add in Maggie's best friend is leaving town and her plate is more than full. Always more drama from her family to add to the confusion but Gino is there to support her. This fast paced story will keep you engaged to the end JB Lynn performs a miracle with every book in this series. I never see where the story is going and I am always completely entertained.

Maggie has issues. Family issues. This time she sets out to help her brother with someone called The Security Guard. With a lot of help from her animal friends, Maggie sets out to do just that. This series is always lots of laughs and lots of heart! A must read for cozy mystery fans!

This is a fun story that has Maggie tasked with taking out a hitman known as the security guard. His name strikes fear in all who hear it, yet Maggie must survive him to keep her family safe. Even Patrick, her murder mentor, is terrified of the security guard.

As usual, her animals rise to the occasion to help her and add their own element of chaos to the situation and to her life.

This book is fun, funny, and a bit poignant. Maggie has made tremendous personal growth over this series and continues to demonstrate this in this novel. She continues to put others ahead of herself, even at great personal risk. This is part of what makes her such an entertaining character - she is funny, self depreciating, and loyal. This, along with her ability to speak with animals, makes for a great combination.

Fans of the genre will love this book and want to put it at the top of their TBR list. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, you'll enjoy it so much more if you've read the prior books. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Getting by...by the skin of her teeth

Once again I finished the newest Hitwoman book in one sitting. And once again my heart was racing and I nearly nibbled my fingernails! Such an exciting book with so much potential for disaster! And some unlikely allies and lucky breaks were the icing on the cake!

New and familiar characters blend flawlessly as Maggie Lee continues taking care of her family. I love the feeling of reality infused with incredible circumstances that make the series and this book so much fun.

I loved it, and might as well admit that I can hardly wait for the next book to be published! JB you rock this series!

Love this series!

This is one of the best series of books I have been reading. It is one that I will pre-order the next one just to be sure I don't miss it. The characters are all so different, but the bottom line is they are all about family. The Hitwoman is a conflicted, mixed-up, smart woman. She is dedicated to family and will do whatever needed to protect them all. Of course, the icing on the cakes is the ability of several of the characters to communicate with their menagerie of animals, something I have always wanted to be able to do!
Thank you, JB Lynn, for great stories that make me laugh-out-loud!

One of the funniest killer thrillers of all time

Once again, I repeat that I have read every book in the series. If you don't want to know what's going to happen you may want to skip this part. I'm absolutely overjoyed that Gino's and Maggie are a couple. Realizing Gino's confident in her abilities and Patrict is not was quite the eye opener for Maggie. I'm also glad Armani is staying. Ian's not cheating, Whitehouse helped and hasn't asked for anything, yet, Maggie may get her nap after all. I cannot remember all the one liners from 'god' but I literally burst out laughing. I recommend this series to all my friends. You should read it too.

Maggie does it again

In this latest adventure Maggie is caught in a seemingly impossible situation. Ian is in danger. Delvecchio wants the Security Guard dead, Patrick was supposed to kill someone for the Security Guard and was terrified and heading out of town when he fails to complete the task for the Security Guard. Oh, and Gino is still out of commission! Add in lots of family drama and there You have it. You will have to read the book to see how it all works out! So satisfying!

Another good one

I could hardly wait until the next story came out. Who knew that it would even be possible for Maggie's protection menagerie to increase in size, but it has! I'm glad that Maggie is happy with Bono but I am secretly hoping she finds her happily ever after with Zeke. They can still be a some hair-raising adventures together and in think Zeke would embrace all her idiosyncrasies! Anyway, I can't wait for the next one.

Exciting adventure, and Funny.

I can’t get enough of this series … and am really really glad my family isn’t so complicated. The stories are full of exciting adventure, crazy deals with Mobsters, and bad guys. And then there are the animals, that only Maggie, Ian and the Grandfather can converse with. No matter the plan, Maggie manages to inadvertently tweak it at the end and crazy ensues.

I love these books!

The very very best part of the entire book was what Maggie decided in her last conversation with Patrick! The family meeting was also excellent for once!
I love this crazy family and the menagerie of animals and the people who can understand and talk with them!
Thank you JB Lynne! Keep ‘em coming!

From the first book I was hooked

I'm solo glad that Maggie finally really realized that Patrick wasn't for her. How he didn't have faith in her. That she only had dumb luck going for. Gino, on the hand accepted her from the start. Caught onto her ability to talk to her animals and not think of her as crazy. He thought it was so cool.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was glad to see Alejandro and Percival attempting to get along. But now I’m wondering what’s going on with the PI license, I see another mystery to be solved . A must read

gee wiz

I’m glad that Maggie is coming into her own. I wonder how Gino really feels since he is a protector. I mean for goodness sake he is a bodyguard. I’m really intrigued about the characters and the fact that the llama is saying is funny.

Another gem

This book series has balanced out my binge tv viewing. I would rather, many times, and do, sit and read rather than watch the boob tube. Great story. Great characters. Great writing. What else does one need? Thanks JB.

Writing style has changed some, but it feels fresh. The series is branching into more mature feel with the relationships with family and friends. I loved the way things wrapped up.

I always fly through the books reAdy for more and thinness no exception. Character development and plot movement to progress the story, but still a good read.

Maggie is tasked with a job that puts her at odds with Delveccio, Patrick, Whitehat, & her menagerie of pets. A seemingly easy job with Patrick turns into a debacle where Patrick has some hard decisions to make. Uproar in the family pits members against each other with Marlene & Armani making big decisions. A fast, funny, tense installment to this series that has me getting ready to start the next one soon. I love these stories with the family dynamics, the outlandish antics of the menagerie, & the rivalry between Gino & Patrick. Maggie's dilemmas she gets herself into are funny and fresh even after 32 books!

More Maggie and crew.

It is always fun to see what sort of trouble Maggie is going to get in next. I also enjoyed seeing some of the newer people finding their way into Maggie's family! Now we have to wait again for more adventures with god!
