This series gets better and better! As tides ebb and flow, so do the emotions with their ups and downs for members of this “found family” on Shellseeker Beach. Misunderstandings, misguided decisions, new love, and secrets. A chance to have the resort featured in a popular travel magazine ramps up the tensions between the resort owners and local civic leaders. Through it all, this family of friends welcomes more me,bets and the love only grows. I’m loving this whole series - so many feels! I anxiously await the next book!

Hope Holloway has done it again with Sanibel Tides, book five in her Shellseeker Beach series. So much family drama is going on with the developing Found Family, a group of people with a connection one way or another to one woman, Teddy Blessing. So much love and friendship abounds within this family, too. Everyone discovers that life doesn’t always give you what you want or expect. But they also learn that friendship is lasting and priceless and the most important quality of their family. I highly recommend this book with the suggestion to read the entire series. I love it and cannot wait for the next book!

Sanibel Tides Sweep Characters, Loves In and Out!
Hope Holloway sets complex events in motion with Sanibel Tides, book 5 in her Shellseeker Beach series, and we need to hold on for the ride!
First, low tide. Olivia, adjusting to life as guardian of exuberant toddler Bash, is blindsided by Deeley's declaration that he's going home to North Carolina and letting his sister and her husband raise Bash. She loves Deeley and is growing to love Bash, so she doesn't believe his protests that she wants kids of her own and he doesn't want to force her to care for a child thrust on both of them after his parents' death. First "glum girl".
Claire is facing the departure of DJ after his ex-wife calls him about his teenage daughter, who wants to drop out of school and marry her boyfriend, and the daughter herself, Sophia, who calls him from the road where she's driving 85 and sobbing about her boyfriend cheating on her. He feels compelled to return to California, but his son Noah wants to stay on Sanibel and Claire won't leave her boy. Second glum girl.
Finally, Camille is just warming up to shopkeeper-next-door Buck when he ends their first date without a kiss or a request for anything in the future. Third glum girl.
Where do the GGs go? Teddy's house, of course!
But Teddy and Eliza have their own reason to be glum. Shellseeker Cottages has been overlooked as a " hidden gem" by Last Resort magazine, and Unwelcome Center employee Penny, wife of the mayor and former sister-in-law of Buck, seems to be behind it. She's thrown red tape and imaginary deadlines at them, but Buck cuts through it and simply asks the writer to visit. Penny doesn't like that at all!
Bash, unaware of his impending departure, plays happily in Jadyn's new preschool and picks prizes for "being caught being good"! Olivia wonders if he'll love his new preschool in NC.
Harper sings on the beach and proudly announces that she's the "best am-assador" of the beach. The whole crew agrees that she and Katie have a story to tell. So do Camille, Claire, and Noah; Eliza and Olivia; and Teddy. The common thread in all those stories is Dutch--Eliza and Claire's father; Camille's husband; and Teddy's companion--but they decide to frame its appeal in terms of family, blood or found. The other two Southwest Florida candidates have elegant fixtures and alleged pirate ghosts, but family makes their cottages special.
When Penny confronts Camille in Sanibel Sisters, saying "You know, and I know you know, and you know I know", Eliza asks PI Miles what secret about Buck Penny is accusing Camille of knowing. He discovers that aw-shucks Buck, seller of bait and resident of a boat, is a multimillionaire and his late wife's family suspects Camille of gold-digging. But Camille thought he was poor; that's why she didn't accept a date with him for months!
Then the tide changes. DJ flies to California, and later the same day Sophia shows up on the beach, horrified that DJ left without telling her, and says she wants to go back to California in case her boyfriend wants to reconcile! Claire, whose father married another woman while still married to Camille, tells her never to marry a cheater. Sophia jumps into the pool and doesn't surface until Claire goes in after her--a "test" Claire "passed", though if she'd failed Sophia wouldn't be alive to judge Claire's performance! With a phone call from Claire, DJ flies back to Florida.
Now the tide rolls in. Sophia asks to stay, and Claire says "yes, but
don't pull a stunt like that again." DJ returns and their family of three is a family of four. Camille, who's been feeling ill, crumples in front of a belligerent Penny from a heart attack, and when Eliza sees Penny in tears, thinking she caused Camille's attack by yelling at her, Eliza tells her to alert Buck so he can see Camille after her open-heart surgery. He arrives, and while he's in her pre-op room proposing to her, the Last Resort writer shows up, having heard that the people supposed to meet her had instead gone to the hospital to support another member of the "family". She says her department of writers is tied, with one vote for each candidate, but she's inclined toward Shellseeker because she was touched by the stories of the couple (George and Roz) who manage the shell shop, the pop-up pizza makers (DJ and Noah), the single mom who cleans the cabins with pride and a five-year-old (Katie and Harper)...and the long-haired former Navy SEAL who--
High tide! Olivia bursts out of the hospital and finds a whirlwind running to her yelling " Wibbie!" Deeley, who's behind him, says he made a ridiculous decision and his dad, whose health his sister had said was unstable, sent him back.
The writer announces Shellseeker Cottages has won the "hidden gem of Southwest Florida designation and says she'll be back for a few weeks in the coming year. She hopes to see a wedding on the beach. Olivia says that there will be one: Buck and Camille. Deeley says there might be two. Happy ending for everyone!

Just like the tides that lap at the shore, this fifth book in Hope Holloway's Shellseeker Beach series is filled with highs and lows. There is so much depth to these stories. Holloway excels at creating layered, complex, fully-developed characters who she then sends on complicated, realistic, life journeys. I've become so attached to them. They feel more like good friends, even family, by this point rather than characters in a book.
I love the fact that all generations in these books have compelling storylines and full lives. Romance is not only for the young in Holloway's universe. Nor is it easy. There are some deep emotional valleys traveled in this book and scenes that ripped my heart out. I'm not ashamed to admit the tears were flowing. I like that Holloway keeps things real, exploring the real-life challenges of relationships that many experience on the path to our happily ever after. I laughed, I cried, I sighed, and when the final page was turned all I wanted to do was go back to the beginning and read it all over again. I probably will.
This is a series where each book builds upon the events and relationships from the previous one and continuing characters evolve over the course of the series. For maximum enjoyment, I strongly recommend reading the books in order.

The tides come and go as do the situations this found family finds themselves going through. One thing is for sure, no matter the issue, the love and support of these beautiful characters is steadfast! This series has touched my heart and I have invested emotions in these characters, I can’t wait for the next installment yet, I don’t want it to end. Teddy, Eliza, Camille and the rest have a common thread yet they all have a different reason for being where they are and why.

Hope Holloway just keeps them coming. I could NOT put this book down. So much going on that I read half the book in one day! Please start at book 1 of this series. You will fall in love with the characters and the setting. You will feel like you are part of this family! Thank you Hope, for another great installment. I cannot wait for the next one!!

I could not put this book down. These great characters just draw me in, I feel like I am part of this ever growing family. I so enjoy the relationships that are blossoming both old and new ones and some surprises. So many highs and lows just like the tides but what a wonderful ending! Love this series. Hope Holloway has scored another A+ with me!

Hope Holloway doesn't disappoint with her books.
Book 5 Sanibel Tides is not like the others. Its life changing for many of the characters. Lots of twists and turns. Its so real like. I cried, laughed and jumped for joy.
I can't wait for book 6 and then book 7. The last in the series. It will be heart breaking when its over. You can really relate to all the characters.

Number 5 was so good! I will be so sorry when #7 comes and goes but I have strong hope that with two successful series under Hope Holloways belt she will more in store for us. The way she weaves plots around, and not everything is roses all the time for these people, is what I really love about these stories. I have #6 to start but I'm going to put it aside for a bit and savor it on my shelf.

Another great story in this series. I swear I can hear the surf and smell all the smells only being on a beach can conjure up!

Very satisfying story with characters vey real and well realized
The characters were real as were their lives and emotions. The reader felt like she was at Shellseeker Beach with them experiencing their lives and their place on the beach as if there with these colorful people who lived on Shellseeker Beach. A very satisfying read.

Loving this series
As I read each book in this series I say to myself. This is the best one. This series just gets better as it goes along.
I'm loving the characters and their stories and the emotions you feel while reading it make you feel like you are there.

Absolutely Charming
This is an amazing series. The characters are so lovable. Well, most of them anyway. I recommend this series to any age group, but most for the over 50 romance crowd. It does have something for everyone. I'm very happy to say that i wasn't page skipping over too much sex. The stories are fantastic and very down to earth. Thank you.

Wonderful series of relationships between mothers, daughters, sisters and friends experiencing drama, romance, and heart wrenching moments of life. Like the shells they find on the beach, some are broken, some slightly damaged, and some just needing love and support. Don’t miss this emotion filled series.

I love this series!

great stories for the winter
It’s been a cold winter in the south this year.2 snow falls so far. But I am running thru these stories. Love the plot twist. Cried when he left her to go to his family. 2 days while it’s snowing. Can you tell I’m cold, lol. But start with number one and gather ask the families together.

This is a 5+++++++. I love Shellseeker Beach and the entire family. I kept thinking how could Deeley take Bash away from the only family he really knew.
I hope Sophia will find so much happiness. And I can’t wait for one possibly two beach weddings.

Another wonderful book for the record! I loved this book. Some of the twists I just didn't see coming. I laughed and I cried and I am ready to read the next one! Can't wait for Sanibel Sunsets! Thank you, Hope Holloway, for taking me to other places!

Best story in the series!
Hope, love and family is key to all of those who reside at Shellseeker Beach. The ending chapter brings it all together in a satisfying and emotional conclusion. However, there is even more to the saga. Highly recommended

Sanibel Magic
Book 5 has all the love, heartache and family wrapped around Shellseeker Beach. There are struggles and changes but as a family they continue to love and support each other. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The Kindle version is Rough!
It’s like someone forgot to copy edit the Kindle version. Someone please fix this! It’s hard to read in some spots. Love the story and characters though!
