What do a dragon and a dwarf have in common? Sometimes, all you need is one thing to bind you together. And when that one thing is fighting to survive...

Alone, Galen Stormwing and Vala don't stand a chance. Together, they might be able to save each other!

Get The DragonClaw Sword Complete Series to find out how far they're willing to go to survive and save themslves.

---Cast out by dragonkind, threatened by his own family... A dragon with nothing left to lose can be a dangerous thing.

Unless, of course, that dragon is Galen Stormwing. He’s never been very dangerous. He was a failure at school, a failure at gaining powers, and a failure at keeping them.

Now his own parents have told him he needs to do something to impress them within three days, or they’ll have him executed as an embarrassment to the clan. He does the only sensible thing he can think of.

He runs for it. Survival trumps pride, as far as Galen is concerned. Most dragons won’t go to Canada, realm of the dwarf people, so that’s where he must go.

But he’s not the only one fighting for survival. Vala is a young dwarf in school to become an engineer when she begins exhibiting magical powers. There’s never been a dwarf mage before, and not all her people are thrilled about it. In fact, some of them would rather see Vala dead than allow their race to become polluted in that manner.

Both of them are vulnerable, lost, alone — and hunted. But together, they might just have what they need to save each other!

I got the omnibus set of this series from kindle. It looked interesting but I usually have misgivings about some books.
I’m surprised and happy to say that this book was entrancing. You start off with a teenage dwarf that has freaky things happening around her and a young dragon who is begging for another chance from his family, who are considered the most powerful dragon clan.
In an unlikely duo Galen comes to Vala’s rescue multiple times. This creates an interesting bond when Vala wants to stand with Galen against his uncle who has come to hunt him down.
I have read a lot of fantasy books, and I don’t think I recall ever hearing magic being talked about in wave forms or sound waves in such detail, and that every creature has their own tune. This was a really good book. It talked about different ways to contain magic and help with a problem that Valles city was having that it might get swallowed up by these weird void portals that was at first I accidentally set off, but then somehow seem to just magically Appear in different spots all over her town. In the end, of course they were able to stop the disks, but not before their true purpose have been fulfilled. Of which I was able to predict part of what that purpose was, and I did my happy dance, as I read the part that confirmed it. I will not spoil for you.
Oh my gosh! I love this book! It is hilarious! When I started I was not sure what to expect, but I will say that Mylo is my absolute favorite character right now I love the movies that he quotes and why he quotes them.
In this book, you’ll find that Galen has to face an opponent that he’s heard mixed reviews about and isn’t quite sure what to think, but regardless, is still afraid. Vala ends up finding herself trapped in a situation that ends up getting worse and worse until Galen is able to save her.
Things get more serious as more black disks show up and they start to act slightly differently from the ones that showed up before.
Now with this change some evidence has been recorded that puts Vala & Galen under suspicion. With the police force having doubts about them all Vala & Galen can do is solve the mystery as best they can.
Everything comes to light with an epic battle at the end… feeling like they have won Vala & Galen come to a realization that maybe there was not as many witnesses as they hoped for. Is Boneclaw back or is uncle Petrov playing the part?
A great ending to a series. Boneclaw is the big massive villain and had definitely worked on perfecting his ways on taking over anyone he can. Even when everyone realizes the power of pixie magic and sparks against him. Boneclaw does everything he can to kill every last one of them. Only once they realize that he’s been trying to pick them off one by one by separating them do they understand that they can only defeat him together.
I loved this series. There are a few cuss words in this book and the book previous to this. But all in all a great dragon fantasy read!

Wonderful read

The whole set was a great read. I hope other books I read are half as good, thanks to all involved from the writing to the proof reading to the printer. Thank you all.

The end :(

I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn’t been for some plot mistakes that I would assume an author wouldn’t make, even if there are two.

If it was only that the assistant teacher Petalwing suddenly became ambassador instead of dragonfly, it wouldn’t have bothered me, but there were a few more, 1 being that they referred to Amy’s parents being dead, while, if you read the steel dragon books, you’d know that the only reason Amy ended up in Canada was because her parents weren’t dead.
There were a few of these and they made reading the book less pleasant.

Aside from that the story itself was yet again amazing. When a certain character got skewered (trying not to spoil) I yelled out loud “Nooo” while holding my head in horror.
While there were other moments I laughed heartily and cried when things got sad. That’s what is in my book makes a good book, if it pulls on your heartstrings.

I only wish this wasn’t the end for this universe. So many more stories could be written. I want to see what Galen will do, I would love a story 20 or so years in the future and continue with a new generation.

Excellent. Drew me in slowly, then love.

I began these novels reluctantly. I'm one of those who is compelled to finish. I thought the beginning was slow and boring. Wow I was in for quite the surprise! I loved the vast majority of every chapter. Thank you both for sharing your wondrous talent with us!!! Can't wait to start a other series. May. Reread morgana. Blessings.

Storm or no Storm

This final series ended with so many things becoming clear. I love the fact there is a Mage Dwarf now.
I will miss the Steel Dragon and all the characters. This was a nice way to end the story and giving Galen some redemption. Look forward to my next adventure through these great authors.

Twists and Plots

What a series with strong characters. The story was easy to read as it flowed through many twists and turns.
The end part, based on a rocket and beating the slimy enemy, was very well thought of.
A clever range of thought by this author.

ok book

I did enjoy the characters. What I didn’t like was the long boring tech talk. I also enjoyed much of the story.

A good read

This was a good read but it's geared for a younger audience. I think there was a series before it that developed the characters.

One heck of a journey

The boys have delivered yet again!! A dwarf and a dragon...nope it's no joke! An wonderful adventure following the friendship between a dwarf mage, the dragon clan runt....and their journey to become more than they, or anyone else, realized. A few familiar characters from other threads in this universe (and you will want to jump into the next one!!), a dark enemy that challenges them all... Oh and boys....we definitely want more!!! :-D
