Rabbit Shifter

Rate this book
Mina is a capable, independent Rabbit shifter who has proven her worth over and over despite her timid-prey nature worth. She is one of Howl's best programmers. She has a good job that pays well and everything she wants in life.

Everything changes when Howl hires Derek, a predator shifter, a Werewolf. They promise her that he will stay away from her. They don't want a lawsuit on their hands, and putting a predator shifter in the presence of a prey shifter in a confined space is a sure way to get one.

Mina has never liked being told what to do, so naturally, she tries to get as close to him as possible. The man is an enigma, powerful and a highly-sought-after expert in his field, capable of working anywhere he wants. He has no business being in a small company such as theirs. She's sure he's hiding something and is here for nefarious reasons. So, she breaks into his office and finds out exactly what he's after only to find that the reason he's here is not at all what she expected. He's here for her.

And she's basically offered herself up on a silver platter to him.

She is in so much trouble.

I've read a few good rabbit shifter novels in the past, and I was hoping to read another good one... uh, no.

The story started off with a great premise. The female rabbit shifter is an amazing video game creator, a mistress of coding. She and her team is the core to their company that has been growing way too big by leaps and bounds. The company decides to hire a werewolf (aka wolf shifter) to be the company's major mover and shaker. Yeah, he's a predator. But the company already has their leading prey lady whom they owe too much to, and her team is willing to walk if she's not adequately protected. She's so consumed by her social anxiety, therefore protected from the public by her career and her team that she's woefully ignorant of those predators who are lurked out in the world...

Then when the MCs finally get their sexual parts together, the story ends. And it isn't just on any ol' standard cliffhanger. There is something very dark suggested. I thought it might be just an intro story leading to a major trilogy of sports, but no. Just the end. This is even WORSE than your standard icky cliffhanger because there should be a rescue book coming up on its heels.

Nope. Nothing than I can find.

That sucks.

But still, this should had never ended. It's even worse than just rushing a story to its conclusion. It's like at least half the novel was never uploaded to Kindle, that's how bad it is. I kept looking for more on my Kindle, but there was just some advertisement and a short sample of another book this author wrote.

You know, the sample has nothing to do with shifters, therefore, I'm not intending to waste my valuable reading time on this author unless there had been an uploading error, and the rest of the book is available.

Talk about bait-and-switch for a book. Haven't seen that in a long time.
