A brand new second chance romance from S.A. Clayton set in her new Harbour Cove series!
Hannah Baker knew leaving Harbour Cove was a mistake the second she reached the outer limits, but it was too late. She was moving in with her boyfriend, starting over and trying her best to get over the fact that the feelings she had for her best friend were anything but platonic.
Cash Harris was everything she wanted in a man; strong, loving, and fiercely loyal to those he loved, and that's why it hurt so much that he just let her go without so much as a fight.
Five years is a long time and can completely change someone, and Hannah knows that first hand. Why else would she be leaving in the middle of the night while her boyfriend is out. He's changed, and not for the better.
Hannah just hopes Cash hasn't changed that much over the last few years because he's her only hope at escape.
S.A. Clayton lives in a small town outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband and her scary large collection of books that seem to take over every room. She has worked on both sides of the publishing industry, both in a bookstore and for actual publishing companies. Although she loved both for different reasons, she found that writing was her true passion and has spent the last few years breaking into the industry as best she can. She is a lover of all things romance and began her writing journey in her late twenties. Since then, she has immersed herself in the romance genre and couldn't be happier. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys binging a great Netflix show (Stranger Things anyone?), baking (because who doesn't love cookies!), and spending time with her family.
I waited until about a week and a half ago to sit down and just get lost in the Harbour Cove series by SA Clayton and I have to say, it was a pretty glorious binge-read experience! I knew from experience, since I’ve read all her words, that the individual stories would be just long enough for me to go from one to the other in a mere couple of days. I love being able to do that, especially if there’s even a small connection from one book to the next.
Hoping for Her (book 1): Drew & Katie packed a punch to the #feels and at the same time was endearing and heartwarming. 4 stars
Falling for Her (book2): Cash & Hannah also packed a punch for me, and I found their story inspiring and full of hope. A wonderful second chance to get it right journey full of emotion and friendship and love! 5 stars
Waiting for Her (book 3): Okay, I only thought I was enjoying this series because Max & Addison’s journey was so good that I thought my heart would burst from it all! They are definitely the couple to beat LOL There is nothing not to love about this story, from the friendship growth to the romance growth to every single circumstance! 5 stars
Staying for Her (book 4): A fake engagement and living together … bwahahahahaha! Obviously, I’ve read this trope a gazillion times, as you can see from my laughter, but every author has their own voice & style and Clayton put her own spin to it. Not gonna lie, I found a lot of the dramatics a bit over the top and they just kept pilling. When stories are this short, they can easily go off the arils fast and in my opinion, this story would have achieved the same result, a HEA, with so much drama. That’s my 2 cents lol 3 stars
Perfect for Her (book 5): Once again, heartwarming, and emotional, Mark & Harlow’s story touched my heart! I wasn’t a fan of the secondary characters behaviors from time to time, but not enough to make me #twitchy LOL Mark’s character surprised me the most (in a good way lol) because I’ve known him from previous books, and I just didn’t expect what I got but I’m also happy I got it! Confused lol? Read the series and you won’t be! 4 stars
I decided to just review all four stories in one review because there’s honestly not too much detail that can be given about the individual stories without giving away the plot and I wanted to showcase the series more than the individual books because this is a series I believe you should invest from the first book to the last. Technically, it could be said these are standalone stories, but I’m not going to say that. *shrug* That’s it folks. Go forth and binge :)
My April reads are getting better and better i swear. This novella was a great read that ended way before i was ready for it. Cash and Hanna both have things that they regret but none as the one where they didn't take the necessary steps to confess how they really feel for each other. A few years have passed but the feelings still linger and now when they're finally back together nothing will stand in the way, not even a crazy ex.
As said this ended way to fast, but now I'm looking forward to see how our next couple navigate that is know as hidden feelings.
Yet again S.A. Clayton has written another wonderful story in her Harbour Cove series. Drama, angst, romance, and friendship, with a touch of spice to make FALLING FOR HER another enjoyable and spicy read.
Hannah and Cash had been the best of friends for years, both with secret crushes on each other, even moving in together as roommates. When Hannah leaves not only is a friendship broken, hearts are too, especially when neither expressed their true feelings for one another. Fast forward five years and Cash is stunned and mortified when a battered and bruised Hannah turns up on his doorstep.
An emotional story from it's beginning, FALLING FOR HER, was a chance for two people to move past the regrets of the past toward their dreams of the future. Although Hannah's situation is devastating, I love that she had the strength to remove herself from it. Cash automatically puts himself into protective mode, but he may ruin any chance with Hannah when his mouth speaks before his brain is given the chance to think. I loved these two together, their banter at times amusing, their schmexyness hot, but it was the chemistry between them that really sparkled.
Two books in and the Harbour Cove series is fast becoming one of my favourites. I love the friendship that this group of men have, it's supportive, encouraging, but also has some amusing antics too. Next up is Max, he's head over heels for Allie, but things aren't going to be easy.
FALLING FOR HER: emotional, heartwarming, and enjoyable
It’s been five years since Hannah make the biggest mistake of her life by moving away with her boyfriend and leaving her hometown and her best friend Cash behind. She has escaped the nightmare her life become and hopes that despite the distance between them Cash will be there when she needs someone the most.
The biggest regret that Cash has is allowing Hannah to leave town without telling her how he feels. Having her back in his life is a dream come true and there is nothing he won’t do to protect her from the past so that they can have the future they have always wanted.
Although it was a painful journey Cash and Hannah have always belonged together and when they reunite it is like they have never been apart.
I recieved an ebook ARC in exchange for an honest review of this book.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick read with a lot of romance and a dash of spice. Even though it was rather short, you can feel the passion between the two main characters as you go through the different events in the book. I also enjoyed the logic behind the story. I think in some romance novels, there is a lot of things mentioned that aren't very likely to happen in real life but this book showed a version where finding one another can happen. I really enjoyed it!
Best friends that were both afraid to tell the other they were in love with them. That was Cash and Hannah. Finally, forcing herself to move on Hannah moved away with her boyfriend. Cash watched her walk out of his life. Now five years later, Hannah has nowhere else to go so she shows up on Cash's doorstep bruised and broken down.
I enjoyed this second chance romance about two best friends finally admitting that they love each other. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hannah and Cash are best friends and I loved their relationship before. There us abuse and a stalker so there may be triggers for some. But the story is sweet and sexy and boy was it steamy.
This is the second book in the series. They can be read as standalone books. The book is kind of a second chance romance. Cash and Hannah loved each other but neither told the other. Hannah thinks that she will never have the love she wants so she settles for another. However, that other turns out to be abusive. Now five years have passed and Hannah has a plan to leave her boyfriend. Hopefully Cash will take her in and help her start over. Cash can’t believe his eyes when he opens his door and Hannah is there on his porch. He wants to know what happened but he also won’t waste his second chance with her. This book is a short wonderful read. Cash and Hannah have known each other a very long time. There may be some triggers for some readers and this book does involve abusive. I love the characters in this book and the series. The guys are always there for each other and have made a family. The series is about each guys finding their person. Great job S.A. Clayton. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Hannah and Cash are childhood friends who both fell in love but didn’t want to admit it incase the other didn’t feel the same. There was no build up, no childhood stories. The book jumped straight into it.
Hannah escapes a abusive relationship and returns to Cash. She doesn’t deal with the trauma, she jumps straight onto Cash’s D.
The woman still has injuries from her last beating and only cares about sex? Be realistic. After 5 years of abuse this poor woman would be traumatised.
The whole book feels rushed, most of the book is just sex scenes. I don’t mind a good sex scene or two, but when the sex is longer than the story that isn’t something that I’m into.
For a novella, this story packs a punch with the readers emotions. That though makes a good book. Yes the story of Hannah and Cash could have gone full length but I feel Ms Clayton allowed this couple a chance to shine just as bright within the pages written. This is a friend's to lovers romance with added spice of crazy EX. Definitely recommend.

Hannah and Cash are best friends until Hannah up and leaves with her boy friend, cutting all ties with Cash. 5 horrific years of abuse later has her turning up on his doorstep. As Cash has always been in love with her he immediately takes her in. When Hannah's ex comes looking and nearly kills her, Cash takes matters into his own hands and get him locked up. A beautifully written second chance at love for 2 best friends.
Yay we get the second book in Harbour Cove and I’m super excited. This is Hanna and Cash’s story and I love that they have history. I loved Hanna’s back story which I’m not going to say much about but will say if you are triggered by reading of abuse this may be triggering to you. It’s a very sweet story of true friendship and love a must read.
Second of the series. This is a quick read. Lots of stuff packed in it though. Best friends who cannot admit to each other they’ve fallen in love. The h choosing to leave town with a new boyfriend who beats the stuffing out of her. The former best friend being her refuge.
Thought that the book started well but then deteriorated to feeling like I was reading tales about teenagers. Staying with someone for 5years who beats the crap out of you, then running to your best friend who you fell out with, and oh yeh you don’t file a restraining order on the abuser. Sounds like the next book is more of the same.
This is the second book of this series. The story dynamics touches my heart. I can relate to Hannah in many ways. I loved how the plot has such an easy flow. Hannah and Cash are best friends who've loved each other since they were 16 and didn't even realize it. Of course life throws a wrench in their path. But at the end will it be a HEA for them ? Only one way to find out is to read the book 😃
This doesn’t deserve starts so I’m not giving any. The characters have multiple personality and they keep making mistakes because they’re dumb, the dialogues don’t make sense and everything is just horrible.
Well another SA book that I freaking LOVE!!! I love this series and we're only 2 books in. I can't get enough of this group of friends.
Cash and Hannah know each other from their childhood, and when Hannah leaves without either of them saying to each other how they REALLY feel about each other, Cash's life is turned upside down. He can't believe it.
Hannah is back on his doorstep, beaten up, Cash is soooooo beside himself. Hannah has to tell him what she's been through in all of those years away from her family and friends.
Cash wants to kill this guy that did that to his Hannah. Hannah is trying to keep it all away from Cash until it comes crashing down around them.
I really enjoyed their storyline. Yes, some of it was hard to read, but wow!!! These two. I love them!!! I loved after the fact that Hannah comes clean. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!! I love all the characters!
Some of my fave quotes: 1. There's something about him that makes me want to punch his face in. - OMG! YES ME TOO! 2. Is there a reason I should stay? - I was screaming at Cash at this point!! SCREAMING at him! 3. You were too dense to see the red flags five years ago. - OH NO! I wanted to reach through my kindle and punch Cash at this point!
The story of Hannah and Cash is a fantastic second chance romance with a suspenseful twist caused by an abusive ex. Hannah and Cash were really great characters, with their flaws and their secrets. I enjoyed their back story as childhood best friends secretly in love with each other but not willing to risk friendship if those feelings aren’t returned. Their friendship is divided when Hannah moves away to live with her boyfriend, not anticipating the abusive nature he was hiding. The details of the abuse were just enough to know it was dangerous without it being over the top. In her escape she goes to the one person who was always there for her, Cash. There was tons of steam as these two finally get a second chance to confess their feelings. It won’t be smooth sailing though since her ex is anything but ready to let her go. The danger and suspense added an extra layer to this story that I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend reading this book so that you can experience this second chance romance.

Cash and Hannah have been best friends ever since they met as kids. As they got older, feelings developed on both sides but they never admitted to these feelings to each other. When Hannah decides to move a few hours away with her new boyfriend Steven, Cash knows he has lost his chance with his soulmate.
5 years later, Hannah appears on Cashs doorsteps, beaten and bruised, running from the guy she moved away with. Their feelings for each other are finally revealed, and they are perfect for each other!
But, Hannah's ex doesnt take her leaving him very well, and Cash will do whatever it takes to keep his girl safe.
Oh my goodness, Cash and his dirty mouth are EVERYTHING!!!! This is an emotion filled, quick, spicy read and I absolutely love it! I can't wait for more!!!
I’m enjoying this series so far. Hannah and Cash gave me some more time to get to know everyone, as well as everything that came with their love and fears from five years ago. These two had presumed unrequited love and a lot of worry about ruining everything. Little did they know that even the one event that caused their separation wouldn’t be anywhere near enough to ruin them and all that they were meant to be. Sure, stupid words were said. Both then and now. But these two did manage to communicate more often than not and they really worked together when it counted most. Thanks to the love and bravery that both Hannah and Cash finally let run their show, they found their forever together. Just in time, too, because I’ve been wondering about Addison and Max, and it looks like their time is coming next!
Hannah and Cash are best friends, she starts dating Steven, Cash never liked him. Cash has been in love with Hannah forever and has been to scared to loose her to tell. She tells him she is moving in with Steven, which causes a fight between them, and then tells him it will be hours away.
Five years later, Hannah is escaping from Steven, he has taken control of her life, has been abusive and she cannot take it any more. When an opportunity arises, she leaves and heads to the only one who can help her, Cash.
Cash is in a funk, it is Hannah's birthday and he has not talked to her in five years he just wants to be alone. When there is a knock at the door, the last person he expected to see is Hannah. She is bruised and battered.
Will Cash finally tell her how he feels?.

Falling for Her is the second novella in the Harbour Cove series. This has been an enjoyable series that keeps getting better. The characters were likable, the storyline was entertaining, and it has that small-town charm. Cash loved Hannah for years but was too scared of losing his friendship with her. Instead of telling her of his feelings, he lets her leave town. Hannah wanted Cash to step up and admit if he had feelings for her. When he didn’t she knew she needed to move on, so she leaves town with her boyfriend. After years of abuse, she finally has the courage to leave her boyfriend and returns to Harbour Cove. Now that she has returned, will they have the courage to admit their feelings for each other? This was a charming book and I recommend it. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the second book in this incredible series and is Cash and Hannah’s story. These two have been best friends for years, and have secretly crushed on each other, and when Hannah leaves town with her boyfriend for a fresh start, their hearts are broken. Now 5-years later Hannah arrives back in town battered and bruised, and Cash will do whatever he must to protect and keep her safe from her ex. This is a well written fast paced story, which is emotionally charged, with undeniable chemistry, drama, angst, regrets, secrets, friendships, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to a heartwarming all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Hannah Baker and Cash Harris.
Hannah Baker has just left her ex boyfriend and is returning to her home time that she left 5 years ago. When she return she go to her best friends house to see them.
Cash Harris had a hard time with his best friend leaving him so that she move in with her new boyfriend. He doesn't want her to leave and want to tell her but he having a hard time. Five years later she returned and wants to start over.
This was an emotional story to read. It has action and drama throughout. There are a few funny parts that had me giggling to.
I received a complimentary copy via Booksprout. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
Cash and Hannah have been best friends since they were very young, and neither letting on that they were in love with the other one. Hannah left five years ago with a guy she thought was okay, but after a short time, he became increasingly abusive. Having enough, she leaves him and heads back to Cash and they reconnect. Loved the characters, their banter and great backstories. The whole group was strong for each other. The storyline has plenty of drama, danger, a crazy ex, a pregnant friend, scary text messages, steam, and much more. Loved the connection between Hannah and Addison. Fun ending.

if you’re looking for a quick fast paced read and don’t have triggers this is a sweet Spicey quick read! Hannah and Cash have a history between them but when Hannah chooses another guy over him they fall apart. Soon after realizing she’s landed in an abusive relationship she flees back to the safety of Cash. Cash has a dirty mouth, a spunky attitude and boy next door appearance. Check your triggers
Spicey, short and sweet. This book is book two in a series with book three on the way. 3.5/5⭐️ 1.5/5 🌶

Absolutely loved this little page turner! So much tension and emotion was packed into this short story. Hannah and Cash are a perfect example of friends to lovers although the heartbreak and hardship that happens first makes you wonder if they are ever going to be more than friends. This book does deal with domestic violence but is well written and as a survivor I thought Hannah’s story shows strength and gives hope to others. I throughly enjoyed it and just wish it was longer so I could’ve carried on reading!
Read The Blurb! If you can't handle the trigger warning, don't get this book or at least don't take it out on the author when you were warned!!
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too. This is especially a joy given that it is a shorter story than I usually read.
