A Laird in London was an amazing read.
These Scots characters are my weakness, you can feel their proud in their every word and thought, I loved them.
Angus MacDonald and his sister, Eilidh, go to London on a mission to buy back a property on the Hebrids island of Benbecula from an english Lord. Angus meets Lady Isabella Wood on a town park stroll, it seems a match made in heaven. They are comfortable in each other company, and soon enough they discover a deep connection and feelings for each other. But Angus isn't in town looking for a wife, and he perfectly knows how difficult is living on the remote island for a Lady used to all comforts that the town offer, will Isabella make him change his mind? Or their fate is already doomed?
It was such a pleasure to follow Angus and Isabella’s journey, from acquaintances to love interests.
Their story developps in a well written slow burn that keeps the reader glued to the book for hours without any break.
This was the second book in the series but it can easily be read as a standalone, however I recommend to read the first novel too because it's wonderful.
