Abigail, as in a wife of King David, from the Old Testament. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this book! It's a shame because it's a little gem. Particularily if you're into biblical fiction. There's nothing deep here, even at times I have a hard time believing Abigail ability to be so accepting (of her sister wives in particular) but it is a culture and she was, supposedly, very mature and wise and compassionate. But that issue aside, I thought it was a well told story. I absolutely will try and track down some of this author's other biblical fiction.
