This is the third book I have read from author, V.B. Emanuele. Just like the other two books, she really infuses such life into her characters that I the reader become so invested in them, that they are a part of me. That is what happened with this book.
Isabelle and Valentino are great together. They may have started out as casual acquaintances but that changed fairly quickly the longer they spent in one another's company. You could say that the intensity went from a spark to fireworks. It was HOT.
Yet, this story is not all about the sex. No, this book has a really good storyline with some twists. I can't wait to read book two and continue to see Isabelle and Valentino grow strong together even more.

This book will set your heart on fire. Every emotion from sad, scared, happy, furious, and curiosity will run through your soul as you follow Isabelle Ayala and Valentino Greco on their journey. I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. If ever there was a page turner this one is it!! From the naïve waitress to the confident side of Isabelle at the end it was a heartfelt journey. The connection she has with Valentino was evident even when she was under 'Sir's' contract.
Tanya is an amazing best friend and I love that she was willing to risk their friendship if it meant keeping Isabelle safe from danger. Each character was so well written and helped make the story into an unforgettable journey! I gotta say I loved Joseph! He became one of my favorite characters throughout the book with his smirks and comments. I highly recommend this trilogy and you should go start this first book immediately!!

This one had me up all night and on the edge of my seat! Such a wild ride from start to finish!
She's just gotten fired from her job when her best friend convinces her to go to a masquerade. Little does she know her life is about to change forever.
He doesn't do relationships but why can't he take his eyes off the woman he's paid to have a veil over her eyes while in his promise. This is dark romance at its finest. The first of a thrilling trilogy.

This is my first book by V.B. Emanuele, but it definitely won't be my last. I was instantly hooked and could not put this book down. It's so action packed and fast paced, but not to the point that you felt like you're missing anything. I loved the plot, and the characters are brilliant and amazing. Valentino and Isabelle stole my heart and attention. I loved the twists that this book offered, and was definitely on the edge of my seat at times. I just started the second book, and I can't wait to see what that book has to offer. If you enjoy spice, dark romance, twists and turns, and being hooked immediately, then this book is the perfect one.

Ugh.. I don’t like to be that person who leaves a bad review but... Gah!! I spent my $ on this and DNF. I know a lot of people loved this book, but I just couldn’t get through it. It was so predictable and boring . The virgin , acted all tough for a minute , pissed at her friend, acted resistant , and less than a few days, she wanted him to take her virginity ! No fight. There was no mystery as to who he was. Name starts with a V, Italian, his voice, words, cologne ... anyone would be able to tell.... sigh.... someone recommended this book and I jumped the gun to buy it , and can’t Garner enough interest to finish it ... But the FMC was just not relatable .
I think I might just be the minority here so please do try to read it . I DNF so maybe it gets better later . If I do happen to finish and enjoy it, I’ll definitely come back and update .

This book delivers exactly what it promises.
I went in fairly blind, I only new it was billionaire romance and quite spicy. So I was instantly sold.
When I started reading this book I was hesitant, as it looked like we where missing the consent and I was extremely worried that I wasn't gonna like it. but that didn't match what I know about the author and what other readers told me so I kept going and everything went well and start making sense. So if you decide to read this book, which I absolutely recommend you to do, push through the beginning even if you feel uncomfortable, (and you should feel uncomfortable) because explanations come and makes sense!!
But of course check the triggers and don't read if is gonna make you feel bad, no book is worth that 😘
The book flows great and the characters, especially the side characters, (but I am always a sucker for lovely side characters and this book have many of them) are lovely. The MMC is very grey and the FMC is so realistic I feel I knew her, I specially liked that she is not a badass heroine that never crumbles, she is strong and cry when she needs it and is scared cause shit is happening!!

From the start this story had me hooked! Isabelle has recently lost her job and is stressing over being able to pay her bills. Her best friend convinces her to attend an annual masquerade party that changes her life. She is shocked to find she is being auctioned off to one of the men at the party. Her wealthy buyer has major trust issues and keeps her blindfolded with lace so that she cannot see who he is. He is cloaked in secrets and mystery but she is drawn to him in a way that she cannot seem to ignore. As they face the challenges of their arrangement and get closer to each other, dangerous people from both of their pasts begin to circle their lives waiting for their moment to strike. Secrets begin to unfold and the trust they have been building between them is tested as a chain of twists and turns barrel through their lives turning everything on its end.
These two have some crazy intense chemistry that I could not get enough of. The flirting and playfulness that comes out of them both when they are together is both intimate and adorable. Then there are moments when their walls drop and they are vulnerable with each other that will have you swooning! I was not expecting all of the emotions this book brought out of me or the wild journey that this story would take me on, but I enjoyed every minute of it. With the way it ended I feel like it could be read as a standalone if you didn't want to continue with their story but why would you stop there? From the sound of it the next book in this trilogy is even wilder and I can't wait to find out!

I have so many great things to say about The Veil!! First, I thought once I started reading that I knew exactly how this book was going to play out, WRONG!! The Veil had so many twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat most of the book because it was action packed with danger and sex!!! I could not get enough of the MMC, Valentino Greco. His name elicits sex, power, and the "bad boy" persona. I loved the FMC, Isabelle, she was so innocent but you couldn't help but love how she was able to bring Valentino to his knees. They're relationship started out unlike most but by the middle of the book I was so glad they were together. Isabelle brought out the best in Valentino while he brought out Isabelle's darkest fantasies!
I love the way the author had me invested in their story from the very beginning, it was so hard to put the book down at night. I also loved that their story was unique to any billionaire love story I've read before. It had a great mix of action and smut. I couldn't get enough of Isabelle and Valentinos relationship and how they complimented each other both physically and emotionally. I was truly invested in these characters from the very beginning. I truly can't recommend this book enough to people who love spicy/smutty romances with a hot couple!! 😍 Do yourself a favor and check out this amazing indie author- V.B Emanuele, she is hands down a extremely talented author!

The Veil is my second book by V.B. Emanuele, so my expectations were pretty high after reading Tryst. Boy, did she deliver! I went in knowing it was a billionaire, mafia romance, the genre she likes to focus on, and something to do with a veil. Haha!
The primary focus of the book was the innocent Isabelle Ayala and the secretive and wealthy Valentino Greco. Working at a local bar/club, Isabelle is constantly groped and harassed by her scummy boss until she finally has enough. Before having to deal with the real-world stress of having to find a job, her best friend, Tanya, invites her to a masquerade ball. Failing to tell Isabelle a vital piece of information, the masquerade ball caters to very wealthy men who bid on and pay for sex with attendees! Thrust into auction, Isabelle is won by a masked stranger who insists she stays in his home.
Hiding his identity from Isabelle, Valentino puts his plans into motion. Winning, Bella, was only the beginning. Valentino hides many secrets and must keep her safe at all costs, but can he keep his heart safe? How can he resist the beautiful innocent Bella? She must never know the truth of why she is really there.
V.B. Emanuele has packed this book full of wonderful supporting characters, like my favorite Tanya - um, hello... My namesake! She creates them in such a way that you fall in love with them, and at points in the book, you hold your breath while flipping through the pages to see what happens next! The book is not only a spicy dark romance, but it's packed full of action! At one point, I shed a few tears.
As I write this, I have already finished chapter one of Unveiled, book #2 in the Trilogy.

V.B Emanuele knows how to captivate a reader. This has mystery and thrills, romance, and spice! I couldn’t put this down, the twists and turns had me constantly on the edge of my seat and gasping. I went into this expecting level 1000 steam and constant spice and I’m so happy that it was so much deeper than that.
Isabelle is a strong and independent woman, she has a quick wit and is not looking to back down. Valentino might as well be a cinnamon roll- he has the tough exterior to hold up appearances but genuinely cares about his people. He’s dancing along a line of work and passion and the character growth was phenomenal to watch.
I can’t wait to see what is next not only in the series but in other works that will be released.

What can I say. I was immediately hooked! I had stopped reading any this of mafia type stories because of all started to seem too be repetitive but this book sucked me in!! The mystery and the romance with action was the perfect balance but also mixed in was a coming of age story of a woman finding her voice. This wasn’t a guy becoming her savior but she was just as much his as he was hers! I read the book in one day and the read part two the next day!! Im anxiously awaiting the third installment!

If there is one series you want to start then this is the one!! It completely had you entranced by the first chapter and you will devour it. It had everything you wanted, and everything you needed, from mystery, suspense, romance and hot spiciness. Trust me, Valentino will be your favorite man. And, Isabelle was the perfect FMC. You felt everything she went through, Emanuele had done an amazing job with this storyline because it was perfection.

This is an amazing book it is the first (I'll admit) mafia romance. This has everything I enjoy in romance twist and turns when you least expect it and strong independent women. This definitely made me excited for book two!

THIS WAS SOOOO GOOD! The Veil is the first book in The Veil trilogy and Valentino were literally EVERYTHING. This is the second book I've read from this author and I am completely blown away by V.B. Emanuele's writing. You not only have sexy, hot chemistry between characters but such an amazing plot to it that keeps you sucked in from the very beginning. Can't wait to get started on the next book!!!

An amazing billionaire mafia romance.
Spice is off the charts!
I really like how this romance keeps you interested for the characters, but there is also a great plot line with lots of thrills to keep you hooked!
The chemistry these two have is incredible and I was rotting for them the whole story. I can’t wait to see where their story takes them in book two!

I read this book multiple time. I originally read one of her other books but when I loved that book I went back to read her previous books. I absolutely love it. The characters the plot.
Omg the twist and turns. I needed more. I need more. Can't wait to read more.

Let me start by saying I read this book more than once. I loved all the twists and turns it kept me on my toes just when you think you have it figured out bam you don’t . The chemistry between Isabelle and Valentino was off the charts. I can’t wait to read what happens next

With a killer storyline and multiple romance tropes that I LOVE, this book quickly sucked me in and had me turning pages faster than my eyes could read! I loved absolutely everything about this book and couldn't find anything for cons. I even went as far as buying a lace blindfold for home and a review on Instagram! I cannot wait for the next 2 books in the trilogy! VB Emanuele has a fan for life! I'll be picking up just business soon!

Omg I'm truly obsessed!! I seriously didn't want to put the book down at all. It was so amazing!! I was instantly sucked into the book. Isabelle and Valentino is such an amazing paring! Seeing their love and connection from start to finish as perfect! I love how trusting and understanding she was throughout the whole book. Of course it didn't start that way at first but loved how to grew to care and eventually love him!!
There was so many emotions through the book. I laughed, I cried, got angry and happy. Love books that give me a emotional roller coaster ride. The spice was great! It was written so well and not cringy like some books are. There was so much action too and I'm here for it!! I love her writing style! I can't wait to read the next book!!

Everything V. B. Emanuele touches turns to spicy gold, and this book is no exception. From start to finish I was so attached to and interested in the characters, I actually did not put the book down until I finished reading! If you like a dark, steamy, yet utterly romantic and swoon worthy romance, this is the book for you!

At first, things seem to be simple. Isabelle finds herself unemployed one night after her old boss, Jesse, decides to fire her, but she will keep accidentally meeting a particular client from that night. Valentino, after one night with his friends, will keep accidentally bumping into the waitress. But in their world, nothing is that simple.
This is a story filled with secrets, untold stories and surprises. When you think you have it all figured out, that is the moment V. B. Emanuele gives us another piece of the puzzle and more questions start forming. Almost every character appears to have a secret of their own. A book with a strong plot, the spice being the cherry on top.

“You are an absolute perfect piece of priceless art, Isabelle.”
I mean how could a girl not fall in love with the man that compliments her in such a way. I had been holding out on reading this until closer to The Veiling release date and now I am mad I waited so long.
Valentino Greco is a wealthy and powerful man. He keeps his life extremely private and never dated. He is a good and bad man but sees himself as just bad. A business opportunity arises that would have him protecting the daughter of a drug lord. One look at her and the answer was simple...yes, he would agree to the arrangement. Then, he sets his plan into motion but what wasn't part of the plan, his feelings for Isabelle.
Isabelle is just trying to make ends meet while attending school in NYC. She has a handsy boss that she cannot stand but needs the job. One evening a group of upper class gentleman visit the place she works at and she locks eyes with the bluest of eyes on one of the men. As she is about to turn them away her boss comes over and seats the gentleman and calls her back to his office. She ends up getting fired and upon going home her bestie informs her there is a free masquerade ball on Friday and she must attend. The idea grows on Isabelle and she agrees. She cannot forget the man with the blue eyes though. Little does she know just how much her life is about to change.
Valentino and Isabelle are so perfect for each other. He is the yin to her yang. While he is dark and mysterious she is sunshine. She teaches him to soften his exterior and he starts to experience real feelings for her. He will protect her at all costs and proves just that when someone from her past makes an appearance. Can he accept that love has finally won him over?
In true V.B. Emanuele fashion you get a story that almost starts at the end and works back around to the beginning in the middle of the book (that's the best way I can describe it). But then just when you think you will finally get some answers nope another plot twist pops up and then another and then yet another. I love how her stories flow so smoothly yet you are questioning every single character and their motifs. I am happy to say this did not end in a bad cliffhanger like I was suspecting and now I am moving on to book two.....Unveiled!
I mean how could a girl not fall in love with the man that compliments her in such a way. I had been holding out on reading this until closer to The Veiling release date and now I am mad I waited so long.
Valentino Greco is a wealthy and powerful man. He keeps his life extremely private and never dated. He is a good and bad man but sees himself as just bad. A business opportunity arises that would have him protecting the daughter of a drug lord. One look at her and the answer was simple...yes, he would agree to the arrangement. Then, he sets his plan into motion but what wasn't part of the plan, his feelings for Isabelle.
Isabelle is just trying to make ends meet while attending school in NYC. She has a handsy boss that she cannot stand but needs the job. One evening a group of upper class gentleman visit the place she works at and she locks eyes with the bluest of eyes on one of the men. As she is about to turn them away her boss comes over and seats the gentleman and calls her back to his office. She ends up getting fired and upon going home her bestie informs her there is a free masquerade ball on Friday and she must attend. The idea grows on Isabelle and she agrees. She cannot forget the man with the blue eyes though. Little does she know just how much her life is about to change.
Valentino and Isabelle are so perfect for each other. He is the yin to her yang. While he is dark and mysterious she is sunshine. She teaches him to soften his exterior and he starts to experience real feelings for her. He will protect her at all costs and proves just that when someone from her past makes an appearance. Can he accept that love has finally won him over?
In true V.B. Emanuele fashion you get a story that almost starts at the end and works back around to the beginning in the middle of the book (that's the best way I can describe it). But then just when you think you will finally get some answers nope another plot twist pops up and then another and then yet another. I love how her stories flow so smoothly yet you are questioning every single character and their motifs. I am happy to say this did not end in a bad cliffhanger like I was suspecting and now I am moving on to book two.....Unveiled!

I feel in love with her writing after I read Tryst and now I can't wait to read ALL of her books, and this trilogy is no exception.
This book really has it all, from mystery and thrill, to romance and steam. World building is just amazing and characters are even better. I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read this whole trilogy, because I need more of this world for sure.
So, if you are a fan of billionaire romance and dark romance than this book is PERFECT for you. It will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. So sit back, get your book, read and enjoy the ride because it will be a good one.

V.B. Emanuele really sucked me in with this book. If you love billionaire hotties who are also Mafia Dons. You will like this one!! Oh and did I mention he’s an Italian billionaire hottie.
Isabelle moved to New York for college ends up loving the city and stays. She works at a bar with a slimy boss. One night she just wants to get done with work and five minutes before closing time a group of men come in for drinks. She tries to turn them away and her boss yells at her and she ends up losing her jobs. When she gets home her best friend tells her about a masquerade and convinces her to go with her. At the masquerade is where things start to pick up. Things happen and she goes home to Valentino’s home but she doesn’t know who he is and whenever she is in the same room as him she has to wear a blindfold. From there this book just gets better.
The plot twists which there are a few and the overall chemistry of the main character are so good. I am even invested in a few of the side characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

When she is 'bought' by a secret but very wealthy buyer, she is surprised to see that the contract she signs ensures she must live with her buyer, but cannot know his identity; she is therefore blindfolded for every interaction they have.
Unfortunately for her anonymous buyer, he cannot help but want more than their business transaction with Isabella.
Review:
This book is action packed. Do not go into this book thinking you're going to have to wait a long time for the build up--because these two have intense chemistry from the get go. "Sir" and Isabella can't resist each other, and once most secrets are revealed, they're wrapped around each other's finger. "Sir"--a man who claims he's never wanted a relationship--cannot keep himself from wanting more with Isabella, and Isabella overlooks all of her qualms to the heart of the man keeping her (initially) at arms length.
I think what was most enjoyable is how quickly I could read this book. It may be 375 pages, but I read it so very fast and am excited to read the next book.

This story is just the beginning for these love birds, from family good and evil, this story will keep you turning the pages. V.B does amazing always, gives the characters the perfect touch of charisma and charm with the erotic twist, steamy scenes and if course the twist and turns as all of her stories do.
I highly recommend any of her books The Veil Triolgy is definitely the top of my list, next to the Club Euphoria series. She has definitely earned her place on my bookshelf next to E.L James.

I loved how the beginning of the story set up a scenario that was an illusion to the story.
Isabelle has been trying on her own. Taking crap from her boss, not knowing how close he's actually woven into her life.
It was more than just a sleazy boss, as his plans were jeopardized by Valentino.
The beginning stages of their contact was intense as he hid behind secrecy and was slowly having his obsession turn into something more.
I loved the intricacy of their relationship how it grew as the story unfolded. The plot that keeps on thickening were the characters all have more to the story then what is initially disclosed.
This book keeps you on your toes and is suspenseful while waiting to see how it all comes together.
