Thea knew Johnny wasn't a happily-ever-after kind of guy. And now he had his little girl's impending motherhood to think about.

The poor hero of this romance! His ex-girlfriend tells him she's pregnant right after his teenage daughter tells him she's pregnant. Parallel romances ensue as the younger and older couples face parenthood. I enjoyed the rural New Mexico setting in this book, and the characters were well-done also--the hero is a rancher with a troubled past and the heroine is waitress/artist living in a converted convenience store, and the young people are sympathetically yet realistically portrayed.

Great story of friends (with benefits), but both with emotional baggage (his perhaps deeper than hers), becoming pregnant, getting married after a time (he offers immediately, but she refuses until she's in her seventh month), and eventually realizing they are in love (but not at the same time: she realizes it a lot sooner than he does).

Well written, with engaging characters, and enough plot twists to keep the story moving well. A very enjoyable and entertaining read.

Nice little story. Hero is raising a teenaged girl on his own, heroine has been having “friend” sex with hero—and she’s pregnant too. And they both wind up telling him on the same day. He proposes to heroine, heroine recoils in horror—they both have problem pasts, and hers involve multiple miscarriages. This is just a lovely, lovely typical Templeton story.

I loved this book. Templeton's voice in this one is different--sophisticated, actually. We get peeks inside the characters--just enough to be intrigued, to like them, to pull for them. Don't want to do a spoiler, so won't mention my favorite scene, near the end of the book, but I loved it. This is a stellar series contemporary.

Karen Templeton is definitely one of my favorite authors for a reason. I adore her writing style and the emotion her novels induce. Definitely recommend this one.
