Being the president of the Iron Punishers MC should’ve been enough for Reaper. Only the last year or so, has him feeling like something is missing. This book is intended for adult readers, It contains foul language, adult situations, discusses events such as stalkers, assault, torture and murder that may trigger some readers. Sexual situations are graphic. There is no cheating, no cliffhangers and it has a HEA.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
I just loved Reaper!! I've been waiting for the other MC clubs to get books and this was amazing. Can't wait to read Ink's book and the rest of the guys too.
I like how this book is connected to the author's other series, it makes for fun reading when you kinda know the characters already and the old favorites show up.
I feel like we knew Reaper a bit better than others in the club, due to his being Harper's sister. I loved seeing Reaper instantly smitten with Cheyenne and even enjoyed how Cheyenne turned him down hard at every turn at the start. Cheyenne had a very good reason, one that was so horrible the more that we learned. I was glad that the guys in the club turned to their allies and did what they could to make this threat go away. While they did accomplish that this book, I have a feeling there will be more battles to come.
I liked how this one ended, liked that we have a couple of celebrations and how the MC grew in a couple different ways.
Over 25% the book she’s terrified of him, other half is sex, sex and more sex. Tiny bit of danger.
When one of Reapers men has a sinus infection, he drags him to the doctors, and sees Cheyenne. He’s instantly attracted to her, but she’s terrified of him. She spends the next 25% hiding from him, pulling a gun on him, (I kid you not!) dragging her friend Alisse round with her away from the scary bikers. When she finally plucks up the courage to go to a family day at the compound, she sees someone there that terrifies her. Convinced that she’s been trapped, she drags Alisse through the forest in the dark, to go on the run with her. When Reaper finally catches up with her, she’s terrified and FINALLY tells him why she’s so scared of bikers.
Cheyenne does have reason to be terrified, but I’m sorry it got annoying. It seemed to drag on and on. Then when she finally believes that he’s a good guy, they have rampant sex all the time, everywhere. The danger never really comes to anything, and was boring. Sex scenes were okay until it got monotonous.
The writing just wasn’t great. Half the plot was unrealistic. Both her and Alisse can just take time off from being nurses as they’re in danger. The doctor understands as she grew up in an Mc club. Oh well that’s okay then???? Cheyenne as a nurse is so shocked after having unprotected sex that she could be pregnant. So she was never taught about contraception???
MASSIVE ERROR. You can’t have anal sex without loads and loads of preparation. He just shoved it in!! It’s so dangerous, she could have been seriously injured. And yes I know it’s only a book. But I believe that the author has a huge responsibility to make sure it’s written about correctly!!! And this wasn’t. She does the same thing in another book. DO SOME RESEARCH ON IT!!!
Having said all that. I did enjoy most of it. Reaper was lovely with her, and the club really welcomed her. Considering how she behaved towards them at first.
From the moment Reaper meets Cheyenne at a medical clinic he is intrigued. The beautiful woman isn't at all interested in being with a biker though. Reaper knows there is more to it though and he plans to get close to Cheyenne. When something happens to Cheyenne though Reaper is by her side protecting her. Cheyenne is willing to give Reaper a chance, but her past has her afraid of trusting. Reaper though proves that he is worth her trust, but what happens when her past comes back to haunt her?
Great beginning to new series. I have been waiting for Reaper's story and this one did not disappoint. Really liked Cheyenne, her story is quite unique and I found myself fascinated by her. Looking forward to the next book to come.
This is the first book of a new series by Ciara St James. Just like all the other books I have read by this author it was amazing.
I really loved the characters in this book. The guys while tough bikers were sweet and caring to the main female character and the other supporting ones as well.
This was a typical MC book in that there was some violence both on "screen" and described. There were "bunnies" but no real drama with them which was nice for a change.
There was so much more within the pages of this book as well, some laughter, angst, romance and some very hot and steamy times.
I liked the story line of the book and how it I assume will keep leading through the series. However my major issue with the MMC is that you can tell it is a women writing it. I feel like there were a number of instances where the the actions/ thoughts of the MMC are an idea of what a women may want rather than realistic of what an Alpha male who has this so called psychopathic type side.
The other issue I had was how sensitive and at times emotional the MMC was but he claimed to be able to reap souls without regret. Again I think those teo personality traits are unrealistic to the extent described in the book. It makes the MMC not as believable.
When Reaper sees Cheyenne, he thinks he’s seeing a Disney princess and he wants her. He’s been feeling out of sorts for awhile now. He is wanting what the Archangels have , just not how to go about it, without being a caveman. Cheyenne is staying under the radar due to her past. She has natural distrust of MC’s, as she was raised in one that is a natural crap shoot. She is drawn to Reaper and fights it with everything she has, but they are like magnets and are drawn together. She thinks Reaper and the club has tricked her, when she sees a ghost from her past, one who wants to own, control and abuse her. Reaper is upset that she thinks his club would do that to her, so he will move the world for his princess. The club takes care of the problem and they make her their queen and she finally feels like she is both safe and has a good future.
This was a disappointing read for me. I’m sensing a pattern in all the women in these stories and it’s not one I enjoy reading. The continued fear, emotional damage, and / or running away becomes tedious.
Cheyenne’s character wasn’t believable. She was a woman who was strong enough to getaway from a corrupt MC successfully for 10 years but she didn’t know how to shoot a gun? She stood up for herself and knew how the inner workings of an MC worked but constantly ran away in fear. Pick a character troupe you can’t have a fearful basket case and then a secure bad ass in the same person without any personal growth.
Reaper was an interesting character from prior books in The series but his book was disappointing. Obviously from the page time devoted to Ink and Alisse we know the next story up in the series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Cheyenne hated bikers with a passion and is fearful when one persists in getting to know her. Reaper has fallen hard for her and doesn't know how to get close.
The turnaround in Cheyenne,'s character was quick, but her misinterpretation of overheard conversations and events which led to her running away were irritating. I found the whole story slightly sugary sweet even though there were some violent scenes. These scenes were not completely graphically detailed however. I got fed up with all the show of affection and sweet words Reaper had for her in front of his club brothers. I thought it was too sweet.
Sigh what tf has happened to biker books? The last few years we have these mills m boon biker books that are so far removed from the original trope they shouldn't be called biker books.
They don't explain the culture, they pretend to be hard n gritty but are pink marshmallow soft. I don't read biker books for mills n boon syrupy romance, I love edgy, dark n angsty
I despair of finding a decent biker book ever again. Most I dnf nowadays except from my fav biker authors.
So if you like your biker soft n sweet read on, but let's be honest, its not true biker is it
The heroine was simply too stupid to live. Her constant tendency to jump to conclusions and then run was exhausting. I just can't go on. I'm giving up on page 150......

Reaper's Banshee by Ciara St. James, I am absolutely enjoyed this breath of fresh air. From the moment I stepped into the world of the Iron Punishers MC, I was hooked.
Reaper, the club president, exudes the perfect blend of toughness and vulnerability that kept me turning the pages. I mean, how often do you see a hardened biker grappling with doubts about finding 'the one'? His encounter with Cheyenne—his enchanting "Snow White"—is nothing short of magical.
Cheyenne’s struggle with her fear of bikers added a layer of depth that made their chemistry all the more captivating. There's this tension that crackles between them, and I found myself rooting for Reaper to break through her defenses. Watching him pour his heart into proving they’re meant to be was both heartwarming and exhilarating.
I also loved the connections to the author’s previous series! Seeing familiar faces made the experience feel like a warm reunion while still offering fresh excitement. The ending? Perfection! I appreciated the celebratory vibes as the MC evolved, demonstrating growth that felt both genuine and satisfying. If you’re looking for a ride filled with passion, character growth, and a sprinkle of humor, grab this book.
OMG Ciara St. James You my dear have outdid yourself with Reaper's book!!! Talk about surprise jaw dropping speechless moments & I definitely didn't expect that I'd find myself reading about some very talented alpha biker men in this MC! This was such an amazing book as all the others & yet so much more! Kudos to you & tyvm for making my day with this surprising story!
Reaper's character always had me laughing every time he made an appearance in previous books of the DFAW & HCAW MC Series & been wanting to find out if he would fall just as fast or hard for his one! And fall fast he did 😂 like all the rest. Except this Alpha had a secret weapon & so did a few of his men like Ink who I am excited to get to his book soon! All I'll say is this MC hit my heart just with my favorite country artists & their songs being mentioned in this book! I hope to see more of these surprises in their upcoming books because this was a brilliant surprise addition to all the crazy drama that surrounds each aloha when he falls!
As for Cheyenne's character she had such a heart breaking past & yet she was such a compassionate person who cared for & protected others. And she was a type of best friend you'd want in your life for sure! I enjoyed reading Reaper & Cheyenne's book & look forward to Ink's next!
Reaper’s Banshee is the first installment in Ciara St. James’ Iron Punishers MC series. It chronicles the romantic journey of Cheyenne Collins and Holden “Reaper” Grier. In addition to their romance, this book introduces readers to a host of secondary characters. Ms. St. James weaves suspense into this romantic plot through the antagonists of members of an outlaw MC, the Soldiers of Corruption. This is a brutal and evil MC. The primary antagonist is Serpent, the son of the MC’s president, Slither. Also playing a supporting role as antagonist is Cheyene’s father, Ogre. Cheyenne escapes the evil hold and intentions of both her father and Serpent and survives for years. Unbeknownst to her, they continue to search for her. Serpent finds her in Bristol and with the Iron Punishers. Will she remain free? Will this have a negative impact on her relationship with Reaper? What happens to Serpent? To find out you must read this book.
Ms. James pens a delightful romance with strong multi-layered lead characters. Har lead characters are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. I enjoyed their growth as the story progressed. I liked the strong dialog. I appreciated the dual point of view to tell their back stories. Ms. James use of descriptive language paints vivid scenes. Well done, Ms. James.
This was my first book by this author after devouring a LOT of other MC romance books. I liked it and I am invested in reading more of the series, but there were some things that seemed incongruous or far fetched. Cheyenne had been on the run from a violent cult for years, but she never changed her first name? She had a gun in her purse so we assume she had to have a concealed carry permit, but then she didn’t really know how to defend herself with it. She seemed to lack basic situational awareness. It’s a wonder the bad guys didn’t find her sooner. She got complacent. And let’s talk about the timeline of the main relationship. Cheyenne went from being a virgin to trying to get knocked up by the first guy who told her he loved her (after a minute of knowing her). She went from Disney Princess to sex fiend. And I was frustrated that neither female tried to get back to work. They just let others take care of them. I am use to female leads who are more stubborn and independent. But I’m hoping we get to see her character evolve in this series as she becomes a wife, mother and MC Queen.
Reaper’s Banshee is the first book in the Iron Punishers MC series and follows Reaper as he meets Cheyenne when taking one of his brothers to the doctors office, but Cheyenne is terrified of him and he has his work cut out to prove that he is different from the people in her past.
I’ve loved Reaper when he’s popped up in other books written by. Kara St James and I was excited to read his book. I thought this was a good book with a storyline that kept me interested and also had me thinking if the plot from this book would carry on further when other brothers get their stories told. I liked the characters. Although Cheyenne first comes over as a meek character, she really did have some strength to her and I loved her by the end of the book.
Overall, this was a really good book and a great start to the series. I’m looking forward to reading the next few books.
JUST WOW! I didn't know quite what to expect with this book but I have to say I was most definitely pleasantly surprised. The whole book is SAF! Reaper is a big bad@ss alpha biker but when it comes to Cheyenne he is head over heals for her. The first time he laid his eyes on her it was turn off the oven honey this turkey is done. There are some shocking revelations throughout the book. At times the suspense is intense and had my insides jittery wondering when something was gonna happen. I laughed and at times I even had tears in my eyes. The horrifying life that Cheyenne was raised in was heartbreaking. The way the Iron Publishers except Cheyenne and her best friend Alisse into the club family was so heartwarming even though there were a few bumps in the road. I'm so excited to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
This was a good read. The writing felt a little immature at times. Nonetheless, it was good. The reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because of Cheyenne, the FMC. She annoyed me about 50 percent of the book. She judged Reaper's MC due to her past, and I get it, but she judged Reaper and the Punisher's, but the minute they slightly questioned her loyalty, she got all defensive. Are you kidding me? She pulled a gun on Reaper not once but twice, and she was upset they questioned if she might be a spy? Yeah, she was a hard pill to swallow for a while. The book was pretty well edited, and there were no grammar issues that I noticed, but the writing was not great, but it was definitely good enough to continue reading. Sometimes, the authors writing gets better. So I will continue reading her books.
I've been reading Ciara's books in the order that she recommends and this is the first book in the Iron Punishers motorcycle club romance series. That means I was reunited with some of the key characters from her other series and introduced to a bunch of new characters. She has a way to make you care about her characters which are richly developed. This book is the story of Reaper and Chey. They are a passionate couple who can't keep their hands off of one another so there is plenty of steam. Theirs is an insta-love that comes with some angst. Right from the beginning there is a threat against the club and against Chey especially. There is some action involved in the storyline. I loved this book and I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. I highly recommend this happily ever after story.
Reaper's Banshee was great from start to finish!!! It had a solid plot, good action, plenty of chemistry/romance, and strong characters all-around.
Cheyenne's very private about her past and what makes her scared of motorcycle clubs, yet she's made a new life for herself and stays diligent to avoid her past catching up to her. Reaper is a swoony H who has started to envy the lives of men in other clubs that have wifed-up and had kids, and once he sees Cheyenne he's captivated by her and sets out to make her his. Gaining her trust and making her his old lady is no small feat between her deep-seated fears and interference from enemies outside of his club, but man, once they get there you’re gonna have the warm & fuzzies in your chest throughout the remainder of the book.
A new series from one of my favorite MC authors, I'm in heaven! Reaper is the president of the Iron Punishers and life is good. Only something is missing. Then he meets Cheyenne and suddenly he knows exactly what he needs. Cheyenne doesn't need or want male attention, especially from a biker. Reaper has to work hard to convince her to even talk to him much less spend time with him. Cheyenne's history is rough and heartbreaking. Its no wonder she is a fighter. Reaper adores her and isn't afraid to show it. I loved this couple! They go through a lot in a short period of time and are stronger for it. This series has started with a bang and I cannot wait to see where they go from here! 6 stars for Reaper and Cheyenne!
I had already read Harper, and Viper's story, so it was great to read Reaper, and Cheyenne's. Her life was He'll on earth, until she escaped and went to live somewhere else. Always hiding and avoiding any bikers wherever she moved to, as an adult. Reaper got one look at her , and he somehow knew. She was the woman for him. Really tense situation at first. He has no idea of her history, or why she's almost hysterical in her fear of bikers. He persists, and wins her over. Of course her past comes calling, and she thinks that he tricked her, so her worst nightmare can get a hold of her again. Very satisfying to read how this man, and his club of decent men protect her, and her BFF from danger. I loved the HEA ending. Trish. A.
Reaper's Banshee is book 1 in the new series Iron Punishers MC written by the amazing author Ciara St. James. This is Holden 'Reaper' Grier and Cheyenne 'Bright Eyes or Banshee' story and takes place in Bristol, Virginia. He's the president of the Iron Punishers MC and an ex-navy seal. She works at Dr. Simpson office ( were they met ) and looks like Snow White, lol. I honestly can't get enough of Ciara's hot alpha bikers romance stories and this one is jam packed with plenty of chemistry, action, danger, threats, banter, romance, great characters plus no cheating, no cliffhangers and it has a HEA. Can't wait to read Ink's and Alissee story!!!Thank you Ciara St. James!
New series alert .. Reapers and Cheyenne story was so good you won’t be able to stop reading it. Reaper is the president of the Iron Punishers MC. He comes back from visiting his sister and he finds himself missing something. His ready to made roots make a family fall in love. His done with the bunnies and one night stands. He wants someone to come home to. And he thinks he just found her. Only she’s not having none of that. Cheyenne is over her past she’s ready to stop running. But the hard head of reaper don’t know the word “no”. With some misunderstanding and a little bad luck the romance is interrupted. But like any alpha biker he gets what he wants. And he wants Cheyenne.

overall enjoyed Cheyenne and Reaper (even if i do hate that her nickname at the club is Banshee) a good start to the series to introduce this set of characters at this club. i know it’s connected to the author’s other series about other clubs but didn’t feel lost not reading about them.
however, i did get annoyed how Cheyenne would run away from Reaper without talking to him about the issue. the first time, totally made sense, but the second time i wanted to shake her and tell her to talk to him. and there were a lot more typos than I would have expected for now many books the author has written.
After reading Hunters Creek Warriors and Dublin Falls and meet Reaper and the hoping they got their own stores. Thank you From the moment Reaper meet Cheyenne he was a goner. Cheyenne's story about living in an MC was horrific, watching Reaper beat down her walls and they fell in love. The story setting of a one percent club taking over others was or is a great story line. Ms.St.James tells a story where as the read you can visualize each character. Excellent read.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good story. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, awareness, and doing what needs to be done to take care of yourself. I think the author did an amazing job putting these characters together. I enjoyed Reaper and Cheyenne story. Reaper was there for his lady when this curtain club was coming after her. The whole club was there for her. I enjoyed this story. Great read and it was well written. I recommend this book to all romance reader and MC lovers.
This is a great start to a new series. Reaper was starstruck the first time that he met Cheyenne at the doctors office where she worked. He pursued her hard but she didn't want anything to do with a motorcycle club, and after you know her history, you'll understand. Looking forward to more stories with this MC and I know we all can't wait for Agony's story. Happy reading.
