We first meet Derek and Diana in Hot Brits Book 7: One Hot Scandal which is Hugh and Avery’s story. Derek is Avery’s brother who works as personal security and Diana is Hugh’s high-flying business partner.

Diana has always put her career first and is at a point in her life that she wants baby, but not a relationship.
She propositions Derek, to be her baby donor, but she's not interested in a relationship.
Derek wants to help her, but isn’t sure he can keep his feelings in check but he agrees to her proposal thinking he may be able to convince Diana otherwise.
Hugh and Avery appear in this book along with some of the the MacTaggarts and I really enjoy that about Anna's books, we get to meet best friends old and new.
I really enjoyed Derek and Diana’s story and I was cheering them on right from the start:
Derek with his humour and determination to convince Diana they can be more to each other;
Diana, who sacrificed so much for her career, I really empathised with her.
One Hot Deal has it all: the steam, the comedy, a baby proposal, a wedding and characters from other stories and together Derek and Diana face some challenges along the way to their HEA.
Jason Clarke and Marian Hussey are perfectly paired to narrate this audiobook.
Marian was outstanding in her portrayal of the bossy and driven Diana and was able to showcase her tender and loving side flawlessly.
Equally Jason was cast perfectly as the protective, broody bodyguard and can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing his British accent is: he’s so talented!
Jason and Marian together were a total swoon-fest and I am here for it!
This is a fast-paced sexy story, from an amazingly talent author.
I love Anna Durand, she is my go-to for sweet, steamy Rom-coms and her #HotBritSeries are some of my absolute favourites - especially the Dixon Brothers and I always look forward to what she has in store for us.

Welcome back one and all to another Anna Durand read. If you’re a somewhat seasoned reader of hers like myself, you’ll be as thrilled as I am to be back in another one of her reads! One Hot Deal is Book Eight in the Hot Brits series.
For me, this is my third read of the series (my first being One Hot Christmas), so I was very keen to dive into another Hot Brit.
If you’ve been following this series and have read the previous book, One Hot Scandal , you’ll already be familiar with the leading man who now has his own story in this novel. Derek Hahn made his debut in his sister’s story with Lord Steamy, aka Hugh Parrish. It was clear from his brief stint in that novel that when it came round to Derek having his own story, it was going to be an interesting one.
Though I did personally underestimate just how interesting it would be. This wasn’t down to Anna’s writing or the possible story she could write, but I was bowled away at just how much I enjoyed Derek’s (and Diana’s) story. Anna never disappoints with any of her books, but after Lord Steamy and how much I enjoyed his & Avery’s story, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved One Hot Deal . The kinds of reads that never fail to blow me away, even after I’ve been reading an author for a while, are the best kinds of reads that show the true prowess of an author.
So, just what are readers in for when reading One Hot Deal? , let me tell you through its tropes!

✅ Opposites Attract
All the good stuff, I sadly cannot reveal to you as that would be giving things away but I can say this, so much more is packed into this novel than any trope could simply list. What I can tell you, is that this read is one that is as funny as it is steamy. Convincing Derek to take the seal that Diana is proposing is one thing, but it’s done with comical flare as much as flirtatious. I always appreciate when authors inject humour, in whatever form they chose, into their novels. It’s good to have a laugh, especially at the expense of one or two characters along the way.
Not to mention, Derek taking his bodyguard duties much more thoroughly than the average bodyguard, once his walls are down. Props to Anna on delivering those scenes we readers love to read about. H-to the-o-to the-t!
Loving trouble has never been so rewarding for either Derek or Diana in this steamy read that everyone simply must pick up!
I can’t think of any other rating to give this read other than the five stars it and Anna so richly deserves.

“One Hot Deal” is a fun, steamy and banter filled delight and a great addition to the “Hot Brits” series. Diana and Derek’s story was so much fun to read.
Diana is a self made Billionaire whom we met in “One Hot Scandal” and she has been content on conquering the business world. When she hires a bodyguard at the recommendation of a friend, broody American, Derek, is the one tasked for the job. The two have an obvious chemistry but have drawn the line at being boss and employee. However, one day Diana realizes what is missing from her life, a baby. Determined to make it happen, she asks Derek to be the donor. But neither was counting on the chemistry simmering underneath to erupt.
I enjoyed Diana and Derek’s story so much. I love that both were older, as in late 30s/40s, and were confident in who they were. Both successful business owners, they weren’t afraid to work for what they wanted. Derek is alpha goodness and I instantly liked his confidence and the need to protect from the beginning. Diana’s independence is such a positive character trait for her and her love for her niece. I loved the banter the two had when they were clearly trying to hide their attraction to each other. The tie-ins with the other books is always a favorite of mine because we get an update on some old friends.

Dianna is a millionaire who just hired some protection. Derek is the head of the company that Dianna hired. Dianna is fiercely private but Derek wants to break in through her walls. These two decide to make a baby deal and maybe they can also find love. Although this series is a good series this one left too many questions unanswered. Dianna never explained why she hired a full-time protection detail. There was no actual third-act conflict, a slight miscommunication but nothing major. I will continue to read these but I might take a bit of a break.

No nonsense Diana cannot fathom becoming involved with a man, let alone anything long term or engaging her heart. So when she makes her proposition to Derek, she can’t understand his hesitation. For Derek, he doesn’t want something with Diana that has an end date. His determination and persistence is as hot as his seductive moves to win Diana over.
Poor Diana doesn’t know what hits her once Derek turns on his charm and caring, loving nature along with the established protectiveness. Add in all the American Wives to the Brits and the Scots? Diana starts to listen to her heart and her body.
Overall, it’s a hard won battle against Diana’s fear and confusion, but Derek is more than up for the challenge. Derek and Diana embark on a wonderful, loving and growing HEA.

**Audio Review**
One Hot Deal by Anna Durand was a sweet and spicy bodyguard romance with an added baby pact twist that captivated my heart from start to finish. Diana and Derek had this fun, flirty, and fiery hot opposites-attract chemistry that had me laughing and swooning! I loved the journey these two took as they gave in to the temptation to go after what they both truly desired. Each couple in Anna’s Hot Brit Series keeps getting better and better.
Marian Hussey and Jason Clarke narrate this audiobook, and were such a great pairing for Diana and Derek! Marian showcased Diana’s bossy, stubborn, and determined demeanor perfectly. However, she also brought light to Diana’s vulnerabilities and desires as she let her walls down and learned to love. Jason shined as the hot broody protective bodyguard. His ability to capture Derek’s strong will and dedication to Diana made my heart melt. (Yes, please!) Both narrators were also fantastic at capturing all the delicious accents.
Overall, I loved this book! If you are a fan of a reverse age-gap romance with a hunky loyal bodyguard, an uptight business mogul ready to start a family, a meddling sibling, hilarious witty banter, spicy baby love-making, a family wedding, catching up with so many of my favorite couples, learning to play cricket, a sweet adorable niece, and a HEA that will seal the deal on your heart, then you will love Derek and Diana’s romance. I always look forward to more from Anna Durand.

ETA: The audiobook is even hotter. Marian Hussey does a terrific job of performing an uptight billionaire who needs a little more from her life. Jason Clarke makes it clear that Derek is in right from the beginning. I had a great time listening to this.
Whew, get a fan! This is one hot book. Derek and Diana have serious chemistry from the first page of the book and right on through. They have been attracted to each other for months, but they have kept things professional until this point. The problem is that Diana never wants another relationship, just a baby. Derek knows that he won't be able to keep his heart out of the equation where Diana or a child is concerned. He believes that he can bring her around to his point of view, and the sexy games begin. Of course, there are some surprises along the way, but this story is pretty low on angst. It is really about different kinds of love, particularly because Avery and Hugh's wedding is a big part of the setting. That also means that there are cameos by several McTaggarts, especially Callum. The whole thing was so much fun that I ended up reading it in one day!

This book was teased throughout One Hot Scandal and it was fun to see how they played out!
Diana came in to help Hugh turn his company around and Derek was hired to be personal security for her. And the connection is instantaneous. But three months later, Diana thinks she has the perfect solution to enjoy him and get what she wants out of life.
But Derek wants more than to make a contribution then leave a child behind. But when past hurts come up, can these two work through them and find happiness?
Derek and Diana get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.
I loved that both characters were a bit older and not just in their late twenties or early thirties. And without it being mentioned, I didn’t see an age gap here. It was great to see the MacTaggert and Dixon families all come to support Hugh and Avery. Although, I think I missed the connection between Hugh to the Dixons.
I received an advanced review copy from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 A Captivating & Heartfelt Delight!

Anna Durand continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her “Hot Brits” world and it is great to be back in this wonderful world she created it is one of my favorite places to visit and what makes it so great is the fabulous characters, her Hot Brits and Scots are charming, likable and easy to fall for. This book is Diana Sangster and Derek Hahn’s story, as with the other books in the series, this stands on its own but it is beneficial to have read the earlier books because some characters appear in each other’s books and it is great to know their backstory, plus seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. That said it is not a necessity since the author gives you everything you need to know about those characters in her descriptive details. I loved how Durand stepped away from the norm and the usual, instead of the billionaire being a male she gives us a female, Diana, She is Hugh’s business partner, Lord Steamy from “One Hot Scandal”, a workaholic in her mid-forties and she wants more than her career, she had made some bad choices with men and is not looking to get involved with anyone or for a long-term relationship, but she wants to have a child before it is too late and she has her eye on Derek, he bodyguard. Derek, an American, moved across the pond to be closer to his sister, Avery, who is marrying Hugh. He is in the security business and was hired to protect Diana, he may be a few years younger than her but that does not put a damper on his attraction to her and when she offers him a deal, be her sperm donor in exchange she will get him a high-profile client to work for in the states. He tells her he will think about it, which he does, and then comes up with his own plans to get past her barriers and make her his. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Anna Durand, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Anna Durand always casts to perfect narrators, Jason Clarke and Marian Hussey, to bring her characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit their character to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Marian Hussey grasped every side of Diana’s personality, from the bossy business executive to her vulnerabilities and when she allows to feel again. Jason Clarke nailed it as Derek, from his protective nature to his strength and determination to get what he wanted. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen!

Anna Durand continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her “Hot Brits” world and it is great to be back in this wonderful world she created it is one of my favorite places to visit and what makes it so great is the fabulous characters, her Hot Brits and Scots are charming, likable and easy to fall for. This book is Diana Sangster and Derek Hahn’s story, as with the other books in the series, this stands on its own but it is beneficial to have read the earlier books because some characters appear in each other’s books and it is great to know their backstory, plus seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. That said it is not a necessity since the author gives you everything you need to know about those characters in her descriptive details. I loved how Durand stepped away from the norm and the usual, instead of the billionaire being a male she gives us a female, Diana, She is Hugh’s business partner, Lord Steamy from “One Hot Scandal”, a workaholic in her mid-forties and she wants more than her career, she had made some bad choices with men and is not looking to get involved with anyone or for a long-term relationship, but she wants to have a child before it is too late and she has her eye on Derek, he bodyguard. Derek, an American, moved across the pond to be closer to his sister, Avery, who is marrying Hugh. He is in the security business and was hired to protect Diana, he may be a few years younger than her but that does not put a damper on his attraction to her and when she offers him a deal, be her sperm donor in exchange she will get him a high-profile client to work for in the states. He tells her he will think about it, which he does, and then comes up with his own plans to get past her barriers and make her his. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Anna Durand, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Anna Durand always casts to perfect narrators, Jason Clarke and Marian Hussey, to bring her characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit their character to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Marian Hussey grasped every side of Diana’s personality, from the bossy business executive to her vulnerabilities and when she allows to feel again. Jason Clarke nailed it as Derek, from his protective nature to his strength and determination to get what he wanted. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen!

She might occasionally lightly flirt with him, but she never gave him real sign, she wanted him. She just watched him closely. Then his sister, Avery and Hugh started matchmaking. Diana came up with a bizarre idea of her having a baby, and her plan to accomplish the deed. Derek knew if he was going to win Diana's heart, he was going to have to tread lightly peeling all her layers back finding the real Diana. Join the excitement for Hugh and Avery's wedding festivities as all the MacTaggarts, Dixons, and Hunters head to Sommerleigh House for games and the big day. As usual you get a small look back at past characters, but you cannot help but fall in love with the new ones too. The story comes to life to the point the characters almost feel like friends and family your hearing from. Highly recommend!.

I'm loving this series and Diana and Derek’s story is a delight, it's witty and tells how Derek met Diana. They are both successful in their own businesses she's a self-made Billionaire while Derek runs a security company.
When she needs to hire a bodyguard Derek is chosen for the job because of a friend's recommendation. From the start, the two have an undeniable and obvious chemistry but have chosen to do nothing about it because of the employee/boss situation. That is until Diana decides what she needs to make her life complete is a baby, but as she has no significant other and because of past hurts doesn't want one, how? She asks Derek to be the donor and he, for his own reasons agrees. But what neither was anticipating was that the chemistry they share would blossom into so much more.
I like that they are older, have lived and are confident business owners. Derek is an alpha full of confidence and a strong protective steak, I loved him. Diana’s smart, independent and very likeable. The banter they have as they try to hide their attraction is so good. All in all a great addition to the series.

One Hot Deal is a deliciously excellent escape from reality. I had to go back and check, but we met Diana and Derek in Book 7, One Hot Scandal (Hugh and Avery’s book). I really enjoy the common characters throughout the series with those Dixon Brothers. When a bodyguard and his charge have instant chemistry they both try to deny we have the perfect setting for this naughty workplace, bodyguard, baby-pact romance that is all kinds of steamy fun! The cat and mouse brings the fun for this fast-paced insta-love story guaranteed to entertain and romance us all through the series of intriguing characters and fun shenanigans we know we can count on from Anna Durand!
I’m so glad Anna champions romance audio and chooses excellent narrators to bring her stories to life. Jason Clarke is an absolute favorite who delivers all the goods in this book, moving flawlessly between characters and pulling us into his swoony performance. Marian Hussey did a wonderful job as the sophisticated, complicated, sexy, powerful Diana. Altogether, another excellent audiobook from Anna that I thoroughly enjoyed!

This is seriously one hot delightful story full of humor, banter, intrigue, steam, age gap, secrets, your hooked from the start such a terrific read one you don't want miss getting.
Diana Sangster a British Billionaire she a powerful business tycoon she been attracted to her new bodyguard Derek Hanh for months their chemistry is undeniable but won't cross the line of Boss/Employee she's not interested in having another relationship but she does want a baby.
Diana presents a deal to Derek she wants him to get her pregnant but when the deed is done they go back to what they were before the deal & he gets a promotion something he won't pass up.
Diana expects him to keep everything secrets for her public image & protection but he wants to be part of the baby's life.
I definitely recommend to get this book enjoy the journey "Derek & Diana" take you on will they get a HEA so well worth the read fun banter back & forth you can't put down so well written it won't disappoint. AWESOME MUST READ FOR SURE!!!

I can't get enough of the Hot Brits and Scots books from Anna Durand! One Hot Deal definitely does not disappoint. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely loved the flip of having a female hot Brit this time. Not to mention that she's over 40 with a sexy younger man. The billionaire, Diana, and her bodyguard, Derek, have fantastic chemistry from the get go. Their internal monologues are absolutely charming, witty, and steamy. When they finally give it a go after striking their deal, it's full hotness ahead!!! We also get visits from old friends and family we fell in love with in the previous books. One Hot Deal was the perfect blend of low angst, humor, and super spicy fun!
Marian Hussey and Jason Clarke definitely understood the assignment! They were a fantastic pairing and I hope we'll see them again soon. We all know Jason does a fab Irish accent, so I'd be all in if some Hot Irish friends and family just happened to get their own series and crossovers. Just putting that out there. 😘🍀

Can I have a body guard pretty please. Diana is super rich, hot, and very reserved. Derek has been observing and admiring her for 3 months. There wasn't a lot of intrigue. Mostly what you read about is Diana trying to not be so reserved and stiff and Derek trying to break through. When Diana decides she wants a baby and wants it the old fashioned way somehow Derek agrees. She is going to ship him off to America but he is banking on the fact that by the time she gets pregnant she will be attached to him. This was a really sweet yet hot read. The mogul in a skirt lusting after her hired muscle....what could go wrong?.

This is one of my favorite types of romance - bodyguard and his charge. In this case British Diana Sangster is a highly successful business billionaire who is a work-a-holic and avoids romance. But she's now 45 and she wants a child. She looks to her hot bodyguard for the donation. American Derek Hahn is 38, so younger than her, and has been her bodyguard for three months. His sister married Hugh who is Diana's business partner. She offers Derek a plum job back in America if he does this with no ties to the resulting child. After a lot of soul searching he decides he can't walk away from any child he's fathered. And so starts their journey eventually into love. This was a fun adventure and I found it pretty believable. Diana has been wounded in the past and has kept her heart walled up for years. Derek manages to break through and she begins to feel again.

Rocking more than the boat
One Hot Deal is the eighth book in the Hot Brits series and this one will melt your eReader for sure. I really loved this story, it is one of my favorite of the series, and the characters of Diana Sangster and Derek Hahn were freaking wonderful together. There is an instant chemistry but as he has been hired to be her bodyguard and keep her safe it is hands off. That is about to change though as Diana wants more, a whole lot more. but Derek wants to all and is not willing to settle for anything less. What they have to go through to get it makes an awesome story and very delightful read.

I was excited to be back in the Hot Brits world and once again Anna delivers us a fun, steamy romantic comedy. Diana is a billionaire business woman and Derek is the bodyguard hired to protect her and they make a pact to make a baby. These two have so much chemistry that Diana is determined to keep feelings out of their arrangement but Derek is determined to prove to her that they can be more. I loved watching their journey and all of the family bonding at Derek’s sister wedding. Marian Hussey and Jason Clarke bring these characters to life and I enjoyed both of their performance as Diana and Derek.

This is one addictive read. It was a page turner that I couldn’t put down. It is book 8 in the series but can be read as a stand alone book. This book is about Diana and Derek. Diana is a billionaire and an older woman. She hires Derek to be her security and end up hiring him to be her donor for the baby she is desperate for. This book is has some hot and steamy scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

This was a delightful listen from start to finish. Diana and Derek's chemistry was instant and intense from the start. Their attraction to one another was undeniable. I loved how Derek's sister tried to play matchmaker with him and Diana. She was a funny character and loved to see guest appearance from the Scots and Brits form the series combine. The narration by Jason Clark and Marian Hussey was wonderful. they did a great job bringing Derek and Diana to life. This sweet, spicy and steamy age gap romance was the perfect weekend listen.

This is book 8 in the Hot Brits Series, a Bodyguard Romance. Derek and Diana's Dereck's story is sweet, engaging, and steamy. Diana, a billionaire business woman, is smart, sassy, and determined. Her bodyguard Dereck is sexy, handsome, and protective. Their chemistry is sizzling hot! I liked the humor in the story. The supporting characters are great. Jason Clarke and Marian Hussey did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to One Hot Favor, the next book in the series.

Convincing Diana would be the tricky part but he knew her and knew he needed to win her trust. Love the banter, the steaminess and all the secondary characters. Fab read.

I really enjoyed the fact that Diana was the billionaire rather than Derek. It was a nice chance of pace to see the roles reversed. This was so good and steamy! I also loved getting to see what everyone else was up to from past books and all their meddling.

This one stands alone but has a lot of overlap with other books in this and other series. There isn't anything else you need to read, but if you were going to read one book first, read book 7 "One Hot Scandal" as that couple, and their wedding, are featured in this story.
Diana is a business woman in the higher end of the fertile window of life and though she doesn't need a relationship or a man in her life, she does want a baby.
Derek owns a personal security firm and is an expert in close coverage. He is one of Diana's main guards and he also features strongly in her fantasies. Maybe she can convince him to help her out with a little... donation.
Derek is extremely attracted to Diana so once the deal is struck, he's more than willing to provide his donation... the old fashioned way. Maybe along the way he can convince Diana that he's not like other men and he's worth keeping around for more than just... donations.
In true Anna Durand fashion we get a whole cast of fun side characters most of which have already found their HEA elsewhere in this interconnected universe of stories. It's amazing to know if you're curious about any of the pairings, you've got a huge back list to dive into as well as some delightful teasing of couples to come.

I can't decide if it's because I listen to the audiobook instead of reading the ebook or if it's the female narrator's voice. Whatever the reason is, this book just didn't do it for me. The story felt rushed and did not create the level of intimacy needed for me to buy into their relationship. I've read Anna Durand's books before and I really enjoyed them. This one just didn't do it for me. I can see where others might really enjoy it.
