Okay, this is one of the worst-written books I have read to date. It feels like a 16-year-old, hormone-ridden, amateur who doesn't really know much about the inner workings of well - anything.
The plot is exciting, I wouldn't lie. Good storyline, I like where she is going with this but the narrative is so ordinary that I am actually short of banging my head on the wall because I paid for this shit.

It has 1857 chapters, by the way. One thousand, eight hundred and fifty-seven fucking chapters. I am on chapter 40, having already spent a bit of money to read this far and now I feel stuck because I usually don't leave books mid-way even if they are a piece of shit.

So the main characters are very typical. Female protagonist - Scarlett (we need a sexy name but not a bitchy sexy name, a name you wouldn't mind whispering mid-coitus) shy, petite woman who can't stand up to her husband or honestly just kill herself.
And then there is the male protagonist - Ashton (we need a hot dom name, OBVIOUSLY. Like we can't have a Billy or a Chad) who hates her, is all brooding, oozing sex and charm and is obviously very rich. I mean, we obviously wouldn't have it any other way, right? That is why I started reading it, to begin with. Oh! and Ashton can just finish "several bottles of whisky" in the duration of a few hours and just recovers miraculously by morning. Boy, I would love to have his drinking capacity - I could enter competitions!
Next is the very successful doctor best friend who never really spends time in a clinic or the hospital, he cares about the female lead and blah blah blah....
Lastly, you have the male protagonist's - Ashton's girlfriend who has a typical hot girl name - Rebecca (duh), Rebecca is obviously a manipulative bitch, again - we wouldn't have it any other way now would we?

SO this juvenile author has absolutely NO idea as to how a company works - understandable. If you don't understand the inner workings of something - DO NOT WRITE ABOUT IT. Like Scarlett has been asked to do an audit of the ENTIRE company! ALONE. You know how many CAs we hire to do that work? And they work on it for months to no end!! And this "in charge of Finance Department" lol (this had me dead) just hands her a few papers and she's like go through them! Then there is the lazy ass naming of the cities. J city, Q city, D city - and I have a honda city.

Then this doctor best friend - Jared is somehow NEVER in the hospital or a clinic?! I am a doctor, okay? And I can tell you, you’d be lucky get ONE day off! ONE! And you’d be working as many hours as you can and after that you’ll be too exhausted to live BUT even though Jared is a very successful doctor, he comes in every time when either of Ashton's women gets a small cut.

And she has somehow managed to swap pills, and conceal a 7-8 week pregnancy because somehow she is not getting morning sickness? Man, however did you manage that because I know for a fact pregnant ladies all over the globe would kill to not get morning sickness - she gets them later but mostly because she can’t keep food down. Understandable.

THEN there is the deeply flawed narrative - "he looked into my big brown eyes" Who thinks like that? Like if your s/o looks at you, do you think "well, he's looking into my deep blue eyes right now" NO, you don't even think "he's looking into my eyes right now" that is not a conscious thought people have! So, if the book was written from a 3rd person narrative, we would have also gotten a glimpse of what's going on in Ashton's head AND the big brown eyes bullshit would actually make sense!

Also, I don't think this author understands human psychology very well. You know, we fantasise about a situation and how we would react to it, but we seldom actually react the way we thought we would. When someone repeatedly insults you and humiliates you, you FEEL insulted and humiliated - that brings out sadness, anger and tears. It is a moment of chest tightening, fist-clenching angst which makes your voice heavy and you are unable to speak or even think.

This book would have bode well with me if I were 15. I would have probably even cried. But at this stage of life, I just feel like this is not how normal adults behave. People are much more complex beings and when you write about people such as in the book, one needs to understand that it is not that easy to just make up a character. You can't write or imply that a person is smart or complex and then not give any proof of it whatsoever. Also, doctors can't just "look" at a woman who is not showing and diagnose that she's pregnant. Even a lot of pregnant women can't tell that they are pregnant until they realise one fine day that they haven't gotten their periods in the past 3 months.

Anyway, I am stuck now. I have paid for this shit.

I'm currently reading this story online. I haven't finished, I'm actually far from finishing as the story has over 1800 chapters and I'm only on 196. My goal is to finish this story, but I have yet to rate it as I'm not sure how I feel. Actually, I'm writing this initial review so that I can sort out some of my thoughts.

***Spoilers ahead***

This book is confusing, mainly because it opens up with Scarlet (the main female character) finding out she is pregnant by her husband Ashton (male lead). Ashton is a stone wall towards his wife. His grandfather forced him to marry her two years ago, and he has never warmed up to her. He barely speaks to her and is an absolute piece of s*** to his wife. He also allows others to be beyond awful to her. He has a woman who he cares for, and we are made to believe he loves at the beginning of this story. Her name is Rebecca, and she was the younger sister of one of Ashton's best friends. The friend passed away and asked Ashton on his death bed to take care of his sister. Ashton agreed and had since dedicated his life to basically watching over Rebecca.

Rebecca is a spoiled piece of work. I mean she's a downright B****!!!!!!! She treats Scarlet as if she were the mistress. To be fair, Rebecca believed she would be Mrs. Fuller not Scarlet, until grandpa stepped in and forced Rebecca to be the side piece so that Scarlet could marry into the family. However, Rebecca always manages to be incredibly awful to Scarlet and Ashton allows this to happen. For instance, Rebecca purposefully pours hot scalding water on Scarlet's hand. Ashton watched it happen, and Rebecca simply says "whoops". Scarlet does not fidget and leaves the room only to run into Ashton's best friend and doctor Jared. Jared stops her and has a nurse take care of the burn before it gets worse. Ashton never said a word to Rebecca or to Scarlet.

Jared also seems to be more concerned than Ashton about Scarlet and her pregnancy in the first few chapters. We find out early on that Rebecca is also pregnant. How do we find out? Because she tried to push Scarlet (who already told Ashton she was pregnant, and he didn't seem to care AT ALL) down a flight of stairs. Scarlet anticipated what Rebecca was planning to do, so she moved to the side and Rebecca lost her balance and fell down the stairs. With that, Ashton rushed past Scarlet to go help Rebecca who was bleeding and ultimately miscarried. Jared, who was with Ashton, asked Scarlet if she planned on defending herself, as it was clear to him that Rebecca's fall was not her fault. Regardless, Rebecca blamed Scarlet and Ashton never said a word on whether he believed Rebecca or Scarlet. Scarlet decided to stay quiet and not explain herself at all. Ashton then forced Scarlet to watch over Rebecca and that is how Rebecca was able to pour hot water all over Scarlet's hand. I'm on chapter 196 as I mentioned and NONE OF THESE ISSUES HAVE EVER BEEN BROUGHT UP OR DISCUSSED!!!!!

Ashton only started to show any concern for Scarlet and her pregnancy AFTER Rebecca lost her child. This of course drove Rebecca mad, and she begged Ashton to have Scarlet abort her baby. Ashton did not want Scarlet to get rid of their baby, so this drove Rebecca to a new level of psycho.

The number of insults and horrible things that happen to Scarlet, in which Ashton just turns a blind eye are just horrifying. Ashton also FORCES her to have sex and he's always quite rough with her. At first, I was taken aback by this, but it got worse at which point I was just flat out shocked that the writer wrote these types of scenes as often as she did. Let me explain with an example; Scarlet worked hard to become a Director at Fuller Corporation. Ashton assigned this random project to Scarlet that could make or break the company. Honestly, I feel like there is more to that part of the story, but I haven't got there yet, so they are either never going to complete whatever path they took us on OR some revelation will come from the chaos that occurred with that project. Because of this project, Scarlet was kidnapped and forced to basically hear a conversation between Ashton and Rebecca. Once the conversation ended, Scarlet was forced to hear them have sex. The way that part of the story was written, I'm not sure if she SAW or just HEARD what was happening. This was the kidnappers form of torture in order to get Scarlet to agree to do something with the project she was handed. From that day on, Scarlet was no longer able to perform her wifely duties well. Her excuse to get him to not have sex with her, was that it was bad for the pregnancy. He could not resist and would force himself on her. So, there was one scene where he forced himself on her and she laid there motionless as he did his thing. Honestly, after reading that (i.e., hello rape), I almost stopped reading, but for some reason I'm still chugging along...when he was done, he saw that she had a pool of blood coming out of her and he panicked and rushed her to the hospital. The doctors basically told him that she could lose this child at any moment, not only because she was still in her first trimester, but because she has an issue where it is very difficult for her to even get pregnant so this baby is basically a miracle - If she loses this child, she may never have another. Does that stop him? No. They still have "rape like" sex as she just lays there and lets him have his way with her.

Throughout the chapters, we do see a shift in Ashton. He is more attentive to Scarlet, and he visibly worries about her. Scarlet sees it as he is worried about the baby, but as an outsider reading in, you can tell he loves her. He's just a really messed up character as are all the characters in this story so it's difficult to tell what is happening. It's like they are all bi-polar without medication. Seriously, you get whiplash from how hot and cold they all are.

Scarlet represses everything that happens to her. Never saying a word to Ashton, so there are a lot of misunderstandings because of it. She starts to realize (after having to spend a few days in the hospital) that something is mentally wrong with her, and it could harm the child. So, she turns to a friend who is a psychologist to help. He tells her that she needs to discuss things with Ashton, otherwise things will only get worse between them. She is clearly holding a grudge from having heard Rebecca and Ashton having sex. She refuses to tell him anything.

In the meantime, there are a lot of men who seem to be willing to come to Scarlet's aid, which starts to show Ashton's jealousy. Scarlet doesn't understand why since she 100% believes he does not love her. He is just waiting for the child to be born. He loves Rebecca and is only remaining married to her because of the unborn child. Scarlet loves Ashton and is ok to stay married to him although she believes his heart will always belong to Rebecca. Side note, Ashton has on more than one occasion told Scarlet that he does not love Rebecca, has never been in love with her AND that he wants to live a happy life with her and the baby. On the other hand, she often asks him for a divorce AND she threatens to kill herself or the baby. It's all very unhealthy behavior.

I'm skipping a lot of spoilers and story in my review, but I needed to write down some of the key highlights from what I have read thus far. The fact that Ashton constantly goes out of his way for Rebecca is strange, I don't think it has to do with his promise to her brother because Ashton has also told her that he needs to focus on his own family, and he's been speaking up for Scarlet more in front of Rebecca. I also love spoilers, so I cheated and read the last page of the story to see where in the world this was going...It actually confused me more, but something I read tells me that there is a reason (beyond the death of Rebecca's brother) as to why he's ignored all of her bad behaviors and has allowed Rebecca to do all of these horrible things to Scarlet. I also think that Scarlet has multiple people who have been watching her unbeknownst to her, so she is never in real trouble. But again, that's just speculation at this point in the story.

I'll update my post/spoilers once I get further in.

There are so many chapters, and I don't think I can take this much longer. There's no reason for it to be over 1800 chapters. The author is just recycling the same poor decisions and unrealistic scenarios, sprinkled with abuse. So far, I'm on ch 52, and I'm just getting more and more frustrated. The story is written like it was taken from several K-Dramas, but because every other chapter is out of context and poorly written, it doesn't make sense. It is also evident that the author is young and doesn't understand how any of these situations work in the real world (i.e., business, pregnancy, decision-making, doctors, healthy relationships, justice system, etc).

Spoilers ahead

For example, the bar scene where there are thugs/gangsters that come in with pipes and bats. Scarlet (a pregnant woman) and her friend (who run the bar) start trying to fight them. Apparently, this is the one bar without a bouncer or any security. An unarmed pregnant woman thinks it's a good idea to attack several big men who have weapons.

Next, the abuse Ashton inflicts on Scarlet is insane. He chokes her, rapes her, pushes her, calls her degrading names, cheats on her, has jealous rages, and watches as Rebecca assaults her. Yet, we are supposed to be forced into thinking he cares about or loves her? What?! Not the author trying to gaslight us!

I won't even get into the ridiculousness of Scarlet being forced to plan a whole audit when she doesn't work in the finance department. Or the fact that Ashton's BFF, Jared, is on call for Ashton rather than doing his actual job. Like, dude, do you work at a hospital? Clinic? What type of medicine does he practice? Are you an OBGYN? General practitioner? Family medicine? Gastrointerologist? Neurologist? Toxicologist? What? Tell me! Because he is written like he knows everything, and that's ridiculous.

Oh! There's a part where Scarlet's friend gets arrested for drugs being at her bar. Then, they say a possible consequence is that she may get life in prison or the death penalty. Lmao pardon? What is this book?! So Scarlet goes to Ashton for help, and he demands sex in exchange (violent vomit). I'd take my chances with death tbh. She could've just hired a good lawyer for her friend. She has access to their accounts, and they're rich. Why go to Ashton?

I'd also like to point out that Scarlet signed the divorce papers and has an apartment with her friend, but only stayed there for 1 chapter. Meanwhile, Ashton is sleeping with Rebecca, gets her pregnant, and tells Rebecca he loves her but won't sign divorce papers with Scarlet (because reasons? Probably because he's a manipulative a-hole). This is such a mess and makes no sense. Another thing is Ashton bought the friend's bar for twice the price. WHY DOES SCARLET'S FRIEND STILL WORK THERE?! Scarlet could take a sum of money and move it to another bank account under just her name, and both her and her friend could be rich, living their best lives somewhere else.

There are so many choices, but the mc is choosing all the wrong ones. Honestly, there are no redeeming characters in this book. I just keep going, hoping for some payoff. I might just skip to the end to make sure Scarlet and Ashton don't stay together. If they live separate lives and Ashton is miserable with Rebecca, while Scarlet gets with some sane man to help raise the kid like a normal human, I'll go back and keep reading.

Also known as In Love, Never Say Never.

I got too curious for my own good after seeing too many Instagram ads for this title, so I read it... It's a monster in length (1857 chapters), clichés and horrible characters (and plots/plot twists). I do not recommend it, but it is an easy read.

This was absolutely horrible. I am an avid reader and I tried - I really tried to read this book. I made it though chapter 135 then I had to skip to the end. This “book” is over 1850 chapters long. It bounces around and reads as if several different people wrote it. It reminded me of story time in school when you would start a story and then pass the paper to the next person who would add more to it, then passing it again… I don’t even know what the actual story I’m was at this point because it changed every chapter. The grammar was horrendous and the naming of people and places was just laughable.

Story could’ve been lot better if any of the characters knew how to comunícate properly. I kept waiting for someone to just express how they felt for the story to fix itself out. There were too many secrets.

This book was suggested to me on Instagram. I should have read the reviews before I wasted my money on it. It’s almost as if it’s you are reading the diary of a teenage girl. It was childish and weirdly mean as well as poorly written. I have never read such distasteful drama in my life.
No surprise I could not finish the book, although I gave it a good try. The book has over 1800 chapters, I got up to 134 and could not take it anymore. I tried reading the final chapter still couldn’t finish it.

Ps do not read it on an app called Joyread. They charge you about $15 for every 80 chapters. It’s a scam.

This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down. I feel like the ending was incomplete, I wanted- for lack of a better word- more. I wanted to know more than what I was told; it came to a point where I just couldn't put this book down. Over all, this novel deserves a high rating because it was deliciously good.

I found this 'book' through fb a couple of years ago, gave up because I was not going to pay a few hundred to read one book.

Anyway... fast forward to now and some angel posted a site where you can read the whole book.

I'm not going to lie, this book is a hot mess. It's frustrating, confusing and I don't actually think it's a romance because at 139, nothing romantic has happened. Some rape has. Some abuse has. Some manipulation has. That's it.

I have no idea how long I'll keep reading for but it's kind of like a soap opera and since I no longer watch them, this is how I'm indulging.

But I have some questions:
Was Rebecca ever actually pregnant? (I have many doubts)
Is Rebecca really Cameron's long lost daughter or is Scarlett and the DNA results got messed with?
WTF did John do to Scarlett?
Why doesn't Scarlett tell John about the things that actually matter, like her kidnapping? Like Cameron offering to pay her to divorce Ashton?
What's up with Jared? Why is so concerned with Scarlett?
WTF is up with Joe? He's an asshole.
What happened to the box grampa left Scarlett?
Are they ever going to actually get divorced?

The ad for this book that made me click it was something along the lines of 'She bumps into her billionaire husband four years after the divorce, see's his twin boys for the first time - he didn't know she was pregnant' - To say that is misleading is an understatement.

I gave up on Chapter 200. I'm done.

Whatever you do - don't actually pay to read this garbage.

The female character is absolutely horrible. She's weak, passive, and puts up with constant abuse and frequent rapes from her revolting husband. She's depressed and suicidal much of the time (understandably so but still...). At the same time she's forceful, strong, and capable because -- of course she is.

The male lead is a disgusting bundle of arrogance, cruelty, weird possessiveness and later on, a bit of a masochist where she's concerned. He's "trapped" by a promise made to some guy into always being available for the main antagonist - an incredibly stupid, shallow, selfish, and vicious wench named Rebecca.

There's zero logic for the antics that go on. No ideal why he suddenly decides he loves her after he hated her for two years. ABSOLUTELY no idea why she put up with his shit for all the years she did. No clue how he's supposed to be able to run a business when he lets people around him pull all kinds of stupid stunts that damage his business. No clue how she's supposed to be an amazing, capable professional woman when she's constantly depressed and suicidal.

The story concept had some potential but the story itself is a trainwreck.

It’s ok if you want an easy read but don’t want to think about any of the logic and reality of characters like this actually existing. After a couple hundred chapters I got anxious and spent like two hours scrolling to the last chapter (over 1800 in total) to see how it ended. I could deal with all of it except the blatant sexual assault that was presented as an alpha male “romantic” act rather than what it really was, rape. Like why? How does that make the male protagonist a good guy? Anyway maybe the world of the super rich is different who knows but I like to have the entire pdf of a book like this so I can skip around the chapters because I'm too impatient to wait and see what happens. I couldn’t find anywhere to purchase the full pdf and I wasn’t going to pay a shit ton of money to finish it hence scrolling to the last chapter and paying to read the ending, which confused me more but it was satisfying to see Rebecca finally get her karma.
Overall a good book but could have been better, or even shorter for that matter.

This poor excuse of a novel is clearly just a never ending cash grab with over 1800 chapters each more unreadable than the other and locked by paywalls. It’s written in the tone of an immature 14 y old who's only source of knowledge of love and relationships is poorly written wattpad books and b grade tv dramas. It’s so ridiculously stretched out with random and ridiculous tropes thrown in after every couple chapters to continue the story which seems to go nowhere. All the characters are so one dimensional and poorly written and their actions make zero sense. Unforgivable actions and abuse are overlooked as if nothing serious happened. And to top it all off the grammar and spelling is ridiculous. So thankful I found a site to read it for free and didn’t waste money on something that plays out like a fever dream. Regret reading it deeply though, all it did was ruin my mood over how bad a written piece actually could be.

😭omg this was the worst. I even overlooked the ridiculous amount of CHAPTERS. it was so frustrating but I thought there would be redemption for it for the MC but nahhh. I stopped at 118 chapters, I red all that in one day cause I was so invested and I wanted SOMETHING so that will keep me going but nothing. 👀Then I took peak at a random chapter I really needed to know if am here for a good time or just emotional damage and waste of time. And I am glad I did cause it was BS. The way I saw the story had gone made no f sense. The way I could describe this is a very bad sope opera show but not the typical ones full of tea and drama. The dramas in the book is all repetitive and so stupid. 😤Am so salty tbh cause i wanted it to be good have structure, development, improvement in the writing or events happening but it gives nothing😩. ✨DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ✨

This book... Honestly, its too long and ridiculous. I don't recommend it at all. I gave it two stars because of the sheer amount of hours of my life I used to read this that I will never get back and because for a good bit of thos train wreck I was caught enough to not stop reading. I'm positive it was written by a child who has never experienced half of the things written about. There is absolutely no character development and the ML is simply horrible. All the characters seem to be bi-polar af. Its like all those young girls who thought Edward's creepy behavior in Twilight was "romantic". But if you want to read a story with an disturbing amount of twists, a teen girl's exciting explanation for the ML's horrible personality and deeds, and I guess a happy ending then go ahead and read this... book.

Okay. Longest book read ever! It had so much potential but it failed. There were plenty of twists and turns that keep me reading but then again the plots all became redundant throughout. I felt that the author left a couple of loose ends like what happened to Aunt Sally? Did Scarlett and Summer reconnect? Rebecca? Nora? All of these people had major parts but just fell off the author's mind. The ending I would say was very short and displeasing. Felt like the author wanted to end the story asap. The story did jump around from scarlett POV to 3rd person POV which confused me.

There are two versions of this book available online with the names of the characters bring changed. One book refers to the main characters as Ashton/Curtis, Scarlett/Julia, Rebecca/Ana.

Which book is the original I’m not sure. They are nearly identical other than the names and slight wording changes. Either way the characters are horrible with no redeeming qualities.

Also, you can read the full book all 1800+ chapters at Novel Square for free.

There are some flaws but the overall story seemed interesting. There were moments were I couldn't stop reading and there were moments where I regretted wasting my time reading. I gave it a shot and read till the end. The author over uses certain words alond the way which is eye catching and takes u out of the storyline rather than keeping you engrossed.

Dropped this book at chapter 118. I had a headache reading this piece. The setting was okay, the dynamics between the characters was weird at best, and the overall reaction of the female protagonist to the situations hurled at her is very... perplexing.

Once you get into it, it is hard to put down. Did not realize it was 1800+ chapters when I first started, and you have to continually but more "coins" to read then next chapters. Wish there was a way to just buy the book and then download and read it.

Seriously, nothing is good in this book.

Writing is terrible.
Characters are terrible.
Plot moves in weird ways and doesn’t make sense.
All the relationships are toxic with no hope of being healthy any time soon.

Too depressing to carry on reading.
