😭❤️

This book was a beautiful display of love, the strength of women, and the power of sisterhood and family. I absolutely adored Sloane and literally wanted to give her the biggest hug, ever. Sloane and Jace’s story could easily be any of ours. Sloane is a new mother and grieving the loss of her mother. She is dealing with postpartum depression and adjusting to life is a struggle. Luckily she has Jace by her side. Jace needs all the roses because he held it DOWN for his wife and daughter. It was truly a heart tugging display of how a partner should be. I loved everything about this book! The realistic aspect; seeing Sloane grow into her role as a mother while processing a major loss - amazing! The author did such a great job with this storyline! These sisters are so special and I love how unique they are, yet how strong their bond is. Awesome job!! 💕

“You’ve always looked out for your sisters and everyone around you. Now it’s time to let others do it for you. I’m your husband, and it's my job to help you get past this, so let me in. Don’t shut yourself out from me anymore. I love you too much to continue allowing you to suffer in silence.” - Jace 😭🥺

Difficult

I agree with another reviewer; I was unsure I wanted to continue the sad story again. Sloane and her sisters loss their mother in the previous story. Sloane gave birth on the same day. She grieved and grieved and grieved. I felt terrible for Jace and their baby. At some point, I wanted to say enough already. But.... I recalculated the thought as everyone grieves differently. Overall, this was a nice slow-burn grief and then relief story.

Wow, it was wonderful how each emotion Sloane experienced made us think. Sloane received challenging postpartum cards while also grieving for her mother. Even though she was alittle annoying , she always tried to make the best of the situation. Jace is such a great man. He has incredible patience and really stood by his wife through it all.

My heart

My heart went out to Sloane because of all she had to endure. Postpartum depression is very real and I felt so bad for her but her family really supported her. Jace was very supportive and understanding of what she was going through. More husbands need to be like him. I loved seeing the other sisters and how happy they were with their men. This was a good ending to a great series.

Sloane's story did not disappoint! I think her story was the most anticipated for me especially by how we left off at the end of Aurora's. It was heartbreaking to watch Sloane go through postpartum along with being depressed about the death of her mother. I can't imagine experiencing both the greatest and worst moment of your life in one day like that. Jace really came through for Sloane by being patient with her through this process. I also appreciated that we touched a little on the fact that Sloane essentially doesn't have any biological parents present for her in her life. As close knit as the family is, it couldn't be ignored that she is different from her sisters in that way. I loved how her dad essentially reaffirmed that she's always been his no matter what biology says. It was a really sweet and important moment. I'll miss the Parker Sisters but I'm glad they all are happy!

Sloane

This was my favorite of the series. Although it was sad, it also was the realest. How do you reconcile the most joyous event falling on the most egregious day? I felt Sloane should have been 'forced' into therapy however when necessity required her maternal instincts, I loved that she came through. Jace was a patient, loving husband that exemplified a real man. He held his family down. All the support from both families gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.
Good series overall but editing is definitely needed.

I always love a book in which the FMC overcomes mental health struggles. There are some struggles with overcoming grief to be mindful of if that’s a trigger for you. Of the Parker Sister’s series, Sloan’s book was definitely my favorite.

Another phenomenal read! This book displayed the struggles Sloane faced while grieving her mom and becoming a mom. Her fight to get back to herself made me emotional. I was so proud of my girl! Jace was an amazing husband and father. His parents and her dad were amazing as well. The loving sister banter that I loved throughout the books was presence in this book as well. Tay out her foot in this series! Loved every one of these books.

Heartbreaking

This was such an emotional read on so many levels. One dealing with the loss of a parent at the same time as brining a new life into the world and needing their guidance but not having it. Two the postpartum Sloane felt after having Brayleigh was just raw and I loved it. I have never dealt with these feelings before but Tay Mo’nae made me feel every emotion Sloane felt when it came to her struggles after giving birth. Jace…whew what a hell of a man, Jace loved Sloane through every since emotion she felt, he was patient and willing to do whatever it took to help his wife. I loved his vulnerability and being able to admit his own feelings. The way he loved on little Brayleigh in the absence of her mother was the cutest thing. Sloane’s in laws were so patient and understand of Sloane and Jace’s situation. I loved how his mom stepped up to help Sloane. Sloane’s relationship with her dad was so touching. Finally, the sisterly bond was phenomenal, while I thought Gianna was a little to harsh at times her and Aurora were there to help Sloan get better. While no one truly understood what Sloane was going through there was no judgement just everyone working together to care for Brayleigh and get Sloan out of depression.

I was in tears while reading this book it was amazing, it was pure emotional perfection that displayed the power of sisterhood, a strong and supportive family dynamic, the patience and love of a good man, and the strength of a woman…I loved every single part of it.

Okay! I must admit that it took me a minute to get on Sloane's side, with the way she was behaving! I can't imagine the difficulty of dealing with postpartum depression and grief at the same time, but at times she just felt selfish to me! 🤷‍♀️ Her husband was begging to help her or get her help, as well as her sisters and her dad! She just closed everyone off and refused to even listen to their pleas and suggestions! Can I say that Jace is an angel? That man's patience was a superpower! Although he was disappointed with Sloane at times, he never lost his cool, and continued to support and uplift her! Once the pieces started to connect, and Sloane began to open up, my heart softened toward her. I then understood how lost she felt, along with not having a connection to Bray. Would love to have one more book to wrap up the lives of these sisters, and see how dad is fairing. Good read! 👍👍👍

Emotional for me

I love the Parker Sister series. I’m so glad Sloan resolved her issues, but I can relate to losing a mom and feeling lost and depressed. I was extra emotional reading this with Mother’s Day being tomorrow and my mom being deceased. Grief is so tricky and individualized. Glad she had a strong support system it truly makes all the difference. Jace was amazing as a husband and father. I’m also happy to see Gianna and Aurora doing so well in their relationships too. Sweet series with real life issues.

Sloan

I almost didn’t read this book because I didn’t want to grieve the loss of their mom for the 3rd time and I knew Sloane took it so hard so it would be tough as I empathized with her. Throw in the post partum and my heart really went out to Sloane! Jace definitely gets a gold medal 🥇 for being such a sweet and understanding husband while being a phenomenal father. He “overstood” his vows!

Sloane 💕 💕

This book had me all in my feelings! I cried, laughed and was overall extremely happy with this book. Gianna is my favorite sister but I always loved the way Sloane carried herself. Seeing her deal with all she had going on (I don’t want to spoil the book) it was great and fulfilling to see her overcome and become a better wife, sister and lastly a mom.

Great great great book!!!!!

After The Storm The Sun Can Shine!

Tay what a great series. This series hit home to be. It helped me where I thought I was over grieving but it just comes back up whenever this topic comes up. I think every woman can relate to Allah's situation. It helps having support but what about the ones that don't? I pray this series brings some peace to those that read it. I thank you for some healing I didn't know I needed.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

So real…

I love when a story touches on real world situations. Postpartum depression coupled with loss is A LOT! I loved that the author allowed us to see it from both Sloane and Jace’s perspective and how it impacted them both. While I’m an advocate for therapy, I liked that the author allowed Sloane to work through her situation in her own way.

When a Man Truly Loves You

Even the strong needs someone. Sloane was faced with two life changing events in the same day.

It's very hard for people that are titled the strong one in the family to recognize or even ask for help.

The love of a true on can bring you out of the darkness. Excellent Job!!

I wasn't too sure if I'd like Sloane, yet given her struggles and her exceptional husband Jace by her side through it all, I couldn't do anything but love her.

Mourning and post partum depression are tough on their own, but put them together and one can be taken to a very dark place. This was what happened to Sloane. She pushed all her family away and had no connection to her newborn daughter. One thing I did like was that even though she was having a hard time, she cried and expressed that something was wrong, yet she didn't know what. Her sister, dad, in-laws and husband all had her back and I'm certain had she not had them, she would've been worse off.

Having a baby changes you and I'm glad the story was real in that aspect. Sloane felt the change and was reassured by her husband that she was still just as fine and beautiful as always.

Jace was the husband of the century and he wasn't even trying. He loved his wife and was determined to help her by any means necessary. He was beyond patient and affirming with Sloane. I love that his parents, even being much older in age, stepped in with helping their granddaughter with pleasure. I like that his mom recognized Sloane having post partum depression and was willing to assist her. These were some great parents whom raised a great man.

I love all the updates for the Parker sisters. I hope there's more.

This was a great way to wrap up these sisters. Great read. Highly recommend.

The mothering one....

Ms. Tay, I had been anticipating Sloane's story. I wasn't quite ready for the emotional rollercoaster it took me on. It broke my heart 💔 to read how Sloan was suffering from grieving and postpartum at the same time. She had an anchor on her so heavy she couldn't connect with her baby. It was a blessing in disguise when baby Brayleigh got sick. It snapped Sloane into mother mode. Sloane was the "mother" to not only baby Brayleigh but to Gianna and Aurora as well. Her bump in the road affected everyone around her not just her household. She started to slowly get back to herself and be the dynamic mother she knew she could be. I have to say Jace earned the "husband of the year" award. He was doing it all while his wife was down. He didn't complain at all he took it in strides. He also asked for assistance from his parents that helped Sloane. The love Jace had for his wife had no limits, he knew he had to aid his wife back to good health.

This is a magnificent series that Ms. Tay brought to us about three sisters. They all were similar but uniquely different as well. I loved how each sister's personality fit them to a tee. If you haven't had the chance to get to know the Parker sisters you should. You will be highly entertained starting with the youngest sister Gianna. Ms. Tay feels free to give us an update on these three anytime.

My Life Story !!!

Is so crazy that I found this book in general and decided to read the whole series before I read this actual book...this is my life story seriously I lost my mom a week after having my second son just last year...I have been struggling with depression and postpartum depression it hasn't been as bad as Sloane but I resonate with this specific book...it took me through all the emotions that I have been trying to avoid this past year and I'm thankful for it I'm thankful for being able to read this story and thoroughly enjoy it...I'm happy Sloane was able to get back to herself and love on her baby && to have an AMAZING HUSBAND !!! who still supported and loved her through it all...and I'm grateful that I have been able to have a supportive partner ass well...Thank you MS. That's What Happens When You Are Loved!!

Sloane was going through it. Her mama died and her daughter was born on the same day. Sloane has so many people that loves her and cared for her. Aurora has told Sloane, she needed to get her ish together. Gianna told her about herself. Most men would have left but Jace. He had to remind Sloane of what use to do. Aurora put a pause on her "all men are dogs" podcast. Since she got engaged. Gianna and Xavier is living their best life, even though he's worried about his brother. Brayleigh latch on and that's all Sloane and Jace every wanted. Also to bond with her mama.

What a beautiful story about endurance and perseverance

Although, I've never dealt with the loss of a mother OR postpartum depression, I know someone who lost their mother 3 weeks before giving birth, and she is really struggling with her grief and trying to raise a baby. This story was beautifully written, and every empathetic fiber in me wanted to reach out and tell Sloane it will be okay one day. Jace and his parents were so supportive, and non judgmental. What a blessing to have a family like that. I hope that this is not the last that we hear about this family.

Loved it!

I felt soooo much pain during the beginning because sis needed help and wouldn't take any. It's amazing how she had such a great support system and amazing husband that she was allowed the space to feel her feelings (for a while). It warmed my heart when things started looking up and eventually got better. I can't fully describe all my feelings but it gave me all the feels! Great read!
After going on these journeys with the Parker sisters, I feel like a Parker sister too 😂 lmao

Emotional 🥺

I felt all the emotions reading this one. Sloane was going through it being a new mom and losing her mom on the same day she gave birth. I felt so bad for her because that’s a lot but she had an amazing support system. Her sisters were there for her, her in laws and her dad all wanting to help her out of the depression she was in. Jace was amazing. He was so caring, patient and understanding with her. I’m so glad she had them and was able to bounce back to herself.

Great Read

Sloane went through a very tough time after losing her mom and having her baby the same day. She was severely depressed. Jace supported her in every sense, as well as her family. Once she snapped out, she came back full force. Talking to her dad was the worst and final thing she had to do. I'm glad she had such a wonderful support system to help her. Hopefully, we'll read more on Aurora's marriage and when Gianna gets married.

Grief and Postpartum depression is real

Ms. Mo’Nae did a great job covering such a sensitive issue. I would have like for Sloane to have gotten some counseling however through such a great support system she was able to get through it. I can’t say enough about Jace and his love and patience he had for his wife. He was definitely the GOAT. I’m glad the Parker girls all got their HEA.

All stories aren’t the same…

I enjoyed reading this series, each sister’s book had drama, love a bit of sadness but through it all they showed the best aspects of having family to lean on. I liked that each boyfriend/husband complimented their significant other precisely.

I wouldn’t mind if the author created a follow-up book just to check in and see what each couple is up to now.
