There are three stories that describe the HEA of Rowe family (two daughters and their father) in three different books:

1. Ex-Rated Attraction about Olivia Rowe (daughter) and much older Miles Reynolds.
Olivia used to date Miles’ son, until she found out that he was cheating.
She was attracted to Miles, so she slept with him and she never regretted it. The book is hot. But honestly, the fact that Miles kept repeating that he was a villain, was getting in my nerves.
The only villain in the story was his son who first cheated his boyfriend with Olivia and then cheated Olivia with his boyfriend. Confusing? It is a messy story.

2. Crybaby about Sophia Rowe (daughter) and much older Drew Hamilton.
Chronologically the story takes place after Ex-Rated Attraction, but it was published before it. This is one of these books by K. Webster that I don’t know how to rate them. The writing is brilliant, but I still have problems with the girl’s age.
I would probably not have read it, if I knew that Sophia is under age. I mean I know that some 17 years old girls like older guys, but I still do not like it. I remember my best friend in highschool never dated anyone less than 30. Me on the other hand when I was 17, I thought that any guy over 22-23 is ancient.
Anyway, the story is heartbreaking, but Drew got in my nerves as well like his best friend Miles. How can you be an experienced physical therapist and not realizing that maybe there is something really wrong with your patient that has nothing to do with her accident? And how can you treat like that a really f@cked up 17 years old girl? What a jerk!

3. Malfeasance about Judge Max Rowe who is a bit over 50 and much younger Dorian.
I think that was my favorite from Rowe family. Max was a sweetheart, very supportive, patient, a genuine nice guy. He tried to raise alone his two daughters after his wife died by cancer and he was so lonely until he found love again. Dorian was running away by her violent ex and Judge Max and his friends help her to get rid of him. Super sweet and sexy story. The events happen during the same timeframe as the events by Crybaby.

Rowe family has HEAs with babies, weddings and happiness.

Malfeasance used to be part of the short stories collection: Drawn to Him. A Romance Collection.
Now you can find it as a standalone.
3 stars for the story.
And an extra star for the book cover.

Another “Taboo Treat “ from K. Webster that was a quick, hot, and low angst read. This story has a judge and a younger woman who catches his eye in a sex club!!! Max knows she looks familiar... and soon discovers that she was involved in one of his cases that went wrong. Max feels a strong need to protect her, and this leads to a sexy hot love affair between the two of them!

I did enjoy this book, but I will be honest and say that I had a bit of trouble with picturing a judge as hot and sexy! Lol! I know I shouldn’t stereotype... but it did end up a struggle for me! I love the fact that the secondary characters have been in most of the books in the Taboo Treats collection! I’m going to take a break for now but I still have a few more left to read! Each story does stand alone!

This is the fifth story of K. Webster's Taboo Treats, all the stories are standalone and can be read in any order, or so they say, but I can't agree to that, or that they are standalone.

3,8 stars, this one is about judge Max Rowe, father of Olivia married to Miles (Ex-Rated Attraction) and Sophia married to Drew (Crybaby), friend of Dane (Dane), Easton Married to Lacy (Preach), friend of Olivia and Rick (Bad Bad Bad). And the list goes on, since the characters are all connected between them.

Max goes with Dane to a bar, he wants to start dating, since his wife died of cancer eleven years ago, he really loved her and now his daughters are gown up (at this point only Olivia is married to Miles and Sophia starting to see Drew, but he doesn't know yet), he needs something/someone in his life.
The bartender seems familiar to him, so he tries to remember from where, that's when he sees the scar on her face.
Dorian tries to escape him, she's 22 years old and Max 52, another age gap story, he chases her just to see another guy after her.
Dorian lost in trial against his boyfriend that still wants her back, that's when Max step in to safe the day.


This is a sweet insta love, a very quick reading.
As always, K. Webster interconnect in an amazing way all the characters and even a short story has all the necessary information.
All these books, complement itself, so, for me at least, I have to read them all.
It's a really nice reading.

Honestly considering how Max lost his wife, how long he waited because he couldn’t forget that love, I’m a little disappointed. It feels so artificial and rushed with Dorian.

I can appreciate the storyline, the fact that he’s helping her escape the claws of her evil ex. I just wish it had all been fleshed out and not shoved into such a short story.

Unfortunately this is definitely my least favorite of the series. A shame really.

Judge Rowe can’t help but step in to save a girl who is in a bad situation. He thinks he’s just helping her out, but it turns out to be way more than he expected.

Anyhow, it was an okay story I guess. But for a novella, it works! You got age gap, single father and insta love. What's not to love.

I wasn't expecting this to be so good after I read Crybaby.

Max is sweet, alpha, caring, domineering and incredibly in love with Dorian. He rekindles the joy of living in Dorian's life after her abusive past. The passion between both of them is steaming and all scenes exploring that are great to read as they shun the shackles of their past. With the love of Max, Dorian's confidence grows and her strong character shines through. I am amazed that Ms Webster managed to put such a nice novella without making it feel lacking in any aspect.

This was…unexpected.



Starting this book I thought that all I was going to get was some pretty smutty scenes. And while I did get that (not as much as I would have liked, but that’s just my pervy self talking - ignore it), I can’t help but think that the predictability of the story was very disappointing. Besides that, the author strived to do the impossible and jammed all the imaginable scenarios into this, which did not work out heroine being harassed by an ex-boyfriend? CHECK. Heroine meets hero when she’s at her lowest? CHECK. Instant love? CHECK. She gets pregnant? ANOTHER CHECK. I mean…Give this girl a break already.





Anyways, let me just remind you that I'm a picky reader so if you'd like to try this out, go right ahead and have fun!

"Malfeasance" by K Webster within that taboo world. A new short romantic story, very quick to read, in which the characters have a gaping age difference.

Max Rowe, 52, is an important judge who since he suffered his wife's death ten years ago and still has not given his heart a chance to fall in love again. But in his view is Dorian Dresser, 22, who is fleeing from her ex-boyfriend who destroyed her life and that of the person she loved most.

Although the difference is significant, the whole book is not appreciated unless it is said, and both characters fit perfectly. Max is sexy and alpha, but he is perfect because he protects Dorian and gives her warmth, and shows her about true love and not what is abusive her ex gave her. And that's why Dorian deserves this new love and passion that Max gives her. This book closes the romances of the Rowe family, Ex-Rated Attraction and Crybaby. However, also appears Dane, the character of the book of the same name, and sheriff Rick from Bad Bad Bad, which is going to be the next one to read.

STORY:
Since this was the 49th book I’ve read by Webster, I know what she is capable of. Although MALFEASANCE is a decent, entertaining read, it does not at all demonstrate the breadth of Webster‘s talents. Having read so many books by her, I know that she is capable of much, much more.

Basically, MALFEASANCE is a boilerplate, age gap, erotic romance. Yes, there is an abusive ex-boyfriend,but otherwise there’s not a lot going on. If you’re looking for a steamy, quick read, this one’s for you. But if you want something more well developed with a more complex storyline, read one of Webster‘s non-Taboo Treat books!

Like all of Webster‘s books, MALFEASANCE flows well and is well written, yet there were several proofreading mistakes. There were typos such as COY for KOI, always using ONTO even when it should’ve been ON TO, and using INTO for IN TO. The FANBOYS comma rule was not followed, and commas were sometimes omitted between adjectives (for example, “...it’s written all over his handsome smug face”). Rules for commas regarding the word OH we’re not followed (for example, “Oh God” should’ve been “Oh, God”) and ellipses were not spaced correctly according to the Chicago Manual of Style.

Dorian is on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend who just can't let her go and continue to harass her until she met Max. Judge Max is the epitome of a true gentleman. He gave his undivided attention to help Dorian in any possible way and eventually falling for her.

Can they overcome any repercussion that comes their way because of this affair?

Malfeasance is a part of the Drawn to Him Collection. It was a short and intense taboo read of a forbidden, May-December, relationship. I enjoyed it and recommend if you want a quickie HOT story.

This is an age-gap trope romance novella with both main characters over 18 and consensual. The book title/description could lead one to believe otherwise and that bothered me as it could turn readers off from reading it. I rather enjoyed this sweet little story about Max, a widowed judge, who rescues a younger woman, Dorian, from an abusive man. There is “malfeasance” but I feel like the intent behind it was right. And, the HEA was just perfect in my opinion. 🥰

I don't know very well what to write about this one. Lately K Webster books that I have read leave much to be desired, I mean, they don't even reach My Torin's ankles and that's a bit sad.

In short, forbidden romance, he's 52 / she's 22, taboo? not for me.
