I was always second best… until he laid eyes on me. Aiden Murphy is everything my family despises. His family hates me in return. Too bad he’s decided he wants me all for himself. Now I’m stuck in a house filled with people that would rather see me dead. How can I have feelings for a man that brought me into this? But my body desires him, Even though my heart knows he has the power to break me. I just want to be free… So how can I when I’m stuck in these chains?
Vicious Vows is the second book is a four part series but can be read as a standalone and has a guarneteed HEA ending.
This is Book 2 in the Mafia Wives Series. In Vicious Vows Riccardo Conti is once again using his daughters to pay off his gambling debts. This time it is Greta that is being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Greta was introduced in Book 1 “Ruthless Vows” as a force to be reckoned with. Greta does not act like the typical Mafia Princess. Greta is all bite and no bark because she believes in fighting for what’s right and being auctioned off to support her father’s gambling addiction and poor financial decisions was her breaking point.
After witnessing the ordeal her sister Eva experienced when she was auctioned off to a cruel, ruthless mafia boss who later changed his ways; Greta didn’t want that life for herself. Unfortunately growing up in the mafia, women had little to no rights therefore; Greta was forced to participate in the auction.
The reason I enjoyed this story so much is because Aiden is like the typical mafia heir you read about. Yes; he was a ruthless killer but he had a heart of gold. Both Aiden and his brother Connor was given the task of attending the auction to get video footage of Riccardo Conti’s daughters tears of humiliation as she is being auctioned off as cattle. Without even thinking Aiden made a quick decision to buy Greta for himself in order to protect her. Aiden took a huge risk purchasing Greta knowing that his Irish family hates Italians. What Aiden felt for Greta far exceeded his expectations and he was willing to go against his family to keep his new wife safe even if it meant destroying everybody and everything.
This is an enemy to lovers romance with feuding Mafia families. This story proves that love is worth the risk and above all else worth fighting for. Aiden and Greta realized that they had a lot in common and they both gelled together effortlessly once Greta realized that she was safe with Aiden and he was willing to risk EVERYTHING including family for her. . Greta is the second daughter of Ricardo Conti, and like her sister Eva, she is put up for auction to cover her father's gambling debts. Greta is wild, she doesn't know when or how to shut up, so her father has to drag her to the auction. Aiden and Connor are the heirs of the Irish mafia in NY and their father asks them to record what happens at the auction, especially Greta's misfortune, but as soon as Aiden sees her, he falls in love with her and ends up buying Greta. to become his wife. That doesn't sit well with his family as they hate Italians, his father tries by all means to separate them, but Aiden and Greta flee to Ireland to be safe. I have loved this couple, their continuous discussions are the funniest. The book was really short for me.
This is book 2 in the series and it has a great plot and characters. It pretty much follows the same trope as the first book. Greta is auctioned off in an arranged marriage, yet it is not a smooth marriage because family members of Aidan's does not want the marriage to last at all. I liked this book and would love for the series to continue.
Aiden brought Greta to be his wife, much to his families disgust. but needs must and these two have a chemistry like no other! This fast paced enemies to lovers, action desires hot scenes and more will keep you on your toes!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Greta is considered a trouble maker because nobody seems to understand her. When her father auctioned her to pay off his debts, she vows not to go down easily. He was not supposed to be there, but the moment she stepped up on the stage, he knew she belonged to him. How can he prove to his spitfire that they belong together?

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be guilt, suspense, a little violence, lies, few more lies, betrayal, hope, and of course love. By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. This is book two of The Mafia Wives series each book reads as a standalone book but connects reference characters as we know in mafia stores the daughters end up paying for their father’s issues or being married off to connect two families. Greta is feisty, has never felt loved by her family right now she is her father’s scape goat because of his gambling in need of money quickly the solution is to auction his daughter to the highest bidder dragging her kicking /screaming to the auction. Aiden sexy as all get out Irish mafia who watches the interaction between her and her father knowing in his heart he isn’t leaving the auction without her because she is just his kind of women one who can stand up to him and for herself one worth protecting however, one problem it’s a major one she is Italian and his family hates the Italians and when they find out about his marriage boy does the mess hit the fan why would he marry the enemy’s daughter along with some other choice words. Aiden will do everything in his power to keep her safe, since they are just married, they agree to get to know each other before consummating the marriage and the adventure they take will have you on the edge of your seat ensuring you keep turning the pages. Greta will all her wits about her which is where being the feisty, smart, super strong, not taking any mess from anyone and could less about Aiden’s money all she wants is her freedom of choice which was taken from her by her father. Aiden is oh so sweet to her considering he is alpha through and through and her feistiness is part of what keeps him attracted to her not allowing anyone to snuff out her light which allows her to see him…the real him but will it be enough, is her father really out of her life or does he try to come for her to marry her off again, will his family finally accept her, will she ever feel comfortable in the situation her father placed her in, what happens to her sisters, and can they have their very own HEA?.

I have arc read all of author Ivy Davis’s books and I have to say that out of all the characters; Aiden Murphy is my favorite so far!!! SWORN!! Who wouldn’t love a mafia man who is ruthless, protective, has respect for women, charming and with a golden heart. A quick read that keeps you entertained and turning the pages but not wanting it to end too soon.
Vicious Vows is the second book in the Mafia Wives Series. In book one we read the story of Eva Conti, the story continues to the next sister Greta. Their father Riccardo Conti is in deep gambling debts and uses his daughters to pay off his debts in the form of an auction. Where mafia females are auctioned off for marriage to the highest bidder. The oldest sister, Eva, is sweet and does everything she can to protect her sister. But Greta is a force with so much fight and fire in her, a rebel troublemaker. She doesn’t bend to her father’s rules. Greta likes her freedom and fights against everything she does not deem right. She is far from what people expect from a “mafia princess” ; she proves to be just as dark.
The Irish mob holds a hatred for the Italian faction. When Don Murphy hears that Conti is putting yet another daughter up for auction. He sends his sons Connor and Aiden to the auction to record the Conti female’s humiliation, tears and fear. But Greta was none of those things. She was a spitfire and feisty on stage. Aiden was drawn to her fire and wanted it for himself so without putting much thought into his actions, he buys her. Going against his father’s orders and everything he was raised to believe in (hate the Italians). When Aiden finds himself needing to push back against his family to keep his new wife safe. Things heat up and so does the tension and desire between Greta and Aiden.
The chemistry between the two is sooo good. The adventure they have to endure within a short amount of time brings them closer. Greta has always felt inferior to her sisters in smarts, looks, personality, etc But Aiden shows her she is beautiful and perfect...for him. I love all the surprises, humor and action throughout the book. I can not wait for Ivy’s next book. I hope we continue to get cameos of the sisters and their husbands in the next book.

Greta's father is in deeper debt from gambling & needs money to feed his addiction. He solution to get quick money is to send Greta to the mafia-run auction & sell her to the highest bidder & marry her off. She doesn't go willingly & protests/fights every step of the way. Aiden is at this auction, witnessing this. She has the characteristics of the type of woman Aiden is interested in having as a wife. Problem is she is Italian & he's Irish. Once his parents learn of his marriage to the enemy, all hell breaks loose! While keeping her safe, he's very sensitive & patient with his new virginal bride. They agree to take the time to learn about each other as they are married as strangers.
I really liked the journey these two characters went through together. Greta being the rebellious-type, feisty & a quick-witted spirited young woman, has encouraged Aiden to enjoy being in her company. She is strong, independent & not interested in being with him because of his money or his standings in the mafia which attracts him more towards her. They go through thrilling adventures together, while keeping her safe & alive. She sees him in a different light where he shows a trusting, loving side, protectiveness & has similar personality qualities like hers. This novel has a mixture of danger, the gripping mystery & surprises at every turn in being captured. This is a page-turner with plenty of humorous moments, a growing love towards each other & against all odds, a future of a HEA. I highly recommend this novel to be added to your book list. Very enjoyable reading!

This is the 2nd story in the Mafia Wives Series. This one is about Greta the 2nd feisty daughter and her ordeal her rotten father, Riccardo puts her through - selling Greta to fuel his gambling debts. Great has always felt that she never measured up to any of her sisters and to protect herself she will defend and defy everyone around her. When Greta finds out what her dad is up to she runs away only to be caught that night. When Aiden and Connor are sent to the auction to video this humiliating ordeal their father the Don of the Murphy Irish mob can’t wait to use it. When Aiden sees Greta he is taken back by her feistiness and strong willpower that he knows she is meant to be his! He wins the bid and finds himself married the next day and along the way they strike a compromise that she’ll trust him and he’ll keep her safe. Greta has a quite strength about herself and boy does she give Aiden a run for his patience. When his entire family shows how much they can’t stand her and wish Aiden would rid himself of her so when they find themselves in danger he takes Greta to Italy to find peace and safety along with a chance at a real marriage with love. Connor shows how he is not the right man to lead the Irish Mob and gets himself into a position he may not be able to get out of and Aiden does what is necessary to protect Greta at all cost. I love how he naturally becomes a man with a heart for Greta and a man full of ruthlessness when needed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am just loving this series! This is the second book in the Mafia Wives series and was just a s good as the first one. This is the story of Aidan Murphy and Greta Conti. Aidan is part of the NY Irish Mafia. Greta is the second daughter of the Conti family and once again her father is in debt and puts Greta up for auction. Greta is the feisty, sassy, wants to defy every one of the family. She has always felt second best to her other sisters and finds it very hard to take any kind of compliments from anyone. Aidan’s father cannot stand the Italians and when his father finds out that another Conti daughter is going up for auction, he wants his sons to go video his hurt, tears and fears. Once Aidan sets his eyes on Greta he knows that he has to have her for himself.
Once again, another Conti daughter is stronger than everyone gives her credit for. She gives Aidan a run for his money and it’s something that Aidan is quite fond of! The banter between them is hot and you definitely can’t have a great mafia story without the family drama, action, passion, and love. This is a fast-paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I definitely look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Having seen what her father put her elder sister through when she turned of age, Greta is waiting to see if she will be subjected to the same fate. The second eldest of four sisters she is constantly compared to her sisters and has found her place in the family as the troublemaker. Not afraid to voice her opinions and throw a tantrum as and when the need takes her. Despite her sister's husband paying off her father's debts from gambling, she finds herself forced to attend a marriage auction.
The plan was simple, wear hidden cameras in their suits and attend the marriage auction on their father's behalf to witness Great Conti be sold. Aiden Murphy, however, swiftly makes a new plan when he gazes into her beautiful turquoise eyes and sees the spirit deep within her. Unable to see her be crushed by one of the other attendants he places a bid and wins her hand in marriage. Except he is Irish mafia and they hate the Italians.
The Murphy clan are not happy about the marriage, to say the least, but turning his back on them Aiden is willing to fight for his new bride. Greta discovers that Aiden isn't all that bad and things could work out between them. But when his family intervene will they be able to overcome the obstacles?
After selling their eldest sister, Greta’s father is still gambling and needs more money. Another auction is his answer. Seamus Connor hates the Italians, in particular Greta’s father Ricardo Conti. So he arranges for his two sons to attend the auction and record how low the man will go, selling off yet another daughter at auction like chattel. Greta does not want her sisters life happening to her. Eva was lucky that her husband eventually turned out to be ok. Greta doesn’t want to take that risk so she runs away. But her father sends his men to track her down. He’s adamant he’s getting his payday. When Aiden sees the fire in Greta he is immediately drawn to her. The thought of one of these other men trying to snuff it out of him doesn’t sit right. She’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, and he ends up bidding on her and winning. They get off to a rocky start but it’s not only that, his family is furious, and try their best to get rid of Greta. So they flee to their family home in Ireland for safety. This was another excellent book in this series. With more interesting characters and a great story, it keeps the pages turning. Superb.

This is the second in the Mafia Wives series (and my fave so far!)
Greta is bold, independent and longs for freedom. It's her turn to be sold at the marriage auction and does this girl put up a fight. She makes it known how much she doesn't agree with the auction and tries several times to escape.
Aiden, second son of the Irish Mafia head, is forced to go along to the auction with his older brother. Thier mission is to film Greta as she is being sold to being their father pleasure.
At the auction Aiden is captivated by Greta's beauty and spirit and he bids on her and wins her hand in marriage.
The chemistry between Aiden and Greta is spot on, Greta loves how cheeky and fun Aiden is (although she won't admit it) and Aiden loves how opinionated and independent Greta is.
Family drama ensues due to the deep routed racism between the Irish and Italian mafia families with a tragic outcome.
The bond these two form is beautiful and the story flows really well.
I loved it, would definitely recommend.

This is the 2nd book in the new mafia wives series, it works as a standalone, but I do recommend you read the first book Ruthless Vows first. This one is the story of the second sister Greta, an Italian mafia daughter and Aiden, son of Irish mafia boss. Greta knows what awaits her in the future, so she tries and fails to escape. She’s auctioned off to be married and Aiden surprising everybody including himself buys her. Aidens family hates everything Italian, but he is determined not to let anybody hurt his wife. There is a lot (and I mean a lot) going on in this book, the action never stopped. The couple is hot and steamy, their chemistry is of the charts! The book has everything any dark mafia romance needs: hatred, anger, fear, courage, strength, violence, suspense, lots of twist and turns, lust, passion and love. It’s a good book, has a lot of drama and steam, character development and it ends with a nice HEA.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I loved this book. Vicious Vows is book 2 in the Mafia Wives series by Ivy Davis. We met Riccardo Conti in book one, Ruthless Vows. To pay off his debts he auctioned off his oldest daughter and now is at it again with the next. This time it is Greta. She is a spitfire and fiercely independent but being a daughter in a mafia family she has few options. This doesn't mean she will go along easily.
Aiden is sent to the auction to videotape Greta's humiliation. He is from an Irish mafia family. They hate the Italians. Without much thought he buys Greta. His family hates her without knowing her and doesn't want to know her. Aiden goes slow and gives Greta time all the while protecting and defending her to his family. This enemies to lovers story kept my attention. Vicious Vows has great characters and I love the interactions between Greta and Aiden.
Greta Conti knows she is on borrowed time, it will not be long before her dad auctions her off like her sister Eve (Ruthless Vows). But she is not sticking around for that to happen, she heading out on her own. Her dad’s guards find her and bring her to the auction house, where she is drugged until it starts.
Aiden and his brother are sent to the auction to get pictures of Conti’s daughter being sold. He knew his father hated the Italians but for him this is a new low. When he sees Greta Conti he knows he has to buy her, to keep her safe. When he wins her, he knows he is going to have face his family’s wrath but she is more important.
I loved this one, Aiden and Greta are a lot alike, their quest for adventure. He will do anything for her, including go to war with his family over his right to keep her as his wife.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.
This story picks up a bit after Ruthless Vows. This is Greta's story. Her father is up to the same shenanigans as book one only Greta is having none of it! Despite her attemps to stop her future, she ends upnin the same situation as her sister, Eva from Ruthless Vows. The difference for Greta is the man she ends up with actually likes her and cares about her from the moment he lays eyes on her. Unfortunately, as with most Mafia families the different groups font get along and Greta ends up in a fight for her life. Aiden is a fierce protector and refuses to let anything happen to Greta. This actually turned out to be a funny and sweet story between the two MC's. They get their HEA. I can already see where the next book is headed!.

This is the second book of the mafia wives by Ivy Davis and it does not disappoint. There is Great, whose father is still gambling more than he has, so he decides to auction off his second daughter to make some money. Great though wants nothing to do with it. When she runs away, her father and his goons catch her. Then there is Aiden Murphy, the second son of the Irish mafia. His father hates the Contis and arranges for his sons to go an witness the downfall of another Conti daughter. When Aiden sees Greta, he decides to bid on her and wins. This sets off a series of events that lead to lots of twists and turns as well as some really good steam. The story keeps you reading until the end. This is a good one.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Seamus Murphy hates Riccardo Conti. No reason other than he's Italian, so when he hears that Riccardo's daughter, Greta, is being sold off in an auction, he wants her humiliation documented by his sons, Aiden and Connor. Greta is the second sister to be sold off in this way to cover her father's debts and is not happy and makes her feelings clear at the auction. Aiden takes a shine to the feisty Greta and decides to take her for himself. Needless to say, Seamus is not happy - Italian + Irish = Death/Disaster.
This story tells the tale of how Aidan and Greta overcome all the obstacles in their way to get to their happy ever after. We also get to catch up with Eva and Gabriel from the first book.
Riccardo has two other daughters, so I'm looking forward to reading their stories.
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving an honest review.
This is the second book in this amazing series and is Aiden and Greta’s story. Greta is used as payment for her fathers’ gambling debts, and is entered into an auction, which Aiden has been sent to by his family. Aiden is Irish mafia and Greta is Italian, and their families detest each other. Aiden may be ruthless, but he has a huge heart, and he is drawn to Greta and puts in a bid to buy her. Aiden will do whatever he must to protect Greta, even if it is against his own family. This is a well written fast paced story, with undeniable chemistry, family, intrigue, suspense, violence, lies, betrayal, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting enemies / lovers’ romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Genre: Mafia romance Tropes: Arrange Marriage Standalone: Yes Series: The Mafia Wives #2 Cliffhanger: No Rating: 3 ⭐
》》The Plot《《
The beginning was good. But they got attracted to each other too fast. His mother was so sweet at first but later I didn't liked her. I was sad of his brother from the beginning, he was such an ass.
》》Characters and Relationships《《
Both of them were good but not much likable. I wished there was more development in their relationship. And how tf he was ready to fight with his family for even when he didn't even knew her?
I felt the characters bland. I probably wouldn't remember the plot and the characters in the future.
》》Conclusion《《
Overall it was a ok read for me. I had many expectations but it kinda disappointed me.
After reading Ruthless Vows I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. Just like her sister Eve in Ruthless Vows, Greta is about to be sold at auction. She decides to leave before the auction but is found by her dads guards and drugged and now she awaits for it to start.
Aiden and his brother are ordered from their dad to record the auction for his own amusement. Their dad despises the Italians. But things take a turn when Aiden sees Greta. He vows to buy her and keep her sage knowing his actions will cause problems in the family. I love their story.
Full of action, steam, secrets, dark mafia, twists and turns, pain, emotions, drama and so much more. Can’t wait to read more from Ivy Davis!
I received this arc and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Greta's father is a member of the Italian mafia and has a gambling problem. He is selling her off at an auction to help cover his gambling debts. She tries to run away but is captured by her father's guards. She is drugged and physically forced to submit. The leader of the New York Irish media hates the Italians since he feels they are infringing on his turf. He sends his sons, Aiden and Connor, to the auction to record Greta's humiliation. Aiden surprises himself and his brother by bidding one million dollars to win the auction and wed Greta. How will he treat Greta? What happens when his parents find out he is wed to an Italian? How will Greta react?
Riccardo Conti has a problem: he's a really bad gambler. The mob boss has losses that he doesn't have a way to cover. So, he sells his daughters to the highest bidder for marriage. It happens for the second time in this book with his daughter Greta. She ends up married to Aiden Murphy, a son of a rival family. Neither of the families is family, but both Greta and Aiden seem to like shaking things up. Aiden likes rocking the boat with everyone and Greta even calls herself a bitch at one point. But these two together? They could be unstoppable.

Again, I'm always fearful going into a "mafia" romance. Always hesitate, as I'm not into the super dark side of it...
Ivy Davis somehow manages to balance the dark side of the mafia, with the lighter side of love and marriage.
Greta is brought to the virgin auction (thanks, loser dad), where she is bought (rescued?) by Aiden. While fighting to keep her safe, he continues to show his fierce, even dark side towards anyone who would do her harm - even his family.
I really love how Ivy makes her bad boys stay bad, but still have a heart of gold for the woman they love!.

This second book is one I was looking forward to after reading and enjoying Eva's story in Ruthless Vows this time we have Greta's story she's always felt inferior to her sisters but now the same fate which befell Eva being put on the virgin auction block by her father is about to happen to her!, She's dragged kicking and screaming. The auction is attended by Aiden Murphy, he had no intention of bidding, he was there just to see what was going on - but when he sees Greta displaying so much fire he can't help but be drawn to her and so he bids.
I enjoyed this story, the characters are well-drawn, the story flowed well, has action, romance, chemistry and steam.
Once again Ivy wrote a fabulous read vicious vows is book 2 ruthless vows was the 1st in this series. In this book mob boss Ricardo conti is out of luck and out of money holding over hi. Debts his wallet cannot pay. So in typical conti fashion he decides to auction of his daughter Greta to the highest bidder for her hand in marriage, along comes adian Murphy son of mob boss from a rival family. Can these 2 fall in love ?? Will they bring the families down or bring closer together to strengthen bonds? Since this is an ARC and I'm not going to give any spoilers what I will say is that love this book and have purchased both books for my kindle..let me know what younthink!!
Greta isn't going to be sold off like her sister. She takes off but her father's men drag her to the auction and is bought by Aiden who's family hates her Italian family. Aiden's family are part of the Irish Mafia. I love how he marries her against his families wishes and fights his family to keep her safe. I love how Aiden takes Greta to Italy where they find peace and love. Aiden might be a killer bit he loves Greta. Has a great storyline and love the chemistry and steam between Aiden and Greta.

Greta Conti is used to pay off a debt just like her older sister was in book 1. Their father is a gambling addict and when he gets in over his head, he offers up a daughter for an arranged marriage. Aiden's family are the Irish Mafia and they hate the Italians but when he see Greta at the auction he has an instant attraction and buys her. These two are very well matched, but his family is not happy. The book is well paced, sizzling, steamy, full pf action, drama, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it's available on Kindle Unlimited.
I received an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
