“I Colton Stokes reject you Harper Kirby as my mate”
When Harper’s fated mate, and future beta of her pack cruelly rejects her on her 18th birthday, before mysteriously changing his mind, she must decide if she is willing to risk her wolf to accept his rejection and truly break the fated bond. It is only when she flees her pack, leaving her family and friends behind, does she think that she is finally safe from the terrible events.
But fate has other ideas, and ten years later Harper finds herself back in her old pack as an Elite Warrior for the Supernatural Council, to investigate the new invading Alpha with a reputation for being stone cold and ruthless. And her former mate, now Beta of the pack, is determined to get her back. Things are only further complicated when she discovers the new Alpha is her second chance mate.
Can Harper investigate her new Alpha mate? And what does the Beta know that makes him so hell bent on taking Harper all for himself? Devastating betrayals and deep rooted secrets that rock Harper’s world and challenge her belief in who she really is, are revealed in Book 1 of the Divine Order Series.
Really good storyline, I thought at first the book was a little too young adult for me in the first few chapters but once the storyline changed to the main character 10 years later the storyline developed a really interesting plot...
the angel/demon storyline and familial lines became slightly confusing, not being able to keep up with who was alpha and who took over when etc but it didn't massively impact the plot so it was easy to brush past any confusion..
overall a really good read, with the ending it can be read as a standalone book or you can continue to series if you choose to

This fated mate's paranormal romance is a ride from heartbreak to hell to happiness and back again. Harper develops from a naive teenager to a heroine in the book. There are some great antagonist charters you want to strangle and a twisted plot that keeps you hooked. I liked how the author took the story from rejected mates to second-chance mates and added some suspense. There are just enough steamy scenes and some triggering ones as well. However, the author hooked me when she added unexpected paranormals, which became a more significant part of the story than the second chance romance. I enjoyed this read and love Harper's character and plot line.
Harper just turned 18 and is excited about finding her fated mate. She is a wolf shifter, or werewolf, as they call them in this story. Her mate turns out to be the future Beta of the Midnight Moon Pack, Colton. Wow, this couple gets steamy fast.
What a prick Colton is; I didn't see that coming. Her world gets very confusing at the end day, and I have to say I don't like Colton. However, the Alpha and Beta of this pack might be clueless. The story is very interesting, but I did find some spelling oopsy.
We do eventually time jump ten years in the future. Harper is very brave for the choices she finally makes. She has moved up in the world of shifters in that time. However, her new assignment brings her back home to the person who damaged her so much. She is much stronger and more determined than she used to be but still afraid to face her past.
Harper is a badass woman now, but the moon goddess surprised her with a second chance mate, and I wasn't expecting it to be him. It is nice that we get both points of view but redoing the past event isn't necessary. The author made it very complicated.
Trust and healing from trauma come into play, but Harper is still in a highly complex situation. As everything goes to hell, this gets more curious, and the author brings in more paranormal characters. This book has a fantasy vibe toward the end as it becomes about more than wolf shifters fated mates and takes on a new paranormal adventure. However, the story itself of Harpers' mate issues and her finding happiness finally was terrific.
I couldn’t put this book down. Character development was amazing and I felt like I could relate to the characters in different ways (minus the supernatural element, of course). The plot twists were great and it wasn’t a book where I could guess the outcome immediately either (I hate those types of books!). I didn’t know where it was going to go and every bit of it captured me into wanting to read more. I’m gutted the 2nd one isn’t quite out yet on Amazon. I NEED more Harper! I truly loved this book.
I nearly didn't finish the book, it was all over the place and too many characters. And also how can u make Colton a bad guy when he and harper have a sizzling chemistry bet them? I know he was a jerk but i would have like him to be with Harper in the end. Elias? No chemistry bet him and Harper sorry but i don't like the ending ans won't be reading the rest :(
Aisling is an amazong author, a true weaver of words and worlds. She has a knack for keeping readers spellbound with cliff hangers and puzzle pieces that create a bigger world than we could imagine.
When I started reading Beyond Beta’s Rejection by Aisling Elizabeth I already knew there would be a rejection. After all, it is right there in the title. But when it happens (and very early in the story) I was angry and appalled and shocked and … there were just so many emotions going through me, none of them good, that if I could, I would have climbed into the story and whooped Beta heir Colton’s ass.
When he later, at the prodding of the Alpha and Beta of the pack, decides to take back the rejection I was like, “Oh, hell no! We are NOT letting that jerk anywhere near us!” Fyi, in this book, I cast myself as Harper’s wolf.
I was glad when a plan was set in motion to allow her to escape and many years later she comes back a warrior woman … stronger, not easy to intimidate. When she finally meets her second chance mate, Alpha Ezra, it was complicated, to say the least. This is complicated by the fact that Colton, now the Beta, still wants her back.
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” – Sir Walter Scott
Such an appropriate line to be used on all three of them. This story is exciting and action-packed. While the romance aspect is there, it isn’t really the main focus. If at all, it is, perhaps the motivation tool of the characters. This reads like a spy story, I loved it! I couldn’t put the book down and I finished reading it in a day. I swear you have to read it, too! You won’t regret it.
Beyond Beta’s Rejection by Aisling Elizabeth is the first book in the Divine Order series. You can read this on reading apps like Goodnovel or you can purchase it from Amazon in either Kindle or paperback
I absolutely loved this book! Harper starts out as a naive girl but her experiences are what shape the badass warrior she’s destined to become. Rejected by her fated mate on her 18th birthday, Harper Kirby experiences heartbreak, manipulation and gaslighting by the one person who was supposed to love and protect her, Colton Stokes. It can be hard to read everything she has to go through, but I promise it’s worth it. After 10 years, Harper comes back as an Elite Warrior, no longer intimated by big bag wolves but also determined to protect her heart at all costs. When she meets her second chance mate, it’s not all smooth sailing as Harper fears the pull of the mate bond and the trauma she experienced all those years ago. Not to mention she’s supposed to be investigating her new mate for some very bad things he’s apparently been doing. Or has he? I loved all the plot twists and suspense of this book, the betrayal and heartache and passion; it’s all AMAZING. Aisling is just an incredible writer. Highly recommend!
I really really enjoyed this! It had vibes of other supernatural books and tv series, but that made me enjoy it more, I could imagine what characters looked and sounded like.
Certain characters behaviours actually made me dislike them at points!
I loved Harpers journey throughout the book, I could really relate that she went from being weak to strong kind of thing?
I loved Aisling’s writing style, the chapters just flowed nicely together and it really was a rollercoaster of a book!
Spicy scenes in places but I didn’t mind that, it went with the whole vibe of the book.
Apart from heroine’s odd timing grinning and smiling and laughing (for example - when her mate got imprisoned or when she was subdued by random people yet she is supposed to this baddass , fearsome warrior !!!!) the story was actually quite good. I would have loved if the book was at least 100 pages short . Nonetheless it was enjoyable.
PS : the story could be much better if the emotions of the characters were placed right and written correctly. It was so hard to relate with their odd timing emotions 😐
I like sex scenes but this was too much for me. I skipped those parts to get back to the plot. Also I was intrigued in the beginning then the middle was dragging on and the end was a little too fast. The speed of this book was not the best. I think you could have got rid of a quarter of the book of and it might of flowed better. It was an ok book but I won't be reading the other unless it's less that $5.
This book had twists and turns that will surprise you if you aren't paying attention. I liked this book and certain characters. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Sometimes it stressed me with worry at the main characters. But I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next in the series.
It started out making me cry, but the resulting growth from more than the heroine was awesome. It was intriguing and brought out all kinds of emotions. I put it down to catch my breath and calm down so I could keep going. Well written
I know a few other reviews say the book was not complete and you had to go to a different site to read it, but the book is actually complete as of now and it’s really good. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline.
What an amazing adventure. Laughed, swore, cried, calmed, ugly cried, tossed kindle and scared the spouse. And that’s just book one!! I feel like I made friends and fought along side them.
Read my book review of Aisling Elizabeth’s Beyond Beta’s Rejection, book one of the Divine Order. This is a paranormal romance, rejected mate and second chance mate.
I read the entire book in one day. I could not put it down! I'm definitely going to read all of the follow up books in this series! Great work Elizabeth!
