State's story came in short and saucy with Courtney being his one and only and he knew it from the minute he laid eyes on her.
Instalove is a thang my friends.
Courtney is sweet, a little shy and not at all aware of the power she wields when it comes to State. I loved that about her. She really is the most protective sweetheart of her man.
State is all kinds of sweet, protective and dirty AF. He also holds Courtney so dearly it's endearing. This man knows how to treat his woman and how to get her and not mess around. I am all for that.
Both characters are aware from the start that there is something between them. The crazy chemistry, immediate tension and quick to build connection all felt very natural considering the timing. They just fit so well and whilst they are very different, I also feel like that's why they worked so well!.
As per with Lila, she brings all the hilarious banter, larger than life characters, actionpacked crazy shenanigans and all round feel good feels. It was a short read but it packs a punch and while I'll say its not my top favourite of hers, because I'm a greedy bitch who wants more... State and Courtney quenched my thirst and gave me a fun, saucy, sweet and at times a heart pounding read. What more could I ask for!!.
I do love me some Lila Rose.

Holy Damn!!
Sooooooo.... I can confirm INSTA-LOVE is most definitely a thing because I instantly fell in love with State. What a tattoo covered / sexy as hell / sweet and uber protective Man!
But...
Sadly for me he only has eyes for the curvy and beautiful Courtney. The moment these two meet sparks flew, there chemistry sizzled and the connection they shared was intense and yet beautiful.
Their journey (being a novella) is quick, drama filled, action-packed, steamy, humorous, and swoon-worthy.
I loved Courtney. She went from a quiet and meek mouse, to a sassy and absolutely fierce lioness particularly when her man needed her. Her amazingness definitely came from her family. Her brothers are hilarious and her parents are absolutely EPIC. I want them to adopt me!!!
I'm loving the Diamond MC brotherhood Lila Rose has created and I can't wait for more of this series.

State is a novella so things are pretty insta, but it was perfect in my eyes despite the fact that I would do anything for more of State & Courtney, a curvy girl who knocked him on his behind from the moment he spied her at a club party. Their chemistry was intense, shooting sparks right out of my kindle so the sexy times were HOT HOT HOT. It really seemed like Courtney was a mouse, but trust me, still waters run deep, and when the situation calls for it, she becomes the fiercest lioness, and lawd help anyone who gets caught in her crosshairs LOL! If all this goodness isn't enough, the cast of supporting characters were outstanding, and while the MC men were awesome, Courtney's family definitely came close to stealing the show completely as they provided some hilarious moments to have me laughing loudly. I LOVED this story so much, and certainly CANNOT WAIT for more of this MC, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book was giving to me as a ARC by the author for a honest review.
I will say this I want a book with Torch, I’ve said it before in Country book im a say it again until he gets one. He is one individual who interested me. Also I want a book with Death he’s one person I’ve also waited on since Polished series.
But besides that I enjoyed reading State and Courtney story even though Country name is spelled something like hers and got me confused A little. lol
I know one thing Courtney was a ride or die for State and looked out for him I was glad that she did what she did and prove to his friends that she’s the one for him etc. plus that Isla girl she was something else especially with how she treated Court in the beginning that chick wasn’t her friend. It’s not much I can say about this book to be honest that it was interesting and that’s it. Besides what I did written.

Here’s the thing, I was already in love with State from when I first read about him in Fumbled Love and this book was the icing on the cake!

When push comes to shove, their chemistry cannot be denied. I loved that the alpha male was saved by his petite woman. It was a great to see the damsel save the knight! I enjoyed reading 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 and am giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Excellent insta story that I wish had more words! I loved Courtney & State! Their personalities balanced each other and made for a delicious, steamy, humorous journey! The timeline of their story runs parallel to Country’s story (the first book in this series) but because it’s a short(ish) novella, I didn’t find it tedious in the least.
These two weren’t the only ones adding humor and spark to the story! Courtney’s family made me ridiculously happy! I’m not even sure who I love to read more, her brothers or Courtney & State! #TrueStory

I absolutely loved the VP of the Diamond MC, State!! He was brought to his knees when Courtney walked in to the clubhouse with Country’s woman. There is an instant connection on his part but when he goes to the bathroom she ghosts him. They meet up again and she agrees to go out on a date with him after he stalks her to her workplace and defends her. Then on their first date there is drama from his stalker and she has absolute faith in him when he is put in a precarious situation. Will she be his ride or die?

Loved It!!
Yay!! I finally got to read this author and I’ve fallen in love. What a great short MC book that I couldn’t put down. Yes, it’s an insta love but not everyone has a drawn-out courtship and the heart knows what the heart wants. In this case it was State laying eyes on Court in the clubhouse and knew he had to know more.
I loved Court and her family was awesome as well and for State, what can you say about a hot tatted boy boy biker who will hunt you down. I am definitely going back to read Country and other books by this author. I’ve become a fan.

As always and wonderfully so, Lila has present a comical, steamy with a dash of sexy, MC romance with whimsical family moments that have you giggling and total alpha owning that make you flush.
The beginning of State and Courtney is not even a mellow first introduction! I mean, what would you do after that kind of first date?!? Courtney's family is great, loving her Mom who goes leaping over boundaries and her father pushes her buttons. Classic!

A short, spicy, and suspenseful read. State is immediately intrigued when he sees Courtney at the MC’s Clubhouse. Courtney is interested too but doesn’t think State would ever be interested in a curvy girl like her. He gives us a lot of swoon-worthy moments proving that’s false. When club business adds some danger to their relationships, State’s worried that his life might be too tough for Court to handle but she’s determined to show her loyalty.
This was such a fun read. Lila’s MC books are super quick reads because they’re action packed and full of totally obsessed men.

Loved Courtney and State's story! Love at first sight, for State ? Or just maybe knowing she is his ride and die.
We enjoyed State's character, loved him, in fact thought he was a sweetheart. Persistence pays off in his case. State and Courtney made a beautiful couple perfect for one another, we loved their chemistry and that fact that they just fit. Fated to meet, that turned into a beautiful love story.
Courtney was my favorite character, loved how much faith she had in State even though their time together was limited. Loved how she took charge and had his back. We found Courtney to be a kicka** character, we love her spunk and sass and just overall personality and loved that she had such an awesome family who was supportive and open-minded.
Just a great story all around, loved it and its cast of characters, this current story made a great addition to the ongoing series.

This is a biker romance between State and Courtney who fall for each other pretty much right away. I have seen them in other books so it was a treat to read their story and how they met and got together.
This is book 2 in the series about men and the women who love them in a MC club which is a new series by the author.
The first book I have not read because it seemed to have a love triangle. This book is a stand alone and I never felt lost as I read it. It also seems to run along the same timeline as the first book in the series.
Courtney has a not so nice friend who takes her to a MC club event and then ditches her but thats how Court meets State/Dominic. They both fall hard for each other but Court thinks there is no way State could be into her and she runs away.
State falls instantly for Court and he decides to give chase and comes after her. Courtney has a really awesome family. Her dad made me crush on him and her mom is awesome and her brothers were so adorable. When their first date goes sideways I love that she reached out to them to help her out. I also loved how the guys in the MC club see how awesome and special she is and fall hard for her too.
One aspect of this series is that the guys in the MC club run a P and P Brothel which I was not a fan off. Its safe for the girls and it seemed to be a higher end but I was not a fan of them owning it or reading about them owning it.
If you are looking for a light read with not much angyst and some insta love then you will adore this novella.

State is book 2 in the Diamond MC series. It is a novella describing the journey to love for State and Courtney. Sexy and steamy but also with a little heightened suspense, State is a really good read for those who love MC romance by this author, which I do!!
State has found his life and bed lacking recently. Bored of the club girls, State is now at the stage were he looking for something more fulfilling that a warm body. To his surprise in walks the friend of his Pres’ current fling. One look and State is a goner.
Courtney has not had the best luck with men. There always seems to be something wrong with them or they immediately criticise her and make her feel insecure in herself. Being on the heavier side and Courtney is comfortable with the way she looks. It is nice to have a bit of junk in the trunk. When she accepts an invitation to go to the Diamond MC clubhouse, the last thing she was expecting was to fall for the tall, dark and ooh so sexy biker. But of course she starts to think there is no way he could want her in the same way, WRONG!!
State is hooked!! Courtney is sunk they just have a small hurdle to get over, namely a wrongful arrest and Courtney’s insecurities. This book has some laugh out loud bits. The characters are really likeable and you are totally rooting for them to get it together. No stress and wanting to throw your kindle at the wall!!
Enjoy State and look forward to the next in the series💋

Can love strike at first sight? Well get ready for a tale of fun, chemistry and a love no one saw coming by Lila Rose in State. We have his little mouse aka Courtney Anthony who just wants one thing, love like all of us. The thing is that she is so opposite from the women State has been with it makes her well wonder what his true actions are for her. Being single has made her see that maybe she is not beautiful enough yet with State he makes her feel sexy and desirable. First time ever here is a guy who is so from the other side of tracks yet she feels an instant connection she has never felt for in a man. Now one thing I loved the most is when State wants something he is determined to get it no matter what it is. Courtney just blows his mind away not because of how she looks but her mind and beauty all in one. She is unlike any woman he been with it surprises him the instant attraction between them. Lila Rose shows us that sometimes opposites attracting are awesome things to go through and the happily ever afters are just as explosive as well. Only disappointment I have from this wonderful book is not enough Courtney but hot in the passion between them.

This book was pretty good. It had its cheesy, over the top moments just like a lot of books that are connected with this one but I think that if you are expecting that going in then you will find this book to be fun.
State knows that Courtney is the one for him the second she walks through the doors of the clubhouse of his MC. She seems like someone who doesn’t belong there but it doesn’t matter to State one bit. State charms Courtney and continues to pursue a relationship with Courtney, much to her delight and confusion. The two quickly fall in love and face challenges together.
I really did enjoy this book. It was just a bit of fun reading and I think that since I didn’t approach this book too seriously I was able to fully enjoy the story. I have been curious about State because we actually meet him in another book that is not a part of a series at all. So I am happy that we have finally gotten his story.
I will say that one thing that I would actually change in this book is the name of the heroine: Courtney. The only reason I would do this is because the president of State’s MC’s name is Country (and he is mentioned a surprising amount). Courtney vs Country. I kept having to reread the name to see who in the world we were talking about.
Otherwise, this book was just a bit of fun. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it for what it was.

Courtney is a quiet one, not prim and proper quiet, just a wee gun shy when it comes to men. She is not lacking in confidence in any way though. When it comes to protecting those she loves she is something to behold.
State, is a presence you can not ignore. He takes up all the oxygen when he walks into a room. He is the type of man who knows what he wants and has no qualms about what must be done to acquire it.
And the first time he saw little mouse he knew she was it for him
"I threw up a bit in my mouth all while second guessing my sexuality"
This was a light angst, sweet romance that at times bordered a bit on quirky - not negative - IDK how to explain it
I enjoyed the cast and their little idiosyncratic behaviors and was impressed by how easily I connected with them - this being a novella-length. The supporting characters were as front and center as the main characters and were just as vivid.
This was my first time meeting these characters.
I do however plan to get to know the MC a bit better 😉 and will be following this series

This is a novella so it is not a super long story but it is packed full of the moments you need to see for a book to be one that just grabs your attention and steals your heart. This book is full of action and dram and of course the amazing chemistry too. Courtney is equally as amazing as Courtney. She was once a very quiet meek girl but turns in to this sassy fierce protector of the ones she loves. She too has the most amazing family. Her brothers will crack you up and her parents are just amazing. This is a book that you do not want to miss.

The sparks were flying and they had some serious chemistry between them. This is a novella so it is not a super long story but it is packed full of the moments you need to see for a book to be one that just grabs your attention and steals your heart. This book is full of action and dram and of course the amazing chemistry too. Courtney is equally as amazing as Courtney. She was once a very quiet meek girl but turns in to this sassy fierce protector of the ones she loves. She too has the most amazing family. Her brothers will crack you up and her parents are just amazing. This is a book that you do not want to miss.

State heard of love at first sight, but didn't believe it until she walked into the clubhouse. Courtney came with a friend, she didn't know where she was going until she got there. She was a little nervous walking into the clubhouse, but she didn't stay that way for long. Because when the most beautiful man she'd ever seen walk up and introduce himself thing began to change. State felt that his dream just walked in and he had a get to know her,but club business interrupted him. He needed to get that done fast so he could get back to her. Once they started to talk it was a instant connection, but he stepped away to use the bathroom and when he came back she was gone. Well she wasn't getting away from him and when she looked up he was standing in front of her work station, she thought he was only spending time with her because her friend left her in a strange place boy was she wrong. Not only did he like spending time with her, he wanted to date her. There was an incident at their date that showed State and the club how much he meant to her, that was the beginning of their life and journey together. Good Short!😘

These two were quite the unique pairing that complimented one another nicely and they had a story to tell that was wickedly entertaining, I highly recommend you meet them!! Cute novella.
It was a little too insta, but since it's a novella, I guess it can be forgiven. But I needed more about her friendship with Isla. Her family was prob the best part they were so cute and funny. But 100% too easily accepting it almost felt like they just wanted her married off tonwhoever will have her and ensure there is babies.
There was also some very cringe parts since they only met each other like a few days prior and Courtney is telling her parents it's the love of her life (a bit disney there, was waiting for the "you cant marry someone you just met" line haha)
I think it would have been nicer if this was longer as the story line with the cop and the girl was a bit light and felt placed there just for some small drama.
Also, i don't know about everyone else, but reading pages about Courtney and Country was a mind f.... the names were ridiculously too similar. I had to go back and forth to confirm who said what too much.
I liked how she was plus size as well as this was a nice change and wasn't the main point just mentioned.

Looking for a quick read? How about a biker romance? Well then this is the book you have been craving. The only down side is the quick part of the equation. I love the characters State is simply all Alpha, sexy and tatted, basically your bad boy dream boat.
Courtney is the curvy sassy boos woman that starts off as an insecure character but quickly falls for the man that turns her into the hero of the story, fighting for her man. This is a fast and hard insta love. I wish is would have been filled with more character development. What I craved was more of the getting to know portion of the story. With all that said this was fun, sexy and filled with Alpha heat. Hitting all of a biker romance needs. maybe we will get of State and Court in the next book. I for one will be anxiously awaiting another installment to this series.

State is a quick read that will leave you breathless wanting more. I was introduced to State and Courtney in Country. I love how they fit so well together.
Courtney is a young sassy lady who meets State when a "friend" convinces her to go out for an evening of fun. During her evening out she meets State and they have off the chart chemistry between them. The great thing about Courtney is she is not like the usual young lady that hangs out at the club house. State is the VP and when he lays eyes on her for the first time he is completely smitten. He makes it his life mission to find out just who this little mouse is.
These two are perfect for each other in the fact they are both loyal and Courtney proves that within the first few times of meeting him, and they both love with everything they have.
Looking forward to the next ion the series.

Once I started reading State by Lila Rose I remembered how much I enjoyed reading her books, and how much I missed this series. I really loved reading book one in the Diamond MC series, Country, and I loved seeing how Courtney and State fell in love with one another. And seeing Country and how everything started to end with his ex was really interesting to see from a different POV.
As this is a novella, it's a great quick read, you can finish it in no time. With some novellas I find that they are far too short, pieces of the story are missing and/or they needed more information given. With State I found it to be the perfect length, the entire story was laid out concisely, with nothing left out, but it wasn't too quick to end, it was just the right length.
