Soulmates #3

Redeemed

Rate this book
Trajan has been given one command: kill Connor.
Connor has only one objective: stay alive.
David has a single desire: save them both.

When Connor crosses Trajan’s maker, the results are deadly. Trajan is instructed to kill his lover, and it’s impossible for a vampire to disobey the one who made him.

Impossible.

The lovers are on the run, relying on their unique skills to survive. Connor has the authority of the Elites and David possesses the power of an alpha wolf. And Trajan? He’s got his vampire heritage…if he can figure out how to use it.

He needs to work quickly, though, or his life – and Connor’s – will be forfeit.

I was torn on rating this one. Action and plot wise it is absolutely a 5 star read for me. My main issue is Connor. He says something pretty unforgivable to Trajan and with the order Trajan was given, there wasn't a worse way to react. I really left like Connor's connection with both men suffered in this one. His relationship with David is still in its infancy and for me, didn't seem to grow.
I did enjoy the pack growing, the more than satisfactory ending and all the side characters getting page time. I adore how much David has grown into his role and his connection with Trajan is just beautiful.
Though this story arc has ended, I do hope there is more to come from them

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

Redeemed is the third book in Liv Rancourt’s Soulmates series and the books form one continuous story. The identity of the third partner in the triad is not revealed until partway through book one, so this review does spoil that information, as well as some other plot elements related to the ongoing story.

Totally enjoying the adventures of David, Connor and Trajon. The story comes to a climatic finish with the "pack" coming together to defeat the villain. you need to read the series to see who that is ;)

Both the second and third books of this series lived up to the strong start it had in Soulmates. Besides the two muscle dudes and a twink threesome (could anything be better? Don’t ask my husband - 22 years ago he was a 27 year old twink when we got together but he denies it to this day), there’s the fact that the author builds up a fascinating, Celtic-mythology inspired world filled with all manner of supernatural beings and then sets the story in LA. It might sound like a mishmash, but it all feels mostly seamless and well done.

Aside from the occasional clunker sentence (too few to worry about), my main feedback is that each book could easily have been 25% longer - there’s enough fascinating scenarios, hints of the broader fictional world and opportunities for diving deeper into the main and secondary characters that I was wanting more.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy and I’m buying the paperback for my home library. The author teases a short story (which you can get from her website) and a Soulmates 4, which I’ll definitely read.

Exciting end to story arc

I think this is my favourite of the 3 stories- it starts and ends with David's POV (he's my favourite).
But seriously, the stakes are upped and the trio are fighting to win against a sire's command to kill a lover, find a missing princess and deal with 'allies' with their own agendas. The relationship between Trajan, David and Connor is getting stronger, though trust between Connor and Trajan still less than perfect. David is the perfect person bridge between the two. They are his pack and he won't let them go without a fight.
Loved the secondary characters, enjoyed the intrigue and action, all culminating in some loose ends tied up and new open-ended questions. I really hope there'll be more in this universe.

Exciting paranormal romance

This is a terrific conclusion to the tale of these paranormal characters. At it’s heart it’s a story about what makes a family/pack and what we will do for the people we love. Add in an elven Princess, Gods, a very old vampire and a huge cast of other characters and mix in the imagination of Liv Rancourt and you get a terrifically exciting trilogy. If you like mm paranormal romance stories then I highly recommend this series to you. Enjoy.

great ending

I really enjoyed reading this book and though I was a bit impatient to get to the ending it was mostly because I wanted the stressful situation with the princess and the death threats over so everyone could be happy and while everything wasn’t wrapped up in a tight box I like that better because it leaves me open to imagine more of their lives together it was a great series

Time To Stop Hiding.

MMM, Ménage/Poly, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Contemporary, Romance. Easy to read compelling page-turner with great characters, drama and action throughout with twists and turns. Not a stand-alone read as the story continues throughout the series. Thoroughly enjoyed reading their story.

If books 1 and 2 in this series focus on conflicts that affect David and Connor, the biggest plot element for book 3 surrounds Trajan. Things have been tense with his vampire maker since the very beginning of these stories, but Betancourt’s order at the end of Tested kicked off the break Trajan had probably needed for some time. Trajan has chosen his priorities in his (un)life, and they include Connor and David. So, while Betancourt whispers in Trajan’s mind to kill Connor, Trajan does everything possible to resist – even when it means leaving his lovers behind and turning to the suspect help of other vampires.

On top of that, elements of the previous major conflicts remain in play. Unexpected complications arise over how David developed new bonds with Connor and Trajan to maintain his sanity after being expelled from his original werewolf pack. Connor also remains on the hunt for an elven princess, nudged along by two opposing factions. This latter issue seems to tie back to Betancourt and why he wants Connor dead. Rancourt balances these multiple layers of conflict in a way that is accessible to readers without sacrificing drama and intrigue.

Though they are working together better than ever before, things are not 100 percent settled between this trio. Despite multiple battles for their very lives in this book, one of the major dark moments arises from Connor’s gut reaction to a decision Trajan makes. It is subtle but striking and easily could have spelled the end of this unconventional romance. Instead, I loved how Rancourt allows the characters to acknowledge the conflict even as they stick together because of their love and commitment to each other and to David. My fear was never really that this trio would fall apart – there’s plenty at stake to worry about whether the entire trio survives to the last page.

This book concludes many of the main storylines set up in the first installment of this series. However, while I know these three men are solid, Rancourt has left plenty of room to return to their world and accompany them on further adventures. I would be happy to return.

So many things to like here: a plot that draws together threads of action and adventure and builds on relationships and dynamics from previous books as well as things new to this one. A really satisfying resolution to conflicts that have taken shape over the overall story arc (vague, but no spoilers). The pack growing and developing into a force to be reckoned with. Old friends and new ones. Never a dull moment.

In terms of the dynamics between the trio, however, my heart’s still a little bruised, and the blame for that is all Connor’s. His reaction to Trajan in a really vulnerable and pivotal moment was…not good, and it’s hard not to resent that. Their equilibrium is battered (but fortunately not broken) in ways that it didn’t have to be, had he just *not,* but even as it kind of kills me I respect the author’s decision to showcase the rough edges as well as the luster of the good things.

Overall, a book that’s hard to put down!

'Redeemed' by Liv Rancourt is simply amazing. The 'Soulmates' series must be read in order for the best experience ever!

Our trio of supernaturals continue to face disasters and death every moment...
Burning houses from the last book...to a vampire who commands another to kill his lover.
It has to get better right? Not if we have more homes burning and even more wanting our lovers dead! There may be a war ahead!

We have several supes trying to recover a fairy princess, a vampire requiring another to 'turn' a human, and several elves who would be very happy to have anyone die to get what they want. When the safest place seems to be a cave in the desert, why not head there and regroup?

There is so much excitement packed into this book, your nerves will be taunt until the end!

What an amazing series. An one last question to be answered...Can a vampire be a warlock as well?

This was a truly amazing final book in this trilogy! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Trajan was given an order to kill his lover from his maker. It is pretty impossible to not obey a command from your maker. I loved seeing how the pack had grown and the pack is what comes together to help defeat the villain in this story. I was hooked on these books from the beginning and I really enjoyed reading all of them and getting to follow Trajan, Connor and David’s journey. I will be looking for more books by this author because I really enjoyed the writing style and flow of these stories!

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

I was really excited for this addition to the Soulmates series but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. I feel like after the first 2 books that the relationship would be on more solid ground however it still felt like they were at the beginning stages of trust, even outside of the issues that arose due to Jacques.

Connor in the prior 2 books was my favorite character because he was such a strong character and I felt that he really lost some of that in this book due to some of the unforgiveable things he says to Trajan and there was a lack of growth between him and David as well.

The action in the book was good, so that was a huge plus and it was great to see the secondary characters again and the addition of the new pack member was good. The series seems like it was left open for more adventures but I hope they are more developed than this one.

Connor, Trajan, and David are on the run. Hiding from Trajan’s maker. You’d think with their combined experiences they’d be better at it.

While I think the three men were finally starting to gel they still have issues. Deciding to kill Trajan’s maker fueled most of this book. The search for the princess took care of the rest of the story.

Connor has some thing’s to make up for. David, without realizing it, has started building his pack. The varied individuals drawn into it were fun and interesting. Trajan has come to terms with the necessity of what he must do.

I enjoyed this book. I liked how the author described the cords connecting our heroes. I think this whole book brought the series together and the cords from the other books were finally all pulled together and made right in this one.

I received an arc of this book.

What a rollercoaster ride! I absolutely adore this fabulous wolf, his tortured soul of a vampire, and his “other.” This book kept me on the edge of my seat as Trajan, David, and Connor worked to destroy Trajan’s sire. I loved the way these guys ended up together and the actual official formation of their pack. We met some old friends and some new ones too. I kind of felt one major moment was almost too easy but it came with a very high possible cost. Not giving any spoilers away so don’t ask. This really is a good book and I would love to see more of our lovable triad now that the main obstacle is no longer casting a shadow over their lives. These guys are flawed but they could never entertain the idea of not being together.

This installment brings us back with our trio! Triple POV is well done here! I appreciated from a romance front that as a trio in a paranormal world that their personal differences and backgrounds did make for some tension, and they did not always say and do the perfect thing. I am a bit disappointed in Connor myself, but they do stay strong! I received an ARC and not going to give the plot away because there is lot of action and suspense! I hope for maybe a short in the future for these three!

Complex adventure. Connor, David and Trajan are a set of men with different personalities who are working on forming their team within a flexibility based on their circumstances. They are constantly reacting during their personal then shared adventures. They must draw upon their individual strangths and their strength as partners. Will they succeed in the mission? Will they form a cohesive team? Will they find their balance? Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Soon all three of them are on the run while they try to solve all the issues and trying to overcome their control. What will happen? Can he disobey his maker? Can they make a better life for themselves? See how they all get on

Intriguing book that continues the story of our three lovers. Satisfying action and suspense, although I didn't feel like the characters grew very much. As the third book, I would have expected more from them. They still had/kept so many secrets. I'm not sure if this is the final book. but I hope there will be more.

Love the relationship development among Trajan, Connor and David in this one. These three have some really rough edges and realistically don't always react well under all the pressure. Their struggle to find an escape from Trajan's assignment was gripping and the ending involving the growth and strength of the pack was great.

Redeemed is wonderful conclusion to the overall story arc from Tested. I'm glad our boys, Trajan, Connor and David were able to get some resolutions and happiness. And Sheena needs her own book!
