This was my FIRST medieval RH and I was excited but unsure. OMG, it was so good. I love the FMC she is so sassy and strong and hilarious. I do think she might use some language and hang gestures that maybe weren't totally around in the era. LMFAO but I don't care I am here for it!!!
The men are so yummy and I love that we are acquiring our harem as we go and it's not just BAM harem.
The beginning threw me off and I put the book down and was like WTF why?? Then I decided to keep going and the story is just sooo good. You forget about the tragedy in the beginning lol.
Also the ending??? That cliffy?? I hate you

This was my first medieval RH and I was here. for. it. From the beginning, I was like okay, let's get this on! and then blammo...a WTF moment. Rory is a great FMC. She's strong, she's sassy, she's an absolute delight of a character. She has been promised to King Avery. On the first day of her long trip to the King, she meets Carver Leery, who immediately thinks she's nothing but a spoiled princess. Oh how wrong he is. But the sexual tension between them is thick! And then en route, Carver and Rory get kidnapped by the Black Forest Bandits. oh these men are sexy. Bale, Wolf, Mateo and Maximo are incrediblly hot, they're smart. Ohh and there will be MM in this series. I was completely captivated by this book from the very beginning. oh and that cliffy, that will stick with you. I need book 2!!

This book is freaking amazing!!!! Absolutely loved it and could not put it down. Loved that it was a different kind of take for a medieval fantasy. All the men are yummy and couple you want to strangle but can't help but fall in love with the wit, banter, sexual tension, the characters and the whole setting. Rory is just an amazing fmc. She is so funny and laid back and all that she goes through would make anyone scream but she takes it in stride and makes the best of it. And for the record Jakob, Maximo and Wolf are mine. I licked them so they are mine lol. November Sweets has really brought out this fantastic story that you will not be able to put down. Highly recommend this book. Can't wait for book 2!!!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book! I’ve never read a medieval fantasy before and I am here for it…especially reverse harem! I never knew I needed it in my life!
Rory is a snarky orphan girl that has been promised to the King. When she gets her heart broken she is more than ready to leave her boring life behind. On the way to the King she (and one of the kings guards) is kidnapped by the Black Forest Bandits. I’m saying it now, Wolfie is mine! I love how sweet and caring the gentle giant is with Rory! Then we have the twins, Maximo and Mateo. They are are identical in looks but nothing else. And Bale, I’m honestly not sure if I like him or not! He’s quite the jerk!
This book has heartbreak, angst, adventure, mystery, drama, and so much spice! I love the relationships building between Rory and the guys. Even her relationship with Carver…the kings guard. I’m curious to see how King Avery plays into the story and if he will be one of her harem. After that cliffhanger I’m anxiously awaiting book two!

DNF - quit at 20%
To start with, this seemed like it was written by a high schooler, very immature. This was labeled a “Medieval Fantasy”, but it sure didn’t read like one. To start with, the language is to modern/casual. Then, the FMC, Rory, did not behave like a woman from medieval times that will marry a king at all, more like a tavern wench from that time period trying to sleep with almost any guy with a dick. All she can think about is sex, even though she was in love with the guy in the beginning, when he’s killed on top of her having sex professing their love for each other, & her guardian drugs her & fills her with lies, & the next day she’s ready to move on & have sex with the kings Captain. I absolutely couldn’t stand Rory, no way I want to read about her sleeping thru the men of the kingdom. I won’t read more from this author.
At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

Honestly it was great and I'll read the next one.
The heroine is unlike any others, free and sensual, and the MLs, bandits / knights, are surprisingly sweet (apart from Bale).
I hope Avery won't be a new ML bc he seems horrible and I find it quite disappointing to find that Jakob has not died.
It's not that I didn't like him but it diminishes the anguish / suspense of the books if the men always come back alive and I liked the idea of her becoming a new her with new persons.
One small critic is for the cover, i'm sorry but personnaly I find it bad taste / ugly and it doesn't give the will to read this book which is good.
+ there is MM if some don't like it

Fantastic start to a series!
I just so happened to see an announcement that this book had been released and after reading the blurb, decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Although the pacing was a little off in certain parts, the storyline was original and the banter was fun. I like the relationships she's building with the guys her refusal to be anything but herself is refreshing. I can't wait to read the next part of this story!

I was hoping for a book with a decent story. This book reads like a bad porno. Honestly the fmc has sex on the brain most of the book. Her commentary is annoying, whiney, and sassy that borders on b!tchy. So many eyerolls. In the first half of the book a character with a penis only had to breathe in her general direction and she was already pining for a kiss. She was just flat out unlikable.

Oh wow.... poor Rory and Jakob... I love Rory she is Sassy and stands up to Captain Leery. Oh damn she is crazy for doing what she did to get warmth but hey Wolf is kind of amazing! The dynamic between Rory and The Bandits is very interesting! Also finding out about who Bale is was crazy! I really enjoyed how each of the bandits got their time with Rory in some way. But what the heck that ending!!!

Wow, just wow
I have been in a slump for weeks, not finding anything to hold my attention more then a few chapters but this book, started reading it and could not put it down. Some of the pieces fell together easily but there are still twists and turns and surprises. Great fun read with some mystery thrown in. Definitely recommend.

A must read!
This book has everything from the comfort of a fairytale, action, adventure and mystery! I love Rory and all the spitfire she has with the band of bandits. I can not wait for the next book in this series! November has outdone herself and you can definitely tell how much of her heart she put into this story!

I absolutely fell in love with this book!!!! I could not get enough of Rory! The female main character is so unapologetically herself and I loved every second of it! The MEN! I swear Wolf holds my heart in his hands. I loved this storyline and that ending, it completely crushed me! I can’t wait for the next book!

Great book!
Read on KU. This is the first book a series with fantasy story gave me all I want in a book - sassy characters, good mix of action and romance with engaging storyline. Really really enjoyed this.

I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I first started this book. I knew the basics about this book. It is a reverse harem medieval fantasy book that has adventure, action and spice. I haven't read a lot of RH so I was excited to read this and BABY I was not disappointed. The very first page of the book had me drawn in. I was already so connected to a character then they were taken away from me far to soon.
The main female character knows what she wants and she gets it done. She isn't afraid of her sexuality, she embraces it to the fullest. I loved all the main characters of this book. Each one has a place in my heart. I really can't wait to have the second one in my hands because the end of the first one had my jaw dropped. I was speechless and pissed off at the same time.
Oh and the spice is there sweetie.

I seriously could not put this book down. I was held captive from the beginning until the end. It does have one heck of a cliffhanger at the end but so worth the read. I fell in love with Rory and her men. I have to say Wolf was my favorite. I did figure out what Bale was looking for not far into it but waiting for him and the others to figure out was worth the wait. I seriously relate to Rory as she is very stubborn and hard headed. She knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. If you are looking for a book that have lots of spice, humor, action, and drama all wrapped up in one book this is the book for you. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book of this series.

I wish there were more stars to give because this book was amazing! I just love Rory she sassy , spunky , and yet sweet and kind. Heck I wish I were like her lol. This book had me chuckling a time or two with all the snarky comments and peen punching . The steamy scenes were just perfect not straight out porn. I can feel the feelings between Rory and her wolf and well all the men. Like with any great book there has to be a sad moment and it gutted me like it did Rory . You guys will not be disappointed with this book it delivers in everything in my opinion.

Magical and Crazy Ride!
What a magical and heart wrenching journey so far. It’s been a while since I’ve read a fantasy book that really took me into another world. Rory is unapologetically dedicated to being true to herself. She doesn’t let other’s judgement dictate her actions or how she treats those around her. I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t go into much detail about the men in the book, but November definitely keeps us on our toes. Just when we think we know these men, a couple of twists are thrown are way. And that ending, talk about a one-two punch cliffy. I can’t wait for book 2!!
