I'm married to a firefighter, which is great in the sense that some nights I get the TV all to myself, but not so great in the sense that some nights I have to figure out what to do when the washer starts leaking. (Or when there's a bat in the house, which is a thing that happened when he was working.)
Most of my books are centered around the firehouse. When you spend a lot of time around firemen, you write what you know! And what's hotter than a fireman?

Gotta say, I didn't enjoy this book nearly as well as I did the first 3 in the series. I really didn't care for Morgan at all and that Chris kept him around at all is a bit mind boggling. Through the whole book I was practically yelling for Chis to get some self respect and walk away.
Morgan runs hot and cold, though mostly cold, it would seem. He has a huge, and irrational, dislike of fire fighters and he he has a tendency to treat Chris, in particular, like shit. He's insulting and condescending to Chris and his profession and is beyond arrogant. Everytime I'd start to think that Morgan wasn't so bad, he'd flip on the cold again.
There was potential and I like the setting and that Tucker is still Chris' friend (even though Chance doesn't like Chris), but it would have been a better story with a more likable MC. I'm going to finish the series to see if Morgan redeems himself at all, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

What disgruntled me was the relationship between Chris and Tucker. I just didn't like how these two are still so close. The thing is my least favorite scene from Flashover was the one, when Chance caught them sitting together and almost cuddling and I really think he had every right to be pissed and jealous (I'd be too, that's for sure!) and I didn't like how it turned out he's the one apologizing at the end. And here to have a whole book very frequently referring to their 'little bit of history' and Chance's jealousy I just felt very sorry for Chance, coz it's really unnerving to know your partner still works and is friends with his almost-but-not-quite lover, who's still hung up on him.
So this part was just uncomfortable for me to read, but other than that I really liked the story!

I read this some time back. I recall enjoying it but obviously not that much or I would have remembered to post my review. Nothing negative that comes to mind, though, and there was good chemistry between the two men.

My lord!!! I love this book so much; I think a have a fetish with these kind of MC. Tinder is part of the series that also stars Chance and Tucker; but now we get to meet Chris the guy whom Chance saw with Tucker at the Seagull during "Heat", we know that Chris is a firefighter who work at the same station (station 19) as Tucker and that he is gay. Then we meet Morgan, who is a intructor inside the firefigther department and he is teaching during a month in station 19 and he is a total jerk, arrogant, full of himself and hot as hell.
And so it begins the clash of character, because Chris hates Morgan and Morgan hates firefighter in general. After their first encounter, the relationship starts to develop into a serious one. Until Chris says that he loves Morgan, and Morgan freaks out. But at the end, love wins and everything settles again with our HEA.
This book is smoking hot as well, with delicious every chapter sex. And I love the MC, I had always like books where the MC clash with each other until something pops and everything changes.
And so it begins the clash of character, because Chris hates Morgan and Morgan hates firefighter in general. After their first encounter, the relationship starts to develop into a serious one. I don't think Morgan should have gotten off the hook that easy. It was good book from the beginning. I just have this one complain, but suppose thats what happens im love.

Realistic characters with struggles and problems I found believable
Warning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS.
Rating: 7/10
PROS:
- Very gradual transformation in the relationship from intense dislike to love, and I believed it; it seemed realistic.
- No dramatic external force that affects the characters in any significant way. I understand that injuries and hateful friends/family members, etc. are very real problems, and I rarely mind when something big happens and has a negative effect on the characters in a story. But it’s also refreshing now and then to read a book in which the conflict arises solely from the characters themselves--miscommunication, insecurities, fear of commitment, and so on. I think that most relationship problems in real life are like this.
- Few typos/editing issues.
CONS:

This is the first book of this series that I’ve read and didn’t have any problem jumping into the middle of it. I could tell there was prior history between some of the characters, but it’s not really relevant for this storyline.
Generally speaking, it’s important for me to like the characters in the book in order for me to like the book. This one may have been the exception to the rule! Without mincing words, Morgan Daniels is an ass! He’s really barely tolerable until close to the end of the book. It doesn’t help that the story is told from Chris’ point of view. Perhaps if we had some of Morgan’s perspective, it might have been easier to warm up to him a bit. The fact that I had a strong enough dislike going for this character tells me the author did a good job of portraying him in the book. As for Chris, it felt like he had to do most of the compromising in this relationship and it almost felt like he was cheating himself by settling for someone so, so, ass-like!
The story itself wasn’t complex or particularly unique. I found myself enjoying the book despite disliking one of the main characters and despite a few open questions that really weren’t fully answered to my satisfaction (ex: circumstances of the relationship that caused Morgan to hate firemen). In real life, I’d seriously wonder about the viability of this relationship due to the one-sided feel of it, the large age gap, and constant bickering. If not for the sex, I questioned whether there was much else to sustain Morgan and Chris going forward. Perhaps the sequel will provide some additional insight:)

Morgan is a 45 years old former fireman, who declares to hate all the fireman, especially the young and reckless one. But Chris, despite the negative attitude, can't prevent himself to be attracted by this man, so handsome and strong.
They starts a relationship from the attraction: sex is wonderful but Morgan doesn't want to call it a "relationship". They don't date, they are makinf sex. But when you feel for the other, and your mind is obsessed, how can you not call it love?
Chris is young and simple. He has no problem in his life, he enjoys sex and is not searching for something stable. Yes, he sometimes envies Tucker and his relationship, but until he meets Morgan, he has no idea how sweet can be to have something to return home. Morgan was scared in the past. He is not so young to allow himself to be scared again. He doesn't want commitment cause he fears to suffer again. But even if you are not searching it, love can grew slowly but strong.
Tinder is a story which flows smoothly. Attraction strucks hard from the first time, but then love cements the bound. When you search for an hot story between firemen, Tory Temple is your man (woman!).

This was better than I expected. I'd read a couple of Tory Temple's books a few years ago and stopped after the last one underwhelmed. My prompt to try Temple's writing again was due to needing a 'fire station' in a challenge. I'm very happy to say I enjoyed this.
Whilst the friction is a little forced from MC Morgan's perspective (I felt his explanation regarding firefighters was unconvincing) I did enjoy the back and forth, the uncertainty. And because the book isn't long it couldn't get protracted :) MC Chris was an interesting character finding his place in the world - it gave him a bit of depth.
Overall for an MM written in 2007 and being the fifth in the series, the author did a good job.

So this is a total first for me. I read this not knowing it was in a series so that definitely tells you that you don't need to worry much about the consistancy of the plotline in this series. There were moments that implied previous story points about some of the other characters but nothing at all that would take away from this single volume.
I enjoyed the story well enough and didn't find anything that bothered me about the story which is a good thing, but on the other hand, I also didn't find anything that I loved either.
This novel was perfect for those who want a decent length read and like their characters to be antagonistic towards each other.

I have to say, as much as I LOVED Chance and Tucker, these two MC's didn't do it for me.
The writing was good. The story was good and it flowed well. The sex was steaming up the pages, but these characters didn't have the connection that I have found in Tory's other couples.
I thought Chris was a doormat, and Morgan was just a complete and utter ass most of the time. Geeze if you really love and care for someone what's the big deal of not only telling, but showing that person!
I am gonna continue and I hope to like Morgan better throughout the rest of the series.
I do have to say, Tory is easily becoming one of my favorite authors :)

I enjoyed this book but didn't quite connect with the MCs. There was a push-pull between Morgan and Chris that powered the story. At some point, probably early on, I would have dumped Morgan but Chris kept coming back to him. They wind up with an HFN ending, which is probably the appropriate ending for this couple. There is a huge amount of scorching sex, some of it very nearly public, and these guys really love getting busy. In fact, sometimes they will rush home to jack off if alone or have sex if together, because they just can't keep it in their pants another minute. If you're looking for a hot firefighter read, this may be it.

Chris and Morgan were interesting couple. By rereading this book, I have to admit, Morgan was a bitchy selfish partner. But then he had a good excuse for his behavior. Everyone is hiding himself under a mask of pretense in an ongoing developing relationship. I liked Chris and Morgan as a couple.

I haven't read the other books in the series and had no trouble keeping up with the plot, characters, etc. Loved Chris. Morgan was a b*tthead, but (somewhat) redeemed himself toward the end.

3.5* Enjoyable enemies to lovers romance. I was glad to see there are more stories for these guys since I felt like their story wasn't over.
