Rate this book
The members of the Sin City MC never leave before all the cards are played.

Son of a Vicar, Edmund “Preacher” Goodwin finds himself saying last rites and counseling his Sin City brethren. Saving souls is as necessary as breathing. It’s the only way to assuage the guilt for losing his own when he failed the people who mattered most. Life proved he and love were incompatible, but a flesh and blood man, he’s noticed the stunning woman who helps run the funeral home his MC has a deal with. When she comes to him for help, his conscience won’t let him say no. If anyone is going to protect Queenie, it’ll be him. The vow gets harder to keep when his past catches up with him.

Rian “Queenie” Banks has spent far too much time with the dead. Helping her family’s funeral home thrive meant putting her life on hold gave her a DOA love life and a lackluster existence. With her little sister stepping up to handle the business, she’s finally free to pursue her passion for interior design full-time. Reentry into the land of the living is cut short when she witnesses an execution that could start a war. Running scared, she goes to the people she knows can keep her safe, Sin City MC. Paired with the one member of Sin City who’s always made her want to break her rule to not mix business with pleasure, life takes an unexpected turn.

Easy Read with frustrating heroine

When Queenie witnesses a murder, she knows there is only one person she can go to for help, and that’s Preacher of the MC her family’s funeral home works with.

This was fine. Overall a decent story. I liked Preacher, but I wish they would’ve actually said his age. Just calling him older really gave me no sense of the age gap. Queenie was another story. She was irritating. She constantly did things they told her not to do that could’ve put everyone in danger. She also was too whiney for someone in their 30s.

A quick easy read. 3.5 stars.

Shame (contains spoilers)

This book with the action was one of the better ones of the series. Preacher is great although he dropped the ball with his daughter. With the ressources that his MC has, i’m surprised he couldn’t counter his ex wife in 10 years. Even his daughter had the dirt on her.
My main issue with the book was Queenie’s selfishness. Although she redeemed herself with Alexandria, her attitude with Preacher and the Sinners stank. I’m glad Preacher told her off. She ask him for help, he saved her life and she actually never thanked him or the Sinners. Worse she kept complaining about being a prisoner after only a few days. She actually almost put them in danger instead of following the rules, thinking that somehow she knew better. Complete lack of humility under the guise of independence. Even after the first time, in the middle of a war and with his teenage daughter, she insisted in calling her sister again even though Preacher told her she was protected. Her trying to get Preacher to choose her “confort” over his brothers potential safety really grated.

Rian ‘Queenie’ Banks will find herself running for her life when she finds herself witnessing a murder. Queenie will call the one man that she knows that she can count on Edmund ‘Preacher’ Goodwin. After leaving the Navy Edmund finds a place to belong within the Sin City MC and after a devasting blow, he may have finally found his second chance with Queenie. While for the most part there are some good moments in this story, it wasn’t well-developed and there were too many errors for it to rise above a three-point five-star rating. I hate when the female lead character is difficult, especially when someone is trying to protect them from harm.

Collaborative stories with various authors can be rather tricky when character names don’t align. I found that to be the case in book two of the Sin City MC series. In Grimm, the character’s name is Tavish ‘Grimm’ MacDaniel. In this story Grimm’s last name is McTavish. There were other inconstancies and errors throughout the story that disrupted the flow of what could have been a solid story.

Preacher and his Queenie💞😘💞

Preacher finally finding love at his age was worth it. He never expected it for himself but when there was an opening to have the woman he’d been pining over he made a move and it paid off❤️😍❤️. When Queenie found herself with information after witnessing a murder that could bring danger to her and her family, Preacher is the one she trusts could help keep her safe. I loved Preachers quiet strength wanting to care for his lover💞. Unfortunately Queenie not listening to the guys and doing things to jeopardize the situation really irritated me😑. Any person under the circumstances could understand the severity of the situation and the need to be remain quiet and hidden😏. Their mutual attraction was evident and I was happy for them finding love with each other💕❤️💕.

The was a quick age gap romance that had action, suspense, romance, hot sex scene and overall a nice story😉

Fantastic

WOW I enjoyed this book and it easily keeps you on edge of suspense. There's a powerful combination of suspense and excitement that will fuel your romance. All of the characters are so captivating and the family is so amazing and their relationship is magnificent. The story is so great and sometimes sweet and when you add in their family drama, along with their emotions about their love and the intriguing twists they go through you have a tale that's a great read that's truly delightful." Plus the brothers characters are amazing that it just worked so well together that I couldn't help but enjoyed their story along with how the suspense is built it's such a marvelous thing." This is definitely a awesome story to read but for one thing and that's the cliffhanger but if you enjoy a good cliffhanger then this is it.

I like Preacher but didn't care for Queenie, which is why this book only gets 3 stars. How are you going to call someone for help to save your life then turn around and say you're being held prisoner. Her attitude made absolutely no sense. You know someone just tried to kill you but all you want to do is go home and put your family's lives in danger. This made no sense to me. Anybody with any comments sense knows if they saw a murder take place someone is going to be after them to shut them up. Somehow that never crossed her mind. She just wants to walk out the door and go home.

My ass would have let her go fuck it. Better her than me and mine. I didn't even read the whole book because of her. I skipped parts just to get through it and see the outcome.

He swore he'd never allow himself to love again

One marriage was enough for Preacher. He gave up everything when his ex decided she no longer wanted to be his wife and practically blackmailed him to get her divorce on her terms. But, Rian Banks a.k.a. "Queenie" had always been in his mirror, he never let himself go there with her. He controlled his reactions to her until she got into trouble being a witness to a murder and needed his and his MC brother's protection. There was a new rival MC that wanted to take over by any means necessary. The Sinners were not going to shy away from a war that was forced on them and they handled it.

On top of all of this, Preacher's only child ran away to him seeking the truth and comfort. With the Triple RRR MC out of the way, Preacher was given a second chance with family. He now has his Flower and his daughter and he was not going to do anything to lose it.

Really Good

I don’t know I almost felt that I wasn’t going enjoy this story but I did. It had adventure, thriller, murder, sexy and suspense. I always like Shyla stories, so I had know ideal why I felt that way, but I finished it 2 hrs after starting it. Trust me if I don’t like, I don’t finish it.
This is a great read.

“When the path of life unfolds in front of us, we wind up in strange and unexpected places.”

When I think of motorcycle gangs, the quintessential biker image is formed in my mind. It's more than a lifestyle. This story reveals the protective nature of Preacher and shares his story of love, lost years and violence. Truly enjoyed this portrayal of "MC" life.

Book Review

This one was combination of sweet and dangerous! The author did a great job of combining the two! The fact that the main character preacher got his daughter back was a great touch as we all know many times when a couple spits up the father is always the one to lose connection with the children!

2nd book of Sun City MC!!!!! The first book was emotional and had you reeling and on edge, the second book delivers and you pulled in from the beginning, you looking at each page flip of what will happen next and questioning everything. Loved this read!

Preacher And Queenie

Oh my, how I love these two! She's bold, sassy and definitely knows what and who she wants. Preacher is a hottie for sure, yes he's biker but I love his personality. He's sweet, sincere, and a little bit alpha, which I love.

Preacher

Soft spoken, yet a hard a@@ when he needed to be. He protected his brothers and his girls by any means necessary. He patched them up and administered aid, when he needed them they took care of him.

I liked Preacher! Queenie/Rian, not so much! I was so struck by her calling Preacher and asking for his help, then treating him and the biker members like they were idiots! People like her tend to contribute to their own demise!

Finally home

Everyone makes choices. Some are good and some are bad. Preacher and his flower have been circling around their need for each other for years. It takes danger and greed to finally bring them together. At times, families can be reunited.

Queenie-Rian & Preacher are forced together when Queenie is attacked. Can Preacher save her or is he digging an even larger hole for himself and the MC? A good read.
