I love stories that have a sexy hero, a beautiful heroine and a charismatic villian. The latest by Yukta has these in spades, wherein the antagonist is as powerful and impactful as a protagonist.

Manas, tortured and haunted by a past tragedy involving his wife's death, is living a meaningless existence. The only spark in his otherwise listless life is his daughter Ziva. He gets close to Aarya, his executive assistant, when they go to Mussoorie for a new construction project. Aarya, weighed down by a dozen responsibilities, is a giver, a nurturer. Secretly in love with Manas, she revels in joy when Manas reciprocates the attraction for her. Comes in the bad man, Dhruv, who hates Manas with a vengeance. Handsome, rich and vile, he is obsessed with owning Aarya and making her his. He uses her father as a pawn to get close to her, and compels her to ask him for help, when he threatens to throw them out of their current home. What happens hereon? Does Dhruv succeed in destroying Manas and Aarya? Read on to unravel the suspense.

I love Aarya. Selfless, loving and a neat freak under duress, she faces her life head on courageously. Her love for Manas is so pure and the relationship between Aarya and Ziva is filled with tender moments. Manas is a dream. The way he conquers over his guilt and fear with Aarya's love is beautifully narrated. And the chemistry they share, it's my kind of slow burn. The banter between the siblings is adorable. But my favourite character is Dhruv, the hateful man (Yes, can't resist bad boy vibes). You wanna kill him, yet there is something about him that's so attractive. The way he is described, his persona, his style quotient, is super sexy and pulls you in. To make 'hate' seem alluring is brilliant writing. Totally loved the book and waiting for more. A must read guys.

The story is romantic, emotional, angsty, dramatic and a little dark. This is a contemporary romance with a pinch of darkness. The story begins with an emotional note and will suck the readers right into it. It has an engaging plot line with sweet characters. It also has a strong female protagonist who the readers will adore. The sizzling chemistry between the protagonists will make it a perfect read for romance readers. It is a highly recommended book for readers who like this genre

Personal Take:
I have been a fan of this author's work since her first book. I really loved the way her writing has evolved with each book. I got absorbed in this book right from the first chapter and I could not put this book down. I was so eager to know what happens next that I completed this one in no time. All the characters were portrayed wonderfully and the end was swoon-worthy.

Did you hear? The Malhotras are back !! Oh, you didn’t. That's because I have been fortunate enough to read the latest in the series, almost straight from the oven :P. Since I was practically shouting about the previous books from the rooftop, when the author asked me whether I would like to read the third book and that too starring Big brother, Manas, all I said was …where do I sign up :P. So there !! I already broke the news that the book is all about Manas, the big brother of the Malhotra clan. Out of the previous two books, my inclination was towards the first book which had an element of thrill, danger and romance and this book has brought back that same magic.

Beyond the Darkness is a bit more serious and not fluffy romance and that is the charm of the book. It has got a bit more emotional intensity to the plot with the underlying theme of pain, grief and finding love again. Usually, people go gaga about a book because of its protagonist or “hero” but weirdly enough I was more intrigued or hooked by the antagonist of the book. No doubt he is one SOB, you would love to hate, but the character did bring some element to the table that kind of elevated the plot strength to another level.

If you have been following the series, you know that the book sails on the family ship. It's the family quotient in the book, the dynamics and moments between all the family members that add colour to this book. So why should this book be left behind? This book had some adorable and charming family moments and all the characters from previous books do make their presence. Oh, wait !! I did miss the sister and our firangi damaad :P

In conclusion, I would say that the third book does bring back the charm and is a well-etched fit for the series. Having read the second book from the series first and then going back to the first book, I can safely say that you can easily pick any of these books as a standalone as each book has its own background story to ease you into the book’s world. Beyond the Darkness is filled with family goals, relationship struggles and twists and turns to keep it enjoyable.

oh by the way did you notice the cover :P

✨This book is all about Aarya Shetty and Manas Malhotra,Aarya she is works under Vijay Malhotra who is Manas father, She decided to resign her job and take a offer from Dhruv,he is also a business man and he is enemy of Manas. She comes from Middle class family where she is the one who needs to support her family, her father losses all his money in gambling that Dhruvs plan to tackle her so she can works with him.But Unexpectedly Vijay offers her a great position of the company that she needs to works along with Manas, first he was like giving big NO for this.
✨But they both needs to work along with each other when they go to see their site and all,one night they ended up kissing but Manas regret that i really got super angry of his actions and words but he is a good guy though I can't get angry after he Reliazes his mistakes, so they communicate with each about their feelings and all I love that part really.
✨I don't know this book makes me cry but it did, seriously this book is wholesome for me. When I reading this, I'm just living with Aarya I could say, it's like I'm travelling with her in this story, her sacrifice to her family, the way stands on herself to provide good life to her sister and mother, being with Alcoholic father and carrying his debt to pay off is not easy way to do that. Even most of the boys won't do that for their families but Aarya is just one strong women in this story, she just given up enjoying the life she wants for her family. Not everyone can do this their family.
✨Manas who single father,he is such a sweet person I could, he has night mares about his late wife who died in the accident, he just surviving for his fiver year daughter Ziva, I love her so much. This book is whole lot of fun to read, you can see the family drama and family affection with one other how they all get along with their opinions and all. There are some twists that I didn't know it would happen in the story but it's really Unexpecting for me, when I started reading this book trust me I didn't put laptop away because it's so interesting to read and personally

Beyond The Darkness is a nice and short read by Yuktha Arsani this is the third book in The Malhotra Series.
This book tells the story of Aarya Shetty and Manas Malhotra. Both of them are dealing with some hard stuff in their lives. On one hand Manas is a single father dealing with grief due to the death of his beloved wife and on the other hand Aarya is going through a lot of problems in her family. But in a way they both are attracted to each other and when they get an opportunity to work together on an upcoming project the get to explore this attraction. But that's not it there's Druv, an a a spoilt rich asshole who wants to have Araya at any cost and he will go to any lengths necessary to have her even it means making the lives of Aarya and Manas and everyone related to them a living hell.
I had a nice time reading this book it was really well written. It's written in a nice pace so that the readers don't get bored moreover one can finish it in one or two sitings. I really liked how the author explored the topic of grief and trauma can really bring a person down. Also through the Druv character the author shows how power can corrupt a person. Moreover I found the relationship between Aarya and her sister and Manas' really adorable. The only short coming would was that it a bit small I wanted to send a little more time with the characters in order to know more about them. I'll conclude by recommending this book to everyone please do read it. If you like short romance reads then you should read this one.

The story hovers around 3 characters. A charismatic handsome man named , Manas Malhotra, who lives with his only daughter Ziva. Ziva being separated from her mother after a tragic road accident which makes Manas feel guilty every time. Here comes the 2nd character called Aarya Shetty a simple beautiful girl who is the secretary of Mr. Manas in his office. But her life is not that simple as her father is a drunkard and everytime his presence at home makes everything problematic.
Life never goes out of bad characters. So here comes the villain names Dhruv Sharma who sees himself all around Aarya and dreams about making Aarya the Queen of his life not in a good meaning. So he just played a game to trap her family.
Here the twist comes as Aarya is falling for Manas and did that chemistry went on in an official trip to Missourie? Did Dhrub tries really hard to make Aarya his life partner for the sake of his daughter? Or did the lovely couple have got a happy ending?

Even being in the genre the story made me to read and put me on my bed to get the result of this love story. The word are simple and those are presenting as a live conversation between two guys or in between a group of people. Simply superb.

BOOK REVIEW
BOOK - BEYOND THE DARKNESS
AUTHOR - YUKTHA ASRANI
GENRE - CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE, THRILLER

Heard a lot about the Malhotra series and I was ecstatic to read my first book by the author Yuktha Asrani. Though this book is part of a series, I felt that it can be read as a standalone book too.

The protagonists of this book are Manas Malhotra and Aarya. Manas is a rich, hardworking young entrepreneur who is windowed. He is a doting father to his bundle of joy, Ziva. Aarya is a young and hardworking women, working as a executive secretary. Aarya had a past of her own and is determined to make a mark in her life.

Both Manas and Aarya like each other but do not express to one another. But on a business trip to the picturesque place - Mussorie, the cupid played its role.

All was going well in their love nest and Ziya was bonding well with Aarya. But the trouble in the paradise came with the entry of Dhruv, who was besotted with Aarya. He was determined to win over her by hook or crook.

The book was a easy read with elements which made it a page turner. The mood of the book was in consonance with the development of the story. Will Manas, Aarya and Ziya move beyond the darkness is for you to check out.

Manas is a tortured soul who is dealing with the trauma of his wife's death. Her daughter is the one that is keeping him from falling to pieces. His dark and gloomy life gets its first ray of sunshine in the form of Aarya.

I simply loved Aarya! She shines like a diamond at her lowest. She is surrounded by problems larger than life. But she never gives up. She is the character that keeps on giving. She is smart, hardworking and beautiful. Her compassion and love heal the crack of Manas's heart.

The chemistry between them is scorching hot!

Whereas Dhruv who has everything is a vindictive and heartless soul and wants to destroy everyone around him.

The dilemma and hardships that Manas and Aarya face took me on a roller coaster ride as the story was full of twists and turns with a surprise ending.

Their love story is full of angst, struggle, passion and suppressed emotions.

This is my second book from this author, and I must say I have become a fan of her writing. Her books are filled with emotions and drama that will delight the reader to the core.

Looking forward to her next book!

Ek tha Raja, Ek thi Rani and Yeh un dono ki Kahani.

Translation - There was a king and a queen. This is their story.

I remembered this famous quote from a bollywood film as I finished reading this book. The king of the story is a recent windower Manas Malholtra and the queen is his personal secretary - Aarya. They both known each other for a while and Aarya takes care of almost everything related to the business activities of the Malhotra household. She is a pseudo family member with her great rapport with Manas daughter - Ziya, who is a live wire. Soon, Manas and Aarya realise that they have more than a platonic relationship and wanted to take it forward.
But as in every love story, there is a villain. Villain is in the form a lovelorn Dhruv who wants Aarya for himself. He can go to any extend to disturb this peaceful ecosystem.
Will Dhruv is successful in separating Manas and Aarya?
Who will Aarya choose ?

The vocabulary of the book was good and I liked the subtle hues of darkness in the book which kept in pace with the subject line.Furthermore, I am piqued to read the author's other books in the series after reading this one. Do grab your copy too.

This book is something a little different to what I usually read which I love. I love discovering, supporting and reading new authors to me. I read this at its rawest form prior to it going to the editor and I love how this author trusted me enough to give my opinion. This book is based in India and is an opposites attract/arranged marriage/ office relationship romance. When I started to read this book I didn’t know what to expect, it had me asking a-lot of questions and it took me to a different place then what I expected. Aarya is this beautiful hidden gem with a heart of gold, sassy and shy heroine that does the best she can for her family which her father had distroyed and keeps destroying. It’s based around Aarya, Dhruv and Manas. One beautiful broken soul who lost the love of their life and lives in a shelf of himself but lives for his daughter. Then you have dhruv, the egotistical, narcissistic that thinks he has the claim on Aarya. This book has a lot of action, twists and turns, swooney, sizzling and angry moments (where you want to scream).

‘Beyond the darkness’ is a contemporary romance fiction with a full Bollywood masala story.

The story starts with Manas and Aarya dealing with their demons and surviving their day-to-day life, with Dhruv playing his antics. This story is a love triangle. The second lead Dhruv is the antagonist too. The characters are well written, and each has its journey, making it easier to connect with them. The end leaves you with a mushy feeling while the book is well-paced, making it un-put-downable.

The book is 331 pages. Each chapter is from a different point of view of the three characters. Hence, the story never felt monotonous.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading simple romance. Even if you haven't read the first two books, you won't feel astray. This book can be considered a stand-alone. After reading this book, I might even finish reading the other two.

Yuktha Asrani has been on my top 10 new authors' list every since I read her first book.... someone whose books I look forward to..

And she's once again proved why her books are an exciting read

Manas and Aarya, both fighting their own demons in different ways, come together for a project and sparks fly... how they turn out to be each other's strength and emerge stronger together is beautifully narrated in the book.... the cute little bubbly Ziva definitely adds the much needed excitement in their serious lives .... the humorous incidents between them was a total fun read. I expected the regular kidnapping story and the works but I was pleasantly surprised with the unexpected twist in the end..Hats off to Yuktha for a different and unusual ending

I felt like I was reading the narrative of a Bollywood film while reading this book. It was engrossing, heartwarming, and full of flawed characters and swoon-worthy scenes. The portrayal of Dhruv, the sexy bad guy whom we despise but who nevertheless has a place in our hearts, was actually quite impressive.

The anguish that Manas is experiencing, as well as the bullshit that Aarya is dealing with, are well-written and believable. Their chemistry is fantastic as well. We also got Ziva in this story, which is the icing on the cake. I absolutely adore her.

Overall, I think this book is a hit. I would recommend it to any romance fans, especially those who are new to the genre.

The story revolves around three main characters, Aarya, Manav and Dhruv. The plotline has everything, love story, romace, vengeance, family, drama and the spiceeeee. It felt like reading a bollywood movie(the y2k ones). It was a nice long read. The writing is also beginner friendly. The language is easy to understand. The connection felt with the characters was surreal. Recommended. The title could have been better, just my suggestion. Now I might also dive into the rest of malhotra series after this.
