Oliver MacKie took up a Magical Law Enforcement position in Edinburgh with his friends. The city is quiet as far as the magic community goes, few incidents. Mostly keeping other magical species in check, particularly with the Woodland Fae Court, which has a tenuous relationship with the MLE and wizards in general. But when a wizard goes missing and fae may be involved, Oliver's life is about to become more complicated because his secret is in danger of being revealed.
I loved the diversity themes J.M. Guilfoyle brings to this entertaining fantasy tale. The story moves fast, yet the writing provides the reader with a deeper connection to the story. Also, the story will teach you the many Scottish words for idiot. I look forward to reading more stories from this fantasy realm.
A thrilling, fantastical introduction where the worlds of the Woodland Fae Court and the human realm collide. Also includes an impressive amount of Scottish slang for 'idiot'!
