I'm a wife and mother of three teenage kids. I've been married to the same wonderful man for twenty years. I've decided that if I can survive raising three kids then I can survive anything!! I haven't uttered the Mama's curse yet, but it could happen any day now. You know the one..."I hope you have a child just like you someday."
I'm an avid reader and lover of all things romance. I've spent my entire adult life waiting to follow my dreams of becoming a writer. One day this past summer, I decided to just do it. No more wishing and hoping. I haven't quit my day job, but that is my ultimate goal...make a living telling stories of love.
I write contemporary gay fiction. I hope you will love reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
While the series has potential, several inconsistencies in the storytelling can be distracting. The first book lacks a clear storyline, leaving readers questioning if the pharma robberies are a part of the main plot or an extended side story.
The second book is an improvement, but the author still struggles with pacing and keeping their characters consistent. The romantic subplots feel forced, and the tough special ops characters behave unrealistically, while the romantic personality is the opposite behaving one. It's not done seamlessly.
Unfortunately, the final book also suffers from a lack of clear narrative and inconsistent characterizations. Additionally, the inner monologues can be excessively descriptive, detracting from the overall quality of the storytelling.
Although the salon's name, Curl Up and Dye, is clever, it creates a depressing atmosphere that doesn't align with its actual vibe described - "curl up and die" is what I see each time...
While the smutty scenes are somewhat well-written, they can be a bit excessive, making it necessary to skip over some parts. The series has potential, but the inconsistencies and excessive descriptions can be distracting.
All books I've read by her, make me wonder if this is possibly one her earlier works, because this was really not well executed in comparison.
I went into this boxed set blind, having never read in the Blissville world and I am hooked. I love this little town and I want to know everyone's stories. It is fun finding a new universe to sink into, especially one with equal parts heart, humor, and heat!! I can't pick out one book to highlight because I want them to all be my best friend. I also loved the narration and the way the performance brought everyone alive.
